It's very rare that people decide they want to disrespect him, but it happens. And before Grim Reaper!Stone could tell them off himself, Guard Dog!Reader interjected, telling them off for him.

Grim Reaper!Stone would be so confused because usually everyone is wary of him. Before you, no one defended him. They all thought he didn't need protection and he kind of didn't, but that didn't mean he didn't appreciate it.

Honestly, with the way he grew up, being protected by someone isn't something he knows. He always thought no one would protect him, no one wanted to protect him. He just thought protection and love was out of his reach, something he was only meant to see others get.

But you defend him constantly, throwing verbal assaults on those who decide to try and pick on him for being a mindless soldier, sometimes even fighting them. You're in his corner, willing to have his back, and that means a lot considering he's very paranoid.

Knowing that you want to protect him makes him want to melt.

Hey, sorry if someone already ask this but, I am curious about what happen to child nightmare or passive. Since dadmare seem to be teleported to the past... Then does that mean passive just mysteriously dissapear and gone forever or he just also got transported to the future with grown up dream? (｀・ω・´)

Ohoh, I didn't answer this, did I? I think I tried to keep it vague, but because the decision was changed (talked extensively with my beta and then missed him really badly,) I should let you guys know he will show up later. It would be cute if he went to the future (I already thought of an AU for it haha) but that is not what I intend on happening.

In summary: He is still in the same world as Dadmare and Sunbeam and will be later referred to as Moonbeam. He will be found. Development is to follow. (chime noise) Thanks for your patience. Don't want to reveal spoilers.

They could only cry out as they watched the grey beast unconsciously lay wedged in a mass of phantoms. Ortho's shoulder bubbled with blot and tortured souls. Yuu continued to race down to where the phantom was careening, back towards the Underworld.

"GRIM! MI HIJO!"

They had to save him. Save their son. The prospect of losing Grim had finally placed the last piece in the puzzle of what he was to Yuu. All they'd been through, the ups and downs, were just part of raising a child. Raising the greatest mage ever. And he can't be that if he's dead, they thought.

Their racing contemplation almost made Yuu miss the sight of Vil also racing down the stairs. In a few steps, he'd caught up to, paced and passed them. He'd become a flash of violet speeding for the Gates. His step never faltered, even as he dove out and slid to the ledge. A haze of green made seeing anything horribly difficult, but as Yuu reached the bottom, something grey and blue soared up back out of the gate. They reached out to snatch the bundle of fur from the air, and immediately clutched Grim close. Something haggard rose up from the green fog, but Yuu could only focus on the ragged breathing from their son.

"H-he's choking!" Yuu stammered. They pat and massaged with a nervous gentleness. Tears began to prick their eyes at the prospect that through all of that, they might still lose him. The tears soon turned to sobs of relief to hear Grim heave and finally retch something small and metallic.

hey uh idk if this is weird but I saw you posted about the ratmeat fanfic titled "Ribs" and i just wanted to say I'M THE AUTHOR OF THE FIC AAAAAA. I never thought I'd see my fanfic being recommended to others (esp that one since I was a lil self-conscious about it, I'm not really the best romance writer) and I'm just. askskdjf. just so excited and happy. “Leave her to me.” Ruggie said quietly as he grabbed the small baby from Daisy’s arms. Magnolia, Maggie as they affectionately nicknamed her, has not stopped crying for a while now, and Daisy just wanted her to sleep.

“No, love, it's ok, I can handle it–"

“Please. You look like a zombie.” Ruggie chuckled as Daisy frowned. “Go to our room and take a nap, I’ll make sure to put Maggie to sleep.”

After that, Maggie started sobbing even more, her little arms clearly pointing towards her mother and Daisy laughed.

“Are you sure?”

“I'm her father, aren't I?” He frowned at Daisy, slightly offended. “Go rest, we’ll have daddy-daughter time.”

