We had SUCH a fantastic response from the interest check, we thought it would be fun to share it with you!

Check out under the cut for both the results and a sneak peek into the epic aesthetic planned for the zine with the gorgeous graphics designed by Mod Berry (this is Mod Jade, so I can gush ;) ) Enjoy!

How many responses did we get? 169! (Wow, thank you!)

When we asked how interested you were in the seasons theme, with 1 being "not my thing" and 5 being "super excited", 119 of you answered with a 5, 44 answered with a 4, and 6 answered with a 3- and no one answered a 1 or a 2!

6.5% of you wanted just a digital zine, 18.9% wanted just a physical zine, and 74.6% wanted both digital and physical!

104 of you wanted to show your interest by buying and 103 wanted to show your interest by applying to contribute! 13 of you were interested as moderators, 82 as page artists, 48 as merch artists, 48 as writers, and 54 just wanted to buy!

When it came to how much you would be willing to pay (in USD):

For the Physical Zine with merch, 58 of you (34%) said you'd be willing to pay $50-55, 55 of you (32.5%) would be willing to pay $55-60, 34 of you (20.1%) said you'd be willing to pay $60-65, 11 of you (6.5%) would be willing to pay $65-70, and 11 (6.5%) of you also said you'd pay more than $70.

For the Physical Zine without merch, 68 of you (40.2%) said you'd be willing to pay $20-25, 78 of you (46.2%) said you'd pay $25-30, and 23 of you (13.6%) said you'd pay $30-35.

For the Digital Zine, 142 of you (84%) said you'd pay $15-20, 24 of you (14.2%) said you'd pay $20-25, and 3 of you (1.8%) said you'd pay $25-30.

117 of you (69.2%) said you wanted merch, 48 (28.4%) of you said maybe you wanted merch, and 4 of you (2.4%) said merch wasn't necessary!

Your top 5 digital merch items were screensavers, colouring sheets, seasonal checklists, printable stickers, and a printable standee.

Your top 5 physical merch items were acrylic charms, sticker sheets, fake polaroids, prints, and badges/buttons.

Your top 5 stretch goal items were an enamel pin, an acrylic charm, a shaker charm, an acrylic standee, and a themed sticky note pad!

We had some amazing additional suggestions for merch, but sadly a lot of them would require a huge number of orders... If you really fancy a notebook, help us keep the interest high!

We asked for a vote on what other characters you wanted to see hanging out with the Pines Family enjoying the seasons! It was great to see the list! Many of you suggested fantastic characters we didn't even have on the list!

Soos had 144 votes, Wendy had 141, Fiddleford had 112, Mabel's friends (Candy and Grenda) had 87 votes, Pacifica had 76 votes, Bill Cipher had 61 votes, Wendy's friends (the teens) had 39 votes, Cryptids (like the Multibear, Sev'ral Times, and Giffany) had 7 votes, Melody had 4, Waddles had 4, Gideon had 3, Gompers had 1, and Abuelita (Soos' Grandma!) had 1.

And finally- the answer to the classic question: What is your favourite season? 19.2% of you said Spring was your favourite, 26.9% said Summer was your favourite, 15% loved Winter the best, and 38.9% said your favourite season was Autumn!

HI!!! HI HI HI!!!! ANON HELLO!!!!

...So yes!!! I am working on a teensy weensy little rehashing of the Reverse Falls au. I'm sure as we all know, the original is a bit....outdated so to say. What with suspicious art and some questionable decisions here and there.

I'm not saying mine is better! No way no how, I'm absolutely sure there's a bunch of people out there with something better. This is just a little thing I'm working on with a friend of mine ( @danklemckspankle ) and how we would imagine a reverse falls au. Rather than it being low-key swapping personalities, it swaps roles as it should. And I'd like to think the premise is exciting as well! It makes me very very happy to talk about it as it's been plaguing my mind for a week or two. Tbh ever since book of bill came out....

So!! Lemme talk about it a little!!! I hope you're ready for a little mystery wink wink

Ahem. So! Our little story starts in a little shack called "The Shack of Telepathy"!! (So original yeah I know)

Bud Gleeful is the shack owner, living as a single father with his son Gideon Gleeful. Bud makes money by being a tourist trap, grabbing people in under the premise of reading their minds! (Gravity falls people are just easy to read but shhh don't tell Toby)

Gideon is a little 9 year old with a heart of gold and full of promise. It's a new summer in Gravity Falls and he has big plans! He wants to have the best adventure he can, and hopefully get a new badge on his vest!!

