Okay I've decided to change my mind a little and be merciful because I realized you wouldn't be able to kiss Felix either. Poor man's allosexual and I'm not always cruel to my muses lmfao. Anyway, extending the fact that Felix can contain the taint in him to himself, he's able to do so to where he can't actually infect people unless he actively decides to do so or is sufficiently incapacitated. Sleep doesn't count because he's a mage technically speaking, so it would be something like his mind being taken over by a more powerful blighted creature, or him being knocked unconscious. Basically, anything that makes him lose control of himself.

Because unlike traditional magic, Felix is actually okay at using blight magic. However, he really doesn't like it, and will usually only do so to defend himself. If you persist beyond the point of defensive maneuvers, he will blight you and speed it up and only feel a little bad about it.

On a similar note, because he keeps the blight in himself contained, he's not horribly twisted like most other darkspawn. He still has his hair and most of humanity, but his skin is pale like he's close to death, and his veins have that signature black look. It's more visible in some places than others. Unfortunately, his eyes do look like inkwells tho between the black sclera and his dark brown irises. So you really can't avoid the idea of what he is or what's wrong.

So little thing that would've been appropriate for Sunday had I thought to post it at the time, the fact that it's known that darkspawn blood "and other fluids" will corrupt a person is uh..... A little bit tragic in a way, bc you've got Felix, who is great partner material ( great person, willing to tell you when you're wrong, sensitive, good listener ) but on the other hand.....

You can't fuck him. Don't get me wrong, he'd let you under different circumstances, but doing so would mean you have a pretty good chance of getting blight sickness. Granted, a warden could probably manage if they could see past the whole darkspawn thing but. Still. (redacted.)

It's just lucky that he can't blight places or people just by being around them long enough specifically bc he's gone through a sort of joining of his own after he changed. ( I think were he not a trained mage before, though, he wouldn't understand the blight magic enough to be able to contain his taint within his own body. ) Thankfully, that also means he's not beholden to the call of the old gods and has a mind of his own instead of being part of the hive. He can still hear all of it, though, and to a degree, control packs of darkspawn until their numbers are too great.

One of the first things he'd tell Rook so it's not an on-sight fight, is that he's Dorian's friend and would like to help how he can -- bc mind, you won't meet him until you meet Dorian at the earliest. And ofc the level of which he helps depends on Rook. He may just give you information when you ask for it, or he may be an advisor of sorts that stays in the lighthouse with you. Or he might just go back into hiding if you turn him down.
