barbie is the ultimate cinema experience for me and will continue to be for years i believe. you can already get the atmosphere just being outside of the cinema, you go in there and switch between crying and laughing multiple times while also feeling the entire audience do the same, and as the ending approaches you emotionally settle down only for the final line to punch you in the face in the most hilarious yet most relatable way possible. i love it so, so much.
#no joke i remember going 'oh so this is the ending. it's been so nice i love it. i wonder what kinda job she's going to ge—#but it's not a job interview lmaooooo it's a more adult woman experience than thattttt#i walked out of there calling greta gerwig a genius#barbie#also being slapped left and right by all the unexpected references was so much fun#(the last piece of information i didn't know i'd need was snyder's justice league and i only recently gained that#bc maws pushed the person who knew nothing about dc heroes that i was down a rabbit hole and i read up wikipedia pages)#and i was kinda hoping to not have to sit with a lot of people bc i'm tired of their phones and their loud talking#but the one i went to there were quite a number of people yet it was pleasant. everyone was focused and no one was talking#it's a film that has your attention the entire time. it's so good#god i love it so much

The ghouls music taste - HC
I think Ozzy Osbourne, Kiss, Lana Del Rey and David Bowie is pack favorites, like that’s what they’re gonna play on full volume in the car
Rain
Rain is definitely an alternative rock girlie, he loves Muse and you can’t change my mind on that. His favorite Muse song is definitely micro cuts or spiral static. He just loves all their guitar sounding vocals, those old emo vibes songs and basically everything about them. His favorite album is probably Origin of symmetry and Showbiz. And he likes MCR and Suizid, cus like, he’s emo
Dew
He’s a Mike’s dead fan by heart, he knows every single word of every single song, like hell blast Bite down on full volume and scream the lyrics, it just makes him feel better. And he’s Aether’s Rob zombie friend (every Alice cooper fan needs a rob zombie fan and the other way around) And he’s a sabaton fan cus he’s a little nerdy about history.
Swiss
Swiss’s motto is: “the older, the better” and: “anything after 1999 sucks” He likes the old country rock like, Eagles. He also likes Santana, like c’mon, Santana is a guitar genius. There’s always some chill music coming from his room. Oh, and he listens to Paleface Swiss unironically (even though they are a new band)
Mountain
He’s a bit like Swiss but he’s not against new music (most of the time) but the song James Dean by Eagles always hits hard. He listens to the strokes and thin lizzy in the green house, but if he’s not with his plants he likes to listen to techno metal, or any type if metal, really, his favorite song is Undead by Hypnosaur.
Aether
Dad music. Alice Cooper, Iron Maiden, and his alltime favorite Meatloaf. He vibes with almost everything tho, hell vibe with Rains high pitched emo screaming, Dews angsty rap/rock but especially Rob zombie, Swiss’s old country rock, Mountains techno metal and chill oldies, and on like so. He doesn’t listen to music that much but if the others are playing music he won’t ask them to turn it down, he’ll vibe with them
Phantom
Phantom’s favorite song will always be Bat out of hell by Meatloaf. He also likes Muse, but not like Rain, he likes their new stuff better like Simulation theory and the 2:nd law, he’s emo but not that emo. He definitely likes Nickleback, Yungblud, Bring me the horizon and Bad religion. His favorite songs are Anesthesia by Bad religion and Fire escape by Call me karizma. He has a kinda love/hate relationship with Map of the problematique by Muse because he listened to it religiously when he was summoned and now he can’t help but cry when he hears it.
Cumulus
Elton John, Dire states and Greta van fleet. She loves crocodile rock by Elton John and it always makes her laugh when she watches him perform it on The muppet show. But like Aether she’ll vibe with pretty much anything
Cirrus
Cirrus likes the vibe of kinda dark doom metal/rock. She loves bands like The ocean and Soen and their song Hollowed. She’s a sabaton fan because they are super cool too and she’ll occasionally enjoy some good old Rammstein or The cure
Aurora
She likes a lot of different music, and if you put her playlist on shuffle, someone will end up with a whiplash injury. She’s a Louis Tomlinson fan, her favorite song is Angels fly and she loves five finger death punch. She’s Phantom’s Machine Gun Kelly friend (every Yungblud fan needs to have a MGK friend) chances are high that you’ll find her with Phantom jaming out to bodybag or acting like that by MGK and Yungblud
Copia
He is definitely a måneskin fan and his rats are named after them. I think he likes old bands like whitesnake and Lynyrd Skynyrd but his altime favorite song will forever be Brother Louie by Modern talking
#the band ghost#phantom ghoul#dewdrop ghoul#swiss ghoul#rain ghoul#mountain ghoul#aether ghoul#cirrus ghoulette#cumulus ghoulette#aurora ghoulette#copia#hc

I think that telling people you have a boarding school werewolf polycule and sharing nothing else about them constitutes a federal crime. If you check. If you cared.
asfhdgfgsj okay sorry in advance for the long post but. they're my homemade red/blue and pink/purple gays,, here's some quick scribbles
they're very very self-indulgent and based off of both a bunch of my favorite yuri manga tropes & archetypes (sometimes i call them anokiss with werewolves) and also,, songs. ofc
Nat, the pink one, is human and she's the popular girl/Girl Who Knows A Little Too Much and is based mostly on Undone by Greta Isaac
Misty, the purple one, is a werewolf who does not hide it whatsoever and somehow no one suspects it & is the jock/cheerful rascal with a heart of gold kinda type. based mostly on Coexist by Wild Party
Timber, the red one, is a werewolf who tries really hard to hide it & is the Overworked Overachiever/shy awkward protag type. based mostly on Saccharine by Jazmin Bean
Dani, the blue one, is human and they're the Carefree Genius/unintentional prince type and is based mostly on Jason by BONNIE PARKER
everything takes place in another fav trope, the mysterious slightly nonsensical boarding school full of shameless gay activity, and uses what i remember of Wolves Of Mercy Falls rules where the werewolves are just. Living As Normal Ass Wolves for a few months every year (starts at first snowfall and they don't turn back until spring)
Nat and Misty are the school's Intimidating Semi-Delinquent Power Couple but really they're just goofballs off doing their own thing/trying their best to deal with the various Problems that arise w having a werewolf gf.