Yes, this little guy wants to be a boy scout!! Unfortunately, there is no chapter in Gravity Falls, so he's gonna have to make one himself!

Here's my little drawing ref of Gideon. Look at him, he's so squishable

With his dad's pin machine, he makes badges whenever he does something good or a big accomplishment! (His pride and joy badge is the one he made with his dad on Father's Day :] )

He really wants to have a good summer. He hopes, by golly, he hopes.

Now a neighborhood down, is town darling Pacifica Northwest. Her family isn't as rich in this as canon, so her family sits as upper middle class at most. Modern suburbia yk? Her family wants to set an example for the people of Gravity Falls, taming the weirdness out or whatever they say.

Pacifica just wants a summer where she can have a little relief. Away from the eye of her parents and the public. Just one day where she can be herself!

Little drawing ref of Pacifica. She still wears a bunch of makeup. (Just....maybe one less powdering. Maybe.) Also she's 12.

So she goes walking in town while her parents are busy planning their big weekly barbeque or whatever. She comes across this kid named Gideon. He compliments her sense of style and makes an offhanded comment about making a badge or something.

Now Pacifica, despite however much her parents influence her, starts her own trends and styles. (With the permission of her parents) So when this kid compliments her she goes on a (grateful) rant and they hit it off!

Gideon tells her about his dad's shack, and all the business business business Bud does. Pacifica talks about her parents planning events every week and, begrudgingly, church. They scurry off into the woods to just explore, and be kids!

On their way as Gideon is messing around with nature, they come across this metal tree. Weird, huh. They do some digging around and press buttons, when a crater opens in the ground!! Pacifica goes to check it out, pushing Gideon back in case of danger.

What they see is a journal! Very dusty and cobwebbed, but a journal with the number 3 painted on it. They pick it up and peruse through it. Pacifica is skeptical at first, wondering if it's part of any tourist trap Gideon's dad planned. When Gid says no, they realize the journal mayyyy have some merit. With how weird Gravity Falls is all the time and the little things that happen here and there, the author of this journal could be telling the truth.

So when they go back to the shack, the talk about the journal and what it could mean.

Now I haven't planned too far ahead to make a full writing of each episode, barely even the pilot, but! This is the gist of it in my head.

As you know, yes I mentioned Ford was evil! And I'm keeping a little of the previous reverse falls lore for this (surrounding the pines. Other things will be different!)

Maybe I'll make a post talking about the pines, but y'know. I just wanna talk about the general feeling I have for it in my head.

I'm very excited to work on this. Mayyyybe I'll share a bit of the roles with you that are swapped. Juuuust to keep interest ;)

Bud -> Stan

Soos -> Dude he's just himself here. Soos is perfection and cannot be interchanged (he goes undercover for Stan and works at the shack every other day. Undercover name is Deuce because of that one guy that looked like him 👍)

I have a ton of Gravity Falls fanmerch ideas either already in progress or on the soon to do list, and I wanted to shop around this idea...

Would anyone be interested in Mystery Shack Mystery Boxes? They'd each be filled with a random assortment of things... I currently have acrylic pins, acrylic charms, and button badges in the works but I might add more!

I would also sell things individually for those who don't like blind boxes, don't worry! But I thought this might be fun and I'd like to know what other people think.

Roommate and I also came up with a more elaborate mystery item device but that will have to wait until another day. >.>

Hi hey hello just dropping in with camila-covers-battle-scars-with-tattoos vibes bc your tattoo art and art in general is a delight and I wanted to show my appreciation!

She’s had scars aplenty, collected them like badges of honour for a while – had them pinned upon her by more hands than she could count. The scars the OCS gives her are a little different, a little deeper. They’re cleaner than the memory of barbed wire that gives texture to the field of poppy’s that wraps her bicep, or the burn that silvers the swords on her forearm. Camila doesn’t even see them anymore. She’s carried worse, is under no illusion that she will carry worse once again. At least her scars and her aching, burning wounds are of this world. Camila knows her pain, knows its cause and can tell when the weather will turn an aching to a gnawing.

Under fluorescents once again, with an invitation this time – cool glass and air conditioning soothing the weight of cloth and hood, she watches Ava bend the laws of physics and fall into Beatrice’s arms as if her gravity was suddenly greater than the earth’s. There are scars there too, she knows, but the two of them together look set to soften each other’s sharp edges.

Camila has never had a scar ripped open again, guards old wounds carefully like any good soldier; the skin is weaker there, aches to bleed again.

