Granny story pt1 There was a kid about five years old who always wanted to run around in the street. Never trying to play with kids his age, but love pushing himself with the big kids. Now granny would have to keep an eye on the kid because he was bound to get in trouble. "Oh Lord" you'll hear her say when the kid didn't put a jacket on when it was cold. "Jesus please watch my baby" what you'll here before the kid left the house. Worse of all the fear that was put on the kid if he ever came home late because granny would pray nothing bad happened to her baby. The kid kept his nose clean ( what the kid's mom would say) but the kid would listen to Granny's stories everyday. Granny's stories was the best until it was time for bed, but the kid wanted to live up to the expectations Granny bestowed on him. Just keeping his nose clean wasn't enough, not being a God fearing man wasn't a enough no granny wanted the kid to do something at the time was unattainable... Granny wanted her baby to become a kind man, a humble husband (not quiet there yet) and most of a protector and provider. Granny gave the kid the gift of her strongest blessing, as this blessing energy couldn't be wasted. Granny kissed the kid, and told him "When you was five you was running now never stop running!" Granny faith, granny wisdom, and most of all the strength that her daughter have (the kid's mom) is now what burns in the kid. Meet Edna, she's older than the Empire State Building, and just as tough! We discuss Hebrew vs. Yiddish, being a New York pubic school teacher, and remembering Pearl Harbor or 9/11 as a kid. We also talk about sexual harassment through the decades and Edna's timeless solution, a hat pin! Her stories cover world travel, from Turkey to Peru and all the archaeological ruins in between, all that in a dress of course. We end the episode with some much needed advice for the younger generations.
