— school was hell on earth, none of your teachers seemed to empathise with you, your fellow classmates did jothing but make your experience harder, and the workload was overbearing.

— you wanted nothing but to just run away from it all, maybe declare that you were studying abroad then never come back, or even set the school ablaze. no, you’re pretty sure more bad things will come than good.

— you lean over your desk and cushion your head with your arms. a muffled groad escapes your lips and you repeatedly knock your head on your arms.

— “just two more months… just two more months and it will all be over” you reassure yourself for the nth time that day.

— the slight thumps of your head on your arms was enough to call your lover into the room. he looks at you as you bring your arms around your head tighter with a feather like gaze.

— he approaches you and takes your hand with a grasp that was just as light and gentle as his gaze prior. “my dove,” he begins, as soft eyes meet distressed, “everything’s gonna be alright” he reassures you

— “kazu…” you whisper his name, barely audible to anyone but him, before you fall into his arms and let go all that has been occupying yiur mind for the last 3 months.

— kazuha said nothing but held you tighter, smoothing down your hair before placing a chaste kiss. a silent reassurance that he would be there to do the very same anytime you so desire.

WANDERER

— “is she sick in the head? does she take me for a fool?” you complain to your boyfriend about your shitty co-workers. “they do nothing but wring me for all im worth! i don’t think that this pay is worth the stress.”

— queen is silent as he listens to you rant about your cruddy work life. you pace around the livivng room of your house, your hands flailing around and feet stomping as you tell him about how much you hate your job.

— “then leave?” queen says, as if it was a matter of fact. “i wish it was that easy, kuni.” you sigh before finally sitting down beside him and resting your head on his lap.

— “like you said, its not worth the stress. who knows what you would do if you snapped? its better to at least try and resign before they fire you” you stop to think about what queen just said, he was definitely right, but this wasn’t a situation you could just simply walk away from.

— you curl up to your boyfriend, snuggling deeper into his stomach as you groan into his shirt. the former wanderer sighed as he pat your head in reassurance.

— in another life, he would of taken care of all those who stood against you ages ago. but, times have changed, he has changed. so the best he could do is provide a place of comfort, a sturdy backbone for you to fall on when needs be.

major gods and religions?

The major gods of my main roleplaying world are:

Akteros: god of trials and rewards. known for being "the god that puts people on quests."

Ankos: god of survival.

Drageon: god of dragons, luck, and trade. it is unclear whether this drageon is the same entity as the Creator of the same name.

Eregain: god of death. seen as neither evil nor good- simply a part of mortality.

Groad: god of stubbornness. this doesn't seem like that divine of a domain, but devout followers of groad can stubbornly resist anything- even death.

Karapatra: god of growth and life.

Mirin: god of childishness, both the curiosity and the wonder of children. seen as a protector god for children. oddly enough, Mirin and Groad have some kind of connection- misfortune falls on effigies that include one god but not the other.

Paenkeros: god of magic.

Pasos: god of tricks.

Oddly enough, these gods are found together in most worlds created by Paragon, albeit in different intensities depending on the world.

The Book of Job Chapter 3

Job's First Speech

Damn, this is dark. One of my favorite reviews of She Nailed a Stake Through His Head called me a philopher who swears a lot. Accurate. So I hope you forgive me when I go Holy Fucking Shit, Job is a morbid fuck.

I mean, sure sure, I wish I had never been born and curse the day that gave birth to me. That's pretty standard goth teenager poetry. And if you ever want to be a smartass you can use select quotes from this speech against pro-lifers since it's basically saying that life sucks and that it's better to never be born (sure it's out of context, but who ever quotes the Bible in context?)

But damn, he goes on about how the day should be cursed with no light and dead stars and no one holding back the Leviathan because it dared to let him get born.

And then we get a whole paragraph about how nice death is. Slaves and prisoners are freed from death. And Job outright has a problem with God letting people live on when they only can suffer (EUTHANASIA is Bible!!!! Wohoo. Fuck off priests).

And then we get to him being a little less bathic in the end with "my groading serves as my bread, my roaring pours forth as water" (I'm sure the Aramaic is much better. JPS isn't really that great at the art of biblical poetry).

Next chapter (in a week or two) we get Eliphaz's rebuttal. Yes, a rebuttal because that's a great way to treat a friend who is cursing the day he was born.