Timber and Dani are roommates (oh my god they were roommates) and have a horrid will-they won't-they, hardcore pining + never saying anything, category 5 Situationship going on bc neither of them have the balls to ask the other out. they Also have a whole ordeal happening with Timber trying (and failing) to hide the lycanthropy from Dani which ultimately culminates in Dani witnessing Timber wolfing out first hand (a wee bit traumatizing for both parties) and then just having to sit around going ''hey. what the Fuck'' all winter until Timber comes back <3 they yearn and pine and suffer your honor <3
Eventually they all cross paths due to the aforementioned Werewolf Problems and become a big messy wonderful stupid semi-unofficial polycule that effortlessly and painfully blends the lines between romantic&platonic until it becomes a secret third thing. bc i said so <3
also here are some older bonus doodles of Timber&Misty as wolves bc i love them + random old alignment chart for Extra Flavor
thanks for coming to my tedtalk
#sorry i am just foaming at the mouth super normally over the opportunity to yak about my ocs lol. thank u ^^#nova scribbles#timber + dani tag

hiiii omg i saw ur a film nerd in ur about me post and so am i !! whats ur favourite movie/s :P
hello!!! and yes omg i always LOVE answering this question lmao so first and foremost:
my letterboxd top 4 <3 !
( explanations and honorable mentions under the cut ! )
1. little women (2019)
watched it with three of my best friends when it first was in theaters so that definitely added to the message and experience watching it. i love how greta gerwig directed the sister dynamic. she’s gone on record on interviews and also if you can find the screenplay itself that in the script the actors’ lines were written on top of one another to reflect the spontaneity and chaos of sisterhood and family through the film’s dialogue. so genius?!?! this adaptation just felt so real and genuine and i also see a little of myself in all the sisters 🫶
2. challengers
UGH i did like a whole deep dive here but in short: luca guadagnino you absolute mastermind. i love tennis, i love colorgraded film and photography, i love hot people!!!! story was insane, i quite literally had to sit in my car for like half an hour just processing when i got out the movie house before i felt normal enough to drive home lol.
3. emma (2020)
again i did a thorough tedtalk on this one. but i’m a big jane austen fan!!! and the aesthetics and score on this adaptation were just off the charts and so so lovely. love the regency era and i think they translated it to screen in a very appealing and classic (although maybe not entirely historical but hey it’s art) way. i’ll always come back to it as my comfort movie ngl.
4. call me by your name
amazing story. (not a love story mind you!!!) which is actually why it stuck with me sm bc i went in with my hopeless romantic self just to be fuckin crushed. watched it two summers ago and it took me like weeks to recover, it broke my heart in a way that felt so good. also just a downright beautiful film all around (colorgrade, cinematography, acting, music, everything!!). in guadagnino we trust!!!
honorable mentions:
watching the detectives (!!!)
lucy liu and cillian murphy? ummm FUCK YES? my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE in the romcom genre to date. they just match each other’s freak. and the whole movie is abt being film nerdy and awkward and weird and manic pixie dream girl and like lowk…. so ro-core fr!
shape of water
ok don’t call me a freak, it was pretty interesting— from the aesthetics, to the minimal dialogue, to the overall story. it’s a doozy but imo that shit was art. (or guillermo del toro was the real freak all along)
spirited away
my fav ghibli film bc it’s just so haunting in a way none of the other ghibli films are and i like that. like the way some of those characters were drawn was lowk gross—but i find that kinda gnarly. so over the top fantastical it makes my brain tingle in a certain way.
isle of dogs
my fav wes anderson film in both stop motion or live action (my fav live action of his was the most recent asteroid city tho!). truly art and has such a heartwarming story but at the same time the DRAMA. my lord. crazy how captivating the story was even if half of it was in largely unsubtitled japanese—unique choice but i actually liked what it added to the movie a lot especially considering the movie’s pov from an english-speaking dog. i’m actually a big cat person but i finished that movie so convinced that fuck yeah that dog is man’s bsf right there
the amazing spiderman movies
andrew garfield’s spiderman is my fav <3 but also i love the darker feel to this version of spiderman. maybe it’s bc i’m also a big batman/dc fan (sorry my marvel babes </3) and generally those movies have been handled with a more dark tone. but nonetheless andrew garfield is hot too so that’s a plus!
cruella
i’m lowk a disney hater but this movie was SO. CUNTY. fuck i loved it. the actors were amazing and the visuals and the FASHION were just mwah, especially compared to other disney live action films (😭).
maleficent & maleficent: mistress of evil
AGAIN, SO FUCKING CUNTY even if i’m a reluctant disney enjoyer. i watched the first installment when i was real young but in 3d at the movie house. SO COOL. watched the second one with my mom at home. IMMEDIATELY WATCHED IT AGAIN. angelina jolie is maleficent, n i love how these movies characterize the villain in such a genuinely human way i don’t think anyone could’ve seen coming when these babies first came out.
ok thats it finally 💋
#🍡 𝗮𝘀𝗸𝗯𝗼𝘅#🪴 𝗿𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 !#🍃 𝗿𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗺 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂#this is probably more than you were expecting 😭#but if you want like my immediate recs#it’s my top 4 <3

No my friend, it’s not an accident; you’re just proving the point of my post. Yes, she is a genius. An unoriginal one, but a genius, nonetheless. <— That there? The point.
I didn’t miss the point of the creator scene either: you’re just reiterating what I actually said. “Free will” isn’t what Gerwig is claiming it is.
