when frank decides to propose to hazel, it takes him so long to actually do it. he wants it to be perfect, and he keeps psyching himself out so he just carries around the ring in his pocket for months, trying to figure out the best time to surprise hazel.
due to his nerves about making it the perfect proposal he has completely forgotten that hazel can in fact sense precious metals and has known the entire time that he has the ring.

I just realized that me and @corviids both have twin characters named Saera and Aenys and if they existed in the same timeline, they would be first cousins.

#oh i am a bit tired tonight folks. had a nice time yesterday trawling through old pens forums and linking back some posts to here#(all with links because like - it's nice to share where you've found fun stuff right?) no point gatekeeping at all - we don't own content#and then the same old people once again somehow by chance post the exact same five or six photos 5 minutes after#and yeah. great minds think alike right? you were probably trawling a not touched since 2015 forum too at the same time. it's possible#and out of the hundreds of photos on there you decided to make the exact selection i did. it's possible right?#and truthfully i don't really care because i'm posting this stuff because my blog is MY personal archive and it's stuff I want to catalogue#but when you have blocked as many blogs and sideblogs as you can and people are still finding you and send you shitty anons for just...#daring to use the player tags? cataloging stuff by literally tagging the player's name? ughhhhh it's exhausting how can i block you when yo#are the tumblr equivalent of hydra regrowing a new fake sideblog pretending to be a different person every week.#sorry i know this ranting into the abyss is pointless but i have a few more posts scheduled for tonight and i know i'll wake up tomorrow#and miraculously the same ones will be posted on the same people's blogs 5 minutes after me and it's just so childish#but yeah. we all know who they are and i'm just a little tired of it and hearing the stories of people being harassed in their inboxes/dms#anyway anyway anyway. i think i shall just take a break from posting stuff because feeling a little disheartened! and uncomfortable#because i feel watched. please stop using other blogs to find me. please stop talking about me in your tags. touch some grass my friends

you get upset when eddie's friends think you're clingy. he sets you straight with some unbridled affection. requested here. fem!reader, 2.6k
˚ʚ♡ɞ˚
The diner is bustling with life and smells alike, people in their summer jackets eager to sit down and dig into a plate of greasy, fatty meats. You're just as excited, your fingers curled into Eddie's sleeve and following his lead as he weaves through a gaggle of kids playing between the bar and the booths.
"Sorry, sir," a young girl says to him, springing out of his path.
"That's okay," he says, leaning back to squint at you curiously, "Do I look like a sir?" he asks you.
Pale faced, dark-haired, the remnants of last night's eyeliner clinging to his bottom lashes, you can't say you'd look at Eddie and think, Sir. Pretty boy extraordinaire with a rather inviting smile, absolutely.
"I think so, sir," you say.
Eddie laughs at you, pressing a hand behind your shoulders to move you along. His friend Gareth waves from a booth tucked in a corner under a white sconce. Jamison sits to his left, and Margaret to his right. You feel a little skip in your pulse at the sight —they intimidate you, and you want desperately for them to like you, only you never know what to say.
"Hey," Eddie says as you approach the booth. He pushes you gently to encourage you into the seat first. "How's it going? Did we order?"
"We were waiting for you. They said we have to go up to the bar when we're ready."
"We're late, I get it. Where's Jeff?"
"He went to the bathroom, like, ten minutes ago," Jamison says with a sigh, climbing to his feet. "I'll go see if he's alright."
"He's fine. Maggie, are you coming to order?" Gareth says, getting up with him.
"Yes, finally!" she says.
The relative chaos of your arrival has you hesitating in your seat. Margaret left her purse and her jacket on the table, and Jamison his keys.
"You okay to stay here while I order?" Eddie asks.
You'd much prefer Eddie order for you, but you don't want to be sitting here by yourself if Jamison and Jeff come back before him. You won't know what to say. It won't be their fault. You'll make things awkward for everyone.
You stand up again, shedding your jacket as you do. No one's gonna steal anyone's stuff, the bar is too close. "I'll come with you."
Eddie slots your fingers together easily, grinning, "Lucky me."
His friends order first and return to the booth soon after. You and Eddie get cut by a cranky looking old lady but neither of you say anything, nowhere to be and no reason to mind. He tells you about the guitar he's been repairing at work and you listen adoringly, in love with the shape of his lips and how he says every word. He's a great storyteller.
A new friend appears once you've ordered.
"Hey, Eddie!" one of the waiters says, appearing from the kitchen with a tray of drinks and fries in hand. "Man, I've been trying to get a hold of you all week. The string on my daughter's guitar flew off, nearly blinded her in the process, would you be able to fix that for me? I'll pay you for your time."
Eddie waves it off. "It'll only take five minutes, you can drop by whenever I'm home. Why do they keep splitting like that, is she messing with the pegs?"
"She definitely is. Can I get your number? Macey washed my pants without emptying the pockets."
There's a mad scramble for a pen. You have one in your jacket because Eddie's always looking for one, but your jacket is back in the booth. You promise to make a hasty return and set off for it, glad to see Jeff's alright, standing at the table likely waiting for you and Eddie to get back rather than move your things. You like Jeff most out of everyone. With the whole group collected you know he won't drag you into conversation.
"She's a bit… much," Gareth's saying.
"How can she be a bit much? She doesn't say a lot," Maggie says.
You frown. You're the only other she.
"Not like that, just– the touching and stuff. She's always grabbing onto him like a toddler. I don't think I could stand it."
"You don't have to stand it," Jeff says. "She's Eddie's girl."
"Clearly."
"Gareth, when was the last time you got laid?" Maggie asks, flicking a hair tie at him, to his annoyance. "You're being bitter. They fucking love each other, man, it's nice."
"It is a little tiny bit too much sometimes," Jamison says.
You wince. You know it's a matter of seconds before one of them turns to see you standing there. Is it worse to turn around or to approach?
You walk up to the table just as Gareth says, "Yes! Thank you man, she's too–"
He cuts off when he sees you with a cough.
"Who?" you ask, full well knowing it's you. Honestly, you're shy but you still get mad, you kind of want him to own up and say it while you're there, and at the same time you're hoping against hope they'll lie.
Thankfully, they pretend it was about someone else.
"Nobody," Maggie says.
"Some girl at the library," Jamison says.
You lean past Jeff with as sunny an apology as you can manage to grab the pen from your jacket. "Eddie," you say by way of explanation, holding the pen up with a shrug.
You walk away quicker than you should. It's obvious you've overheard. There's a thump and a, "Nice fucking job, loser."
Eddie's deep in conversation as you offer the pen. He takes it without stopping, but he makes sure he kisses your cheek.
"I'm gonna go to the bathroom, okay?" you say.
"I'll be right there, sweetheart."
To get to the bathroom you have to walk past the booth again. With the hurt feeling pounding between your ears and what you suspect might be all eyes on you, you make for one of the two doors. The summer sun and the dry Hawkins heat hits you immediately, a second layering of smothering to wrap around the first. You walk around a rainbow chalk hopscotch and into the shade of the smoking shelter, hands at your collar, breathing hard.
Don't cry, you think firmly. Don't cry. They'll know if you do and that's twice as embarrassing as walking out. Imagine how embarrassed Eddie will feel if you cause a scene.
You sit on the little perch in the shelter and stare at the floor. There's nowhere to look that isn't stingingly bright, the sun in the white-blue sky glaring down on you and the sidewalk bleached a blinding ivory. You close your eyes against it. Your shoulders hunch in protectively. Your hands find their way to your face.
Like a toddler, Gareth said. You press your fingertips into your eyes, fighting against the ache. Is that true? Are you childish in how much you rely on Eddie? You take his hand and his arm, you catch onto his clothes when you're worried, you step behind him when you're overwhelmed.
"Shit," you whisper.
The breeze washing over you does little to cool you down. You must sit there for a handful of minutes, worried and nauseous.
"Hey," Eddie says gently. You flinch despite his best efforts not to startle you.
He looks tall outlined by the sun.
"You okay?" he asks.
"I just wanted some fresh air," you say.
He raises his brows slightly. "That why Gareth just apologised to me?"
You wince as he sits down. All of you wants to sag into his side, but a small voice tells you not to. You stay ramrod straight, hands pressed flat and clammy to your knees.
Eddie gives your elbow a rub. His thumb digs into soft skin and the harder suggestion of cartilage and bone before sliding up. He uses touch often to convey silent reassurement. This seems to say, I don't know what happened, but I'm here.
"I'm fine. We can go back inside," you say, attempting to fool him.
"There's no rush." His voice tips to a low, rough register. He's keyed in to your upset, no doubt about it. "It's a nice day, babe."
He gives you a minute. The small feathering of clouds skirts one edge of the horizon to the other, the shadow of the diner stretching tall as the sun lazes down. You push the worst of your feelings from your mind. It's easy to do with such an unshakeable support at your side, his fingers curling down to your forearm, vying for a hand to hold.
"I heard your friends talking about me. It wasn't all nice," you confess.
"Assholes."
You glance at his face. He has a crease between his brows.
"Well, mostly Gareth. He said that I… act like a kid. A toddler, that I'm too much, at least for him to stand. And don't get me wrong, Eds, I'm not thrilled that they were talking about me, but I guess I…" You take a short breath and look away from him. "I hate that it's true."
"You can be mad when people talk shit. I'm mad," he says. "He said you're like a toddler?" He shuffles closer to you on the bench. "Babe, it's not true, okay? You're not too much. Fuck, we're here to hang out and they can't wait ten minutes to run their mouths–"
"It wasn't like that, it was just Gareth." Gareth's always been the selfish friend.
"He doesn't get a pass for saying something shitty 'cos he's always shitty. I brought you here," —you peek at him, recognising upset in his tone even when it's the barest inkling— "knowing you didn't really want to come because you get so nervous," —he sounds pained for you— "I fucking told him to leave you alone. I said we wouldn't come around if he didn't stop being a mood killer."
You worry at your bottom lip. "Maybe that's kind of his point, Eds. You have to look out for me. You had to ask someone to be nice to me 'cos I can't handle it–"
"You don't have to handle it. The people around you should be nice to you. This isn't high school, you don't have to put up with it, and I told him that." Eddie grabs your arm with the hand that isn't tangled in yours and turns you to face him. "I'm sorry," he says, almost a murmur, "I didn't invite you today to have you humiliated."
You're feeling a little mortified by the passion of his feelings. He's mad at the wrong person, isn't he? "Why are you sorry? I'm the one who clings to you."
"I want you to." Eddie holds your eyes, brown and big and imploring you to listen, the starts of his brows sewing together. "I'm sorry because it's not fair. And because Gareth was a dick to you. And for getting mad." He smiles at you ruefully. "I'm being a dick, too."
"In what world?"
Eddie leans in slowly, giving you enough time to close your eyes as his nose bumps into yours, encouraging your head up to allow for a kiss. He kisses twice, a third time, pulling away to rub your bottom lip.
"Are you really upset?" he asks softly.
You know whatever answer you give him is one he's okay with.
"I feel so embarrassed," you say. "They knew that I overheard them. Now I feel like I'll be constantly worried about how much I'm touching you."
"Well, that's their problem. That doesn't say shit about you," Eddie says, wrinkling his nose.
"I'm really not too much?" you ask. He can likely hear how desperate you are for a kind answer, your throat burning with the effort it takes to stave off tears.
"You've never been too much. I'm the too-much one. You wouldn't even hold my hand when we first started dating, you remember that? We'd go to the movies and you'd get so flustered when I bought your ticket." Eddie's arms wrap around your waist, the breeze ruffling his sweet curls and sending gusts of his smell your way. You're a goner, dropping your face into his shoulder. "Do you remember that?" he asks again, his face slipping down to yours as he hugs you close. "The first time we went to the Hawk together, I went first, and I don't know why you thought you'd have to buy your own ticket but you got all quiet when I got yours, too. I loved that. You know what I loved even more than that?"
You smile, knowing he's going to say something lovely. "What?" you ask.
"I loved how proud you were to sit down with me. You wouldn't hold my hand but you'd put your cheek on my shoulder just like this."
Eddie rubs the tip of his nose against your temple. "I love how much you want to be near me," he says. "It's not childish, is it? If being closer to me makes you feel better, there's nothing wrong with that. Gareth's just jealous 'cos he isn't getting laid."
"That's what Maggie said." You laugh.
"Maggie's a good one. She makes Gareth bearable, kind of."
You feel the stretch of his back under your hands. Your head is pounding from the sudden rush of big emotions, your tongue dry and throat aching, but you don't have a lick of urgency to get up and go back in.
"He's such a dick," you whisper.
Eddie laughs, patting your back. "Such a fucking dick."
"I can't help being a loser and wanting to hug you so much," you say. You're joking now, but it's true all the same.
"I tempt the untemptable," he says agreeably.
You laugh and lift up a bit to hug him harder, your face pressing into his neck.
"You're not a loser," he says more seriously. "You know that, right? What Gareth said, it's not okay, but there's no accounting for idiocy." Eddie sits back on the bench, taking your forearms into his hands for some more soft massaging. "He can think whatever he likes, I'm not the government, but he was wrong, and also it's rude and, again, super shitty of him to do that here. So with your blessing I'm gonna punch him in the face."
"Nooooo," you murmur.
"Very soft no. Taking it for a yes."
"Eddie, you can't hit Gareth."
"He should watch his mouth, then."
