It’s a shame my wicked stepmom and I don’t even like each other a little obviously. 💜😉 She’s beautiful. She loves her children. She makes me laugh. She’s wildly opinionated (in the nature vs nurture debate, nurture clearly won out in some of the traits I learned from her). She loves my dad more than you’d think a person could love another human being. She works hard and surrounds herself with beauty in all forms. I love her so much and wouldn’t trade her for the world. When mom told me last week that she wanted a tattoo with Dennis’s initials, I thought she’d just had too many mimosas. Girl’s day started by getting tattoos in his honor. We traced his initials from a note he left me. Dennis’s nickname for me was sunshine. Once mom saw the sketch, she decided we needed to be twins. And I love it so much. Never, in a million years, would I have thought mom would get a tattoo. I know he’d get quite a kick out of this. I miss that man.