Daisy smiled and got up, giving her husband a quick kiss on the lips, and then a kiss to Maggie’s forehead. The hyena baby smiled.

“Alright then. If you need me–"

“I know where to find you.”

With that, Daisy walked towards their room in the small house, not even bothering to turn on the lights as she threw herself in bed. She was so very tired. She knew motherhood was hard work but she didn't realize how much hard work it was… she has not even been able to sleep in the past few weeks. She could not wait until Maggie was a bit older, this way they—

Daisy felt something soft pushing her arm upwards and forcing it to rest on it, as it curled up beside her. When she opened her eyes, her face was met with the person who's been her best friend ever since she was first brought into this world, someone who, in retrospect, was a good training for Daisy before she married and had a kid.

Grim.

She forgot he was visiting her… oops.

“Grimmy, i’m tired. I can't give you attention now…” she mumbled, but her cat-like friend just got even closer to her, using his little paw to pat her cheek.

“Yeah, yeah. As long as we can cuddle like back at Ramshackle.”

Daisy smiled and hugged Grim, he complained at first but let himself melt into her hug as he nuzzled his face in her neck, starting to purr.

“Sorry Grimmy. I love you.”

“You’ll have to make up for it once you're able to stay awake tho.” He said and Daisy laughed. “Love ya too, hench-human.”

how would stone and his variants react to reader cheating on them?

Canon!Stone would be extremely hurt, he trusted you. And you cheated on him. He'd break up with you and probably wouldn't date someone else for a long time. Same goes for Girl Dad!Stone.

Grim Reaper!Stone thinks it's the ultimate betrayal. You made him consider himself as an actual person and not the weapon he thought he was and then you went and cheated on him. How could he have meaning and value if you threw his love away like it was a toy? So he closes himself back up, because if all he was to you was a toy, then surely that's all he ever will be.

Criminal!Stone wouldn't know what to do. He's hurt, but you're his mafia boss, his self-proclaimed deity. He can't just abandon you. So he attempts to brush it off, your importance is bigger than his and thus you should be allowed to cheat and hurt him. He's so down bad for you that he'll excuse it all. As long as he has the privilege of being in your presence.

Baker!Stone is hurt and will lick his wounds for months later, but he will hold firm and cut you out of his life. You want to throw away your guys' relationship? Fine with him, he has had therapy and he knows a healthy relationship. And he strives for one, so if you can't give it to him, he'll move onto someone else.

Feral!Stone is absolutely enraged by this because he's an arrogant piece of shit. What do you mean you cheated on him? No, no, that won't do. He's biting you and he might just kill you.

Serial Killer!Stone just becomes cold with you. You better hope you never commit a crime he finds egregious, because his love for you is tainted and if you commit an egregious crime, he'll hunt you down even with all of your romantic history.

Experiment!Stone's reaction is a lot like Grim Reaper!Stone's, in that he just closes himself off again. He thought he wasn't a monster, you taught him that he wasn't a monster. But clearly he was if you felt the need to cheat on him.

Vampire!Stone just scoffs because he'll hopefully be alive for such a long time and time does eventually heal emotional wounds. He tells himself that one day, he won't even remember you, much less the pain you brought him. So it's best he starts thinking of you as his past now.

Werewolf!Stone doesn't understand what he did wrong. Werewolves are meant to be family-oriented. He thought he'd expand his pack with you, grow old with you. And now everything's upside down. He's confused on how to feel.

I swear I am extremely fascinated by and genuinely interested to understand what prompts this fairly spread perception of smart Akutagawa because I really can't see it.