You reach up for a second hug. You love that he prioritised how you felt, as well as how eager he is to stick up for you —how mad he is on your behalf.
"He's trying to take this away from me," Eddie says, leaning back under your weight, arms crossing behind your spine. He looks up at you like you've stolen his breath, lips parted and teeth peeking out with his smile.
"Do you really want to punch him?" you ask. You sound very fond.
"I hate that he made you feel bad about yourself. And he irritates me."
"But…"
Eddie hums like he's thinking for a moment. "No, I definitely still want to hit him."
You tuck a curl away from his cheek tenderly. "Thanks for wanting to defend my honour, Eds," you say.
"I'm on your side through everything." He looks ridiculously pretty saying such a ridiculously lovely thing. "That's how we work, right? You're on my side too?"
Your face flushes with heat. "Of course I am, baby."
"Good. Unrelated to our previous conversation, how much money do you have, roughly? In case I need financial aid in the coming days." He drops his voice to a whisper, "How much even is bail lately?"
You cup his cheek. "We can't afford it," you whisper back.
"Typical."

AS SAID BY JASON TODD/ROBIN/RED HOOD *  assorted dialogue from multiple dc universe sources, adjust as necessary
i did it once for dramatic effect and it just got to be a habit.
you can't tell, but i'm dozing off under this mask.
a whole night in paris... and i managed to not kill anyone. not bad.
you made the same mistake everyone does when it comes to me.
i want to warn them... but i know i can't.
don't know, don't care. i got my hands full.
do you remember the last time we were together?
looks like you guys could use a hand!
i'm looking for someone.
i'm afraid it's about to get much worse.
the angry, reckless vigilante bit is my thing.
i'm not good or bad. i'm just practical as hell.
you and i are more alike than you realize.
i get it. starting over is scary as hell.
i don't even need to turn around to know that's you.
thanks for thinking of me. i'm happy to help. honored, even.
i generally have several madness-inducing hallucinations before breakfast.
nothing in the real world can be as frightening as what we can imagine... right?
you don't think i understand what it's like to be abandoned? forgotten?
i'll be damed if my best friend is going to die... because he was dumb enough to trust me.
i'm sorry. i'm never going to be the hero you want me to be.
next time i see you, i'm going to kick your butt for this dying crap.
you have ten seconds to walk way. nine... oh, screw it.
there are better ways to spend your energy.
that looks like it's gotta hurt. well, i say that like i'm speculating or something. i know it hurts.
we chose to be a family.
if there's hope for us... there's hope for everyone.
you still haven't figured it out?
life's just a game... and this time, you lose.
i seem to have made myself an enemy of all the bad guys.
it's too late. you had your chance.
i'm just getting started.
hard to forget that night, huh?
in a way, this was the site of your first great failure.
ah... memories.
you can't stop crime. that's what you never understood.
you want to rule them by fear, but what do you do to those who aren't afraid?
i'm doing what you won't.
i'm taking them out.
now tell me... how does it feel?
is that what you think this is about?
i don't know what clouds your judgement worse. your guilt or your antiquated sense of morality.
i forgive you for not saving me.
he took me away from you.
i am no one's son.
what do you think this was all about?
welcome to planet earth, baby.
fear isn't the answer.
you son of a bitch.
we were friends, helping each other pick up the pieces of our lives.
it might not be a popular thought, but not everyone wants to be alive.
can you hear it?
funny, i actually escaped death.
the past keeps dragging me back.
they're not monsters. they're victims of programming, abuse, and trauma.
they can change.
fact is, they're just like us.
we became something else.
you hurt a lot of people.
we don't discriminate here.
sometimes you don't know what you want 'til you learn what you don't.
trust? you? i'll give it a try. but i'll tell you right now, i'm probably going to screw it up.
guys like us? the life we lead? we're never truly alone.
i have no idea who you people are.
you pompous ass.
before i kill you, i want the truth.
i'd like to think i'm an open-minded guy.
sure it was fun. but does that mean it was right?
sometimes i wonder if i'm just part of the problem.
i'm not doing one more damn mission with them unless you get me someone i can trust to watch my back.
knew you couldn't do it.
it's official. class is in session.

A Long Time Coming
Summary: Going back to the place that started it all as a pair different than before.
Word Count: 5.2k
Tags: Alhaitham x Fem!Reader, Smut, NFSW, MDNI, Modern AU, Childhood Friends AU, Fluff, humor, slight angst, slight dubcon, exhibitionism? kinda? porn with plot, slight yandere alhaitham, mentions of marriage, marriage pressures, pushy family.
Authors Note: This is a small continuation of this basically you take alhaitham back to your parents’ house. I wrote this in a rush to finish it in time for his birthday. Enjoy
Tumblr media
Officially becoming a couple with Alhaitham was as if your world had been flipped upside down, yet not a piece of furniture had been knocked over in the event. That is to say, everything and nothing has changed. Your apartment still housed one, the same workplace banters, the same comfortable silence. Yet, on weekends in your bed lays another body. Under the covers, curious hands roam, and in the air lingered the scent of passion.
However, once the work week started, the two bodies untwine, becoming you and Alhaitham. No one at the office suspected the fresh development between the two of you, not even your new drinking colleagues. Although, Kaveh has noted to you:
“That guy has been walking around much smugger than usual. Like he just completed all the trials of life. Do you think he got a pay increase again?”
The morning after that fateful night while across the kitchen table, there was a firm handshake agreeing to the boundaries of your budding union. Particularly, that under no circumstances shall a certain blond be the first to discover the true nature of this relationship. Once Kaveh knows, then all of Sumeru and Teyvat will know too. Plus, the absolute hysterics he’ll devolve into when he’s the last to know that the two of you were an item will be the show of a lifetime. Great minds think alike after all.
Right now you and Alhaitham were in his rented car on the way to the first big challenge of your relationship: Meeting your parents. Well, that is a bit misleading, your parents already know Alhaitham, they practically were his secondary guardians, often looking after him when his grandmother was busy. Their eyes watched the pair of you grow up as their wrinkles grew.
But things have changed, Alhaitham is no longer just the neighbor's grandson and your childhood friend. He was now going to be introduced as the man you are dating. That fact made you jittery the whole drive, nerves bouncing off the corners of your skull, as you held the basket of fruits Alhaitham had bought as a gift to them.
“The fruits will get bruised if you keep tossing the basket with your legs.” He remarked, never taking his eyes off the road.
“I can’t help it. I’m nervous, Haitham. I don’t know how you’re so calm.” You consciously made the effort to still your leg.
You glanced over at him, taking a moment to admire his side profile, his face and demeanor stoic as ever. Alhaitham, who usually spent the weekends in his comfortable t-shirts and sweatpants, made the effort to wear a crisp black button-down and tailored slacks. You also observed the extra effort he had put into his hair today.
“Simple. I am a familiar face to your parents, and they often commend me for my accomplishments, not to mention my physique.” Large hands firmly grasped the steering wheel as he made the turn down the well-known road.
“Oh? Then why are you all dressed up mmm?” You quirked an eyebrow at him.
“It will serve me well to maintain a good impression.” He swiftly rebutted.
You let out an exasperated sigh while shutting your eyes. If you had a sliver of the self-confidence your former childhood friend had, you’d conquer the corporate world. You faced the road again, basket shifting in your lap as you sank lower into the plush leather seat.
“Remember what I said back in the apartment, absolutely no PDA in front of them. You already know how they are.”
“I am aware.”
His polished car pulled into the driveway of your parent's house, the trees in the front lawn casting a nice shade from the blazing light of the sun. He shifted the stick into park. The gentle rumble of the engine ceased the moment he pulled out the keys. Alhaitham swiftly unbuckled, opened, and exited his car. A resounding thump felt as the driver-side door closed. All the while you fumble with your seatbelt, the oversized basket impeding your dexterity. Then finally the click that signaled freedom just as the passenger-side door unlatched.
“I’ve carried this for long enough. It’s your turn.” You gestured towards the fruit-filled hassle on your lap.
“Alright.” He effortlessly took the basket from your lap with one arm, and the other outreached towards you patiently.
You held back your teasing remark as you accepted his invitation, gently placing your hand in his awaiting palm as he helped you out of your seat. Your heart couldn’t help but flutter at his actions, hoping to control the growing smile on your face when you turned away to close the car door. Your hands swayed together up the pathway to the front door, steps matching.
Your nerves growing as the distance decreased until you were right in front of the lacquered wood. You hastily pulled your hand out of his tender hold, palms getting a bit sweaty.
“Again, no touching in their presence.” You warned once more.
Swiftly you pressed the doorbell, its cheerful chime drowning out any possible response from Alhaitham. From behind the door, you could hear the soft thumps of your mother’s feet against the wooden flooring as she strode up. When you hear the clicks of your mom unlatching the door, you took a side step away from Alhaitham, putting a bit more space between your bodies.
The door flies open.
“Oh! Dear! Our daughter has arrived! With a handsome guest!” Your mom called back towards your dad.
“Is it Alhaitham, honey?” Your father’s voice rang from deeper in the house.
It’s been less than a minute and you already want to sink through the floor in embarrassment. Your face begged to be shielded away from your lover’s prying eyes, despite his stoic face he was definitely enjoying this. Just how many times has your mother praised the sculpted perfection that was his face?
‘It’s just for a few hours, you can power through this. You will survive.’ You repeated this silent mantra in your head.
Tumblr media
Four cups of tea were placed on the living room table, freshly cut fruits taking their place in the center. Your parents both sitting on the opposite sofa from you and Alhaitham. Your lover seated himself comfortably directly in front of your father while you sat at the far opposite end, even placing a throw pillow between you and him as if to create a barrier.
Your mother was chatting nonstop, questioning Alhaitham about every topic she could.
“How has work been, lil Haitham?”
“The usual.”
“Oh my! Have you grown even taller?”
“My last health check-up did not indicate such a thing.” Despite loathing small talk, he answered overall politely in his monotone voice.
“Then… Have you finally found someone special? A lover?” Your mother pressed, eyes twinkling.
During the last question, you were taking a sip of your tea, only to choke when you processed what your mom had just asked.
“Ah, not on the carpet child! It’s brand new!” Your mother chided.
“... You have something to say, little one?” Your dad asked as he handed you a napkin, one brow raised.
Ah, there’s no use in delaying the truth any longer. After all, telling them was the whole purpose of the two-hour drive, with Alhaitham even going through the trouble of renting a car. As if preparing to rip off a band-aid you counted down in your head, prepping your eardrums.
3-2-1
“Alhaitham and I are seeing each other.” You quickly revealed.
Instantly the air was filled with the harmonized gasp of your parents, their hands clutching onto one another and their mouths agape. Their owl-like eyes shiftng between your now red-stained face and your lover’s neutral expression. Expressions morphing from utter shock to disbelief, then finally melting into joy.
“Oh! Dear! The gods have answered our prayers!”
“I know, honey. My faith has been renewed.”
They were right. Somewhere up above, there must be a god amused by your suffering. You wanted nothing more than for the couch to swallow you as your cheeks burned. May if you were to be sucked into some subspace, you can avoid the absolute tidal wave of questions from your mother’s mouth.
“For how long?”
“Ah… for about two months now.”
“How did this happen?”
“L-long story…”
“Have you moved in together?”
“Not yet, mom.”
“What date is the wedding? Planned names for the kids? You should name one after-”
“We are planning to take things slowly-”
“Slowly?!” Your mother’s voice peaked.
Your mom and Kaveh should compete to see who can shatter your eardrums first with their shrills. Your gut churned as you knew what was about to come next.
“You’ve known each other for over sixteen years already, is that not slow enough??”
“I-it’s not the same-”
“Most people your age get married after knowing someone for only a fraction of that time!”
“U-um-”
“Oh, why is my daughter so indecisive? Do you know just how many people would kill for your place? Poor lil Haitham’s youth is being wasted.” Your mother cradled her face in her hand, disappointment evident.
A chill overtook your body. The frosty hands of insecurity ran along the back of your neck, preventing you from choking out a response. Not that you had a good answer anyway.
In fact, you did not have an answer for why you wanted this relationship to move slowly. Were you just scared? Indecisive like your mother just described? More troubling was that Alhaitham also heard your mother’s outburst. From experience, you knew Alhaitham loathed nothing more than things that wasted his time. He is human, his patience is finite.
The atmosphere was tense, despite the beautiful blue sky of Sumeru outside, the room seemed dark and dreary. The cups of tea now growing cold. Deciding to step in from the sidelines, Alhaitham deemed it inappropriate for the conversation to end like this.
“Currently, the geo-political atmosphere has been tense with raising concerns over Snezhnaya. As a result, the economy in Sumeru has been going through a bit of stagflation, not to mention the rapidly inflating prices of houses. As you know, ma’am, I am currently renting out my home to a colleague to cover a portion of the mortgage payment.” He took a sip of tea.
“This is all to say that now is just not the right time.” He finishes, placing the cup back onto the wooden table.
“He’s right, honey.” Your father finally contributed to the conversation.
“Alhaitham and our little one are still young, and the world is turbulent. We shouldn’t be putting more pressure on their shoulders, honey.” Your father reached over to soothe your mother's arms.
“Once the state of the world settles down, please let me ask for your daughter’s hand.” Alhaitham asked while looking sincerely into their eyes, a sign of his respect for them.