We’re made for love. We don’t get to opt out of that any more than a Lego can spontaneously turn itself into a dolphin. No matter how “free” you claim your will is, you can’t will yourself into a different purpose. You can’t escape loving something. Try it and see. You can pretend for a while, but you’ll always be loving something. Unlike Barbie, you can’t make yourself something different just by willing it to be so. That’s Greta’s lie—or, well, the one she borrowed from Satan. 🤷♀️
Your Creator made you to love Him and be loved by Him. But He gave you the ability to choose not to love Him and be loved by Him—you can opt to love yourself, instead. But uh…yeah, tough luck, you’re still loving something and being loved by something in that scenario, sooo, I guess you kinda can’t do completely and totally anything you want. 🤷♀️
That’s the worst part. We’ll say, “no thanks, God, what do I need You to love me for: I’ll love myself!” And it won’t be “living.” It’ll be “trying and failing and misery.” Because we can’t do it. We were made for an infinite and unfathomable Creator’s perfect love to fill us up. And we settle for our own finite, shabby, easily-forgotten self-love. Like playing in a mud puddle when there’s a whole ocean just over the next hill.
So your friend Greta Gerwig and the guy she stole her unoriginal message from, Satan, tell you “you have free will to be whatever you want to be, and it’ll satisfy you because that’s living, baby!” And it’s a lie. You’re not Barbie. You can’t magically make yourself a human instead of a doll. You can’t magically make yourself a creature that is not suited for God’s love—you can only reject that and twist around into a self-lover—still a lover, just a more broken one. 🤷♀️
And then the second part of the lie, “it’ll satisfy you because that’s living,” isn’t true either. You won’t get satisfaction or life from “self love,” because it’s not the real thing. You’ll get misery and death. You can pretend for a while. Heck, you can spend your whole life trying new ways and ideologies to self-love. But in the end, you get death.
Yeah, Christians “like” free will. We just know what it actually means in the context of reality.
Greta Gerwig is saying you can be like Barbie, going from being a doll to being a human with genitalia and working tear ducts—that’s how powerful your “free will” is. But it just…isn’t. You can’t will yourself into being a god with control over what you are and what will satisfy you. (You can claim that you’re satisfied, but sadly, that’s different from being satisfied.)
The truth is, what you were made for is so much better than what you think you want. Read the Bible, put what you’re hearing to the test, and prove me wrong. You’re already trying to put what Gerwig and Satan say are right to the test. How’s it working out?
I mean actually it's really just the story of Adam and Eve and their fall, but with Greta Gerwig's ending and contextual spin put on it.
God actually created man in His own image first, for relationship with Him, and then added woman because it was not good for man to be alone without a helper. Then the Enemy told Eve that disobeying God would make her "LIKE GOD," so she disobeyed God and Adam went along with it, and instead of being like God they became monsters and their relationship was broken with God. But He offered a way to fix it by sacrificing His Son in mankind's place and un-twisting their monstrousness back into what humanity was meant for.
But in Greta Gerwig's understanding, Eve was in a sheltered idealized perfect environment and started to "wake up" to the messy possibilities of life and mortality. Barbie's jarred out of perfect, idealized Barbieland and into the messy life-and-mortality of the real world. Oh, and Ken's there too.
Instead of learning that she's become a twisted-up monster-version of what she'd been made for and opting to be returned to her true purpose, like a Christian does, Barbie does the opposite.
She decides she wants to become human--and since, in this movie, humanity means "messy decision maker" and that, in turn, translates to "a god worthy of worship," she's literally doing what Eve ACTUALLY did to sever her relationship with God in the first place: try to be god.
But instead of that breaking Barbie's relationship with her creator and twisting her up even further until she's eventually destroyed, this decision to be god is portrayed as a good thing. In fact, her creator admits that (supposedly) a creator has no say in the matter--then disappears. Because in Greta Gerwig's worldview, God is dead, for all the meaning or use or power He has, and we are gods just as we are.
It's disgusting. It's revisionist history. It's taking a historical person with the moral standing of King Henry, and writing a metaphor about how chopping his wives' heads off was actually the grand transcendent defining moment of his life--which was objectively beautiful.
That's what Greta Gerwig's Barbie has done with humanity's Fall. She says "it wasn't a Fall, it was an Awakening." Which is exactly what the Enemy lied and claimed that it would be. She's just believing the old lie and perpetuating it.
And unfortunately, the God of the Bible is actually real (plot twist) and very much on control of how all this ends. And it just doesn't end with the monsters pretending to sit on His throne listening to a pretty Billie Eilish song and smiling the end credits into place, I gotta say.
I mean it's expertly done. Very engaging story. Speaks to everything we, as humans, love in the worst way. But it's a lie. And its basically the least original take on...humanity. The world we live in. God Himself. It's the original unoriginality.
#Greta gerwig is a genius#but she’s duped by the same lie that snagged Eve#and unoriginal#and faithless#chrisitianity#Barbie#404computerhamstersnotfound

What if child mc came to them as a newborn and raise them (I know Les doesn’t like babies) and they spoke their first word?
Finlay: Technically, wouldn't be able to raise them so the MC would be living somewhere else but they'd be pretty stoked!! They'd also feel very proud that the mc spoke 'so quickly' -- more or less spends the day seeing if mc can say more than one word, is vaguely disappointed when they can't but still!!
Lesilfae: If you didn't say 'father/uncle, I wish to take a job at your store" he doesn't wanna hear it. Would be secretly pleased if mc said, 'coin' or 'money' as their first word.
Galeon: Almost drops the mc when they manage to burble out a, "Dad" -- probably panics because the mc spoke so early?? too early?? doesn't realize that humans talk fairly early on compared to a Yven, Fyvar, or Evaani. Proud dad but also omg can you say it again so Hollond believes him????
Hollond: Doesn't believe it when Galeon tells them, kinda just scoffs and says "suuure. yeah, because our kid is old enough already..." Jokes on them tho, mc just babbled out another, 'dad' and now they're crying.
Greta: MC just spat out sister while she was playing with them and now she's bouncing around, screaming, yelling, and shouting out of the windows that her sibling just said their first word!! can yall believe it??!! they're so, super smart!!
TLDR: everyone thinks baby!mc is a super genius even though they're probably right on track for a human child... don't tell them that tho.

