Spy: Grey Fox. I was gonna go with a wolf because of his fursona but fox fits better wahhhh. Also means that scout is half fox! I’ll show that in more detail one day. Probably.

Medic: just like his Doves! The tail coat is actual his real tail. Featherrrrrs. Why are his nasty claws out? I don’t know he’s kinda weird like that.

Demo: TIGER!!!!! He’s always kinda reminded me of Hobbes from Calvin and Hobbes :) why did I draw him so cute. Somebody stop me before I draw them all adorable ough.

Engineer: the bulllllerrrrrrrrr. Sorry. He’s a bull, with a nose ring. Epic. Hooves for hands, gunslinger would look like a hoof too, gotta design that later.

Heavy: big badass brown bear. Love him. Instead of bullet he has honey sticks. It costs four hundred thousand dollars to harvest honey… for 12 seconds.

Pyro: fucking dragon. hell yeah. In pyroland they see themselves as a unicorn. Baller.

Scout: Bunny scout truther over here. You can thank @/teamfurtress for that. Please check them out, commissions are open! In my version he’s a hare but that is significantly less fun to say lol. Jackrabbit kinda guy.

My potentially controversial tier list on what I think the TF2 characters' gaydars are like

Very satisfied with how they handled Gray and the Administrator’s backstory. Gray talking about how she’s angrier and more clever… It really works for him to say this after knowing this. Dude thought he was so clever that HE was the villain it was his narrative he was the most twisted and interesting one.

But when he showed up to ‘take his place’ all he did was give this monster inspiration to keep going and in doing so ruined his own chances. If Gray had just let the Administrator stay dead and searched by himself, it’d have gone just fine; The Australium was right there. But he underestimated this suicidal woman and thought she couldn’t possibly be a threat with her mindset, because he knew nothing of what led her to it, and so what might dissuade her.

So Gray brought her back because he thought it’d be easier than looking for it himself, and instead it left him looking forever. He went away and assumed she’d make good on delivering the Australium because of course she would, of course she’d have nothing left and no aspirations of her own! No need to keep an eye on her! Gray was just like his brothers, fighting over the same useless stuff.

And in the end I bet it just played into Zepheniah’s suffering, and thus the Administrator’s revenge, to see that third son he tried to kill come back. He was just another idiot, the less idiotic brother, and in the end he wasn’t even worth being done in by the Administrator but by another pawn Classic Heavy, because he was too arrogant to consider what would stop Classic Heavy from taking over.

At best, Gray’s takeover was an inconvenience to the Administrator. And given he DID figure out another source of Australium —the Australians’ own blood— he’d have probably just given the Administrator what she needed to continue her revenge, all over again. In the end his only purpose was to renew the Administrator’s purpose, as she claimed the family’s relevance, power, and legacy from those eligible to inherit it.

That’s the theme of the story, working off of the meta bit about TF2 repeating what TFC did, the theme of history, the immortality, etc. A bunch of old fools scrambling for the power as the young generation becomes old like them and joins in on the power grab, but none of these people are really any better or smarter than the other, and die just as stupidly as the ones they kill.

TF2 60's Dinner AU where the characters are not world dominating tycoons striving for immortality but the denizens of a small town in Nevada living ""normal"" lives and having a slice of lifr goofy adventures as relatively ordinary people???

Im having a stroke of genius

The Mann brothers are two rich local farmers conflicted over their fathers inheritance - they both own a dinner restaurant each where they employ some of the mercs

The administrator owns a accounting company and got hired to do bookkeeping for both places except she's plotting to take over both restaurants, just like in canon she's a witty chainsmoking old lady and Miss Pauling is her niece from out of town who she hired to help her

Saxton is the local Sheriff and Bidwell and Reddy are his goofy donut eating flip & flap ahh minions

Gray is the Mann's brothers secret illegitimate brother (a result of Zepheniahs affair) who's now returning to the town learning that his father had left a large inheritance. He'd be a big time big city engineer who's looking down on the small town life (ofc he would have Olivia with him)

Merasmus would be the local spiritualist LSD hippie grandpa, leading a commune called the racoon den

TFC mercs would be a harley driving biker gamg

The regular mercs would be all citizens of the town - everyone would be suspicious of heavy, as its the cold war and everyone suspects him of being a russian spy (especially Soldier who's an actual WW2 veteran here and often does comical tomfoolery trying to get proof that heavy is a spy) except medic who's also having a hard time as the local doctor because everyone labels him a nazi

The russian spy would be a recuring plotpoint and it would actually be the Spy that is a spy hired by the KGB to infiltrate the town and the local military base to get intel on a UFO that supposed crashed in the desert nearby. Ofcourse he'd do a terrible job and get attached to everybody and eventually drop his mission entierly

Cant think of interesting headcanons for other mercs but i think they would all be "normal" citizens of the town