Lilith rends a tear in the skin of the world, falls through a door and a hole in reality, here and alive and raw and as confused as Camila is. They sit together, and Camila chooses to smile, chooses to dress another’s wounds. They sit together for a scant few hours, and Lilith weeps and burns with a pain that Camila can see will break her. Camila has dressed more wounds than she can count, but there is no gauze for this, no salve to ease the fear in Lilith’s eyes.

This is a snippet from a prompt but the scars and tattoos vibe was heavily inspired by your art so I wanted to share! Hope you're having a lovely day!

It’s a resolutely average day. The sky is a muddy shade of gray, and seems to enjoy terrorizing the city with the possibility of rain. You almost grabbed an umbrella, but if the sky can't make up its mind then neither could you.

You bump into someone, a college student most likely, and while you stumble back their papers go flying. “Sorry,” he mutters, round glasses slipping down his long nose. You read the text above his head almost on instinct and try to choke back a laugh.

TIMES SPILLED COFFEE ON SOMEONE: 57

Yeah, that’s… not surprising. You watch him nearly trip as he hurries away and nearly dump all of his papers to the ground for a second time. You’re not quite sure which universal force decides which stats are displayed for each person, but you hope for his sake that spilling coffee isn’t truly the most interesting thing about him.

You shove your hands deep into your pockets to ward off the chill and carry on. As you walk, you play your little game with yourself. You scan the area just over each person you pass’ head. What is the best stat that you can find? Which one makes you smile, which one makes you blink several times in shock?

You like people watching. You like being in crowds. It makes you feel like you belong, like you’re a part of something bigger than yourself. Knowing these random, charming little facts about people almost makes you feel like each person that you pass is your friend.

Unfortunately, the weather seems to be doing a pretty good job of intimidating people into staying inside, but you manage to catch a few good stats. NUMBER OF DIVORCES: 7 makes you do a double take, while NUMBER OF STAB WOUNDS: 23 causes you to miss a step as you try to make sure the person isn’t actively bleeding.

You cut through the park to make the walk back to your apartment shorter. It’s eerily silent, and unusually empty. The rusting of dry leaves sounds almost like whispers.

You notice the figure on the bench. You don’t know why your eyes were so drawn to him. It isn’t like he’s particularly tall, or wearing anything especially colorful. He just has a… gravity to him. Something the way he sits almost… lazily, draped over the bench like a viper coiled over itself.

You should have kept walking. Instead, your footsteps slow as you stare unashamedly at the figure. Maybe it’s because you’re so busy studying his long, black coat or glittering gold something twirling between his fingers that your eyes don’t flick up to his stat like they would if it was anyone else.

Two things happen at the same time. He notices you, and you finally read the text floating above his head.

His eyes are brown. They meet yours, and you are seen. You are known.

EXTRATERRESTRIALS KILLED: 27.

You want to run, but your feet move clumsily. You’re pinned like a bug in amber as he stretches to his feet and starts walking towards you. He moves slowly, as if he has all the time in the world.

It’s a knife. The thing that he was twirling in his hand was a knife. It flashes dangerously. The park is empty. There are no witnesses.

You swallow hard. “I don’t want any trouble.”

His face is cold. “Neither did I. But you're not supposed to be here.”

“Please. I’m not doing anything. I- I have a life here!”

He’s only a few feet away, and you finally find the strength to run. Not that it does you any good. The knife buries itself between your shoulder blades.

You fall to the ground. An inhuman cry of pain rips itself out of you. It hurts. It hurtsithurtsithurtsithurts

He’s standing over you and he has another knife, because of course he does. “I wasn’t sure about you at first. But I’ve been watching you for some time. You made my job quite… difficult.”

“Please,” you plead because even though you didn’t do anything wrong, you’re scared and you don’t want to die. There’s no sympathy in his face. Only a cold determination.

It’s so cold.

Something else flashes from under his coat. It’s a badge, you think.

The second knife finds its mark. The last thing you see is the number above his head tick up once with finality.

EXTRATERRESTRIALS KILLED: 28.

The sky opens up, and it finally starts raining.

You were born with the unique power to see the most interesting "stat" of a person floating over their head. For most, it's stuff like "TIMES WON GAMES OF POKER: 43," or "PROMISES BROKEN: 105." Today, you glance up at someone sitting nearby to see "EXTRATERRESTRIALS KILLED: 27."

Finally, here’s my little SunnyCon haul post~!

First off, not something I bought, but the mini dango I was given by the Nagisa cosplayer just for recognising the character…! It’s so small and cute~! /)^^(\

A GHOSTS POSTER IN THE HORRIBLE HISTORIES ART STYLE I SWEAR I SCREAMED WHEN I SAW THIS especially since I had bought some stickers from this artist the day before and hadn’t noticed their Ghosts stuff! This is by @h0lyhandgrenade (tho they seem to be more active on Twitter so check their blog for that link!)

