one thing i find endlessly funny about the Explore The Szarr Palace quest is that Kozakura is based on Ashikaga-era Japan. This isn’t headcanon, it’s literally in book two of Kara-Tur: The Eastern Realms. It’s got its own rich lore and campaigns and adventures take place there.

Which leads me to my point. Cazador basically banked his entire plan on the assumption that no one in the city would be able to speak or read Japanese, and it fucking worked.
