best father in warriors, our man Gray Wing I,,, I love him so much <3 him and River Ripple,, my heart just cannot Dotc is my second favorite arc, mostly for the characters, but also it was just refreshing to read, seeing the clans from their roots and getting to enjoy some good old fashion conflict without a dominating mystical presence. We see spirits for the first time, but they don't take the reigns of the whole story. Don't get me wrong. I love our superpower havin' cats and the mystical worldbuilding of warriors, but I live for Into the Wild vibes where things just felt more...down to earth? Cats just tryin' to survive and make their homes, and dealing with the hardships of the wilderness and building (or losing) relationships. honestly, Gray dying from asthma, which he suffered from during most of the story when things were just going well for him, is so tragic yet so real. #my art #saw his main accent color was gold and went ‘I can Use Thise’#bayverse transformers #transformers #starscream #bayverse starscream #realized the little things on the back of his legs could be misconstrued as spurs #and of course I’m designing based off of silhouette and occasionally actual detail so #Of Course I had to use that :)#will eventually redesign this into bay-1 version me thinks #it’s kinda already halfway there with the monotone grey red and blue #this was just a quick whip up tbh #if I had to go further I’d add the metal shading I did for shockwave and soundwave on the other post #along with deepening the colors #and also make the actual body of starscream more visually distinct from his giant upside down wings #ngl the wings do a lot of the heavy lifting in the dorito shape #mostly bc it was weird to draw starscream without giving him a slutty waist #it’s one of his core design elements in every other version #couldn’t just chuck that out #also hope yknow-fuck enjoys my side comments #bc I’m right #might tone down the gold next go around at this tbh #happy with it nonetheless

#I updated his design slightly by changing his skin to blue (it was reddish/orangeish before) so now it has more contrast against his scales #I'm trying to simplify his fur to be more fursuit friendly so it doesn't have all the gradients and blending it usually does.#I narrowed the main fur down to mid grey light grey and nearly white grey. for the ears I think I could maybe dip dye them for a gradient?#the wing design isn't final I'm still working on them #also today I learned that rabbits don't have paw pads. they have fur on the underside of their paws. which is useful to know!#furry #furry art #fursona #dragon #bunny #rabbit

The cute lads have wedged their way back to the forefront of my mind haha #I'm honestly really glad I kept all my Webkinz plush over time and they've survived all the moves and whatnot #Some are still missing - most notably my horses for some reason - but I have the rest onhand and they're still cute and soft and I love them #Getting the opportunity to name and play with them as a young'un made them stick quite strongly in my mind ♪#And I still find some of my design sensibilities with their roots in the gameplay/game design/UI design/interactivity #I think it inspired some of my Video Game Design brain which is an aspect of myself I'm quite happy with :D #And I /love/ plushies probably now more than ever <3 So I'm doubly glad younger me didn't get rid of them haha #Got my lineup that featured in Tala's Requestober this year ♥ I left out a couple for what are probably obvious reasons ahem ahem #If you haven't seen what the Official design of the clownfish is in Webkinz... Lol I don't know why they're so inconsistent #It's not like the differences between Signature and Classic! Most of the fish are Classic or eStore! I unfortunately lost the account with Baaby so I had to start over again but that's alright #This time I've got Embroidery and she's in a closet cosplay of Edgar haha - black-and-grey striped shirt with dark pants and round glasses #And angel wings! working out some stuff for my rewrites’s version of the founding cats of the clans/colonies- bear in mind, I’ve never finished the DOTC series, so I’m going off of wiki info, bare minimum memory, and made up stuff.

The tribe cats are no longer domesticated cats, instead, they are now a species in between Eurasian Lynxes and European Wildcats. The cats they meet after they leave the mountains are still domesticated cats. (In modern day, clan cats are not domesticated cats, having some features of their Eurasian lynx/wildcat ancestors, and are more of another made up subspecies mix breed thing, which I may write about later)

I’ve doodled up Clear Sky, Grey Wing (or Grey Sky here), Tall Shadow, Wind Runner, and Gorse Fur here, and the second image shows the outline of the original clan leaders’ star-like markings. I’ll probably draw some more eventually yippie!
