definitely don't think about why a psychic would have been helpful for the Case of the Shrieking Doll. don't think about how Edwin is terrified of dolls and won't say why, but Charles knows it must have something to do with hell. don't think about Charles wanting to spare Edwin pain but needing his help to close the case and Edwin facing his fears because a good detective does what he must to solve the case

I think it's amazing how evolutions change even before Hisuian times. It seems like the Lickitung line was way more focused on using Rollout as both attack and self defense (judging by the spikes), and only recently started taking a more "humanoid" shape without 'em. I've seen theories 'bout how that's probably due to more predator presence in ancient Kanto, Hoenn and Hisui. In modern times they don't really have that many predators anymore, so they can get fatter/bigger and evolve into modern Lickilicky!

This is my idea for what a interns trauma candy salad might looks like

Bart: “hi I’m Bart and I raised a kid when I was 8 because neither of us had parents and I brought the bowl”

Mudd: “Hi I’m mudd and my memory got wiped by a bunch of rocks and I’m bringing the dirt”

Gum Gum “Hi, im gum gum and my mom is a god and I’m bringing the gum”

Kyborg “hi I’m kyborg and my entire village got murdured and my arm got chopped off by quadron and I brought the sour patch kids”

Bart “hi I’m Bart again and my parents got taken by a shadow queen and I brought the skittles”

Mudd “hi I’m mudd and my mentor tried to kill me and my dad and I brought more dirt”

Gum gum “hi I’m gum gum and one time I ate a worm and it was really wriggly and scary and I brought the skittles”

Kyborg “hi I’m kyborg and I spent 30 years in a forest without any other people mourning my family and i brought the gummy worms”

i'll be very candid with you my friend: i'm totally lost too !!!!!!! your comic-reading journey is about as green as mine and so i cant personally give you a super great guide- but beautiful people on the internet exist who've done most of the dirty work for us when sorting through the stories you 'should' read so i'm borrowing them to help us both

you can read this article to read about one person's advice with exploring krakoa and- in their opinion- its most 'significant' stories, though to summarize the issues they recommend looking into:

House of X/Powers of X (which you should have already done)

X of Swords event

Hellfire Gala

Inferno

X Lives and X Deaths of Wolverine

Second Hellfire Gala

Third Hellfire Gala

Fall of the House of X/Rise of the Powers of X (also should have already done, however...) +Single issue: X-Men (2021 series) #35 aka Uncanny X-Men #700 is featured at the end of the FoX omnibus, though the omnibus excludes an extra bit at the end involving a cliffhanger for Charles's fate after he's arrested

if you want to dig a little deeper though, you can check out this article from another individual which includes another wave of 'relevant' (word used loosely as some can be considered more poignant than others) krakoa stories and stories related to it or set during the period.

it's a lot longer and more in depth than the last article, so again i only really rec peaking at this one depending on how deep you wanna go, or if you decide you want to explore more after reading the more 'key' stories. def wouldn't hurt to give it a glance just in case you read some summaries that pique your interest!

all in all, don't take these as concrete rules or guides to follow: comics are meant to be fun, these are just good starting points if you're feeling lost or overwhelmed. at the end of the day, you decide ultimately what you want to read and which stories interest you the most

I feel like gum gum would probably accidentally rip his hat a lot, and the first time he ripped it he would be really sad and run to Bart crying because he just ruined the only thing his dad gave him, but Bart would tell him that it was ok and use some scrap fabric he had and patch it up for him and Gum Gum would be so amazed that Bart could fix his stuff, and any time he ripped anything he would take it to Bart so he could se Bart put it back together. And then as Gum Gum got older, Bart would start to teach him how to sew up his own stuff, because in Barts opinion it would be something everyone should know, and originally Gum Gum would be really bad at it and keep pricking himself with the needle, but he wouldn’t want to stop trying to learn because he would wan to be able to fix stuff just like Bart, and eventually he would be able to fix stuff, but Bart would still help him and do it with him because that was their thing. And then the first time gum gum ripped his hat after Bart left for the pirate ship Gum gum would be really sad because he would have to fix it without Barts help and he always asked Bart to thread the needle for him but now he had to do it on his own and anytime he would repair his hat he would be sad Bart wasn’t there. But Bart would come back and when he did they would continue their tradition of mending their stuff while they were interns and they would bring Mudd and Kyborg in on the tradition, they would teach Mudd how to mend and sew because he never learned and they would help kyborg learn whatever he needed help on and just help mend and make clothes for the group because they would probably need a lot of new clothes. But sometimes they would just hang out together and sit by the fire and talk about stuff and it would be their alone time and when they saw each other years latter they would spend time together mending orphans clothes and talking.
