#i wanted to draw the other guardians too but this would be a good start #ok so #tsuna starts his band. yamamoto bass and gokudera keys and tsuna suprisingly drummer and also lead vocal. reborn appears out of nowhere-#being “youre not your full potential so i will drain you till youre like a fish in a dehydrator until you become the best out there.”#thats about it #but i just like how drumming singers are like extremely good music people because drumming is already hard. and singing too???#absolutely insane i might say. tsuna would do this (bc reborn told him so)#he does not want to be the best but reborn exists in the paro for a reason #reborn is like maybe a famous musician who faked his death then did whatever he wanted to do while he was “alive”. then he got tsuna as his #apprentice and so so. oh yeah also whiplash (the movie) reference bc holy shit its so good. for me at least. and reborn would make tsuna go #that kind of crazy. like training until drenched in sweat from morning to night or whenever hes available. bc he knows he has potential #he just need someone to push him beyond his expected limit #btw 8059 implied #gokudera joined the band first bc yeah then comes yamamoto for fun as he had to rest from playing baseball a bit too enthusiastic #gokudera hated him so much for like being dumb??? Hey, they look pretty good together!

So yeah. Good Together by Lake Street Dive released a few weeks ago, and this was supposed to come out in June for the June project, but I’m counting it for June so I don’t have an excuse to not do a July project.

The roles were picked based on the 30th Anniversary Music Festival art, so Dedede represents drummer Mike Calabrese, Bandee represents pianist Akie Bermiss, etc. Marx is actually really cute! I should draw him more. He’s representing bassist Bridget Kearney here.

I actually really like how this turned out. This was supposed to be finished in a day, but… I couldn’t.

Now, thoughts on Good Together? I love it.

They really know how to start a song off. Most opening instrumental is so funky! I really like it! Favorite song is hard to pick… Dance with a Stranger, Seats at the Bar, Far Gone, Good Together… they all are great! Set Sail is so… wistful… I love it so much! It was the PERFECT album closer. Help Is On The Way is so groovy… ach! I love this album. The only song I kinda disregard is Twenty Five. Wistful like Set Sail, but personally not my cup of tea. I don’t prefer overly sad songs. But it’s still good, don’t get me wrong. But I won’t have it on loop like every other song. Please listen to Lake Street Dive if you have the chance! New favorite band besides Sammy Rae and the Friends. Hey, if you like them, I think you’ll like this group too!

Now for other matters.

Playing OneShot. Pretty good game so far. Niko is SO CUTE. Cold take, I know, but it’s the truth. The character designer designed so hard when creating them. Also I’m going in blind, which is a treat. I hear the story is VERY important, so yeah. I watched the Ace Attorney anime before playing the game, ruined it for me. Playing the Apollo Justice trilogy was a treat.

AAI2 released in the West, very glad about that. You KNOW I’m getting it.

ekky only choosing forsy for eye candy is another example of fork found in kitchen and he has to keep up his shirt off quote quotas even if forsy has now shown off his body to the masses but also unfortunately just reads too much like this (how it feels auditioning as a drumer)

#so if youll need me i think ill be screaming into my hands #i said ekky bassist in a fugue state when the original clip of the pantrs band video came out #and then i remembered this tiktok and i just wept into my hands at how accurate it was #the one speaking is dan (bassist/vocals) so him immediately accepting tate (drummer) because he took his shirt off #tracks extensively in my little forsblad band au that ive been daydreaming about #also they just have multiple videos expanding upon the bassist and drummer having a thing so it really is not helping #one of the videos being “when the bassist and drummer are left alone”#and its just them giggling as tate teaches dan the drums by helping him (hes bad at drums) as lets get it on plays in the bg #anyways great band great body of work ive been listening to a lot as of late #have we considered pretty boy with pretty vocals bassist ekky and the new drummer they accepted because their old one quit on them #i just think forsy would look so hot in a muscle tee and a bandana as he stick his tongue out during sets #because hes pretty calmduring rehearsals but during lives a demon possesses him which means he becomes the hottest man alive #and have the most mmmmmmm (this is my crush on certain drummers speaking sorry guys)#theres a lot of fodder here mmmmmm yeah im gonna be thinking about this for the next month jesus christ

I can't say anything BC it's the same (almost) unit of measurement that I apply when I go to concerts.

Smsmksksa (not so much) joking aside, the mic unit of measurement is the most useful and obvious for the concert donut. I know they updated the number and positions of the mics,, so I am now kind of curious of the ratio drum riser/mics on the stage. Like there are 4 battle station on the donut, how many mics between every drum kit? This is a math problem due to monday

But like, of course for stages like the one in Milan, it wasn't like that, even if it was smaller

i was in a high school during school hours for the first time since i started dyeing my hair and the number of compliments i got was crazy

#ari opinion hour #(i HAVE been in other high schools with dyed hair but they were just for honors band concerts. so first of all not during school hours and #secondly i was not actually around the kids.)#my hair is awesome rn so usually i get compliments but not this many in that short a span of time lol #INCLUDING the main band director whose name i dont actually know oops lol BUT i wasnt actually there to observe her so. yk not as bad #she was really nice hopefully i can observe w her next sem when i need to get like a crazy amount of hours at once (im in danger dot jpeg)#but yeah like . 4 or 5 compliments and i was only there like an hour and 45 mins at most #having dyed hair around kids continues to be THE BEST but i didnt expect it from high schoolers #cause i only think about the little kids with this gfhjkgshf #teaching tag #anyway. GREAT jazz band. jazz band guy was awesome #their rhythm section was SO TALENTED like literally all four of them were great ESPECIALLY THE DRUMMER #like SHIT man
