okay so

i think the viktor and mel hallucinations during jayce's whole Moment in 2x07, their eyes are just completely black. and its VERY faint but u can KIND OF see the outline of their irises if u look REALLY close (irl)

to show u what i mean:

first ones are just normal settings (tho my computer brightness is all the way up), i only messed with the exposure n highlights of the pictures and stuff in the middle ones, and outlined the eyes in the third ones

​which could make sense in terms of his mental state i think ? he maybe feels like he let them down, or betrayed them or couldnt help them in a way ??

they dont feel human to him anymore. or maybe hes created these images so theyre judging him as he can only reminisce on what happened and how he left things

mel’s vision looks maybe like either angry, stubborn, strong willed or annoyed lol... her chin is kinda turned down, with downturned eyebrows, and her lower lids are halfway closed implying that shes like glaring or narrowing her eyes at him, her lips almost look pursed together and i think ? her nostrils are flared but its so hard to tell lmao we only get like three frames of over exposure HAAH take these with a grain of salt lmfao

viktor (even tho i cannot for the life of me read his expression HAHA) to the best of my ability i think kinda looks hurt or confused, maybe innocent for lack of a better term or scared. ((which given how he left jayce it would kinda fit lmao)) BUT his brows are ever so slightly scrunched together, one is higher than the other which usually implies confusion or thinking or admiring. eyes are wide open, mouth is agape a teenie bit, these are usually seen with softer, positive or more admirable expressions, and his chin is tilted upward. im not trying to turn this into a jayvik thing i swear im just comparing to my facial recognition knowledge HAHA

and as he loses himself deeper in the hexcore, the more he starts losing and/or fearing the two ppl he loved most ? ... and worries how he’d get back to them (if at all) and how he would imagine they would react.

the two ppl who not only made and brought him to who he is today, but uplifted and supported and stood by him for ~10 years despite everything

anyway this theory would all pair nicely with the voices that start playing in the background during his lil Montage lmao it kind of culminates into a massive guilty conscious, that then outwardly presents itself in their hallucinations:

“i never asked for this” - jayce to viktor, after their conversation about him breaking their promise about destroying the hexcore, resulting in vik leaving him lmao. also jayce literally turned viktor into this metal husk so hes gotta have that sitting on his shoulders too lmfao

“[heimer] was my mentor, and i betrayed him” - jayce (to mel) abt voting heimer off the council despite heimer ending up being completely right about magic in the first place

“it corrupts” “you must destroy it” “ive seen nations destroyed” - heimer about the hexcore, jayce screams over this as those lines play, anguishing over the fact that he literally did this to himself and hes the reason Piltover is (or will be) no more bc he ignored the warnings

“its your time now jayce” “perhaps its time for the era of magic” - mel to jayce, context is in the quotes HAHA. jayce is screaming no! no! and please! during these lines, i think its just to hammer (pun intended) home on the fact that it all ties back to him for ‘creating’ magic. its on HIM (at least in his own mind) for the destruction of Piltover and all of its people

not to mention the reason hes stuck down there for so long is because his own invention (hextech hammer) disabled him enough to make him unable to climb out for (as far as we know) weeks or even months... more outward projection of self guilt, but like far more literal than symbolic i guess

and as other people mentioned already, it put him in the same position of viktor (down in the depths of zaun having to pull himself up to piltover with the challenges of a disabled leg and illness and no one to support or help him) which allowed him to relate to viktor in a way he never could have before

maybe im just thinking too hard about it idk (im not). or unless this was extremely obvious to the average viewer HAHA. in my defense i spent this whole montage pausing every .6 seconds to take a picture of seggsy and broken and whimpering jayce so i wasnt really paying that much attention to it all AHAHA

anyway do u think this was a hallucination or was it actually the mage standing here with him for a flash lmao

wow this was a fun episode, a bit too fast paced at some points for my liking but still good regardless! reminds me of a bfdia episode in the best ways. i still like tpot 13 the best, but this is definitely a top tier episode

The actual fact that bot is literally fighting their mom is wild, EVEN FAN EXPECTED THEM TO FORGIVE EACH OTHER!!