Castlevania Season 4 - My Thoughts
So we return, for the end Well, the 'end', there's possibility for expanded universe stories they say but for our current trio this is how we finish it
I've just binged it all so it's fresh in the mind, so I'm gonna look at the ups and downs of it all
You can also look at my review of season 3 if you'd like
Spoilers for Season 4, Watch it and get back here
So yeah, another great season, it had its downs but a lot of it had its ups too, which we will get to soon - but first let's get the negatives out of the way
What wasn't so good Nothing is perfect, and while a lot of these will be negatives they are mostly small negatives, stuff I felt could've been done a little bit better.
Saint Germain's heel turn could've been hidden So Saint Germain turning bad under the deception of death was a good way to establish conflict and pull back the rebus thing he mentioned in Season 3. But I kinda wish we didn't immediately know that he had broke bad, like we could've been super sly and coy about the fact that he's back and this time encountering Alucard only to be the orchestrator, like imagine the shock we could've had with learning what he was doing in the Castle then getting the flashback which drove him to it.
The rules of the ring change Last season Hector made the foolish decision of trusting Lenore, and while he got to bed a sexy vampire it had cost him all his freedom and the ring would prevent Hector acting against the coven of four sisters. But come this season it turns out that Hector was easily able to scheme against the sisters and invite the downfall of Camilla. Was a bit weird to establish that last season only to ignore it in the next.
The Patented Slow Start Castlevania has had a bit of a knack for starting slowly and Season 4 kinda did the same, things only really kicked off halfway through. Now of course we had to establish things; Trevor and Sypha being exhausted, the plans to resurrect Dracula, Alucard taking in the village and whatnot but we did linger on it a bit too much.
Striga's 'Day Armor' doesn't get enough time Striga took an ambush like a champ with a specialized armor that allowed her to fight in daylight. It was awesome and striking and looked absolutely badass...but that's the only time we saw it. It was just a shame really, granted it ended up that this was Striga's only time to fight, but we could've then used it for other characters, like the ambush dude who had his armor picked apart by the trio, or the Slavic vampire, just felt we could've done more with it.
CGI is sometimes a little shoddy The animation quality was mostly excellent, but that made it very glaring when some of the 3D rendering kinda hit an uncanny valley. I think the one that was most iffy was when Varney jumped into the mirror and then the mirror fragments just kinda wiped into the ground - even though Isaac's mirror tore a hole in the air - it was just a bit off-putting at times.
Couple of things left behind So when we ended it felt like we wrapped a lot of things up...except 2 things. One, where is Saint Germain's unnamed kickass lover? We caught her silhouette just walk away so we know she wasn't killed by Death, she's just 'out there' now. We also never got back to Targoviste, whose survivors must be wondering how to function since Sypha their only hope kinda disappeared on them, they'll also learn that their royals are dead, so it would've been nice to wrap that up.
Our heroes decide to use weapons sparingly In terms of arsenal we knew that our trio had a lot. The weird thing is that in some fights they just wouldn't use what would've been handy to them. There's of course Chekov's god dagger - which we didn't get too much explaining on - but Trevor would often just not use his Morningstar or Vampire Killer at times, even against two vampires, Sypha also seems to have forgotten how to use her wind magic or used her ice buzzsaw extremely sparingly and now Alucard can suddenly have bird wings...which could've been useful in prior fights.
We still lacked intelligent Night Creatures, and the badass vampires were underused So I still feel like it was very missed that the sentient night creatures of Season 1 didn't return still, especially since they were death's creatures. The one's dialogue with the priest is still among Castlevania's best and it's a shame we missed out on seeing more of it. In addition, the Ambusher's squad of vampires looked pretty cool, but like Dracula's council ended up just being swatted away after one fight, the same can be said with the Slavic vampire that was rolling with Varney. They didn't even get the pre-battle slaughter that Dracula's council did, Godbrand got more than these guys and that's a shame.
We don't get Bloody Tears or the Full Opening So the music was good, but we didn't get Bloody Tears again. For the final chapter of this saga it would've been better than using the opening song when the trio were together. Speaking of the opening song, we could've had the full length opening that we loved to see, small stuff but it would've elevated it.
Sypha is pregnant, because...because! So Sypha being pregnant is sweet, but it wasn't really needed aside from the throwaway 'trefor' joke which Alucard did better. Also that baby has gone through a lot, it's not like Sypha's been skipping in a meadow these past few weeks. Also they really gloss over how Trevor knows this and she doesn't
Some of this could've been done in a Season 5 This is more the fault of Netflix I'm guessing, since it does feel like after Season 3 we had much more to tell, but it did feel like some of the characters skipped a load of development. At the end of Season 3, Hector was beside himself in the fact that Lenore enslaved him, Isaac was still very bent on killing everything, Camilla is soaking in her genius and Alucard is more closed off than ever, but in Season 4 Hector is much more content and now has some legitimate connection to Lenore, Lenore is treated as sympathetic, Isaac is eating berries with a new outlook and Alucard decides to rescue a village because they asked, also he has a shield now. It does feel like half of what Season 4 had could've been in a Season 5, and then Season 4 could've built between having the growth be showed; Lenore feeling left out and confiding in Hector, Isaac deciding to bury the dead and rebuild the city, Trevor and Sypha having some friction in their relationship and Alucard not helping someone in need and then regretting it. As I said, this is probably not the show's fault, they were likely told that Season 4 would be it and they had to make do with it but in a vacuum it would've been nice to have had a little more build.
What was Awesome about it So I could easily just say 'the rest of it' but I guess I can afford to be a little more detailed.
Great Animation Aside from the CGI at times the animation was a top grade of excellence. I mean I watched the current My Hero Academia episode which really was pushing its budget and still I'm impressed by this animation, the artwork and settings were excellent too.
Downside: You're turning into Trevor, Upside: You get a strong warrior woman as a love interest While Alucard could've used some more time to go from emotionally scarred by 'the twins' to sympathizing with the town's plight, his character dynamic with Greta was great. Greta herself proved an excellent late addition being both a capable fighter, a strong independent leader and someone who was more than just an Alucard love interest. If you don't like strong women you're doing it wrong basically, and Alucard realising how he's turning into Trevor was some lightheartedness to Alucard combatting his loneliness and depression.
