plus the last one resulted in sleepy kitten coming out, which is Not the one i would’ve picked to write next, but it ended up being one of my favorite fics i’ve written, so i guess i should trust your guys’ judgement a little more often 🙄

hi anon, you chose the wrong person to say this to. please don't fucking come at me with this kind of fucking bullshit. if you didn't read my blog info, which i dont except the average pvv supporter to do (no offense), then you'd know the way i identify! woagh! and you'd ALSO know that i actually don't feel very welcome or safe anymore and that im terrified of the people around me because of the person they voted for. the netherlands did not win, they didn't win anything fucking at all if they're regressing on human rights and electing one of the biggest bigots there are. you say "nederland weer op 1" but you know who funds PVV right? you know he gets his money from russia and isreal, right? you know that he does not care about you, right? and that the regular citizen is nothing to him, right? and you know that after he comes for those from an immigrant background, he will come for the LGBT community. he will come for the disabled. he will come for women's rights. he will come for the rights of everyone except white, rich, old men. he doesn't care about the working class, and he sure as all fuck can't make true on his promises. most of the things he wants goes against our constitution, how fucked up is it that people still voted for that?

he wants to cut off immigration, including those that come here for work. he wants to then increase the size of our healthcare and our healthcare workers. quick question, who is going to work in our healthcare? we are already on a shortage, who's going to pick up what's yet to come?

he wants to build more homes, but who's actually going to build those? like, physically, who is going to put those houses together because, guess what! there's no one to do the fucking work. no one works in ANY of these professions anymore, no one WANTS to work in them either. so he would need to get funding to make schooling free for these professions, or create incentives. but where do we get that money? where would you get a billion to make med school (rough term, not really what the term is here) free for only one year? ah, i hear you say, just pull the funding from ukraine and the developing countries. well, 1.) we can't, we're legally obligated to keep paying, and if he somehow does find a way to stop the funding then 2.) we will be hit with fines from both the EU and the NATO, and maybe even the UN. and guess who will pay that, anon? it will be the working class, since he doesn't want to make companies pay more tax, so it will be you and me that pay for this.

and all that isn't even the massive impact he will have on our climate, and don't try the fucking "netherlands is only a small country, it doesn't matter what we do because the us china and russia and india womp womp" because no matter how small the step is, small steps are worth it, too.

omg i LOVEDDDD orv i read it on my phone in the summer of 2023 when i had nothing else to do and it was genuinely so so good like the novel is PEAK i never read the webcomic version because i’m attached to the translations in the novel even though they’re not “official” but genuinely the novel is probably one of if not THE best things i’ve ever read like it actually changed my brain chemistry fr (it’s a long build but the ending arc is peak fiction)

I took inspiration for Lopu's character and story from the mahou shoujo genre, with the core elements being that a seemingly-average girl discovers she actually has the capability for magical powers, and uses those to help spread hope and save others. Love is a major theme for Lopu, and its what gives her the strength and motivation to do what she does. Lopu grew up in Gridania, where she left and became the Warrior of Light at age 25. She's always had a deep feeling of wanderlust within her, and the events of the MSQ are what kickstart her into being able to get out and see the world. She's lived her life knowing there had to eventually be more out there for her, and her assumptions are proven right as she takes up the title of the WoL and makes herself known. She's no doubt had her ups and downs, but never once has she regret her journey. Others may call her a hero; but even after all this time she still considers herself just an adventurer that likes to help people. In her free time, Lopu has a few hobbies she likes to indulge in! Im not that same anon, but i will say the way you jokingly talk like a taekooker can sometimes be triggering and hurtful to people like me who really love jimin and thought they curated their spaces to jimin focused accounts. Well, that I understand because taekook as a ship used to bother me just as much. It was annoying and sometimes it still is, tho it's become more of a dislike towards them as people rather than the ship itself.

In late 2019, there was some random poll in some irrelevant online magazine (like soompi and stuff) about "which member is the closest to Jungkook?". Jin won. Army voted for Jin and not Jimin, who was without a doubt the closest to Jungkook that year. At that time, things like that also bothered me and made me sad. Now, I guess it's been so long since I got over it and it's a joke. Besides, I understood that most of the information army picked up on was coming from the members themselves, and I couldn't spend a lifetime getting angry about things Taehyung, Jungkook and even Jimin himself weren't going to change.