But after all of this, she really didn’t win anything

if we remove her boyfriend, (yinyang) and bff forever and ever (Bot) she sorta doesn’t win much, which really sucks

after that i wanna try to pick up some writing stuff again, i have a couple of scripts that i actually Want to work on this time but havent had the time, and i wanna go back to potb REAL bad but im on the fence about if i should continue where i left off or start rewriting it because oh my god i want to rewrite so much of this fic now. during the accidental hiatus i reevaluated how i see a lot of the characters and now i feel like ive written a fic ooc enough yet widely-read enough that it'll become That One Fic that so many fandoms have and i would simply never be able to live with myself /j i cant decide if i wanna try to course correct and have a potentially messy ending or restart entirely and deprive everyone of beachdook confession and/or first kiss scene for another 3 years lmfao. vote now on your phones i guess

I took inspiration for Lopu's character and story from the mahou shoujo genre, with the core elements being that a seemingly-average girl discovers she actually has the capability for magical powers, and uses those to help spread hope and save others. Love is a major theme for Lopu, and its what gives her the strength and motivation to do what she does. Lopu grew up in Gridania, where she left and became the Warrior of Light at age 25. She's always had a deep feeling of wanderlust within her, and the events of the MSQ are what kickstart her into being able to get out and see the world. She's lived her life knowing there had to eventually be more out there for her, and her assumptions are proven right as she takes up the title of the WoL and makes herself known. She's no doubt had her ups and downs, but never once has she regret her journey. Others may call her a hero; but even after all this time she still considers herself just an adventurer that likes to help people. In her free time, Lopu has a few hobbies she likes to indulge in! She's very big on cooking and sharing the food she makes, gardening and growing her own ingredients, hunting, training, running Treasure Maps, and of course hanging out with the Scions. Outside of saving the universe, she's a very sweet and humble woman.

anon i’m extremely sorry to disappoint you but sou doesn’t have a first trial. he very literally just slapped a collar on himself, went suspiciously close to shin’s first trial room, and. waited. what can i say. he’s on that grind

buuuuuuut i can tell you more about violet shin! (tysm for asking about him btw he’s my favorite little bleeby)

so i’ve talked a liiiiiiittle about him before, but violet shin is the shadsou equivalent for ytr. i envision that the “opening sequence” of the story would take place as sou is mentally preparing himself for the death game, and vishin (im just gonna call him that for shorthand lmao) would appear to him. i guess i would consider him a hallucination of shin? but he still LOOKS like sou. just ourple

instead of prattling on about majority votes, though, i thought it would be interesting if the topic vishin brought up was the butterfly effect. i only came up with this recently, but i think the butterfly effect thematically fits ytr very well— it shows how one small action can lead to a myriad of different consequences. in this case, i thought ryoko represented the “butterfly;” her small choice of walking sara home ends up massively altering the death game and leading to outcomes that even asunaro couldn’t predict (the “hurricane”).

although i think sou could easily represent the butterfly as well (perks of being the protagonist’s foil, i guess)! i haven’t gotten much into it yet, but one of the big reasons sou chooses to participate in the death game is that he wants to alter shin’s 0.0% win rate (i know i know this is sou “i wish i could’ve killed him with my own hands” hiyori we’re talking about here but he’s a little Different in ytr). so in that way…he’s also trying to use his presence to make waves, so to speak (doesn’t do a very good job at it on the violet route though-)

anyways sorry back to violet shin 😭 i like to think of him as…encouraging the parts sou doesn’t like about himself. unlike shadsou who encourages shin’s self-serving survival instinct, vishin encourages sou’s deeply suppressed self-sacrificial tendencies! (this is also not a good thing) he is very much about doing things for “the greater good,” and this mentality definitely ends up influencing sou in the violet route, where he starts to. weaponize himself (using his own life to try and end the death game)

so yeah! vishin may seem cute and meek, but in reality he can be just as sinister as shadsou, and he’ll say deeply concerning things in the most polite tone possible :)

^ also wait ok i did sort of imply it above but vishin is a more prevalent presence than shadsou. i think shadsou appears 2(?) times in the whole game…but in my Personal Headcanon (which i guess is just canon because this is my au) sou gets really really bad hallucinations in chapter 3 and so vishin shows up a lot more then.
