Lamborghini Squadra Corse, the renowned racing division of Automobili Lamborghini, has revealed its lineup for the highly anticipated 2024 Super Trofeo and GT3 Junior Programs. This year, 28 talented drivers join the Super Trofeo ranks, accompanied by 9 promising drivers in the GT3 category. In the previous season, Ugo de Wilde and Marzio Moretti, Super Trofeo Junior laureates, have transitioned to GT3, competing in prestigious events like the GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup and International GT Open. Die Partner von Porsche Motorsport waren unter anderem mit dem neuen 911 GT3 R beim Saisonauftakt der Blancpain GT Series und der GT World Challenge Asia erfolgreich. Auf der Nürburgring-Nordschleife erreichte das Fahrzeug beim VLN-Saisonauftakt Rang zwei. Der neue Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport bestimmte das Rennen der Pirelli GT4 America Sprint Series in Long Beach und der Porsche 911 RSR fuhr im ersten Rennen der European Le Mans Series (ELMS) 2019 auf das Siegerpodest.

Sensationelles Debüt des neuen Kundenteams Dinamic Motorsport Für eine Sensation sorgte das Porsche-Kundenteam Dinamic Motorsport beim Saisonauftakt der Blancpain GT Series in Monza (Italien). Das italienische Team feierte beim ersten Einsatz des Porsche 911 GT3 R im Blancpain GT Endurance Cup einen Gesamtsieg. Klaus Bachler (Österreich), Andrea Rizzoli (Italien) und Zaid Ashkanani (Kuwait) sicherten sich in einem hart umkämpften Rennen unter schwierigen Bedingungen auf der Hochgeschwindigkeitsstrecke nahe Mailand den ersten Platz. Das zweite Rennen der Langstreckenserie findet am zweiten Maiwochenende in Silver-stone (Großbritannien) statt.

Rennsieg und Tabellenführung für Absolute Racing in Asien Vor den Augen des Königs von Malaysia gelang dem Porsche-Kundenteam Absolute Racing im zweiten Rennen der GT World Challenge Asia ein großer Coup. Der Deutsche Philip Hamprecht (Hagen) und sein Teamkollege Tanart Sathienthirakul (Thailand) übernahmen durch ihren hart erkämpften Triumph die Führung in der Fahrermeisterschaft. Die Kundenmannschaft Absolute Racing steht nach dem Erfolg in Sepang auf Platz eins der Teamwertung. Die nächsten beiden Rennen der GT World Challenge Asia finden 11. und 12. Mai auf dem Chang International Circuit in Thailand statt.

VLN-Saisonauftakt: Porsche 911 GT3 R glänzt auf der Nordschleife Die Porsche-Kundenteams haben die Stärken des neuen 911 GT3 R beim ersten Rennen der Langstreckenmeisterschaft auf dem Nürburgring (VLN) gezeigt. Das für die Saison 2019 neu entwickelte GT3-Fahrzeug erreichte bei der 65. ADAC Westfalenfahrt am 23. März den zweiten Gesamtrang. Den französischen Werksfahrern Frédéric Makowieki und Patrick Pilet fehlten im Porsche 911 GT3 R von Manthey Racing am Ende des Saisonauftaktes nur 5,486 Sekunden zum Sieg. Das zweite Saisonrennen der VLN war aufgrund anhaltender Schneefälle nach nur einer Runde abgebrochen und nicht mehr neu gestartet worden. Den nächsten Nordschleifen-Einsatz hat der Porsche 911 GT3 R am 27. April im dritten Saisonrennen der beliebten Breitensportserie auf dem Nürburgring.

Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport siegt in Long Beach Vor großer Kulisse und auf einer ganz besonderen Strecke feierte das Porsche-Kundenteam TRG einen triumphalen Sieg. Spencer Pumpelly (USA) sicherte sich auf den Straßen der kalifornischen Stadt Long Beach den ersten Platz. Das Rennen fand im Rahmen der IndyCar Series und der IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship statt. Entsprechend viele Zuschauer wurden Zeuge des Start-Ziel-Sieges des blauen GT4-Kundensportlers aus Weissach. Das nächste Rennen der GT4-Meisterschaft findet am letzten Aprilwochenende in Virginia (USA) statt.

O português arrancou do quinto posto, mas reagiu bem às luzes dos semáforos e, ao evitar a confusão da primeira curva, que envolveu um acidente, no final da primeira volta era já quarto classificado.

O piloto oficial da McLaren GT manteve-se encostado aos escapes do terceiro classificado, mas era quase impossível esboçar uma tentativa de ultrapassagem sem qualquer erro do seu adversário, tendo que se cingir a realizar uma perseguição a alta velocidade.

