An anti-AA account posted a comment akin to "I'm tired of the fandom being taken over by sex pests who are obsessed with abusive relationships" in response to the AA kisses being optimized for evil route roleplayers. They were implying that we "bullied" Larian into "changing the narrative they created". (which is a whole other rant post on its own lol). And some others agreed.

Is... is this really how they see us? lmao

I am just baffled because so many loud Anti-AA people are:

constantly going on and on about how it's supposed to be an abusive relationship

constantly reminding AA fans of all the abuse AA supposedly does

writing fanfiction and drawing comics showcasing AA as an abusive partner to Tav/Durge

making absolute statements that AA is locked out of healing and only able to treat Tav abusively

making absolute statements that everything good AA says is narcissistic lovebombing and only everything bad he says (after Tav insults him) is to be taken as truth

only ascending him to get AA romance scene screenshots (with an "I hate AA but..." disclaimer usually attached).

thirsting after AA's romance scenes in general while condemning actually playing/enjoying the ending as a whole because... *drum roll* abuse.

brigading Larian on their Discord with messages to "protect their narrative" to drown out AA fans just asking for rp-friendly animations.

AND YET....AA fans--who actively avoid and reject the abuse narrative headcanon and enjoy AA as a whole and not just for the sexiness--are apparently the sex pests, obsessed with abusive relationships. Out of all the AA stories, comics, and things I've consumed from AA fans, none of it ever seems to include the abuse narrative or glorifing him solely for sexual reasons.

Andrew supposes there are worse things he could be. Of course, Neil doesn’t mean it like that. (Oh, how nice it would be if he did.) For a moment, Andrew lets the sentence echo in his skull, not wanting to disturb it. 

‘You’re mine,’ Neil said so casually. When even an ounce of possessiveness on his part makes Andrew’s entire body heat and his heart kick into overdrive. He hopes Neil can’t hear it. If he can, it’s not Andrew’s fault. The stupid idiot doesn’t even know what he’s saying. Doesn’t know how it sounds. Andrew wants to shove him off the roof. He wants to chew a hole through his arm. Instead he swallows. 

“Yours.”

“Mine.” Neil repeats, the word sizzling against Andrew’s warm face. If Neil notices anything off, he says nothing. “Until you die. Maybe longer. Maybe I’ll sneak in after you and keep following you around.”

“You’d follow me into hell, angel? Are you allowed to do that?”

“If that’s where you end up, sure.” Neil shrugs. “Nothing better to do. And it’s where I belong anyway.”

“How do you figure that?” Andrew asks, cocking his head.

“I mean, I’ve killed people. That sort of gets you on the naughty list, right?”

“Close, Neil. But you’re thinking of Santa Claus and not the Almighty. Though I imagine they similar thoughts on murder. Who did you kill?”

“Couple guys,” Neil says casually, shrugging it off. “How about you? Why do you think you’re hell bound?”

Andrew lets out a breath. So many sins to consider. There’s the gay thing, of course. Nicky’s parents made sure to drill that into them. And the 'early' demise of one Tilda Minyard. Plus, he loves lying for fun and doing drugs.

guardians ages?

I have been a bit curious (and in desperate need of some fun facts about these characters) so have some canonical info about these characters ages and the frustrating inconsistencies in some of them (oh inconsistent lore, how I loathe you)

Sophie Bennett - she is 2 years old (rotg script and rotg movie novelization

Jamie Bennett - he is both 8 and 10 years old (the art of rotg and worlds of wonder)

Jack Frost - he is 14, 17, and 18 (and in the books, he can manipulate his age from 11 to 18) (William Joyce, Peter Ramsey, the rotg app, worlds of wonder, guide to the guardians, McDonalds profile card, book five of the Goc series, and William Joyce again)

Katherine - she grows up to be 25, and can manipulate her age from 12 to 25 (book five of the Goc series) she’s also dating Jack (which makes the scene of them arguing and him getting younger and her getting older just. So weird. Why, Joyce, why?)

Sandy - he is the oldest and wisest of the guardians (worlds of wonder, McDonald’s profile card, the art of rotg, and guide to the guardians)

North - in the goc books, he doesn’t know his age (book one in the goc series)

Tooth - younger than the wind but as old as the mountains and her implied age to be closer to whatever Jack is supposed to be (the rotg app, art of rise of the guardians, and the rotg script)
