Okay, so, this is yet another one of those posts where I'm just going to go on a more needless tangent about a game/story and how it reminds me of my own, so this is nothing but void filler. 🕺🌌

However, if you'd still like to have a read, go for it!

I've been watching playthroughs of the God of War games to be able to fully appreciate the newest release. I've since made it to the fourth one and I just feel the need to gush about how much I love it.

God of War (4) and the parallels it has to my own series with Etherealism and whatnot warms my heart. The previous three games are good, yes, but the fourth one just hits different. And the fourth one is when I saw/felt that connection. It's so good. 🤍

The way they write Kratos in the fourth one as a sort of "veteran" character, as I like to refer to them, and his relationship with his godhood gives me some serious Sal vibes and her relationship with her Etherealism. How disciplined and controlled it tries to be, but still susceptible to error it is. How conflicted it all is. It's beautiful! There are plenty of characters out there that are "monsters" that, at surface value, are seen as monsters, but I love that it's taking something as glorified as being a god or goddess and showing the shadows it can cast. Etherealism is so similar, in that regard. They're obviously different concepts at the end of the day, but the core theme just really resonated with me. Clear to the extent that, if you wanted to get a nice feel for more "mature" Ethereals (like Sal) and how they try to coexist with others, I'd recommend experiencing the game and how it portrays Kratos.

I seriously had another page or two written to follow this, but I did away with it and figured I'd just leave it there. That's probably the most notable point I wished to bring up about this game and how it reminds me of my own tales anyway.

So...! I guess this is just a thought I wished to share with those who may be sincerely interested in getting more of a feel for who Sal is and a feel for the Ethereal experience in general. It's not a unique concept, by any means, but I happen to adore the way God of War (4) portrays it. That game has been inspiring the heck out of me. 💕

Ghostbusters: Afterlife spoilers below

OH GOSH I LOVE EGON'S FAMILY... YES THIS IS MY DAUGHTER, YES THESE ARE MY GRANDCHILDREN...

And seeing Egon's ghost. LOUD SOBBING. I said I was gonna miss 'im when I went into this movie and THEN... oghh it took everything in me not to sob aloud in a theater of like maybe 10 other people. (Most people I'm sure went to the noon showing as it was sold out.)

AND SEEING HOW PETER AND RAY AND WINSTON MATURED FFFFFFHHH they're all still so handsome,,, 🥺🥺😳

GODS THE CASTING FOR PHEOBE WAS PHENOMENAL, the actress really portrays how she really is both her grandpa and her own person in such a beautiful way.

I have. THREE aus with this addition to the Ghostbusters cinematic universe.

Ferris (s/i) dies alongside Egon and the couple haunt Egon's home Beetlejuice-style but without the scaring people out of the house plot point AU

Egon dies and Ferris stays at the house/farm for obvious reasons, but Callie is unaware until she gets there AU

Ferris saves Egon's life, but the threat of Gozar is still out there, of course. Ferris decides the two are getting too old and things are getting too risky to keep Callie and her children in the dark AU

Ferris would be the only one who keeps active contact with Peter, Ray, and Winston in AUs where they live, but the relationship is strained for a multitude of reasons.