The gesture brought a surge of heartwarming pride through your parents. As your mother soon changed gears into singing praises of her prospective future son-in-law, the atmosphere in the room light like the sun outside once more. You looked over at Alhaitham, a thankful and knowing smile gracing your lips as you tuned out your mother.
Many people assume that academically gifted geniuses, such as Alhaitham, lack social and emotional awareness. But the existence of the ashen-haired man beside you shatters that preconceived misconception.
Alhaitham knew how to take control of the situation, he knew how to dispel tension, and how to mediate a difficult conversation. Perhaps he had learned it from his constant observation of strangers, or maybe from the philosophy novels he had browsed.
Your hand began inching towards him along the sofa, heart longing to feel his warmth through your skin, to intertwine your fingers. He shifted his body, increasing the space separating you.
Your hand halted, retreating back to your side shameful like a sinner. You didn’t feel like you had the right to be upset, after all, it was you who told him how distastefully your parents would react to physical displays of affection.
It may be that the opportunity for tender intimacy between you and him came so sparsely. Only two days out of seven could you act on your affections for one another. Yet, here you were deprived of it in the house you and he shared many memories in. It left you with a bitter sting in the heart.
Tumblr media
The bored gods seem to not be able to get enough of the drama playing out in front of them. Because as if scripted, the moment you and Alhaitham tried to bid your goodbyes, your parents began to pester for the pair of you to stay for dinner.
“Little one, your mother and I put so much effort into renovating the place. Don’t you want to see?” Your father's lips frowned.
“I also got up extra early to get the freshest ingredients for supper. Do you not miss our cooking?” Your mom guilt-tripped.
“Well, you see Haitham needs to return the car soon-”
“No, I don’t. I made sure to pay for two days' worth of rental, enough to cover a weekend. Also, it is almost my usual dinner time.” His curt voice answered from behind you.
Your face snapped back towards him, the look of utter betrayal plastered all over your features. Outnumbered three to one now, you had no choice but to cave as your shoulders dropped. The gods must be laughing at your suffering, wanting the comedy to continue.
“We’ll go rest a bit in my room…” You quietly uttered.
“That’s wonderful! Dinner will be ready in about thirty minutes! Your room has been left untouched.” Your mom chimed, smile beaming.
“Yes, yes. We’ll go there now…” You listlessly began the journey up the stairs, Alhaitham right behind.
“Little one.” Your dad called out from the bottom of the steps.
“Yes?”
“The door is to remain open at all times.” He reminded.
“Dad, we’re not kids-”
“House rules.” Your father crossed his arms, stern eyes glancing over Alhaitham and you.
You dropped your head, feeling as if you had reverted back to your teenage years again. Today was really testing your resolve isn’t it?
“Fine.” You huffed, continuing your way up the shiny new stairs.
--
The moment you reached your room, you softly pounded a fist into Alhaitham’s stupidly firm chest.
“Traitor.” You huffed out.
“I can’t help it, your parents’ cooking is too good of an offer to pass up.” He said as if stating the obvious.
“They’re gonna continue with the small talk you know.” You poked.
“I know, but you’ll be at the table too.” He rebutted.
You let out an exasperated sigh. He was going to expertly redirect the conversation towards you, just like how he always did back then. You really just can’t win today. You plopped your tired body onto your old bed, the stack of pillows and plushies shifting out of their positions.
All you’ve done today was sit and talk, yet you felt more exhausted than if you had ran up all 10 stories of your apartment building. You couldn’t wait to go home.
Alhaitham’s teal eyes trailed up your spread form, then around your childhood room. Your room was like a time capsule, with the same wooden desk in the corner, the same unnecessary amount of pillows, and the same scent that was so wholly you. Maybe it was the nostalgia of being in the room the two of you spent so much time in, same open-door rule, his mind began to run through some memories.
All the times you would lay in your bed with shorts that barely covered your ass.
All the times you would press your body against his as he help you with assignments at the desk.
All the times you would run your fingers through his hair and coo ‘smart boy’ after taking your finished homework from his hands.
All the times the scent of you would linger on his clothes as he pressed the fabric against his nose on particularly desperate nights.
His jaw clenched as murky desire began to bubble up inside of him.
Alhaitham thought after the night when you both proclaimed your feelings to each other, that creature lurking over his shoulder would subside. A miscalculation on his part.
The boiling pot of emotions, he had been continuously lifting the lid off to relieve the pressure throughout the last two months, only continued to boil over faster.
The creature only got hungrier, he only got greedier. It wanted to claim you as fully his from the inside out, down to every fiber of your being. Two days out of the week was not enough, it needs more.
Frankly, he thought it was unfair how your essence would taint the rationality of his mind. Isn’t it only fair that he settled the score? To give you a taste of the insanity you put him through.
Quickly taking note of the bustling noises of your parents in the kitchen, preoccupied with the task of supper. The kitchen radio plays old pop songs from the time of your parent’s youth. These details only encouraged him to put his plan into action.
“Hey Haitham, before we leave did you want to check on your grandma’s property?” Your eyes focused on the ceiling.
No response was heard from your ashen-haired lover, as his slow steps closed the distance between your bodies.
“Haitham?-”
Like a falcon swooping down to grasp an unsuspecting hare into its sharp talons, his body pinned yours against the plush bed, lips sealed against yours. The pure shock of it all made you react with a gasp. Never one to miss a window of opportunity, his tongue snaked its way into your mouth. His woodsy scent invades your senses. It’s only been two months since it began, yet your body responded so perfectly, Pavlov could’ve used your reaction to test his theory instead of those dogs.*
Your skin heated up against his, legs shifting to encase his body against yours, muscles going limp under his control. If you were this weak after a simple kiss, Alhaitham needs to take extra precautions to ensure no other person could ever see you like this. The dark glint of lust was evident in his eyes as his hand trailed under your chiffon skirt.
He didn’t have the chance to tell you today, but your choice of a light sweater and long flowy skirt was absolutely endearing. So sweet and innocent, and under him, such easy access to be devoured. To emphasize just how vulnerable you were, his long fingers traced all the way up to outline your folds. Feeling how your cunt twitched in response to his touches over the fabric of your panties. Your mouth was desperately trying to break away, lungs burning with the desire for oxygen.
“Ah- H-haitham?” You whispered out, startled by this uncharacteristic outburst from your lover.
A thread of saliva connected your two lips, as your flushed face looked up at him. His face was stony as ever if it weren’t for that smirk in his eyes. It signaled that he was perfectly aware that his fingers were now pushing your panties aside. Middle finger sliding up and down your slit, purposefully bumping into a certain bundle of nerves towards the top.
“W-wait, here? Haitham, my parents-” You stifled a moan when his finger flicked your button.
“We’re not in their presence at the moment.” He retorted quietly, pressing sweet little kisses against your neck.
“Still!” You harshly whispered.
His finger pressed against your opening, and instinctively your cunt clenched, only to close onto nothing. A slickness began to develop along your slit. It’s been five long days since the last time your poor cunt was given any attention.
“Your body sure is honest.” He tutted.
In your feeble attempt to shift out of his grasp, your cunt only pressed more into his hands, which only served to weaken your resolve. He brought his lips closer to your ear, his deep voice sending a pleasurable shiver down your spine.
“If you really don’t want this, then push against my shoulders. Come now, make up your mind.” This said all the while he rubbed slow circles into your clit.
You could hear the faint clattering of pots and pans coming from downstairs along with the pounding of your heartbeat in your ears. You had put on such a big show in front of your lover about the rules, and yet here you were so needy after him. You hated how greedy your body had become for him, nerves kicking into overdrive and skin prickling as his hot breath brushed against it.
You turned your head to the side, ashamed of how quickly your resolve had crumbled.
“Good girl. Open your mouth.” He cooed, bringing two fingers up to your lips.
Your pouty gaze met his as you granted his fingers access, they fluttered along your tongue. Gathering your spit as they did before he pulled them back out.
“I want to test my efficiency.” He lazily observed his glistening fingers.
Oh, the desire in the pit of your stomach leaped at his words. As his hands pulled your body towards the edge of the cramped bed. Effortlessly flipping you over so that your plush ass was now facing him, your face pressed against the sheets.
“Try to be quiet.” He pushed the fabric of your skirt over your ass, revealing your soft mint panties. ‘So you were expecting something.’
Angling your hips up as he knelt at the side of your bed, your cunt was now fully on display for him. The greedy thing twitching with anticipation each time his cool exhales hit its hot skin. In one fluid motion, his wet tongue swiped up along your folds as his thumbs spread them apart. Quickly you bite into the sheets, praying that it would silence your voice. With practiced precision, his tongue instantly attacked your aching bud, stroking it, rolling it, and flicking it with his wet muscle.
Your hips would’ve been bucking wildly if it weren’t for the firm hold Alhaitham had on them. Your slick was now spilling out onto his awaiting tongue mingling together with his spit as they began to drip down his chin. His tongue continued to assault your swollen bud as your teeth ground against the sheets, fighting to keep down your moans.
All the while your parents remained blissfully unaware of the beast they’d let into their home that was currently doing unspeakable things to their daughter.
You felt your eyes begin to roll to the back of your head as you felt that familiar white heat approaching, tension so close to snapping. It would only take 1-2-3 more flicks of his- It all stopped. A whine almost ripped through your throat at the sudden loss of his tongue as he pulled away.
Wiping his mouth with the back of his hand as he stood back to his full towering height. The pressure in his pants screams to be relieved. Who was he to deny himself such simple pleasures? Swiftly undoing his belt and pushing down his boxers, the raging length eager to bury its thick girth into your willing walls.
You couldn’t help but wiggle your hips a bit, egging him on to give you what you’ve been craving more than any food. The glaze of his tip against your twitching hole was the only warning you got before his hips snapped against yours. The momentum so great it caused the sheets to slip out from your teeth, a loud moan on the cusp of escaping if it weren’t for Alhaitham’s hand swiftly grasping your mouth.
Your walls welcomed the familiar stretch, clenching and releasing as if they were placing wet kisses along his length. He wasted no time in beginning his brutal pace against your hips, each thrust rocking both your body and the poor bed. Your brain was too preoccupied with pleasure to even worry about the creaking, drool beginning to collect in his hand.
He already knew where all your weak spots were. And he knew exactly which angle his hips needed to be in order to hit them in the way that made your eyes go to the back of your pretty little head. So that’s what he did. As he felt your slippery walls clamp down tighter with each intentional thrust. Tears of ecstasy were rolling down his hand from your eyes, firm grasp vibrating with every blocked moan that clawed against it.
Those dark thoughts danced along the edge of his mind again as he criticized his past self for being so foolish. If he had known you were this weak to pleasure, then he would have done this ages ago. He would have taken you against that desk in your little short shorts, making a mess of the papers. He could have made it so much more efficient.
Alas, the past is the past with no bearing on the present. And right now he was absolutely wrecking you against your old bed. He had taken a winding path, but it still lead to the same place in the end.
Your walls suddenly became impossibly tight as the convulsions of your orgasm shot through your body, eyes disappearing to the back of your head. Alhaitham had to bite back a moan as he felt your pulsing walls try to milk him. As much as he would have loved to spill everything inside of you, right now was not the right time.
Perhaps in the future, you will beg over and over again for him to fill you with the essence of him.
Quickly pulling out, his hand letting go of your hip to give his length the last few strokes to the finish line. Cumming along the curve of your ass, watching as the thick liquid stuck to your skin. Your cunt was still shaking as you slowly descend down from cloud nine.
He felt confident enough to release your mouth from his hand. Your ears filled with the sound of your pants overlapping each other until-
“Dinner is ready!”
Your body froze as you turned to face your lover with wide eyes, only to be greeted by the sight of his impassive face. As if he had already predicted this was going to happen at this very moment.
Ah… The bastard timed this out, didn’t he?
Swiftly Alhaitham took some tissues from the desk to wipe both you and himself down. Pulling your panties back into place you fussed over your skirt and hair in the mirror, trying to make yourself look as presentable as possible. While Alhaitham tucked himself back into his slacks, buckling up his belt again.
On your way down the stairs, your mother raised an eyebrow at your trembling legs as your frame followed behind your lover.
“What happened?”
“Um, I stubbed my toe against the desk again.”
“Ah, you hopeless child.” She tsked.
--
After the food was cleared out, plates cleaned, and lacquered table swiped down, your parents quickly suggested that the two of you stay for the night.
This time Alhaitham firmly turned down the invitation, he must have reached his conversational limit for the month.
Waving goodbye to your parents from the passenger seat as they stood under the porch light, a great stress was finally lifted from your shoulders. You were finally released from the torment of the gods.
Looking over at the man driving beside you, you observed how his eyes also seemed more relaxed. Hands holding the steering wheel in a loose grip as he drove just a bit above the speed limit.
“Finally had enough?” You taunted.
“My ears are still ringing.”
Tumblr media
Freshly showered and tucked under the soft covers of your own bed, finally away from the prying eyes of the world. It was only you and him now in the little world of your own called your apartment. Even with the thin walls and sometimes broken water heater, it was a safe haven neither of you would ever trade up.
The rhythm of your matching breaths provided the room with ambiance, his hand toying around with your left ring finger. A box was currently hidden in a drawer at his home. The jewels once dawned by his grandparents, then his parents, now one day the box his grandmother had left him will have the honor to meet you.
Meanwhile, your thoughts were consumed by the echoing of your mother’s words back in the living room. It would have been so much easier if it was just a dramatic outburst, but the semblance of truth in her words gripped your mind. If you hoped for a peaceful night of rest, then you needed answers from the source currently cradling your hand.
