Cotugno shared some NEVER BEFORE SEEN deleted scenes from A Tale of Two Stans over on Tik Tok! These include Ford encountering mermaids and a mysterious traffic light creature!

The scene of Ford "kissing" a deer is more suggestive than Bill licking it

There's an interview with Alex in 2017 where he says that as soon as Bill got the formula, he would kill Ford. From that point on, I accepted that this relationship was "invented" last year for the Fujoshis to help promote the book. But after reading these scenes and thinking about it better, I see that this relationship is something that was built long before, but it wasn't so "explicit" because it's a show for kids. Because first, Bill didn't know he was trapped in Gravity Falls. He could have killed Ford as soon as he managed to free himself, but he didn't. In addition to transforming a golden trophy wife, he licked her spit, and THEN pretended that the deer was Bill kissing Ford, not to mention the very affectionate nicknames. I really wanted a "more adult" cartoon that would show Adult Swim, showing this relationship more canon and other characters.

depending on his current mood and state of mind, his reaction to someone showing romantic interest in you ranges from:

1) heartache,

feels like he doesn't deserve you, that he isn't good enough for you, he's not your type and also he is too old for you

self-esteem on the floor, feels like a kicked puppy seeing you flirt with someone else

over 2) mild annoyance; 'what's so interesting about them?'

what could they possible give you? why are you even talking to them, you already said you aren't interested in them

to 3) almost hostile towards the other person

all in all just one big mess of feelings

through something supernatural or otherwise dangerous yes, but also trough some stupid mistake on his side and interpersonal problems

he is afraid he will mess up one day. then you will start seeing him as someone not worthy of your love and find someone better

it is one constant battle between his low self-worth and his god complex/admittedly somewhat inflated ego

Oh, hey I just realized I never posted this alternate scene from Stars Align. For Double Dipper, I had originally planned some Stan Twin hijinks with Stan using his old picture of himself and Ford in the boxing ring to get some help getting the journal from Dipper and being side tracked by all the Dipper clones. It was originally going to be a darker chapter that ended on Copy!Stan getting melted while trying to save the Dipper clones from the sprinkler and Copy!Ford not being able to let his brother die without him. And OG!Stan being devastated by losing his brother again:)

Unfortunately, that avenue was just too difficult to put into the plot bc Stan wouldn’t get out of bed again for the next adventure. Also way too revealing of major secrets 👀

So we have Wendy and Soos side quest instead!

i'm back and have a slight change to stan and ford's designs !! had my bestie reccomend making stan and ford slightly different shades of red, which i really liked. i tried to make ford's color closer to his sweater, while stan's is closer to the color of his fez :)

So, as I've stated in my last post, I've began to write my final draft for the first chapter of my AU's fanfic. However, I added a "(?)" because I figured, knowing myself, there would most likely be a couple of things I would remove to add in. And I was correct. There was a portion I initially liked, but realized seemed so random in the chapter, so I removed it. However, I didn't just want to delete it altogether, so I'm posting it here. Enjoy!

When he first entered the elevator, he was extremely confident and optimistic about how his first impression would be recieved. Now that his thoughts had been given some time to simmer from the long ride, he couldn't help his worries piling up at the front of his mind. What if he messed up? What if he said something wrong and offended everyone there and he had no genius to blanket his fall, since intellect wasn't vital the acting industry? Or, furthermore, what if it turns out he's not at all the good actor Stan assured him he was and made an utter fool out of himself? He could just picture the headline: "Dr. Ford — Brilliant Scientist Turned Actor Laughingstock."

Oh, Moses, what was he thinking! He had to leave this elevator this instant, one way or another.

His fingers resumed the activity of tapping the shiny, metallic railing attached to and surrounding the glossy walls of the elevator — this time at a much rapid pace than before. (He hadn't even realized he had stopped.)

Tappity-tappity-tap.

His brown eyes scanned through the assortment of buttons, searching for something that would allow him to pause or stop the electrical contraction. It didn't matter what it did as long as it would save him from future humiliation.

Fun fact about me: For some reason, I have a tendency to write my protagonists having mental breakdowns in the first chapter of my fics (original and fanfiction alike). Usually, it doesn't feel random and fits in quite well, since those first chapters also tend to be very dramatic and impactful on my protagonist's emotional state. Here, it doesn't work. Stan has already assured him he'll do fine. Sure, he still can worry and be anxious about his reception to everyone (I know I would *cough cough* anxiety disorder *cough cough*), but it doesn't feel too in character for Ford, especially at the moment. So, I'm deleting the scene.