The Dialogue remains just as enthralling as the combat One of Castlevania's great strengths especially in seasons 1 and 3 were their use of gripping dialogue, the philosophical confrontations of different parties envelop the characters in greater depth thanks to the excellent script, primarily for Isaac and his chat with the bug man. The Slav Vampire also had a fantastic monologue.
Characters remain complex After four seasons it would've been easy to make some characters one dimensional, including the side villains, but Castlevania kept with the morally grey. The psycho noble clung hard to her delusions but her motives remained pure, as much as she was someone on the heroes' side she also infuriated Sypha, Saint Germain was driven to evil out of desperation but he still believably made amends in the very very end, Striga, Lenore and Morana were all on the side of the villains but had doubt about the scope of Camilla's ambition and made them consider their very nature. Simply put, it bodes well when characters have struggles that affect their motivation.
Layered Scheming 'Bring Back Dracula' was a simple premise, but the show did really well in connecting the channels between 3 plot areas, Trevor and Sypha learned of the plot by continually walking into scholar vampires attempt it, in Season 3 it was via a Night Creature in Isaac's name to start it all too, this connects to the Hector & Isaac story through Varney who schemes with the former to enact the plan, but this also connects to Alucard's story thanks to Saint Germain also plotting too. It was a clever way to entwine all three separate stories which would eventually bring things together.
Action still kicks a lot of ass Castlevania has good action? In other news water makes things wet. But still we got some great brutal action we've come familiar with in Castlevania. It could've been easy to go overboard like other shows had, which'd zone in on one thing like gore or nudity but Castlevania remained consistent in their action, looking for new lengths of creativity that never pushed its bounds. Of course building up to the final battle where we took it up a notch for the crescendo. Also I continue to call her Sypha 'Fatality' Belnades because god she kicks ass.
Isaac and Hector grow up It could've been easy and satisfying for Isaac to just roll up to Styria, take his revenge on Hector and leave, acting in both anger and mercy. But instead the characters grew beyond it, Isaac finally decides to heed what the shopkeeper and ship captain were saying rather than the crazy witch, Hector accepts his fate but works to try and make amends his own way. When the two finally cross again we see that both have accepted their humanity and instead of working for someone else they look to seek their own happiness, they forgive humanity in a way and it saves themselves. Their understanding to 'let Dracula rest' also grants them payoff from being Dracula's loyal commanders.
Camilla goes out swinging Where was this Camilla hiding huh? Brutal, Lightning powers and a crimson sword, I mean the wardrobe seems to be a bit less than last season and not battle-suited but dammit did Camilla grip you in her scenes. Her desperation and madness in taking over the world set her up to her downfall where she was betrayed and overwhelmed by Isaac's forces, but rather than let him have the satisfaction she kills herself. It could've easily fell flat because Camilla had just been sitting around like a vampire Cersei Lannister last season and end up proving her frustrations right by having a man take her life but instead she took control of her life and went out strong.
The bittersweet ending of Lenore At the end of season 3 the scheming Lenore claimed herself 'the diplomat', but having been shelved and fonder of Hector than usual it opened the door to explore her own grasp of control. The theme of enduring being prominent in this season for all the arcs we had. We learned the tragedy of Lenore's situation though, as a child of war diplomacy was her escape, she isn't comfortable with peace or total control, she can only live for conflict. While she does like Hector, she ends up valuing her own freedom in the end; and though we could've given more time to earn that sympathy we still accept it as she decides against a quiet life of surveillance freedom with Hector - ironically as Hector has lived under Camilla's captivity - and instead chose death. It was a much more poetic death than gruesome as well, after mulling how she mourned her sister because she understood the nature of greed she elected to make a choice rather than live without making any, looking at the sun for once and getting one last banter with Hector before immediately fading to dust. In a show that almost prides itself on hypergore and graphic deaths, this one was perhaps the most tranquil deaths of the show.
Striga and Morana overcome the greed Which leads to the final two of the four sisters. Camilla consumed herself with greed and died fighting for it, Lenore had no greed but also had no freedom so chose to die in order to be free, but lovers Striga and Morana were not in Styria for Isaac's attack, they were on the outskirts fighting and seeing the struggle firsthand. Their conflict over how they agreed and disagreed on certain aspects of the fight was intriguing, with the intermission of Striga on a tear in her swanky armour to tilt the tone to Striga's side of the argument. A Soldier and a Politician, both agreed though that Camilla's ambitions only worked on paper, so when confronted with their castle overrun and their sister dead it became a matter of duty or survival. Instead of dying in a good fight, Striga looked past her desire of battle and agreed to follow Morana in living, and Morana gave up any political power she could have under an empire to be a mercenary. They didn't overreach, and it spares them their lives in a surprising conclusion where the 'bad guys' still kinda get to live happily ever after.
The ReHumanization of Alucard Alucard has always been a fan favourite, but in the world of Castlevania he still acts as an outcast. While helping the village and getting close to Greta helps bring out some positive emotions in him, it's his dedication to saving the people that gives the show some of its lightest moments, especially when he toys with the kids. In a way it's what he wanted from the twins, but they had lived to not trust and wanted to kill rather than survive, and he grew a community out of it. Allowing the town to settle is the ultimate payoff for Alucard too, because it fulfills his mother's dream, now there are people who know the knowledge that his father did.
Bringing the old band together We all knew that Trevor and Sypha were gonna reunite with Alucard sometime near the end, I mean it's a shame they ditched a city that cannot organize themselves but they were kinda needed in the castle. What's best is that the moment came in it was like they never left, perfectly in sync and bantering off each other, when they fought the top level vampires it was their teamwork and synergy which made them overcome - which is great battle narrative too because alone they were getting beaten. It's just the stuff you love to see.