“Do you feel that my mom’s words from earlier are true? You… you have already given me sixteen years, yet I asked for more time… am I being greedy?” Your other hand hesitantly traced the veins that ran along the back of his hand.
A silence fell over the two of you as if the winds of Dragonspine had just touched time and froze it.
But his chest was still rhythmically raising and falling, your heart still drumming in your ears. With every beat passing, you feel the icy hands of doubt creep up your back, they were choking you, making you feel a sting in your eyes.
‘I am wasting his time.’
The shifting of his large frame snapped time back into place as he tenderly pressed his forehead against yours as if to ground you from your running thoughts. Pulling away slightly for his teal eyes to hold your gaze. In a gentle whisper, his deep voice resonated in your ears.
“It doesn’t matter. For I’ve already decided that in exchange for the rest of your life, I will devote the rest of mine. So, whether it be three, five, or ten years it matters not to me. In comparison to a lifetime, those numbers are insignificant. ”
His hand continued to caress your ring finger.
“I am a lot more patient than you think.”
In the span of your entire existence together you had always been the one with the most words, the first to break the warm silence, and the first to jest.
Yet, in sporadic moments there are times when Alhaitham would string together words from his vast vocabulary that would leave you speechless. This was one of those moments.
When words cannot be used then action must come in. With wet drops collecting in the corner of your eyes you pulled Alhaitham’s lips into a chaste kiss, so soft yet so full of love. Arms interweaving to bring your two bodies into one whole, warm being.
“Although, for the sake of your ideal wedding. You might want to have it happen when my body is still fit enough to carry you down the aisle. Of course, I’ll maintain this form for the foreseeable future.” He whispered next to your ear.
“Oh hush, since when did you start cracking jokes, Haitham?” You were smiling as warmth dripped down your cheeks.
Let your mother nag until her voice fades. Let the years slip through your fingertips. Let the economy go to absolute waste. Those future worries be damned.
All that mattered right now, in this singular instance, was that you were in his arms and him in yours.

My [15M] rival [15/50M] has been weirdly aggressive towards me ever since he lost his memories for the second(?) time. Should I be worried about him trying to kill me again?
Summary
A post on r/relationship_advice by u/Chili_Dog1991
EDIT 1: Stop saying I'm Sonic I'm not.
EDIT 2: Okay I am Sonic. I don't see how that matters.
EDIT 3: Stop trying to figure out which of my rivals this is.
EDIT 4: Stop telling me to contact the police about his attempts to murder me or his age. It's complicated in regards to his age but he's essentially 15 and I can already defend myself way better than the police can in regards to his murder attempts. Also the police would probably try to arrest me too because they're either useless or make things actively worse.
EDIT 5: Stop DMing me to ask how murder attempts can be fun. I shouldn't have to explain this.
EDIT 6: Stop implying I'm a masochist.
EDIT 7: Stop implying I'm an adrenaline junkie. If I just wanted adrenaline I've got tons of other people who could give me that.
EDIT 8: To everyone who actually responded with advice, thank you. I attempted to talk to him about it, we fought again, and it turns out he's been acting aggressive because he doesn't know how to show affection so he just defaults to violence. We ended up holding hands after we physically couldn't fight anymore. It was a great night and I think we're together now.
EDIT 9: Which of you motherfuckers sent this to Tails.
ORIGINAL POST
Hi everyone, using a throwaway account to make this post because my little brother knows my main and the embarrassment would kill me if he ever saw this.
So for context, I've known this guy for a while now, at least in the context of my life. I've got a pretty hectic life and I'm a traveler, so I've met a lot of people and he's one of the few that's been able to keep up with me. Our first meeting was during a bit of a stressful time because he kind of inadvertently framed me for thievery (we look kinda alike and the police are stupid, it's not his fault but I was pretty pissed at the time) and got me arrested, so we ended up fighting about it in the middle of the street. I'm used to fighting and pretty good at it, so it was a surprise when he turned out to be basically my equal at it, which is pretty rare even among my other rivals. He got the upper hand on me for long enough that the police were able to arrest me again. I was pretty mad but also impressed. Our second meeting was even more stressful because I had just got out of jail after being arrested for the second time, and I was still angry about it so we fought again. I was about to win but then it turned out we were both in danger along with some friends of mine so we both left as fast as we could. Both of these times I could tell he was taking the fight seriously, but I could also tell he wasn't trying to KILL ME kill me. Y'know?
Anyway, in our next meeting he was definitely trying to kill me. Outright said it to my face. I won that fight thankfully, and I'm not even angry about it because a lot of people have tried to kill me over the years and also he has some kind of goal I was getting in the way of, and he didn't even succeed. He ended up changing his mind about that goal though, and when we next saw each other we were on the same side trying to deal with a mutual threat.
And it was at that point I kind of realized I was in love. I've never really wanted a relationship because I thought it would get in the way of my lifestyle, but with this guy specifically it wouldn't be a problem. I would have told him about it, but then I thought he died and I didn't see him for a while. I wasn't too broken up about it because we only knew each other for a couple days, but I was still sadder than I thought I would have been.
He ended up coming back to life though, and he had lost his memories for the second time in his life (long story I'm not gonna get into) and he didn't really remember me anymore. I know from a mutual friend of ours that he remembered me well enough to be annoyed by my name, which made me irrationally happy, and I think he did end up getting his memories back, but when we first saw each other he definitely didn't know who I was. We fought again, it was a tie, and then we ended up teaming up to take down a mutual enemy again.
Things have been a bit less chaotic since then. We've fought a couple more times but nothing serious, he's saved my life, I've saved his, you know how it goes. We haven't really talked about anything that happened, but that's fine because neither of us have ever been much for verbal communication and we understand each other just fine. I've tried getting over my crush on him, but that's never really worked because we see each other a lot due to our lifestyles and we have some mutual friends in common, and I like spending time with him anyways, even if we're just beating each other up most of the time.
Personality wise, he's basically my polar opposite, but we get on pretty well despite that. I think aside from my general attraction to danger and his ability to match me in a fight and a race that might be the main thing that draws me to him. I've got a lot of friends, but never one so different from me and yet so similar. He's just always been special to me.
But the main reason I'm making this post is because despite all we've been through, he still acts like we're enemies at worst and temporary allies at best. We fight almost every time we meet unless something less serious is going on, and he's pretty grumpy and mean to me all the time. I like this about him, but it does make me question if he even sees me as anything more than a rival, and I don't know how to ask him because we don't talk about weird emotional stuff. I also think that asking him directly could maybe lead to another murder attempt, which would be fun, but it's not what I'm looking for anymore. I don't mind all the fighting, but just once I'd like to kiss him on the mouth instead of punching his teeth in, y'know?

darling.
yandere!sung jinwoo x bi!fem.reader x yandere!cha hae-in
warnings: violence; ooc hae-in and jinwoo, i’m so sorry.
dedicated to @starzgaze
{ i want to ruin our friendship; we should be lovers instead. }
anonymous said: Helloo!! I don't know if you're willing to do a request but I was thinking an Jinwoo x reader x cha hae in since the reader is bisexual (I can't blame the reader if she's attracted to both of them Because I am too HUHU) although they don't know that they're crushes where Yanderes this whole time KABSKAKSJ :>
once you finished organizing all the reports for the chairman, you hear the older man thanking you for your time as he allowed you to go home for the rest of the day. you smile at chairman go gunhee, reassuring him that it was no trouble helping him at all as you stepped out of his office with a bounce in your step.
lately, the appearance of high leveled gates had become far and few in between. there seemed to be more peaceful days piling on as the hunters and healers alike were given little to do during such a time.
and the cause of this sudden decrease in raids?
a competition between the two most powerful guilds in all of seoul, korea-
the hunters guild vs ahjin guild.
despite being good friends with two of the most prominent members of each guild, (hae-in and jinwoo, respectively), you hadn’t the slightest clue why they were so competitive.
regardless of their reasoning, neither you or your fellow hunters and healers complained. after all, they were doing a great service, making all these gates disappear while restoring peace back to the entire nation within mere days.
as you were heading out of the association building, you felt the hairs stand up at the back of your neck. you had a strange sensation of being watched. your heart was felt pounding with anticipation… and before you could turn around to face whoever was watching you-
the sudden scent of vanilla fills your senses, feeling cha hae-in running up to you while letting out a soft coo of your name. “hello… i’ve missed you!”
her sudden affection and desire to be close to you was a bit out of character from how she usually was, you knew that as a fact. before you ever transferred to korea’s hunter association branch, she was known as being standoffish and aloof, never once getting close to civilians or other hunters since she had such a sensitive sense of smell.
you knew about her mana sensitivities and kept your distance from her out of respect the moment you transferred. however, it all changes when she actually came face to face with you. a dreamy expression would paint her features, and she would come closer to you, literally sniffing at your blouse when she giggles and says, “you smell so good… like sweet cinnamon rolls… just so sugary sweet…”
her comment about the scent of you and your mana makes you feel flustered as you simply thanked her, which was the moment she had proclaimed herself as your best friend.
hae-in giggles while deeply inhaling your scent, basking in it for a few moment before clinging to you. “hey, how about we have another slumber party! it’ll be my treat!”
“huh? hae-in, we had one just a few days ago… are you not tired of seeing me?”
“not at all! come on, the gates haven’t been appearing as much thanks to how well i have been doing, and i want to spend more time with you.” hae-in giggles while clinging to your arm.
you join her in her laughter, actually not minding having so many slumber parties with her since it was quite fun. whether it be having a movie marathon, or gaming with her while enjoying takeout and snacks, you liked spending time with her… maybe even as more than friends.
as you smile back at hae-in and ask about what she would like to get as takeout, you were unaware of the almost victorious expression on her face, her eyes glowing a bright golden hue as she sneered back at the hunter with startling, purple eyes filled with envy.
{ … }
sung jinwoo had tried to kill cha hae-in many times, seeing as though she were the sole threat when it came to obtaining your heart.
but unfortunately for him, the woman was persistent and powerful in her own ways. when she felt threatened, even feeling the tiniest chance of being ripped away from you-
that was when her claws were revealed to him.
he clutches the sharp dagger in his hand, knowing that if he just aimed the weapon slightly to his left, then he would be able to pierce through hae-in’s skull-
however, he did not wish to traumatize you.
it was ultimately the love he had for you that stops him from going through with his plans of killing hae-in right then and there-
you, being as innocent as ever, were completely unaware of the ongoing war he and hae-in shared. ever since he first caught sight of you, accidentally bumping into you as he helped you gather your belongings and get you back on your feet-
jinwoo knew that he was a goner.
he spent countless days and even hours following you, knowing that placing his soldiers within your shadow wouldn’t be enough for him.
(it was never enough for him.)
taking advantage of his powers, he made it his life’s mission to remain ever so close to you, doing all that he could to woo you with various gifts while taking you out on various dates-
however, she would always get in the way of him.
each time he purchases a nice bouquet for you, the next minute, he would find it sabotaged and ripped to shreds.
each time he would try to speak to you and ask you out on a date, hae-in would appear at the most inappropriate times and steal you away from him-
a feat that always manages to make his blood burn with hatred for cha hae-in.
he tried to get rid of her; tried numerous times to rip her heart out so that she could never breathe the same air as you ever again-
but he couldn’t do it.
the woman was far too strong-
and her love for you matched with his.
(a fact that he had to admit and accept in a rather begrudging manner.)
he hated how natural and easy it was for hae-in to get closer to you. being a naturally born woman meant that she was able to steal your attention under the guise of being your “sole best friend.”
whereas jinwoo had to use his shadow soldier’s eyes to watch you sleep-
that damn woman had the pleasure of sharing her bed with you each time she held a ‘sleepover.’ and jinwoo could feel such feelings of envy filling him to the brim as he had to bite down on his tongue to contain his rage, nearly tasting the coppery sensation of his blood from how close he was to biting his tongue off-
but he digressed.
despite all odds, sung jinwoo and cha hae-in were evenly matched-
and if he couldn’t obtain you by getting rid of her, then he’d just have to use the element of surprise…
{ … }
you were currently in hae-in’s apartment, laughing while telling stories with her as she began to paint your nails.
to be honest, she was awful at painting your nails, with each paint stroke of polish leaving an obvious streak against the skin surrounding your cuticles. when she finishes with applying the polish on your last nail, you had to fight back a giggle.
“ah, it seems as though i found the gorgeous and powerful hae-in’s weakness… nail polish.”
weak words of protests fall from her lips, but internally she was screaming with unbidden joy. you called her gorgeous! she’s gorgeous to you!
you continue to softly giggle and take her hand, not even bothering to wait for your own polished nails to dry as you slowly showed her how to paint nails in a more neater manner.
“okay, so always try to follow the curve at the end of your cuticles. it takes a lot of practice, but it’s so satisfying once such a perfect color is put on your nails!”
hae-in made tiny sounds of affirmation, seeming to give you random nods here and there. in all actuality, her face was darkened in a deep red hue, feeling ecstatic and on cloud 9 upon feeling your hand holding on to hers.
within just 20 or so minutes, you finished polishing hae-in’s nails, placing a top coat on it so that it could look shiny and dry faster. you admire your work for a few more minutes before letting her hand go-
only to feel your body being pushed against her mattress.
