the thing about working from home full time is that it's much harder to justify calling out. like i don't have to get properly dressed and go to an office and be face to face with people all day, i can just be miserable in my pajamas in the living room

and really, he didn’t. he had no clue that soap had seen and loved every version of him throughout history, that they’d laughed and kissed and left their fingerprints on every continent, or that he’d still love him centuries in the future when they did this song and dance for the trillionth first time.

The most basic thing to say ever but Lloyd’s childhood has affected him so heavily as he’s grown up. When he was trying to imitate his dad, back when he was “bad” and “evil,” he was totally alone. He was basically ostracized that entire time during and after Darkley’s. It was only after he got taken in by the team and becoming a “good guy,” the destined “green ninja” that he was given even a little bit of support and love. Which is like pretty good, right? He stops being a little menace and gets the support and the guidance he’s so desperately needed his whole life.

These early experiences completely inform his perspective on things though, maybe at a more subconscious level, I guess. I think it all gets interpreted in his brain like this: When I’m evil I’m sad and alone, and when I’m good I get to be safe and happy and stuff. Which again like, maybe those are the kind of associations you’d want to instill in a child. But Lloyd really, intensely does not want to be left alone again. And he feels the only way to ensure that this does not happen is to be as “good” as possible; pushing down any kind of bad feeling or impulse he might have. Lloyd feels like he has to be “perfect” or else everyone will leave him. And anytime he does end up losing someone he interprets it as him somehow not being good enough to save them/help them/whatever. Which is obviously illogical cuz he is just some guy at the end of the day and that means he’s gonna do things that are considered “bad” sometimes!!!! Its the abandonment issues + the perfectionism I’ve cracked it I’ve cracked what’s wrong with our boy (<<< is repeating what ppl have probably been saying forever)

I'm mainly interested in what snarky remark Lars has this time but how would the ROs react if its first date, MC is wearing high heels for the first time and trips, avoiding a faceplant by doing a handstand...only to realize they're wearing a dress and gravity hath no mercy?

This happened to me in high school and my friends still joke that I'm the type to literally fall head over heels in love. 😆

Rook: Honestly, he would probably laugh LMAO if you're embarrassed or try to say anything about it, he'd be like "No, that was awesome. I was too focused on the acrobatics to notice anything." (Half true, but he isn't about to admit that alkdjalfjda)

Beck: Has the grace to pretend that didn't happen and/or gently reassure you that it's fine and he wasn't paying that much attention if you're embarrassed. Would also offer a hand/arm to help make sure you don't trip again

Rhea: She is slightly embarrassed, and if you're embarrassed that would only double it. She'd try her best to brush it off, saying, "Well, at least you didn't trip, right?" It'd probably take her a minute to look you in the eyes again

Zoe: Kinda just blinks at you with wide eyes, like "Are you ok??" before the whole series of events hits them and they kinda just freeze. If you're embarrassed to, they are covering their face with their hands, stammering, "It's fine, it's fine! I promise!"

Lars: "Maybe get some practice in before you wear those." He'd just roll his eyes at your antics, probably not even surprised you'd do that without thinking lol He wouldn't even acknowledge your embarrassment, like it isn't a big deal let's carry on. He would keep an eye on for the rest of the date though, half expecting you to trip again

???: I also think they'd laugh afkldja but more so under their breath because this just seems like something you'd do without thinking. I think they'd also just genuinely be impressed at your quick reaction time. If you get embarrassed, they just gently reassure you, "Rather that than you getting hurt, right?"