Trevor is tougher than Death The final battle being Trevor vs Death was a proper Attack on Titan-esque boss fight, just peeling away at the enemy and trying not to get hit. As well as a feast for the eyes it proved to be an entertaining climax - in spite of the limited info we got on the magic 3-piece dagger - and in a way it paid off Trevor's character journey. When we first met him he was an outcasted drunk that wanted nothing to do with the world let alone his family, but now he's here fighting death to save innocent people, his half-vampire buddy and his pregnant speaker magician girlfriend, being willing to give his own life for something bigger than himself, and succeeding...thanks to Saint Germain who owed him a favour and one very clever unsung hero of a horse. To tell you the truth when I saw the trailer I was expecting Sypha to have died and Trevor to be pulling her out of hell by fighting death, but this still worked really well and was perhaps a bit more logical to the canon they set.
Death is temporary, Dracula is forever With all the attempts to revive Dracula one had to work eventually. But back at Season 3 I'm sure we all thought about what would Dracula's reaction be anyway. I mean, yeah he's dead but his wife is there, you really wanna be the guy who ripped him from his wife a second time? It worked though because the people loyal to Dracula never truly understood his grief, they only wanted to further their own agendas through him. So when Dracula does come back in the final scenes with his wife, we see that Vlad Tepes is no longer the vicious killer he once was, not for now anyway. Reviving Dracula may make people think that Trevor and Sypha's actions in Season 3 and 4 were worthless because he still revives but you do have to remember that they do still save a few lives and make a few less night creatures. In addition if they want to expand the universe long into the future they can bring Dracula back in older and disillusioned again if they see fit.
He has many faces, but you still know him At about episode 8 I was really ramping up to tear into the Alchemist and Varney for being practically useless characters, but then the show went and hit me with a great twist by having both characters being guises of Death itself, the proper big bad of the season. It was a fantastic twist which validates the characters, because it was super suspect that the alchemist know where the girl was and said you can't look at her rebus, and that Varney felt like a beta Godbrand but still managed to slither away from the fights. His design was excellent too, the crown was really menacing.
A Surprise Happy Ending! Like, could any of us imagined that? The fight ends, Trevor and Sypha live happily to make a family, Alucard has his friends, a girlfriend and a community that appreciates him, Isaac has his own kingdom, Hector doesn't get the girl or a finger but he still has his freedom, Striga and Morana have each other, it mostly wrapped up very neatly and was earned, a satisfying end which closes the chapter on our trio.
Conclusion
It is sad to see great shows end, Castlevania's use of anime-style animation with gore and a strong voice cast has done extremely well, especially for a show who only got 4 episodes for a first season. It did feel like Netflix didn't give it a chance, but it pulled it off big time and escaped Netflix's cancel hammer long enough to bring a satisfying story, and one can hope we see more of this style and universe either in more Castlevania stories or even the rumored Devil May Cry adaptation.

Forgot to post this! @alistu used Cosclay for the hair of his latest sculpture and i thought was was so genius i had to try it too. You can see how it’s a total mishmash of sculpey (grey) and cosplay (rosy) because i was just experimenting around. Cosclay is basically a sculpey that kinda becomes like hard rubber when it hardens and stays fairly flexible. It’s amazing to make strands of hair or spikes or anything like that that would break off super easily. It’s still very expensive in my country but i will certainly use that again in the future!
As for using with with supey sculpey: they blend very well and have a similar baking time so it’s a greta combo!

Hi, thank you so much for breaking down the Aspiration and Zodiacs of the premades! 😃 Since my story concept involving the Windenburg premades is set like 15 years back (so when the young-adults were still teens), how do you imagine the parents, siblings, and pets of the Behrs and the sims from Partihaus and Free Spirits?
Yeah, you are so welcome! That’s so exciting too, I’d love to see when you’re done! Sorry this took a little longer than I thought but I, once again, have no chill 😆
So, for this I went back into the file and dug through the sims' family trees and brought their deceased family members back to life. I don't think I put too much energy into a lot of the unalive family members when I made them, but some have more personality than others.
If you or anyone else has any more questions, please don’t hesitate to ask! I really enjoy doing stuff like this!
Anyway~ (ignore my sloppy images lol)
Behr: The original family description mentions Candy & Yuki inherited their house from Grandma (Doris) Behr. While Chiyo is more on the studious, serious side, Felix is more of a lazy slob. In Kookablarn, they died in a fire :/. Chiyo Behr: Candy & Yuki's mother. Knowledge / Pisces. Felix Behr: Candy & Yuki's father. Romance / Libra. Doris Behr: Candy & Yuki's grandmother. Family / Aquarius. (She looks serious, but she's actually really nice! She did all the work taking care of the family.) Heinrich Behr: Candy & Yuki's grandfather. Popularity / Virgo. Yoko Maeno: Candy & Yuki's grandmother. Knowledge / Virgo. Tetsu Maeno: Candy & Yuki's grandfather. Popularity / Gemini. (He's super muscular and I couldn't tell ye why)
Capricciosa (Eva’s parents): Big yikes to these two, amirite? They both have the Evil trait, Greta is a Kleptomaniac and Hates Children and Vezio is Hot-Headed and Self-Absorbed. Greta Capricciosa: Romance/Pleasure / Aries Vezio Capricciosa: Romance / Aries (he blinked T_T)
Flex (Marcus’ parents): So, Devonte is kinda mean and kinda puts his goals before all (he’s Athletic) and Sade is a bit of a Perfectionist, but she loves her family. I think they would have more kids, maybe Marcus could be the oldest of a bunch of younger siblings! Devonte Flex: Popularity / Gemini Sade Flex: Family / Scorpio
Rosa (Jade’s parents): They’re both Materialistic. Sanchez likes cooking and he’s pretty nice, just reserved and serious. I imagine they were pretty wealthy. Jade strikes me as an older sister, so I can see her having a younger sibling. Fabiana Rosa: Family / Aquarius Sanchez Rosa: Fortune / Cancer (He should be wearing a suit)
Rocca (Paolo’s parents): They’re both Self-Absorbed, but Narcisco is a Snobby Genius and Vera is Family-Oriented. But she also likes money, like a LOT. I think Paolo could have either a younger sister or an older brother! Vera Rocca: Family/Fortune / Aquarius Narcisco Rocca: Fortune / Scorpio
Faust: Both of Ulrike’s parents are creatives. Anneli’s kinda Gloomy and Carsten’s a bit of a snob. If they had any more kids, I could see Ulrike with an annoying younger brother haha. Anneli Faust: Ulrike’s mother. Fortune / Cancer. Carsten Faust: Ulrike’s father. Fortune / Scorpio. Trude Faust: Ulrike’s grandmother. Popularity / Gemini. Ludwig Faust: Ulrike’s grandfather. Knowledge / Taurus. Luise Saft: Ulrike’s grandmother. Popularity / Aires. (She blinked too...also, she’s like a cool, rocker grandma) Arnold Saft: Ulrike’s grandfather. Romance / Leo.