“eh…? hae-in?” your eyes go wide when hae-in looks down at you with glowing, golden eyes. she lets out a purr of your name all while framing at your face with her two hands.
“you know… we’ve been best friends for a while, right?” hae-in gently caresses at your features, her full lips inching ever so closely to you as you could feel her hot breath on your skin.
“ah, yes, we have…”
the gorgeous blond woman lets out a sigh before pressing a kiss against your cheek, an unexpected touch of affection that causes your heart to race uncontrollably in response.
your whisper of her name was filled with anticipation when hae-in leans closer to you. “best friends like you and i need to know each other’s tastes, right…? you would agree with such a sentiment… right my pretty little darling?”
“u-uhm…!” you couldn’t respond, your mind spinning as hae-in leaned closer and closer to your lips, ready to capture them as you clenched your eyes shut-
but the sensation of her kiss never came.
instead, all you felt was the way the air became much colder, causing you to open your eyes as a scream was heard coming from your parted lips.
a tall, looming shadow swiftly brings down a dagger against hae-in, but her senses were too sharp as she captures the weapon with her hand.
a flash of anger twists her beautiful face, her fury evident as she spat out his name “sung jinwoo, don’t you realize how close you were to hurting my darling girl?!”
“SHE WOULD HAVE BEEN FINE HAD YOU STAYED IN PLACE!” jinwoo roars at hae-in, ripping her body away from you as he slams the woman down on the ground.
the polishes fall against the floors of hae-in’s bedroom in the midst of their scuffle, spilling various colors against the hardwood as it stains at them. your heart was racing, seeing the two most powerful hunters in all of existence fighting each other-
fighting for you.
fighting over you.
you kept seeing flashes of gold and purple clashing together, with jinwoo’s daggers trying to pierce at hae-in, yet she manages to parry each of his cuts with her sword.
you had to do something to stop this madness, but all you felt was an overwhelming sense of dread consuming you.
you adored basking in hae-in and jinwoo’s friendship, and you felt ashamed to admit it, but you developed feelings for both of them…
you never wished to lose either one of them, choosing instead to balance on the cusp of friendship and romance with them. it was hard, keeping them always at an arm’s length away-
and now, they were both going to kill each other-
you were going to lose them both if you didn’t do something now.
“jinwoo, hae-in, PLEASE STOP!”
the desperation was heard in your voice, and it echoes throughout the room. as if awakened from a trance, jinwoo and hae-in stopped their attacks on each other, eyes going dreamy as they moved away from each other. an almost longing sigh of your name was heard coming from them as they dropped their respective weapons and crawled toward you.
“oh no, my darling is afraid.”
“she’s so scared of losing me.”
“i love her, i need to comfort her and tell her that everything will be okay.”
“she’s so sweet and cute… i need to comfort her…”
your breathing becomes labored when jinwoo and hae-in both join you on the bed. they continue to whisper about their devotion to you, completely forgetting the fact that they had just tried to kill each other mere seconds before as they both surrounded you.
jinwoo places your body on top of his while wrapping his arms around your frame.
hae-in opts to remain behind you, practically sandwiching you between her and jinwoo as you shivered at feeling both of their bodies so close to you. unable to respond, you could only remain still when jinwoo and hae-in began littering your throat and neck with heated kisses, all while proclaiming their love for you.
rejoice, for you had captured the hearts of the two most powerful hunters in the world!
or perhaps… a warning for you would be more appropriate… since it will be difficult for you to escape from the intensity of their love unscathed…

Synopsis: Y/N hates Chris with every fiber in her body, but one night while clubbing things take a turn🤭
Warnings⚠️: SMUTTTTTT, hate sex?? Fucking in a public place, enemies to lovers-ish??? Mann idk it’s just sum sweet for the kids (hope yall know that meme. I do not write for kids)🤞🏽
Song for the imagine: Rude Boy- Rihanna
⚠️This is an 18+ imagine, so minors do not interact, or do??⚠️
I like the way you touch me there
I like the way you pull my hair
Babe, if I don’t feel it I ain’t faking no, no
Can’t remember the last time Chris and I ever got along. He was such a fucking dick always, and I was a bitch. Everyone tried to keep us apart most of the time.
I wasn’t exactly too sure why I hated him. It could be the fact that he thought he was untouchable, hot and his ego was bigger than his fuck ass hair. I really had it out for the guy
I hate any guy who acts like they’re all that, and that their shit doesn't stink. It made my blood boil because who are you? You're a nobody go away. Chris was the textbook definition of this
Actually Chris was the definition of toxic masculinity. Every ick a guy could give you was exactly what Chris was. If some of these girls knew half of who he really was they’d leave his ass in the dirt.
I was Nicks friend, but he came as a package deal with his loving sweet brother Matt, and that fucking gremlin Chris. Usually my interactions with him included me rolling my eyes at him, huffing at his words and full on walking away while he was in the middle of speaking. Because it’s like shut the fuck up, you know?
Tonight Nick asked me to come to the club with them because Nick really wanted to dance. Weird ass request but I agreed…it’s dancing with Nick I had to go
I had gone to the triplets house while they were all getting ready. I let myself in, and walked to Nicks room where Matt and Chris were also at
“Hiii” I said walking in
“Ughhhh” Chris said groaning and throwing his head back
“Shut the fuck up” I said throwing my purse at him
“Why are you always tagging along” he said
“In case you didn’t know Nick invited me first, and then I presumed you were being an ass eater and had to come too” I said giving him a bitchy smile
“Whatever” he said rolling his eyes
“Exactly” I said laughing at him
“Mattttt you look so cute” I said looking at his outfit
“Thank youuu” he said smiling at me
“And me?” Chris asked
“Who gives a fuck about you” I said giving him a dirty look
“Y/N what color shirt?” Nick asked me holding up two shirts a purple one and a green one
“Purple all the way” I said to him
“Great minds think alike” he said nodding at me, and walked to the bathroom to put the shirt on
“Y/N thinking? Who would’ve thought” Chris said scoffing
“You’re lucky you’re nicks brother because if not I would’ve laid your ass out by now” I said looking at him
“Guys no fighting” Matt said
“Yeah sure…” Chris said scoffing
“You don’t know my past, I beat up guys like you” I said looking at him
“Whole lot of yapping shut it” Chris said kicking my back
“You fucking dick that hurt” I said reaching back and pinching his leg
“Ow you bitch” he said pulling his leg away
“Enough fighting for once holy shit” Nick said coming out of the bathroom
“Tell your dog of a brother to chill out before I clock his shit” I said to Nick
“Chris be nice for once” Nick said looking at him
“I’ll try, but I can’t make no promises” he said smiling
We had all piled into their car, and headed downtown to the clubs. When we arrived we walked to the one that looked the safest for Nick and I.
We headed in and found a table to sit at in the back. We ordered some drinks, and once we drank them Nick and I went up to the dance floor to dance
We were dancing to Pour it Up by Rihanna singing and dancing on each other.
“THROW IT THROW IT UP WATCH IT FALL OUT” we screamed as we danced
Once the song ended we headed back to the table
“Fuck I love dancing” I said sitting down and drinking my water
“Me fucking too” Nick said catching his breath
All of a sudden Bottoms Up started playing
“FUCKKKK THIS IS MY SHIT” Nick and I screamed
We had gotten up and danced to the song for like two minutes before needing another break.
We sat back down, and was bopping to the song
Right as it got to Nicki’s part Nick started recording, and turned the camera on me, so I started rapping
“I’m with a bad bitch, he’s with his friends” I said pointing over to Chris, and Nick recorded it
“I don’t say hi, I say keys to the Benz” I said sticking my hand out at Chris
Nick started recording Chris and Matt and himself, and then flipped it back to me
“YELLIN all around the world, do you hear me? DO YOU LIKE MY BODY? ANNA NICKI” I said rubbing my hands all over my body
Nick finished recording and posted it to his instagram story, and by this point Rude Boy by Rihanna started playing
“WE HAVE TO DANCE” I said to Nick
“I’m sooo tired I’ll get the next one” he said fanning himself
“Chris?” I asked him randomly, he looked at me before nodding, and following me to the dance floor
I started singing to him
“Come here rude boy, boy, can you get it up?” While swaying my hips
He pulled me in whispering in my ear
“Be careful how you sing at me” he said
“Don’t flatter yourself rude boy” I said winking at him
I went to walk away, but he pulled me back slamming my back against his
“You want to dance, so fucking dance” he said sternly sending a shiver down my spine. I wonder if this was the three drinks I had making me feel this way
He held me by stomach against him while I grinded up against him, and he followed his hips with mine
I spun around swaying my hips and dragging my hands down his body as I went lower, and then came back up swaying my hips while looking into his eyes
“You’re sexy as fuck when you do that” he said leaning in
“I must be mistaken, is Chris Sturniolo being nice to me?” I said turning around and grinding against him again
“Don’t push your luck baby” he said gripping my waist
I continued to sway my hips against hip, and let my head fall back onto his shoulder
I looked over at him, and he was looking at me already
“Kiss me I know you want to” I said with a smirk
Suddenly Chris lips crashed to mine, and we began to have a heated make out session as he ran his hands up and down my body as we danced
Soon we pulled away, and I looked at him before walking off the dance floor and heading back to the table
“What the fuck was that?” Matt asked shocked
“I have no fucking idea” I said closing my eyes and shaking my head
“Still hate me?” Chris said walking up from behind me
“Shut up…you got lucky” I said looking at him
“I’m going to the bathroom” I said walking away
I got to the bathroom, and there was only two girls ahead of me, it was a single stall
When it was my turn, as soon as I got in and locked the door I heard banging on the door. I unlocked it and opened it seeing Chris
“What the fuck?” I said, and before I could react Chris shoved his way into the bathroom locking the door behind him
“You hate me so much just fuck me already” he said walking over to me
“Why would I fuck you?” I said rolling my eyes
“You don’t look at me, touch me and kiss me like that and think it’s fine” he said
“Come on then Chris I can take you” I said smirking at him
He ran up to me crashing our lips together, and slamming me against the wall with a thud
We began to make out sloppy, my hands raking through his hair and him grabbing my body harshly with want and need
“Getting handsy are we?” I said pulling away
“Stop being a tease already” he said rolling his eyes
“Where’s the fun in that” I said
“Fuck I hate you so much” he said biting his lip and smashing his lips to mine again
Going down to my neck leaving sloppy wet kisses
“Fuck Chris” I moaned out throwing my head back against the wall
“We have to be quick” he said coming back up to look at me
“Yeah okay” I said in bliss
Chris hiked my dress up, and unbuckled his belt sliding his pants and boxers down enough for his dick to spring out
“Such a slut, letting me fuck you in here” he said slipping his hand into my underwear rubbing my clit
“Fuck Chris” I moaned out looking into his eyes
“Just fuck me already, I hate you I don’t want this to go on longer than it needs to” I said through gritted teeth
“You might hate me, but you’ll love this dick” he said smirking at me
“Arrogant fuck” I said
“Annoying bitch” he said back
He lifted up my right leg, bring his dick to my entrance and slowly inserting himself into me
“Shiitttt” I moaned out wrapping my hands around his neck
He lifted both my legs up completely holding me up against the wall by fucking into me
“Mmm for someone who hates me so much you sure are taking my dick well” he said moaning out
“Just because I hate you doesn’t mean you’re not hot” I said moaning and licking my lips
“Oh she thinks I’m hot” he said
“If you weren’t balls deep in me right now I would’ve smacked the shit out of you” I moaned out throwing my head back
“Play nice baby” he said thrusting into me faster and harder
“Fuckkk Chris this feels so good” I said
“You feel so good around me baby” he moaned out
Chris was thrusting into me at an ungodly pace, and I hope no one was outside waiting for this bathroom
“All it takes was for my dick to be in you to get you to play nice” he said cockily
“You’re lucky your dick game is strong because I hate you so fucking much right now” I said
“The feelings mutual babe, nothing new here” he said huffing out
“Shut the fuck up” I said
“You’re so annoying” he said back
Chris started to pound into me even harder causing my eyes to roll to the back of my head, and my mouth to fall slack
“I’m going to cum holy shit” I moaned out letting my head fall forward
“Yeah baby cum on my cock. I know it’s all you’ve ever wanted” he said with a cocky grin
“Don’t boost your ego” I panted out
He kept pounding into me, and I started to clench down on him. My toes pointing in my shoes and my thighs beginning to shake
“FUCKKKK IM CUMMINGGG” I screamed out allowing my thighs to shake, and my pussy to clench around Chris cock
I was coming down from my high, my eyes still shut, my mouth still open and my breathing heavy.
Chris pulled out and helped me down on the ground. Pumping his cock in his hand, and suddenly he came into his hand his lower abdomen constricting and his brows furrowing as his mouth fell slack
“Fuck Y/N” he said fucked out
I had fixed my underwear and slid my dress back down
“I still fucking hate you” I said looking in the mirror and fixing myself up
“I fucking hate you too don’t worry” he said pulling his pants up with his other hand, and coming over to wash his hands
“Friends with benefits?” I asked him
“Only if we’re only fucking each other” he said drying his hands
“Ohhh territorial?” I asked him
“You’re mine” he said
“I thought you hated me?” I asked
“Oh I do, don't get it twisted” he said fixing his belt
“Mmm sounds like you have a crush” I said fixing my makeup
“Do not” he said rolling his eyes
“It’s okay Chris I have a crush too” I said winking at him
“I don’t like you” he said rolling his eyes at me
“Yeah keep telling yourself that….” i said getting ready to leave the bathroom
I had unlocked the door, and shockingly nobody was waiting. I walked out, and Chris followed after. Coming up behind me grabbing my hand and interlocking our fingers
“Mmmm but no crush?” I asked him
“Don’t push it” he said giving me a stern look
We got back to the table and Nick and Matt were looking at us with smirks on their face
“Hope yall fucked the hate out” Matt said
“Mmm fucked, but the hates still there” I said shrugging my shoulders
“Yall are absolute dogs” Nick said laughing
“What can I say” Chris said shrugging his shoulders
We had decided to head out, and head home. For someone who hates me Chris sure did enjoy having me staying in his room that night…..