O pódio estava próximo, mas era preciso uma estratégia agressiva para que o McLaren 650S #9 pudesse alcançar o pódio e a K-PAX Racing tomou a iniciativa de antecipar a paragem nas boxes para que Álvaro Parente cedesse o carro a Ben Barnicoat.

A decisão da formação norte-americana funcionou na perfeição e o inglês, após a trocas de pilotos, estava na terceira posição, mantendo um ritmo rápido e consistente que garantiu à dupla luso-britânica a subida ao pódio.

“Arranquei bem e evitei a confusão da primeira curva, o que me permitiu ascender ao quarto posto. Era impossível aproximar-me muito do carro da frente, mas mantive a distância, o que permitiu à equipa adoptar uma estratégia um pouco mais arriscada. No final, correu tudo bem, subimos uma posição e o Ben esteve muito bem no seu turno. Acabámos por garantir mais um pódio que penso ser merecido e um bom resultado”, sublinhou Álvaro Parente.

Com duas subidas ao pódio, fruto de um duo de terceiros lugares, o piloto oficial da McLaren GT faz um balanço positivo da sua passagem por Lime Rock, a quinta etapa do Pirelli World Challenge e terceira da vertente SprintX. “Foi um fim-de-semana difícil, mas conseguimos recuperar posições desde o sétimo posto da qualificação e garantir duas subidas ao pódio. Julgo que são duas boas classificações e que são importantes para a nossa temporada. Agora é preciso continuar o bom trabalho para mantermos os bons resultados”, afirmou Álvaro Parente.

A próxima ronda do Pirelli World Challenge disputa-se em Road America nos próximos dias 23-25 de Junho, mas o piloto oficial da McLaren GT regressa à Blancpain Sprint Cup já no próximo fim-de-semana, tendo como palco o circuito holandês de Zandvoort.

Nissan confirma que Ricardo Sánchez, el primer Atleta NISMO mexicano, seguirá formando parte de su alineación de pilotos, y en esta temporada competirá en el Pirelli World Challenge Championship 2017 a bordo de un Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3.

Sánchez formará parte del equipo Always Evolving/Aim Autosport y tendrá como compañero de equipo a Frankie Montecalvo, joven estrella norteamericana. La primera ronda será en Virginia International Raceway los próximos 29 y 30 de abril.

Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 fue uno de los vehículos más competitivos en la temporada anterior de este campeonato, y Bryan Heitkotter – otro piloto egresado de Nissan GT Academy – ganó un par de carreras en el Utah Motorsports Campus.

Sánchez llegará al campeonato estadounidense después de competir durante dos años en Europa en el Blancpain GT Series.

“Después de competir dos años en Europa, es muy emocionante tener la oportunidad de manejar el Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 en los Estados Unidos,” declaró Sánchez. “Este es un capítulo totalmente nuevo para mí, tengo un nuevo conjunto de circuitos que aprender, pero el Nissan GT-R ha sido realmente muy fuerte en los Estados Unidos y espero con ansias continuar mi carrera automovilística en este país.”

Sánchez se está preparando para su debut norteamericano regresando a sus orígenes en el automovilismo.

“He estado entrenando en la mayoría de los circuitos en el simulador y viendo videos a bordo del vehículo; creo que el GT-R puede ser muy competitivo ahí debido a las curvas rápidas y que en la pista es realmente veloz,” señaló.

“Espero con mucho ánimo hacer este debut, conozco muy bien el vehículo y Frankie conoce los trazados, por lo que creo que haremos una excelente combinación,” agregó.

Montecalvo ha probado el éxito en el Pirelli World Challenge Championship, al ganar el campeonato de la clase GTA en el 2015 con siete victorias. Su currículo también incluye dos participaciones en las 24 Horas de Le Mans, una temporada completa en la Serie Europea de Le Mans en el 2013, y una participación en las 24 Horas de Dubái, donde obtuvo un cierre de segundo lugar.

“Estoy muy emocionado de participar con Always Evolving y AIM Autosport a bordo de un Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 para la Sprint X Series,” declaro Montecalvo.

“Siempre he sido un fan de GT-R, tanto en su versión de competencia como de uso diario, y estoy muy contento de manejarlo este año,” aseguró.

El campeonato SprintX inició el año pasado con un número limitado de carreras. Para el 2017 habrá 10 carreras en el curso de cinco fines de semanas, usando un formato similar el Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup que compitió Sánchez la anterior temporada.