Soulmate September - Day 4

Day 4 - There is a trail of color only you can see that marks out where your soulmate has been.

Pairing(s): Platonic Patmile, Aro Patton, Aro Emile

TWs: None I can think of rn, possibly a warning for Pat questioning his aromantic-ness? If I need to tag anything that I’ve missed, please lemme know!

Patton wasn’t sure what to feel even as his own two traitorous feet carried him along the sidewalk in the direction of the sparkling baby pink soulmate trail; he knew he would have one, everyone did. At least, that’s what he was always raised to believe.

“One day, Pat, one day you’ll meet your soulmate and everything will be wonderful. You’ll fall in love and be happy for the rest of your days!”

Patton loved his nana, bless her, but just remembering her words made his stomach churn more than the nerves he felt watching the trail. He already felt so happy with his best friends; sure, perhaps a part of him felt a little like the odd one out considering they were all in relationships with their soulmates now, but he didn’t feel like he needed a romantic partner to feel fulfilled. But maybe that just meant he wasn’t truly happy. Maybe.

After all, he had a trail. Heck, he was following it right now! That meant he’d have to face his soulmate. Someone who would be looking for a loving partner who’d shower them with romance. Affection, Patton could do. Heck, platonic kisses and cuddles were practically his second job. Romance, however…. That he just couldn’t seem to grasp. Not that he didn’t know what to do, just the thought made him feel uneasy. The bad kind of uneasy, the kind of uneasy you get when you’re about to hear awful news for the first time, not the excited uneasy when trying something new.

With an exhausted sigh, Patton tried to remain positive as the trail led to the local high school. Was his soulmate a teacher? A janitor? Maybe a parent stopping by to pick up their kid early? Or were they giving a talk to the students? Either way, Patton checked the time and was thankful that he didn’t have to try and explain to someone that he had to go wandering around the school to find his soulmate. Fifteen minutes wasn’t such a long wait anyway..

… Okay maybe it’s a long wait when your mind is positively racing with anxiety. Patton had been so lost in his own mind, it took a woman - probably a member of staff going by her attire - talking to him to pull him out of his daze,

“Sir? The last of the students are leaving, are you still waiting on your child?”

He shook his head, “Ah, no, that’s not it, see, I’m looking for-”

Pat wasn’t able to finish. Just as he looked over her shoulder, he spotted his soulmate, the pink trail glowing behind and around him. Gentle looking, perhaps only a couple of years Patton’s senior, wearing a light brown cardigan over a pink tie and white button up shirt. His pressed black pants would have clashed with his adorable pink sneakers if they didn’t suit him so well. Not to mention the pink streak in his dark hair or the numerous cute badges adorning the cardigan. Oh God this was too soon. Far too soon. As his soulmate pushed up his glasses, Patton became aware of the woman still waiting on an answer.

…… Nope, he can’t do this-

Patton made a small whining noise as he turned and took off down the street. He can’t do this. He can’t face his soulmate. Not like this! Not while he was still a mess!! Not while he wasn’t able to be the partner his soulmate surely deserved. Patton hadn’t even met him formally, but already he knew he didn’t want to let him down, not someone who was so clearly a wonderful person.

For a moment, Patton began to wonder what was wrong with him. He liked him. His soulmate. That much was clear. One glance and he couldn’t get the sweet expression on his face out of his head, yet he didn’t feel an ounce of any romantic feelings for him. Not one.

He stopped to catch his breath once he’d hit the nearest bench - he narrowly avoided ramming straight into the damn thing - and tried to work out what to do. Pat knew he couldn’t avoid him forever, of course, after all the trail-

Oh no, the trail-!!

Patton looked behind him just in time to lock eyes with his soulmate while he was tripping over the curb and falling flat on his face in his pursuit.

“Great, now’s my chance to run.”, Patton thought, but upon noting that the man seemed to be hurt, his conscience wouldn’t let him retreat. Damnit. Swallowing the pit in his stomach, Patton rushed to his aid,

“Are you alright!?”, Patton asked, offering a hand to help him up.

His soulmate beamed up at him, smiling brightly despite the fact his nose was bleeding from the impact with the ground as he took said hand,

“Yeah! I’m a little banged up but don’t worry about me, are you alright um..?”

“Patton.”

“Patton!”, his soulmate beamed, unaware of how it was breaking Pat’s heart, “I’m Emile Picani, do you how do?”