Haas: Maaike gets her personality from her mother, who is Hot-Headed and Snobby. Maaike’s father Kobus is a family guy. Nelke Haas: Maaike’s mother. Fortune/Popularity / Cancer. Kobus Haas: Maaike’s father. Family / Cancer. Paulette Haas: Maaike’s grandmother. Knowledge / Pisces. Nard Haas: Maaike’s grandfather. Popularity / Aires. Iwan Folkink: Maaike’s grandfather. Fortune / Libra. Janske Folkink: Maaike’s grandmother. Popularity/Pleasure / Aires.

I’m bored and waiting for the living room TV to free up so I can play more Dead By Daylight on my XBox, so, I thought I’d share my ideas for possible chapters/killers/survivors/maps, ect.
Spoilers for their respective franchises ahead!
SallyFace
If this game were to be incorporated into Dead By Daylight, I think it’d be best to make it more like Bill and Ash, where you only have the survivor with no killer or map. In this case, Sal Fisher would be a great addition to the game. It could easily be worked in that the Entity picked him up after he was executed at the end of Chapter Four, like how the Entity picked up Detective Tapp and Amanda from the Saw franchise after their deaths. The reason I think this could work with just Sal is because, while popular, SallyFace is not nearly as popular as some other franchises and isn’t that well-known a game when you think about it. But Sal is already kinda recognized, as he is the main character and his appearance sticks with you. Like the Funko POPs, it just makes a bit more sense to only have Sal.
The Boy
I’d love to have Brahms in Dead By Daylight. Hell, he’s already got a title: “The Boy” He’d be a perfect candidate for the Entity’s realm. The Entity seems to love masked killers, and Brahms has racked up a bit of a body count; remember, he used to kill the nannies that failed to follow the rules or tried to leave him. Not to mention the girl he killed as a child. For the Survivor, it would have to obviously be Greta Evans, the main character and protagonist of the first movie. Perhaps, the main motivation for Brahms to listen to the Entity would be the chance to get Greta back for himself. Brahms is a stubborn brat, and would likely throw a tantrum and refuse the Entity’s offers for anything else. He likely wouldn’t be that intimidated by the Entity either. It’s hard to explain, but I just can’t see him actually being afraid, or even acknowledging the Entity’s massive power advantage. Other killers agreed either in a deal, or simply out of fear of the Entity’s power. Brahms would likely take a deal. For the map, the Heelshire estate is an obvious choice. There’s the manor grounds, the manor, and the woods around it. Also, the manor has several hidden hallways and rooms in the walls, where Brahms lived; so it would be a great map to place in the game and put generators around.
Thirteen Ghosts
Yeah, I know it’s not the most loved movie, but I enjoyed it, and I think it’d be fun. The killer is a bit tricky in this one, though. Cyrus just wouldn’t work as a killer. Despite being a genius, he’s not really a killer, or at least not one like the Entity would be looking for. He’s completely human, and while that itself isn’t an issue, the fact that he never really does any harm, himself, is. He, at most, beat his nephew with a cane, but he never outright murdered anyone. (Kalina technically counts as a murder, but I doubt the Entity is going to be impressed by him just using his house to kill her) It’s make more sense for one of the ghosts to be the killer the Entity would want. Out of all of them, the ghosts that I think would be considered would either be the Angry Princess, or the Jackal. The problem is that the Angry Princess is completely naked, and I doubt developers would let that fly. Also, with her being all cut up, and carrying a blade, she’d be too much like Rin. That leaves the Jackal as “The Jackal”. From what I see online, he’s the most popular ghost and the most well known from the film; he’d also work really well gameplay wise. He could be like the Nurse or the Spirit, able to go through walls, and his weapon(s) would be his nails; he used them to rip into both Kathy and Arthur. His appearance would be wicked cool in the game, too. The Survivor, I’d like to think would be Dennis Rafkin, the psychic who worked for Cyrus to help capture the 12 ghosts. He was killed by the Juggernaut in the film, but the Entity has taken dead characters before; again, with Tapp and Amanda being examples. His psychic powers could add some interesting perks, like maybe getting flashes where you could maybe see from the killer’s point of view, giving you an idea of where the killer is. The idea isn’t entirely fleshed out, but you get the point; it’d be cool to have a character similar to Cheryl, where supernatural forces aid them. The map would be interesting. Clearly, it’d have to be Cyrus’ mansion. With all the glass walls and writing on them, it’d be a hell of a map to navigate (obviously it would have windows in the walls and pallets to fit with gameplay). Something interesting that could be added is the possibility that they have about 3 different layouts for this map, and it could be a different layout each time, with windows, pallets, and doorways being moved. Basically where a window could be one time you played on the map may not be there the next time you play on that map. I hope that’s not too confusing. It would be interesting to kinda replicate how the walls would move in the movie in order to release the ghosts and guide them. Also, the claustrophobia and confusion would add to fear (at least it was pretty freaky to me in the movie).
