I love your art. You go to college for graohic design, right? Do you do any kind of art there like what you usually post here, or is it all more abstract and such, like the typography hws you've sometimes shown?

yea its generally not stuff im interested in sharing. like, posters for made up events and exercises in design and typographic layouts and stuff. ive been able to force my interest in tmnt into a lot of my homework recently but not in a way that would make me wanna post it here.

graphic design i what i wanna do for work, illustration/comics is what i do for fun, and its what im most proud of.

Osborne Shiwan was founded in 2006 by Lloyd Osborne and Shabnam Shiwan. recognised internationally within areas of commerce, culture and arts

born in London, England

Soent early days in village of Battlesbridge within civil parish of Rettendon 

His family dreamed of adventures, resided in a ting cottage beside the river crouch

Emigrated to nz in 1970, settled i. AKL suburb of Titirangi -native bush clad area known for its beauty and bohemianism, with many talented musicians, artists and writers living there

Lloyd approached business of design with an intellectual rigour and cultural sensitivity

Designed brands such as Karen Walker, Deadly Ponies and Knuefermann

Wirk has been recognised by best awards NZ, he’s also been a judge

Shabnam Shiwan

Born in Laukota, Fiji, grew up in Pacific Icean near tropical rainforests and colourful marines

Being Indian she and her family carried traditions of a place journeyed from generations ago, no longer home but forever in their heart

Emigrated to STH AKL in 1980s Shabnam experienced melting pot of different cultures - this continues in ber work today

Creative director at ALT group and Saatchi & Saatchi Design Worldwide

Done several international positions - judge in Clio USA , Red Dots award in Germany, TDC USA, AIGA USA, and One Show USA

Work has been exhibited in objectslace and published in Graphis, USA

Design is very linear, rhymical

The rhymical line work of both the typography and slicing and manipulating of the images reflect the movements of dancers

Work is very contemporary

Luscious movements in hypnotically repeating patterns, it also shows the fragmented movements

Stephen McCarthy

Left school in 1990, worked in record shops, played in bands and designed band posters

Strong emphasis in social change work with design and campaigns

Te Uaka

Uses juxtaposing shapes, square and circle that represent the two different cultures

how it the shape intertwines and works together to create a visual identity 

utilised in Logo - the T and U can be seen in slight colour variation, may look like a square that consists of shapes

explores notion and duality

pigment/colour is found from natural sources - brown came from local representative from the local Maori Hapu, used extensively on buildings and structures.

Tulutuku design was devekoped by weavers, kairaranga

Born 1987 Otautahi Christchurch

Lives and works in AKL

Works across painting, drawing and sculpting

Explores histories of Maori and Pakeha in her work

Ayesha Green tells stories of family and apirations and history of her family

Currently watching: I don't really watch shows, and when I do I binge them immediately, but I currently have Life of a Teenage Kraken, Mad God (rewatching), and Chimp Empires on my roster. Tempted to watch one of them right now, but I wanna save them for a time when I'm working on my current project, and I don't plan to do that tonight :(

Currently reading: lots of fanfiction, House of Leaves : Mark Z Danielewski (reread), a fuckton of other stuff I haven't touched in a while.

Current obsession: this fucking project oh my GOD (sub-topics include storyboarding, filmography, 3D modeling, lighting, animation, graphic design (even though i fucking hate graohic design), my characters, etc). Mad God (movie). Art and animation (especially in film) in general. HOL (always). TOTK. Bonus fandom I will not be sharing on this account.

I've been ranting about most of these a lot here already. I'll probably make an actual Tumblr post about Mad God soon (which I'm just gonna scrape from a really long comment I posted in Discord a couple days ago). And I'm so tempted to straight up just go off the deep end with all of my thoughts on my current project, but I've already been sharing a lot of them lately, and also I've found that if I don't engage At All with it for hours at a time, I will be more likely to still be interested and want to work on it. So tonight is a No Project Night and is meant to be both an opportunity to fix my fucked up sleep schedule and a night to at most quietly brainstorm some loose ideas WITHOUT putting in actual work. So I'm doing that :). Hoping this becomes a new way I can cheese my debilitating executive disfunction.