Patton was surprised to find himself chuckling at Emile’s antics despite his growing anxiety. “Oh jeez, he IS my soulmate..”, Patton caught himself thinking, unsuccessfully hiding his disappointment with himself in his expression. Emile noted the crack in Patton’s happy facade and decided to try and be light-hearted in his approach, “Hm, lemme rephrase my question; eeeeeh what’s up, Pat?”.

It was a terrible Bugs Bunny impression, but it did get a smile out of Patton. Oh boy, he still didn’t want to have this conversation…

“.... How about I bandage you up a little, then we talk?”

Emile agreed and the two sat down on the bench while Patton opened up his satchel and took out his cartoon network print plasters, a sight that had Emile excitedly bouncing his leg. Of all the people to be his soulmate, Patton couldn’t have asked for a better match, if only…

“Are you a father?”, Emile queried, catching Patton off guard.

“Wh-What?”, he stammered in surprise.

“Your bandaids, I thought perhaps you-”

“Oh, no, no!! I don’t have kids, but I work at the local daycare. It’s my day off today.”, he explained. Emile nodded, “I see! I work at the high school- well, you know that you, found me there, I mean I’m the school’s student councillor. I’m sorry if my assumption upset you, Pat.”

Patton shook his head, “No, no, it’s fine!”, he waved off the concern as he silently got to work with the bandaids. The assumption hadn’t upset him, well, not in the way Emile probably thought; he hadn’t known Emile for a day and yet Patton knew he wanted Emile in his life forever, but… surely his soulmate would be looking for a husband. A lover. Someone to have romantic nights out with and someone who would love him back. But Patton couldn’t do that. He felt a form of love for the man but the idea of them getting married or anything like that just-

He was pulled from his simultaneous daydream and bandaging work as he listened to Emile hum something familiar. At first, Patton couldn’t pin down where he knew it from, however, as Emile hummed more, Patton recognised the faint singing he was doing under his breath;

“When you trip on your face and your teeth are misplaced..”

“Friends are there to help you.”, Patton sang in continuation, returning the excited grin Emile bore, “Ed, Edd, ‘n’ Eddy, right? I haven’t watched the show in years.”, he admitted.

Emile beamed brightly, “Oh my goodness, really?! Well I have the entire series on DVD! If you want, we can go back to my place and-”

The churning feeling was back. Patton had heard about this song and dance before. What was it his friend Virgil had called it? Netflix and chill? No, that’s the more R-rated song and dance, isn’t it? Either way, Patton’s displeasure must’ve shown on his face as Emile gently placed a hand over Patton’s,

“What’s got you feeling blue there, my diamond?”

Patton couldn’t help but give an exhausted smile at that. Steven Universe references now. Lord help him, he’s about to break this poor man’s heart. Gathering what little courage he could muster, Patton tried as best he could to explain,

“Emile, you’re wonderful. I just want to make it really crystal clear, ah ha, that it’s not you, it’s me...”, Patton began, noting the way Emile appreciated his attempt to lighten the mood, “But I can’t return your feelings. Not um, not in the love-dovey way, I mean! I really like you, but as a friend?? Gee, I’m sorry, I wish I could love-love you back, but I-! Romance just, I can’t do it and I don’t want to hurt you because you’re so nice, but- ! Ugh! This is so confusing-”

“Oh thank God.”

What. Patton locked eyes with Emile to see genuine relief wash over him, a couple of tears welling up in his eyes as he explained, “I thought I was gonna have to explain me being aromantic to you and hope you weren’t against it-”

“Wait, wait, aro-what?”, Patton asked, perplexed.

Emile took a second, realising what was happening, “Oh, Pat. Um, right, let me explain; I’m aromantic - and genderfluid by the way, I use all pronouns and such but don’t you worry about that right now.”, Emile assured him, continuing, “Being aromantic means you don’t feel any, or very few, romantic feelings for anyone. You might like some things generally considered romantic but enjoy them platonically! Take me for example! I, much like Olaf, like warm hugs! And platonic kisses are a-okay with me too! But if you’re not into that stuff, of course-”

“Oh, no I am!!”, Patton beamed, feeling like a weight had been torn from his shoulders, “I really like physical affection, but I like it from everyone really! I’m just so happy I’m not breaking your heart here..”

“Aw Pat..”, Emile opened his arms wide, giving Patton a look of genuine adoration, “Awkward Soulmate Hug?”

Appreciating the Gravity Falls reference, Patton chuckled, “Awkward Soulmate Hug.”

The hug was far from awkward. If anything it was the best hug Patton had been given all year.