The End
Alright guys I hope you enjoyed this one because I sure did……am I becoming a Chris girl??? LMAOO HELL NAH I KNOW WHERE HOME IS I LOVE YOU MATT🧎🏽‍♀️🖤

monster among men
Tumblr media
“It's only two to three times a week, Y/n. It's not that bad, I mean would you rather patrol with Snape? He's a greasy git, unlike Regulus Black, have you even looked at him? He's bloody fit!” One of Y/n's friends, Mary MacDonald, gushed as she looked over at the Slytherin table.
Y/n rolled her eyes at the brunette, “He is not fit, Mary.”
Marlene McKinnon scoffed, “Are you daft? Or are you just blind?”
“What do you two even see in that git? He's annoying, self-centered, pompous, and arrogant.”
“Well, yeah, but look at his face!” Marlene jerked her head towards the Slytherin table. Y/n rolled her eyes, “No thanks, I'd rather gouge my eyes out.”
“So stuck up, Y/n.” Mary chuckled, shoveling a spoonful of mashed potatoes in her mouth, making Y/n scrunch her nose.
“He just looks like Sirius, what's so special about him?” Y/n grumbled, taking a glance at the Slytherin table.
“Sirius looks like a bad boy, while Regulus, he looks like he was carved by the gods. Yeah, they look alike, but Regulus has much more defined facial structures. Have you seen that jawline? Merlin, I think it could cut my finger if I touched it.” Marlene explained, eyeing Y/n as if she was a first year.
“That is if he'd let you touch him.” Y/n chuckled, “That git's more sensitive than Sirius.”
“Speaking of Sirius,” Mary started, her voice lower than what it was before, “Do you think he's okay that you're partnered with his brother? I mean, Sirius is like your brother too at this point.”
“You think he can persuade Professor McGonagall to pair me up with someone else? No, he can't, making his opinion invalid. Even if he isn't okay with it, he doesn't really have a say in it.” Y/n sighed, reaching for a treacle tart, “But if he could, it would be absolutely amazing, but I wouldn't get my hopes up.”
After the little incident in the Prefect's compartments, Y/n stormed off, dragging Remus behind her. The Head Boy and Girl, allowed her to take patrols with Remus on the train, on the condition that she will comply with the partnering situations. As soon as Y/n stepped off of the train, she avoided Regulus as much as possible. Being both Prefects, they had the privilege of riding in separate carriages up to the school. Y/n decided to run off and find her friends instead, much to the amusement of her brother and Lily.
Throughout the sorting ceremony, Y/n's mind wandered to the possible things that could happen on patrols with Regulus Black. The possibilities were endless. Regulus could hex her, Y/n could punch him, Regulus could push her down the stairs, or maybe, just maybe, Y/n could push in the Black Lake and feed him to the giant squid. Just thinking of his smug face made Y/n's blood boil to a temperature she didn't know was even possible.
“Hey, Y/n, look!” Marlene said, tapping her on the shoulder, snapping her out of her thoughts. She glanced at the direction her friend was pointing to, only to see Regulus Black, being dragged out of the Great Hall by a grinning Sirius Black, a laughing James Potter, an annoyed Remus Lupin, and Peter Pettigrew stumbling after them.
Y/n knitted her brows together, “What in Merlin's name are they doing?”
“They're going to give him the protective brother's speech.” Lily chimed in, sitting beside Y/n, making her jump. “Bloody hell, Lily! You gave me a fright!”
Lily grinned, “Jumpy, are we?”
Y/n rolled her eyes at the redhead, “I hate you.”
Lily chuckled, “You love me.”
“So, a big brother's speech, huh?” Mary laughed, “Aren't they protective?”
“Oh please, Sirius probably just wants an excuse to bother his brother.” Y/n shrugged. She wouldn't put it past her brother and Sirius, knowing that they were absolutely protective when it comes to her, their 'baby sister'. Y/n sighed, eyeing her friends, “You want me to follow them, don't you?”
Marlene and Mary nodded enthusiastically. Y/n groaned, “Really?”
“Yes, really!” Marlene grinned, “And you need to tell us everything!”
“Yeah, we need all the details!” Mary insisted.
Y/n groaned again, lightly hitting her head on the table. “Bloody gossiping shits.” Y/n murmured.
“What was that, Y/n/n? Speak up, love.” Marlene teased.
Y/n lifted her head up, glaring at Marlene, and gripping the fork in her hand. “I am this close to stabbing you with this fork.”
“Just go! Go and eavesdrop on them!” Mary pushed, “Come on, don't you want to hear what your brother and Sirius have to say? Don't you want to hear what Regulus has to say?”
“Ugh, fine!” Y/n huffed, giving into her friends' pushing. She glanced at Lily, who just shrugged, “I mean, it would be interesting.”
Y/n sighed, “You three better save me some chocolate muffins for later.” She grabbed her bag, slinging it over her shoulder before standing up and taking one last glance at her friends. “And, you three owe me a butterbeer and some sugar quills on the next Hogsmeade trip.”
“Fine, fine, now go!” Marlene grinned, jerking her head towards the door. Y/nbrolled her eyes and shook her head, before walking away from the Gryffindor table, making her way out of the Great Hall.
“Don't forget your patrols with Black in the seventh floor corridor from eight to midnight!” Lily yelled after her. Y/n glanced back, and stuck her tongue out at Lily. She then walked out of the bustling hall and went to find the Marauders.
It didn't take long for Y/n to find her brother and the rest of the boys. She could hear whimpering and Sirius' voice loud and clear in a nearby alcove. Y/n walked closer, casting a disillusionment charm over herself. Y/n peered over, and saw Sirius pinning his brother into the wall behind him.
“-if you as much as hurt a hair on her head, I will hunt you down and throw you off of the astronomy tower, Reggie.” Sirius threatened in a low voice, which is a known trait in the Black family. They could be intimidating when they wanted to, and Sirius wasn't an exception to that. His grey eyes were dark and it was clear what his intentions were. Y/n's eyes then darted to Regulus, his face was calm—as if unfazed of what his brother told him. Though, there was a hint of fear in his eyes.
“I w-won't h-hurt her, I won't. I p-promise.” Regulus whimpered, his eyes meeting with his brother's as he struggled in his grip.
“Just know, if you hurt my sister, I will be known from then on as James Potter, the one who killed Regulus Black, the heir to the Noble and Most Ancient House of Black.” James spat, his hazel eyes flashing. At the sight of hazel eyes flashing at him, Regulus was reminded of another pair of hazel eyes—who was often too angry with him too.
“I-I won't hurt her, I-I won't hurt Y/n.”
James' eyes softened for a bit. “You can let him go now, Padfoot.”
Regulus let out a breath of relief as soon as he felt his brother's hands were off of him. His eyes trailed up, meeting the eyes of Remus Lupin. “I know you know what I am,” He started, “If I see that girl hurt at your expense, I'll have your brother tie you up on a full moon.” Remus ended in a low voice, and Regulus could've sworn his eyes turned gold for a split second. Regulus felt his eyes boring into his soul, as if Remus could see his deepest darkest secrets. He stood up taller, composing his thoughts, before meeting James, Sirius, and Remus eye to eye. “Y-you h-have my w-word. I will n-never hurt Y/N Potter.”
Though he hates the girl, Regulus does not want to hurt Y/n. For the past five years that they had each other's wands in their throats, Regulus never hexed her. He would send jinxes her way, but never hexes. He was more of the victim of her hexes—the bat bogey hex and stinging hexes were her specialties—and he had scars to prove it. Y/n Potter was a powerful witch, and there was no doubt about that. But even without a wand, she can hurt him. At the memory, Regulus tasted blood in his mouth, though there wasn't. “That girl can hurt me before I can even grab my wand.” Regulus mumbled softly, nearly a whisper.
Remus, having heard him with his enhanced senses, “Oh, we know. But Y/n, she has her moments, and in those moments you could strike her, and we don't want that.”
Regulus rolled his eyes, “Alright, fine. I won't do anything to your little witch.”
“You better.” James reminded, “If my sister-”
“I said I won't, Merlin, Potter! How many times am I going to say it?” Regulus snapped, his temper overtaking him.
“Just making it clear.”
Regulus rolled his eyes, “It's crystal clear.”
Y/n chuckled softly. Seeing Regulus Black getting annoyed at her brother while he couldn't do anything because of Sirius was the first time Y/n has seen him not get what he wanted. She took off her disillusionment charm, and silently crept behind her brother.
Y/n cleared her throat loudly. “What are you guys doing?”
“Mother of Merlin!” Sirius shrieked, jumping into James' arms. Y/n burst out laughing, clutching her stomach. “Scaredy cat!”
Regulus fought hard not to crack a smile, the sight of Y/n Potter laughing, wasn't a sight he gets to see everyday. The way her hair falls over her shoulders, the way her eyes sparkle in the moonlight, the way her laugh sounded like angels singing.
What? Moonlight? Angels? What the bloody fuck is wrong with you, Regulus!?
“Oi, Black!” The sound of Y/n's voice snapped him out of his trance. “Huh? What?”
Y/n rolled her eyes, “Are you deaf? I said we have patrols in the seventh floor corridor from eight until midnight.”
Regulus glanced at James, who was mouthing: I got my eyes on you, Regulus. Don't do anything stupid. Regulus silently cursed him, before turning back to the girl in front of him. “Alright. I'll meet you there in an hour.”
Y/n gave him a curt nod, before turning her back and walking to her brother. She linked arms with James, and the four walked away. Before they got out of sight, Y/n shot a glance back at Regulus and stuck her tongue out.
Regulus chuckled softly, shaking his head, before turning away, a small smile gracing his lips.

Obligatory Lovin’
Note || jsjssosj, finally got around to this! My life has been hectic for a little bit. They also might be a lil ooc.
Sypnosis || before The Hour of Joy, it was just peace.
Tumblr media
Bobby BearHug
Naturally she is close to all her friends, you including! She really loves giving affection to anyone in need, even if it doesn’t have a reason behind it. Bobby will be a little caught off guard at first, but she will happily melt into your affections.
Bobby will laugh and nuzzle you in return, holding you very close as you two had nuzzled and hugged each other.
Bubba Bubbaphant
Elephants are naturally good at remembering things, that means he remembers all your affections too. Bubba is inclined to freeze up as soon as you do, not having been used to receiving such kind gestures.
Next time when you want to give him affection, he happily loosens up, holding you very close and tightly as if he would lose you.
Crafycorn
She would be drawing, or otherwise sharing pieces of artwork with all her friends. Crafty finds great appreciation and beauty in your affections for her and her friends alike, she genuinely thinks you are very unique and cool in your own way.
At most, Crafty would most likely flinch when she receives your affection but would just melt into it. She doesn’t exactly have awareness on how to… give it in return besides drawing that person.
DogDay
He’s bright, sunny and naturally inclined to find the bright sides in all situations. DogDay is especially happy when he receives your affections, it makes his day even brighter for him and it’s simply nice to indulge in something so cute and happy for a few minutes.
DogDay definitely hugs you back, he even just hums and feels content with the position that he is in with you.
Hoppy Hopscotch
This ball of energy definitely gets surprised when she is a receiver of your affections, Hoppy is very used to bouncing around and being quick and fast. To her eyes, it is one of those slow moments.
Hoppy doesn’t mind though, you are her friend. She happily returns your affections with a quick hug and a nuzzle, an instinctive nature of hers.
KickinChicken
For this chicken he feels too cool for your affections, he would proclaim. In reality, Kickin doesn’t mind, though he would never actually admit it outloud. You don’t really care and just wanted to give him some affection, everyone needs a little bit of love from time to time.
Kickin thinks he shouldn’t be hugging back, but with a relenting huff he just snuggles up to you and lets out a content sigh.
PickyPiggy
She would just be making food, to make a balanced lunch for any one of her friends, whoever she has in mind. Then there you are, sliding right in to give her some affectionate love.
Surprised Piggy may be, but she definitely got some good–natured karma. She immediately hugged you, trapping you in a bear-hug (haha get it?). You two had a good laugh about it later on.

Jade Leech was used to being feared.
He had never minded the fact though. No, instead he and Floyd used their fearsome appearances to their advantage in scaring other merfolk, and when they were feeling especially daring, humans going for a swim. They loved nothing more than playing pranks on anyone they could.
Sometimes they would ghost around humans, brushing across their legs to strike fear. Sometimes, they would spook them by showing them their razor-sharp teeth. The twins found great enjoyment in playing around with humans, watching them try to run as fast as they could back on land, yet still clumsily stomping in water and unable to gain speed with water resistance.
On one such occasion, Jade spotted a human child close to his age, alone at a secluded beach when he was swimming along the coast. The curious child was humming a pleasant tune while picking seashells, sea glass and any other item that they deemed worthy.
