Idk what y’all do in group chats but my little group chat with @labaguetteisdabest and @iam1withthepeggy is literally just 40% Pinterest pins we find mildly intriguing, 40% of the following phrase “lol” (in any variation) as a response to the pin if we have the energy to check it out, and 20% just fandom things (mostly both of them geeking out about Heartstopper, or me ranting about book theories)

In retrospect if the beatles had a group chat no one would be excluded but Paul and John would constantly be sending things to the chat that were just meant for one another (things that illustrate how intense and powerful but also fun their relationship is) until they just drop all pretense and use the group chat for 100% of their one-on-one communication, exchanging approximately 300 texts a day. At first it's cute but then it starts to feel smug and then performative and then a little desperate, and Ringo would have the sense to mute it and forget about it, but George would stay in the chat for years and read every single message until he finally throws his phone in a river and quits the band. So John and Paul promise to include him more in the group chat, which feels very oblique to the actual problem (something about this isn't normal it's just not) but it's still a concession so he mutes the chat and comes back. Once Paul and John realize they're only talking to each other they text about 1-2 times a week. George assumes they still exchange 300 texts a day and resents it. Paul and John never forgive him for ruining the group chat. I haven't thought about this too much YOU'VE thought about it too much.

Maybe I’m overthinking or maybe I’m to emotional but the suspicion of being ignored in a group chat you’ve had for years hurt everytime I text there’s no reply,overlooked with a simple change of topic. Maybe I did something wrong and they secretly don’t like me anymore,maybe it’s just bad timing and I shouldn’t take it to serious. But now I spend less time in the group chat because I hate the feeling of the awkward silence that comes after my texts. Maybe it’s a case of the friend group choosing one over the other when the eventual breakup of the two happened. Is it just me, my mind playing tricks and in reality everything is perfectly fine

i live in a basement right now and the upstairs folks have a baby who is, i would guess, perhaps 18 to 24 months now. the sound insulation in my place is actually fantastic - when the baby cries i CAN hear it but i have to really try, you know - except when stuff, obviously, directly impacts the floor right above my head.

which is, i think, where baby's playpen is set up. because she is the world's smartest baby maybe, and her favorite thing to do is drop a wooden ball - perhaps bowling ball sized? (guessing) - directly on the ground and listen to it 1. bounce until it stops or 2. roll away. it's her time for dropping things. it's baby drop time. she will do this until she stops and i can do nothing to prevent the baby drop time from occurring.

she does this daily between 6-8pm for something like 20 minutes as well as intermittently throughout the day as she pleases. this is something i comment on to my friends when it happens. you know - it's baby drop time! which means sometimes,