That vminkook live in November 2021? Watching some parts of it felt terrible. I got over it quick, but at the time I didn't like it. A lot of taekook stuff bothered me, but what is anyone going to do about it lol. And I learned that, and I accepted it. oh yeah. that's just growing as a writer. i dont like, send drafts or anything, but i might ask for votes on an idea, or advice on something that's not working, or just talk through it with them to get there on my own. one of my friends has beta read for other people and another is a writer herself, so they can be a good resource when im having trouble, even if it's just sending a sentence and being like what is WRONG with the grammar here someone fix me LMAO. sometimes you get advice and then immediately realize what you actually want to do and it's not the advice you were given, but if it isn't what you were going to do before you asked someone, that's still helpful! it's not something i do that often because i like to just do my own thing, but it's definitely helpful when i do.

oh, thank you! it's something i have a lot of fun with. it's not something you can really do in any medium BUT fanfiction or like, a reboot, you know? so i really like to play around with it here. It's like, all my fanfictions are dozens of parallel universes revolving around the same characters and concepts, and i like seeing all the ways i can spin those out. i also just really like putting in references to canon. i always love when people pick up on a line i referenced or something.

ohhhhh boy. what ISNT in the scene in LMR lol. I have never had a fic outlined like i did for this one. Like half the conversations came to me while i was lying in bed trying to fall asleep or wake up and i had all of that to work with (and tame) when i went to write.

I started working on it in late december and it's been my "bedtime story" for the most part since then, so a lot of the scenes played out there, which is where Scenes usually originate from. i had a really full outline from that. i had so many scenes that i had to cut and combine some that i really liked because they were just superfluous and would have dragged it down even if they were good on their own. or i had multiple versions of one conversation that i had to pick the best fit between, or when it came time to write it i had to buck the outline even though i liked what i already had because something else was a better match.

basically all of chapter 3 is A Scene. several scenes are in 4 and 5, too. i couldn't really pull just one thing but... god no i was trying to pick one and i cant. chapters 3-5 is my answer lmao. chapter 2 is the only thing i didnt have any Scenes for, that was basically just a hole labeled [insert smut here] while i was planning it, and chapter one was finished so early on that there's not really a Scene there, but nearly everything in chapter 3 onward is a contender for The Scene.

so i’ve talked a liiiiiiittle about him before, but violet shin is the shadsou equivalent for ytr. i envision that the “opening sequence” of the story would take place as sou is mentally preparing himself for the death game, and vishin (im just gonna call him that for shorthand lmao) would appear to him. i guess i would consider him a hallucination of shin? but he still LOOKS like sou. just ourple

instead of prattling on about majority votes, though, i thought it would be interesting if the topic vishin brought up was the butterfly effect. i only came up with this recently, but i think the butterfly effect thematically fits ytr very well— it shows how one small action can lead to a myriad of different consequences. in this case, i thought ryoko represented the “butterfly;” her small choice of walking sara home ends up massively altering the death game and leading to outcomes that even asunaro couldn’t predict (the “hurricane”).

although i think sou could easily represent the butterfly as well (perks of being the protagonist’s foil, i guess)! i haven’t gotten much into it yet, but one of the big reasons sou chooses to participate in the death game is that he wants to alter shin’s 0.0% win rate (i know i know this is sou “i wish i could’ve killed him with my own hands” hiyori we’re talking about here but he’s a little Different in ytr). so in that way…he’s also trying to use his presence to make waves, so to speak (doesn’t do a very good job at it on the violet route though-)

anyways sorry back to violet shin 😭 i like to think of him as…encouraging the parts sou doesn’t like about himself. unlike shadsou who encourages shin’s self-serving survival instinct, vishin encourages sou’s deeply suppressed self-sacrificial tendencies! (this is also not a good thing) he is very much about doing things for “the greater good,” and this mentality definitely ends up influencing sou in the violet route, where he starts to. weaponize himself (using his own life to try and end the death game)

so yeah! vishin may seem cute and meek, but in reality he can be just as sinister as shadsou, and he’ll say deeply concerning things in the most polite tone possible :)

^ also wait ok i did sort of imply it above but vishin is a more prevalent presence than shadsou. i think shadsou appears 2(?) times in the whole game…but in my Personal Headcanon (which i guess is just canon because this is my au) sou gets really really bad hallucinations in chapter 3 and so vishin shows up a lot more then.

the worst part i think is that like. we were back on sunday after a brief hiatus while people played xvi and i. actually felt vaguely optimistic after a while of stewing in being mad and frustrated. we oneshot p9 (after the previous week taking half a lockout on it) and twoshot p10 (again after. spending entire evenings previously trying to rekill the thing). we saw p11 enrage, even if it was a bit frustrating we didnt kill.

and then. reclears yesterday were a shitshow. n pulls to kill p9. two lockouts to kill p10 (though i take, and took, full responsibilty for one of the wipes). then after the instance and we were deciding whether to go for p11 or not, i asked the dnc - who has never liked me, and i neither know nor care why - to pls stop running into me during spread mechanics, he blows up and shouts that im "fucking stupid" and was out of position in the first place (which. if he hadnt moved, and he had no reason to, everyone would have been fine. and moreover if i hadn't been where i was then id have suicide-bombed the main tank. although at least he wouldn't have yelled at me that im fucking stupid i guess! but i digress)

followed by an awkward silence, an awkward rc on p11 which i let time out because i was still trying to process getting my head ripped off, an even more awkward conversation where someone tabled the motion of whether we just wanted to call it quits there altogether bc, you know, the mood has been in the fucking gutter all tier, and one vote later we're disbanded 🙃