With how focused they were, they were a perfect target for Jade to play with. He swirled around them, occasionally brushing against their legs in fleeting touches. Instead of panicking or screaming in fear like he expected they would, they started to giggle and thrash around, dropping their collection of trinkets as they clenched at their sides before eventually falling backwards from losing their balance. They let out a squeal, eyes clenched shut as they braced themselves for the impact.
On instinct, Jade caught them before they could fall backwards completely, cradling them in his arms without realising how close the two of them were. The child opened one eyelid, uncertain as to what exactly happened, and once his mismatched eyes came into eyesight, their other eyelid opened immediately to fully gaze upon the orbs so alike amber and topaz.
"Beautiful..."
They whispered.
Jade was taken aback by the child's compliment, eels weren't beautiful like mermaids. No one had ever told him that his eyes were beautiful before, maybe they were pranking him back? But looking at their big, bright eyes and their face of awe, he didn't think they was lying.
"Uh, thanks," Jade said quietly, suddenly feeling a little shy.
The child gasped, their eyes lighting up. "You can talk!" they exclaimed. "And your fins look so pretty too! And your teeth!" they gently placed their hand on his cheek, trying to get a glimpse of his sharp teeth. "You're so cool!"
Jade felt himself blushing as the child continued to compliment him. He wasn't used to this kind of attention, especially from someone he had just met. Between the twins, Floyd was always the one who would get most attention with how expressive and impulsive he was. Jade, being comparatively composed, had less of a noticeable presence. His instincts were telling him to swim away from the child, but as he looked at the them, he felt a warmth seep into in his heart. They were so curious and genuine, and he felt that maybe, just maybe he could trust them.
"Thanks," Jade said again, smiling shyly. "That's really nice of you to say." And as he was greeted by an even brighter smile, he couldn't help but want to learn more about the curious human.
As days went by, Jade found himself visiting the same spot every day to see if the child was there. Similarly, the child would return to their spot whenever they could in hopes of seeing the mysterious sea creature. He would bring them gifts from the sea, adding to their collection of seashells and trinkets, and they would bring treats like rice balls and cookies from land, admiring his teeth when eating. He particularly loved the mushrooms inside the rice balls, and found himself wanting to learn all about them.
Jade would continue to tease his new friend, but rather than scaring them, he would blow bubbles in their face or tickle them and wrap his tail around them. The child would playfully swat at him, and tickle him back until the two of them were gasping for air, sitting at the shore enjoying each other's company.
Eventually, Jade introduced Floyd and Azul to his new friend. Floyd had loved meeting the human, squeezing them and poking at their cheeks. Azul meanwhile, was rather shy, and gifted the child with some seashells he had collected. The child was fascinated with the two merfolk, unable to resist petting Azul's tentacles and exclaiming their interest in him. While Jade did feel a bit jealous his human was showing so much affection, he secretly delighted in the fact that his portion of snacks were always larger, more plentiful. Rice balls with more stuffing, cookies with more toppings, or sandwiches with various mushrooms, and with how his human always reached out for him first, he found satisfaction in being their favourite.
As Jade began to realize that his dear friend was different from the other creatures of the sea, he found himself wanting to see them more often, to see them smiling brightly at them, eyes full of affection sparkling in the sunlight.
Tumblr media
Once they were old enough, Jade had Azul brew a water-breathing potion for his human, but it did come at a price. Being friends with Azul did have its benefits though, as Jade only needed to convince a few poor unfortunate merfolk from Azul's past to make a contract with him.
His dear pearl had wanted to see their home, and who was he to deny them when they looked at him with eyes full of anticipation. Jade had warned them of the deep sea's dangers however, and made them promise they would not let go of him. While this statement was largely true, the other sea creatures wouldn't dare lay a finger on his human, not when he would watch over them, but he found it incredibly endearing when they clinged onto him.
They swam deep into the sea, where Jade showed his human the wonders of his world. The Coral Sea was a mysterious and alluring place, with its crystal-clear waters, teeming with a variety of marine life. The colours of the coral reefs were breathtakingly beautiful. As they swam along, they saw a dazzling array of marine life - schools of brightly coloured fish, graceful sea turtles, and even a majestic manta ray. Curious as ever, they would ask Jade questions about all things that caught their interest. Jade would patiently explain what he knew of the creatures, and when it was safe, he would let them pet some of them, delighting in the many expressions his dearest showed.
When the sea turned dark, they knew it was time to go home. As they made their way back to the shore, Jade felt adoration of his dearest swell in his chest, wanting to never let them go. His pearl, as if having read his mind, snuggled into his hold, leaning up to give him a gentle peck on his cheek, murmuring a 'thank you' for showing them his world.
Before they had to part, Jade handed them an elegant bracelet, made of their favourite sea glass and coral, which he had carefully strung together to make the perfect gift for his beloved. His pearl smiled ever-so brightly and thanked him, admiring the intricacy and beauty of the bracelet, clutching it to their chest. To his surprise, they handed him a simple bracelet of their own, with pieces of amber that resembled his piercing eyes and little mushroom charms, made to last in the rough sea. Feeling his heart swell even more, he held out his hand, and his pearl gently tied it on his wrist, to which he reciprocated the action. Raising his wrist up to admire it, the amber piece glowed beautifully, lit up by the sunset's soft rays.
"Beautiful..."
He heard his love say again, turning to gaze at them, he noticed they weren't staring at the bracelet, but him. He smiled fondly, and gently cupped their cheek, his heartbeat racing as they leaned into his touch, melting. He slowly inched closer, and gently placed a kiss on their cold lips, and it seemed that all was right in the world as they reached up to tangle their fingers in his hair.
He wondered if his dearest knew it was merfolk culture to exchange gifts as a courting ritual, and how it would tie two individuals together. Either way, he could never let go of them, for he now regarded them as his mate. He knew that life with his beloved pearl would always be full of laughter and fun, and he couldn't imagine it any other way.

first date
Wally Darling x Reader
Warnings: a lil silly if you don’t imagine yourself and Wally to be similar in height, bahahah! also, 'tis a biggin! plus, an important note at the end if you'd like to see!
although it is not necessary, I highly suggest reading my fics in their recommended order for the best experience! here is the link to all my silly lil wally fics in order. this is #10, wowzers! :)
Wally asks you out on a date, but little does he know.
“I think I’m all set,”
Wally stared at himself in the mirror, pushing a stray hair into place with his fingers. He inhaled a deep breath, brushing off his outfit.
“What do you say, Home?” He lifted his arms to the side, presenting himself to his friend with a spin, earning squeaks and creaks of approval in return.
“Oh, you,” He swatted playfully at the air, holding his cheek in response to Home’s (supposedly) kind words.
Wally ensured to get the bundle of flowers Frank and Eddie put together for him off the table, announcing that he was off as he started toward the door, only for it not to open for him. He paused, confused. Oh, was he forgetting something?
“Picnic basket!” he snapped his fingers, smiling brightly. “Goodness, my nerves must be getting to me,” he grabbed the basket and adjusted the gingham blanket on the top.
“Is that everything, now?” He questioned aloud, unable to recall anything else. Home squeaked, door swaying open. “I’ll take that as a ‘yes’,” he smiled, heading out and waving farewell, on his way to your house.
Despite the anxiety bundled in his belly, Wally had an excited pep in his step, confidence peeking through. He felt good about this. Excited!
He had flowers and a basket of your favourite snacks for you two, along with a perfect set-up planned for the dishes, too! With his outfit looking spiffy and hair looking chic, he was set!
In no time at all, Wally stood before your door, lifting his fist and knocking, swaying back and forth on his heels. Deep breaths, Wally!
Barely two seconds passed, and it swung open. It looked like you had just been getting ready to leave.
“Wally?” you smiled, seeming pleasantly surprised by his appearance. “What are the chances?”
“Oh, my. I hope I’m not disrupting any plans,” he fretted.
“Not at all,” you reassured. “Actually, I was about to go looking for you,”
“Is that so?” he asked, head tipped to the side with curiosity.
“Yes,” you leaned back, grabbing something off the table. “I was going to bring you these,”
You held a bundle of tulips out to him, red, orange, and yellow. Wally’s eyes widened, his smile growing.
“Well, isn’t that a silly coincidence?”
He untucked the bouquet of flowers he brought for you from under his arm, holding them out, though his expression fell as he noticed their appearance.
“My… I guess I should’ve been a little more careful,” he sheepishly shifted around the slightly squashed flowers, attempting to fix them up a little better. “I’m sorry,” he apologized shyly, a little downed by his mistake.
Despite the disheveled appearance of them, you happily accepted, handing him his as you examined the beautiful bouquet. “They’re wonderful, Wally,” you awed with delight. “Why don’t you step inside for a few moments? I’ll get these in a vase real quick,” you opened the entrance further for him, walking over to the kitchen.
Wally followed you inside, staring down at the flowers you’d given to him, a giddy little smile playing at his lips. Great minds think alike, don’t they?
“So,” your voice recaptured his attention as you snipped away at the stems of the flowers, carefully sliding them into a vase filled with water. “What else brings you here? Were you just passing by?” you questioned as you walked over, placing the colourful display on the coffee table in front of your couch.
“Actually,” Wally began, holding out the picnic basket. “I came to invite you for a picnic with me,”
“A picnic?”
“A picnic,” he affirmed. “I figured, it’s a beautiful day outside, and I would like to take you on a proper date. Wouldn’t that be nice?”
“Why, isn’t that just charming of you,” you teased playfully, although the light flush on your cheeks displayed your true feelings.
“I do try,” Wally grinned. “Would you do me the honour of accompanying me?”
“I would love to,” you agreed. “I thought you looked a little extra handsome today, so I was wondering what you were up to. But, those simply may be my thoughts everyday,”
“How very sweet of you,” Wally reddened a little now, walking to the door, pulling it open for you and gesturing you through. “Shall we head out, then?” he asked.
“We shall, I suppose,” you chuckled. Something caught your eye first, your face lighting up with realization. “Oh, right! I grabbed this for you while I was at the store, too. Couldn’t resist,” you plucked the Red Delicious apple you’d gotten for him off the table, offering it to him. He accepted it gladly, smiling.
“How thoughtful as well,” he smiled. “Thank you, I appreciate it. It’s nice to know I seem to be on your mind as much as you’re on mine, too,”
Your cheeks darkened at his comment. “More than I’d like to admit, personally,” you grumbled under your breath, walking through the door, Wally following behind, sliding his hand into yours.
“Oh yeah?” he hummed, watching you in amusement as your cheeks brightened ever so slightly.
“You weren’t meant to hear that.”
It wasn’t long before you two arrived on a hill you frequented together, treading up to the shade of the tree that sat at the top. Wally took the blanket off the basket, laying it out on the ground, allowing a clean place to sit.
“What a nice day it is,” you mumbled, laying back in a starfish position and enjoying the warmth in the air. A gentle breeze drifted by every once in a while, rustling through the leaves above.
“Agreed,” Wally said, watching you with an adoring smile on his features. “Although any day is a nice day with you around, in my mind,”
“I could say the same to you, Darling,” you peeked up at him with a grin, propping yourself up on your arms.
“Why, thank you,” he grabbed the apple he’d been carrying, lifting the lid to the picnic basket to place it inside for later. He froze halfway through the action.
His brain went blank.
“... Wally?” you questioned. “Are you alright?”
… Where was the food?
He slowly shut the basket’s lid, lips slightly agape, eyes shyly meeting yours as you scooted over.
His shoulders sunk, embarrassment bubbling in his stomach as you peeked inside the basket for yourself.
“... I grabbed the wrong basket,” he whispered.
Your eyes locked with his guilt filled orbs, surprise filling your own.
Wally’s head dropped as he deflated a little more with shame.
But then, you laughed,
“You grabbed the wrong basket?” you sniggered, Wally offering a little nod of confirmation. “That’s no big deal at all, Wally” you claimed, reaching out and tilting his chin back up to make him look at you. “Guess we just have to ration the apple, huh?” you teased, pecking his forehead.
“Consider it yours,”
“I’m only kidding,” you giggled, pushing it back towards him. “It’s all yours, Darling,” you said, twisting your body to lay on your back, head resting in his lap.
Hesitant, his arms slowly snaked loosely over your shoulders as he gazed down at you, fingers toying with the fabric of your shirt.
“... you’re not mad?”
“No, I’m not mad. Not at all,”
“Really?”
“Truly,” you smiled, hands coming up to rest on top of his. “I’m more than happy just to spend time with you. I was glad to have this outing as an excuse to,”
“Goodness me,” he mumbled, cheeks flushing lightly. “I sure am a lucky one, aren’t I?” he sighed in relief, thumbs brushing along your jawline.
“You sure are,” you jested, grinning up at him.
Together, you sat in an equal amount of talking and silence, simply enjoying the other's company. Wally became a little less uptight, trying to relax and enjoy the moment more, despite still feeling discouraged over all the things that had gone wrong so far.
Everything that could go wrong already has now, hasn't it? The hurdles had been passed, and you didn’t seem put off one bit.
He watched you as you animatedly retold a story, hands waving in the air as you explained it to him. You were much too preoccupied to notice the absolutely smitten look on his face, entranced by your every move.
Until he felt something on his shoulder.
And then something on his other.
And then, a big wet drop hit your forehead.