Akutagawa is THE flawed character of the franchise. He has barely any redeemeing qualities. His being a ruthless, mindless dog, a beast, an animal is a central theme of his character: he's one of the most inhuman characters, no rationality, no emotions. It only makes sense he'd also be lacking in intellect, one of the most intrinsically human qualities, right? Let's also keep in mind that when it comes to intelligence, he was specifically trained since a very early age so that he wouldn't develop any critical thinking skill or wisdom. He was appositely built to be an executor, never a thinker. A killing machine, a mindless beast. He was made to be a tool, not a person. He is the very epitome of irrationality- and that much shows in everything he does! There's plenty canon evidence to support it. His actions are never guided by preliminary thoughts, he just acts on instinct, akin to an animal. He will kill his target in chapter 4 although his mission is specifically not to, he will barge into a building full of security guards right through the front door without even ordering his subordinates to offer support, he will go rogue and storm into the Moby Dick destroying everything in his path no matter the consequences, he will naïvely jump off a balcony to catch a repetitor just because his worst enemy said it had Dazai-san on the line- do I have to continue? His whole character is exclusively driven either by orders, or by instinct and irrationality. Guys, it would have been SO MUCH EASIER if upon seeing Ranpo's message Akutagawa had just took out his phone and gone “hey Chuuya-san, it's likely we've found the mastermind and the whole thing will be solved here at this place, can you come over one second?”. But he didn't, and it's not simply a matter of suspension of disbelief (in the way that the events are more satisfying this way). Was it for his pride then? Indeed, but Akutagawa's pride and irrationality are in a perpetual concomitant relationship of cause and effect, where one is constantly born from the other. I do think his very simple and straight-forward objectives (1. kill the Jinko 2. be acknowledge by Dazai-san 3. die) are themselves expression of his simple mindset, and so is a certain naïvety he has, that I honestly wish more people took into account when characterizing him.

It's funny because, the thematic relevance of it is the whole point- in reality, I don't think there's such a thing as a stupid person, I firmly believe everyone has their own kind of intelligence, a field each of us excells in. But it's exactly because Akutagawa isn't a person (well. in this context at least), but a character, that one can push a characteristic to its extremes in order to make it symbolic of something, in order to make an archetype out of his character. And Akutagawa at his core is irrationality, he is Dazai's failed trainee and ugliest foil, he is the ultimate pawn, he is the beast. The fact that Akutagawa is a character– it's relevant. He's not a person, he's a vassel for themes. I can dare to rudely talk about him like he was an animal because it's the narrative itself that before anyone else pushes the reader to see him in a dehumanizing way. Akutagawa once literally tore the skin off a man's neck with his teeth effectively killing them. It's quite not simple dog coding anymore lol. But he's just a dude from a book really, he's just symbolism: and that's why he can become a dog, or a pawn, or the stupidest person of Yokohama, as the author or reader pleases. It's really not that deep ahah

I can guess a possible counterpoint would be that perhaps, in a universe where he wasn't subject to the slums and Dazai's abuse such as high schools aus, Akutagawa would get his chance to be witty? But then I can't help but think, if you don't make Akutagawa stupid... Aren't you taking a fundamental trait of his character away from him? What's left of Akutagawa then? What would be the point of reading, let's say, a sskk high school fic if you can't recognize Akutagawa in it? But then again I guess this is exactly the reason why I can't bring myself to like most of alternative universe bsd fics (╥﹏╥)

Also, ultimately, there *are* personal preference components to it. In my headcanon Akutagawa has autism / adhd, and although those don't always have a negative impact on one's academic results, there is a chance they do. And I'd honestly lean towards that chance more when it comes with Akutagawa, because he is the pathetic man that has everything going wrong for him. There's symptoms in his impulsivity and scarce self-control, and I believe they'd make school life very hard for him, especially when it comes to focusing in classes and for studying- which is fitting tbh, can you imagine Akutagawa ever having a happy life? (I'm jk I swear I love him)

Besides, I must have mentioned how one of the main appeals of sskk for me is how despite being thoroughly flawed people they can still be loved. It's surprisingly comforting to think that even the most evil of people can be loved, and it's the same when it comes for stupidity. Stretching Akutagawa's flaws just makes him more symphatetic and enjoyable to read about.