Child’s Play
It (2017 Remake)
Jeepers Creepers
Yes, yes, everyone mentions these ones, and I agree. Just go watch Wow Such Gaming’s video series on YouTube which explains why each antagonist should be a killer in the game, it makes more sense than I could describe.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YDWmmPRvjEQ&list=PL8Ts2TFQcaDbyJvPuVNNQffIC-jbECXfp
House of 1000 Corpses
Otis B Driftwood and Baby Firefly would both be great to have in the game. For both, it would be cool if it could be like Legion where you could play as either. Their name could be “The Firefly” with both being a part of the Firefly Clan. Though, in all honesty, Otis would likely be the only one taken by the Entity. He’s the most well known Firefly, most popular, and I feel like you can do more with him. This would likely be like Ghost Face or Leatherface’s release, where it’s only a killer with no survivor. His main outfit should be the one towards the end when the Fireflies are performing a ceremony on Halloween, with the long red coat and makeup. His weapon could be just about any knife. The Entity could grant him some power like he did with Danny so Otis would have more of an advantage; Otis would totally do what the Entity tells him to. Not that he would like being ordered around, but he’d be fine with the idea of nonstop killing.
Rule of Rose
Out of all the suggestions I have, this is one that I know for sure would never even be considered. But whatever, I love this game, and these are my suggestions and opinions, so I’ll just be stupid with this idea on my own. Seriously though, this game needs a remaster so badly; I have no doubt that it would be much more popular and praised if released today with newer graphics and a touched up on story line (Not that the storyline isn’t already good, but you understand what I mean). The killer for this one should be Gregory M. Wilson, also known at “The Stray Dog”. After his suicide after committing the massacre at Rose Garden Orphanage, the Entity picks him up and tells him that if he kills like the Entity tells him to, he’ll be reunited with his late son in the end (of course, with no intention of actually doing so), and takes advantage of Gregory’s shattered mental state. The survivor would be the game’s protagonist, Jennifer. After the events of the game (and her childhood, with the game’s point being Jennifer remember and coping with her childhood traumas), Jennifer plans to reopen the Rose Garden Orphanage and actually help children, but she is taken by the Entity before it opens. We’ve got characters from the 70′s, 80′s, and 90′s; and we know the Entity has been abducting people for practically centuries, so it’d be cool to see characters being taken from earlier than the 70′s; with both Jennifer and Gregory being taken from the 30′s-40′s (Jennifer is 19 around this time, so yeah, about the 40′s for her). The map could be none other than the Rose Garden Orphanage, with some elements of the airship from Jennifer’s past connected to it, like in the actual Rule of Rose game.
Well, these are some of my ideas for now; I might add more later, but I wanted to get these ideas put down :)

Tag game
tag 9 people you would like to know better or catch up with! I was tagged by @subdee thank you!
last song: I’m currently wondering through the magical universe of Spotify (which was recently introduced in my country), so nothing in particular, but my current on-repeat is Cults - Always forever because of this HxH edit. I’m stuck in this fandom :) In this regard, I’m also checking HxH fanosts and a German band Poems for Jamiro, some songs remind me of HxH, for example Heartbeat (Kurapika) and Never get home (Killugon).
last movie: Nothing fresh. I saw the Wizard of Oz and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire while in bed processing side-effects of vaccination. Goblet of Fire is underrated. Before this I watched Mata Hari (1931 film), it broke my heart. The real biography of Mata Hari dancer was even more tragic, and the main couple was played by Greta Garbo and Ramon Novarro - both closeted lgbtq+. Black and white films are great: Hollywood and European cinema were different but they both broadcast a hypnotic intellectuality and a soothing therapeutic effect.
currently watching: I recently wached Marvelous Mrs Maisel and it’s brilliant. The third season was the most powerful IMAO. As for the anime, it’s Yu Yu Hakusho (episode 23 out of 118?). It’s kinda outdated, the early episodes are boring due to many battles, but I remember that Togashi was under pressure from the editors despite the fact that his storytelling was obviously better than battle scenes. So I’ll continue to watch in the strong hope of better arcs. I admire Togashi’s brilliant consistency in his ideas and ideals, they stay the same but you can see how they develop in his future works. Similarly, HxH characters keep psychological features and cores from old characters. HxH is a giant leap forward. Togashi is always learning, improving and staying faithful to himself.
currently reading: Ingmar Bergman’s memoirs “Laterna Magica” (“the Magic Lantern”). Bergman was a Swedish film director, one of the best in the 20th century. His life was f***d up from the beginning due to toxic family upbringing. All siblings had to follow radical religious dogmas and wrong psychological advice from child doctors. And so this boy grew up into a pinned voodoo doll and went on destroying other people’s lives, incapable of love, unable to heal. He recovered eventually but his films got more experimental, absorbing his darkness and creative genius like a sponge. Surprisingly, his films were always kind, filled with so much compassion. And he filmed women like men - his female leads had deep characterisation, long close-ups of faces, open sexuality. I think this book is hard to understand if you are not an artist yourself, and it’s difficult to read if you are mentally sensitive. But it’s good for those, who had a difficult childhood and are striving to become successful in their career.
currently craving: SEMLA. It is served in Scandinavia from end-Jan to mid-Feb! We don’t have it on sale, but if these delightful deadly cream bombs show up in any bakery or cafe in another city - I’ll go there. Cheaper than to fly to Sweden, which is on lockdown anyway, duh.
Tagging @buzzykrueger @emperorthighs, @little-lonely-flower, @telehxhtrash! Only if you want to!

You know, after reading Forever (my cheeks are still wet, thanks for that), I kinda have this thought...Virgil's mother KNOWS. She knows that that is what is waiting for them, maybe not in specifics, but she knows that they will be together again. And that's why she made them Linda, because even though she's fae, she'd still lose her mortal parents, and that grief for her would be there in place of the grief of losing a mortal child. 1/2
But someday Linda will go there too, and see them again and meet Aunt Greta and her cousin Trudi, and they'll ALL of them be together again. Grandmother is all "You want a family? Just you wait. You'll get one, forever"
taylor youre a genius and i love your brain this is some GODTIER content fucking hell now IM crying again!!!