“Uh oh,” you chuckled, wiping a droplet away and holding out your hand. “Looks like it’s starting to rain. Those clouds sure blow in quick, I didn’t even notice,” you sat up, standing to your feet.
“Oh no,” Wally mumbled, “we’d better get inside before it begins to pour,”
And as if those were the magic words, it did just that.
The sprinkle was swift to turn into a drizzle, and that drizzle soon turned into a shower. It left next to no time for you to get to any proper cover, apart from the tree.
The leaves of the tree blocked out some of the rain, however you were still getting a little wet. Unsure whether to wait it out or leave, Wally watched the rainfall, disappointed with the way everything just had to turn out.
“Say, maybe we can use the blanket as some extra cover an–”
He was cut off as his foot slid on a patch of slippery mud, leading him down, flat on his back with a grunt. Out in the open, not to mention.
At this point, he couldn’t even bother anymore.
“Are you okay?” you worried, sliding down onto your knee next to him, uncaring toward the mud that got on your clothes.
Wally stared blankly up at the sky, his smile pitiful at this point.
“This is quite the downer, isn’t it?” he uttered.
Wally gazed at you, his eyes brimmed with tears that threatened to escape.
“I messed everything up today, huh? Ha ha,” he forced a chuckle, looking to the side as he lifted an arm to wipe at his face.
“I’m sorry,” he mumbled. “I wanted to treat you today, to impress you,” his wet hands covered his face, humiliated.
“I wanted to show you how I love you so deeply, and to ask…” he hesitated. Should he even say it now? He just felt like it would go poorly, anyways. Instead, he sighed, dropping the subject.
“Never mind, all that…”
His hands fell to his sides, spread out as he accepted his miserable fate. He felt so defeated. Thoroughly, downright destroyed, by now.
Not a single thing seemed to go his way today. Murphy’s Law was on his tail! From when he grabbed the wrong basket, he smushed the flowers, he forgot to take the weather into account, he slipped and got you both all muddy... What's next?
With how poorly this outing with you has gone, why would you want to go on any more with him?
As he went to apologize to you once more, you beat him to speaking.
“Dance with me,” you said.
Your hand came into Wally’s view, palm up, requesting his.
He met eyes with yours, lost.
Shouldn’t you be upset with him? Or anything that's not wanting to dance?
“I ruined our date,” he voiced.
“Well, I don’t see it that way,” you disagreed, “I don’t think you’ve done anything wrong. Maybe some mishaps have happened, but…” you trailed off as you looked around, peering back at him.
“I see it as a memorable first date with you,”
“Memorable is one way to describe it, I suppose…” he grumbled. You giggled, shaking your head.
“I mean that in a good way,” you chuckled. “I’ve enjoyed this. A lot. Maybe things didn’t go according to plan, but… sometimes, it’s fun when things go astray,”
“So come on,”
He stared at you, befuddled by your words. He had been unsure that he could love you any more, but with each passing day, you seemed to prove that assumption wrong.
“Dance with me, Wally. Please?”
So, timidly, he accepted your hand, standing back to his feet with your help.
His hair was drooped in front of his face, dampened by the rain, as were both of your clothes by now. And yet, you showed no sign of caring.
Instead, you led him further away from the little cover the tree provided, stopping in the middle of the road.
“We have no music,” Wally pointed out as you turned toward him, his hands in your own.
“Won’t you sing for me, Wally?” You joked with a giggle. He chuckled weakly, shaking his head.
“You and I both know I’m not the best singer,”
“And yet, you and I both know that’s not what it’s all about,” you begged to differ, “It’s about the enjoyment, and I enjoy the sound of your voice, personally. Plus, you and I both know I’m not the best dancer, but here I am, asking you to dance with me,”
“I think you’re a wonderful dancer,”
“As I think you’re a wonderful singer,”
He opened his mouth to reply, only to close it right back up.
Touché…
He couldn’t come up with any argument for that. So, with an amused huff, he pulled you closer and began to hum a tune for you, leading you into a slow, simple dance.
As you swayed lazily in the street together, Wally could almost feel his tension melt away in the rain. He felt as if his cares had faded, with you in his arms.
Sure, the picnic was ruined (though it seems that it was from the start), his hair was sopping wet, and his clothes weren’t much different, he could put up with it, if this feeling of tranquility with you is what he gets in return.
As he continued to hum, Wally lifted his arm, twirling you in the dance and carefully dipping you, smiling as you giggled.
When he lifted you back up out of it, you pulled your grip away from his, leaning against him.
Your arms wrapped loosely around his hips, the man stood still as a statue in your embrace for a moment, before he carefully laid his arms over your shoulders. He’d gotten better, with time. He wanted to improve for you.
“Wally?” you murmured quietly, catching his attention.
“Yes?” he replied.
“Tell me what you were going to say, won’t you?”
It took Wally a moment to comprehend the meaning behind your words, but soon, he understood. The corners of his lips tugged up a little more, and he gently pulled you closer.
“Well, I wanted to ask you a question, since it had come to my attention we hadn’t spoken about it before,” He said, pulling back slightly to have a better look at you.
“So, I wanted to request of you, if you would please accept me as your significant other,” He murmured, eyes gazing lovingly into yours.
“I’d be glad to, Wally,” you smiled back at him. “I would love nothing more than that,”
Wally’s smile grew wider. Thunder rumbled gently in the distance, the warm rain continuing to hit against your skin. Both of you were completely drenched by now, soaked, muddy, and yet none of that mattered, with how incredibly content you were in each other’s presence.
“I desire nothing more than that,” Wally hummed, his hands cupping your cheeks. Your own found his wrist, gripping them lightly.
“You know, my darling,” you hummed, his surname falling from your lips with more meaning. “I’m completely and utterly in love with you, Wally,”
His lips tugged upwards.
And that’s all he needed to hear.
Eliminating the little space between the two of you, his lips met yours in a slow, tender kiss, while the rain continued to pelt down around you.
“Same to you, my love,” Wally murmured, forehead pressed to yours.
“Yes!” Julie leaped up, fist pumping the air, rain poncho shielding her body from the rain.
You jumped back from Wally in shock, cheeks flushing deeply with embarrassment.
“Julie!” Frank scolded, yanking her back down behind the bush.
“Sorry!”
FINALLY!!! IT'S HERE!!! I am so sorry for the long wait!!! hopefully this long fic makes up for it!!!
it has been a month since i started this series!!! wow, has it ever flown by!!! thank you to everyone for their support, especially to those of you who have interacted with all of my stuff. I notice you. you pop up in my notifications and i occasionally say aloud, "thank you kittenpickles692" or whatever your strange url may be!!! i do not believe a kittenpickles692 exists, but perhaps i should look into it!!!
but!!! thank you all!!! i really truly appreciate it!!! i won't lie, with how this fic goes, i may consider leaving this 'series' here. what i mean by this though, is the pulling away from the fics following a 'storyline'. i will more likely than not still write these and they will still be considered part of it, but they will be much more random moments instead, bahah! simply different tidbits of your relationship with wally, all in this same 'world' i have written about.
here is a link to my silly lil wally fics in their recommended order if you would like :) these can also be found on my ao3 B) I also have a ko-fi if you'd like to support me!
alas!!! I believe this is all for now!!! i truly hope that you enjoyed, and i will be back soon!!! likes and reblogs are very appreciated! MWAH!!!

Classroom Competition ➵ Matt Sturniolo
Tumblr media
synopsis: two rival English teachers, you and Matt, challenge each other to an end-of-year competition to see whose class will come out on top.
You stood at the front of your classroom, flipping through the stack of essays your students had turned in earlier that week. The air was thick with the smell of freshly sharpened pencils and the quiet hum of focused minds. Your students were finishing a timed writing exercise, and you could already tell from the intensity in their eyes that they were giving it their all.
A small smile tugged at the corner of your lips. Your class was doing great this semester. They were engaged, improving their writing skills daily, and, most importantly, they were enjoying the material. You had spent weeks perfecting your lesson plans, making sure they were creative and challenging. But in the back of your mind, there was always one nagging thought.
Matthew.
Your fellow English teacher—and academic rival.
Victoria had been teaching at Somerville High for two years now, and ever since you and Matt had both started in the same semester, a silent, unspoken competition had brewed between you. You both taught sophomore English, and though you never directly confronted each other about it, there was a clear rivalry between you to see who could get the highest test scores, who could make reading Shakespeare fun, and who could inspire their students the most.
It wasn’t that Matt was a bad teacher. Quite the opposite, in fact. He was too good. Charismatic, engaging, and with an ability to make even the most mundane literature seem exciting, he was loved by students and teachers alike. His reputation for getting the highest standardized test scores among his classes wasn’t lost on you either.
But you weren’t about to let him overshadow you.
The bell rang, and your students handed in their essays on the way out. You were just gathering your things when the door to your classroom swung open. Speak of the devil.
“Y/N,” Matt greeted you with a casual smirk, leaning against the doorframe, arms crossed. “You busy?”
You looked up, narrowing your eyes. “What do you want, Matt?”
“I just thought I’d swing by and see how your class is doing,” he said, his voice smooth. “You know, make sure everything’s running smoothly on this side of the English department.”
You rolled your eyes, picking up the stack of essays. “My class is doing just fine, thank you.”
“Of course they are,” he said, pushing off the doorframe and stepping into the room. He glanced around, taking in your meticulously organized classroom. “I’m sure you’re drilling those essays into them like always.”
You bristled at the jab but kept your tone light. “Maybe, but at least my students know how to structure an argument properly. I’ve heard yours are still struggling with thesis statements.”
Matt chuckled, clearly not offended. “Oh, they’ve got it down. But I prefer to focus on more… Creative approaches to writing. You know, things that get students to think outside the box.”
“Right,” you said, leaning back against your desk. “And that’s why your students are always scrambling the day before exams, right?”
He shot you a look, but his smile never wavered. “Hey, it works for them.”
You had this same back-and-forth at least once a week. It wasn’t mean-spirited, but there was definitely an underlying tension in your conversations. And today, you were determined to win this round.
“Speaking of exams,” you said casually, “did you see the test scores from last week’s assessment?”
Matt raised an eyebrow. “I did. Pretty solid across the board. How about yours?”
You grinned. “Best in the department.”
For the first time, Matt’s smirk faltered just slightly, and it was all the satisfaction you needed.
“Congrats,” he said, a little less cocky now. “Guess I’ll have to step up my game.”
“Guess so,” you said sweetly.
He crossed his arms, clearly not ready to back down entirely. “Well, if we’re being competitive, how about we up the stakes?”
You eyed him warily. “What kind of stakes?”
“An end-of-year competition,” he suggested, leaning against one of the student desks. “Your class versus mine. Whoever gets the highest overall grade average wins.”
You raised an eyebrow. “And what exactly does the winner get?”
Matt thought for a moment, then his grin returned. “Bragging rights. For the whole summer. And…” he paused for dramatic effect, “the loser has to buy the winner coffee every morning for a week.”
You crossed your arms, biting your lip as you considered the offer. It was a ridiculous bet, but there was something thrilling about it. And if you were being honest with yourself, you liked the competition with Matt. It kept you on your toes, made you push yourself harder. Plus, the thought of beating him, once and for all, was too tempting to resist.
“Deal,” you said, stepping forward and offering your hand.
Matt’s smile widened as he took it. “Deal.”
The rest of the semester flew by, and true to your word, both you and Matt ramped up your efforts to make your classes the best they could be. You spent countless hours refining your lesson plans, coming up with creative writing prompts, and working one-on-one with students who needed extra help. You weren’t just teaching to win the bet—you genuinely cared about your students’ success—but knowing that you had a competition with Matt made you push even harder.
On the other side of the hallway, Matt was doing the same. He organized debate competitions, hosted creative writing workshops, and even incorporated poetry slams into his curriculum. His students adored him, and he had a way of making literature come alive in a way that was different from your more structured approach.
By the time the end of the year rolled around, both teachers were anxiously awaiting the results. Final grades were submitted, and the last week of classes was a blur of goodbyes and final projects.
You were standing in the teacher’s lounge, tapping your foot impatiently as you waited for the principal to post the final grade averages. Matt stood beside you, leaning casually against the wall, looking far too relaxed for your liking.
“Nervous?” he asked, glancing over at you.
“Not at all,” you lied, crossing your arms. “Just ready to win.”
Matt chuckled. “We’ll see about that.”
The principal finally walked in, holding the final grade reports. She posted the averages for each class on the board, and you felt your heart race as you scanned the numbers. Your class had done incredibly well, but so had Matt’s.
It was close. Really close.
In the end, Matt’s class edged yours out by a mere half a percentage point.
You let out a frustrated sigh, crossing your arms as Matt grinned triumphantly beside you.
“Looks like I’ll be expecting that coffee next week,” he said, his tone dripping with smugness.
You rolled your eyes but couldn’t help the small smile tugging at your lips. “Yeah, yeah. Don’t let it go to your head.”
Matt chuckled, stepping closer, his voice softening just a little. “You know, this whole rivalry thing—it’s fun.”
You glanced up at him, your heart doing an unexpected little flip. “Yeah. It is.”
For a moment, you stood there, the usual tension between you shifting into something else—something that felt less like competition and more like connection.
“So, what’s next?” you asked, raising an eyebrow.
Matt grinned. “Oh, I’m sure we’ll think of something.”
And as you walked away, you couldn’t help but wonder if this competition of yours was just beginning—only now, the stakes felt a little higher.
