"Dash and Racket moved onto the Smiths farm after GrannySmith and MacApple passed. Both Crumb and Jackie were understandably left depressed by this, but Jackie put on her strong Big Sister face and kept working. J quickly realized she couldn’t maintain a farm as large as theirs all by herself but the other girls were busy with their own stuff(everyone but Dash, hashtag unemployed).

Dash is very much a ‘showy’ type of pony(see: gay eyeliner, gay piercings) but as the element of L̶o̶y̶a̶l̶t̶y̶ HONESTY she honors her promise and actually helps out a lot around the farm. It’s a tough adjustment at first. She goes from living in the clouds where dirt is virtually unheard of. To living In dirt Every. Day.

Jackie and Dash butt heads A LOT in the beginning. Dash is consumed by procrastination and general Don’t Give a Fuck disease so a lot of her work to start is extremely half-assed. Racket, who obviously really looks up to Dash, started emulating that behavior and she realized she couldn’t afford to not give af especially while a goofy little gremlin is imprinting on her.

Greetings friends! I am a Welsknight fictive. As to contribute to the current ask game, I remember really likin those edible gold nuggets from my world! Golden carrots especially. Buuut if you want to get more exotic, I remember Chorus Fruits tasting soury with a tingly aftertaste. Kind of like green apples (grannysmith apples) in this world. But more fluffier, I suppose? They were pretty good in my opinion. Unfortunately those dont exist here, or well, unobtainable through regular means. Closest ones I've tried are those chocolate coins and the previously mentioned Grannysmith apples. I really miss eating those treats! Our Biograft would also like to mention that Oil tastes awful in this human form. Which I mean, yeah. Sorry that youre stuck with us in this fleshy form buddy, Haha! -⚔️🗡️🦅x

i just thought of something funny, what if Docs known human Grannysmith Apple since she was a little girl, i'm imaging that the BArlow gang helped out the apple farm with ether a bandit group or a greedy land owner, and for a little while the gang hid out and helped on the farm. but i'm not sure the time frame adds up, it just adds to the whole "all old people know each other"thing Doc has going.

I think the numbers can be fudged around with in our favor!

TARTE TATIN

Ingrédients :

Pour la pâte sablée

250 g de farine T55 120 g de beurre froid 25 g de sucre semoule 1 jaune d’œuf 2 cuillères à soupe d’eau froide pincée de sel et de cannelle

Pour la tarte 5 grosses pommes 200 g de sucre roux 190 g de beurre 60 g de beurre 1 citron

1. Préparation de la pâte sablée

Former un puits avec la farine tamisée. Déposer le beurre bien froid au centre. Ajouter le sel et la cannelle et bien amalgamer l’ensemble rapidement. Ajouter le sucre puis l’œuf. Mélanger à nouveau et ajouter l’eau froide. Former une boule lisse, la filmer et la laisser reposer au frais toute une nuit.

2. Préparation de la tarte

Étaler la pâte entre deux feuilles de papier cuisson après l’avoir laissée reposée quelques minutes, découper un cercle aux dimensions du moule et placer au congélateur une vingtaine de minutes.

Faire préchauffer le four à 190°.

Éplucher les pommes, les couper en quatre, éliminer les pépins, les réserver dans un bol d’eau citronné.

Réaliser un caramel à sec, une fois noisette, ajouter 190 g de beurre hors du feu, mélanger soigneusement puis ajouter le jus de citron et porter à ébullition. Le caramel doit être parfaitement homogène. Disposer les pommes hors du feu en les insérant bien dans le caramel. Ajouter les 60 g de beurre restant sur les pommes. Couvrir avec une feuille de papier aluminium et faire cuire pendant 40 minutes. Baisser la température du four à 180° et laisser tiédir les pommes quelques minutes puis disposer le disque de pâte sur les pommes et enfourner pendant trente minutes. Laisser refroidir à température ambiante puis toute une nuit au réfrigérateur. Cette étape permettra un démoulage plus simple et uniforme et donnera un meilleur aspect à la tarte.

3. Finitions et dressage

Faire chauffer le moule sur feu vif, couvrir d’une assiette de service, retourner, secouer une ou deux fois très vivement et démouler.

Déguster avec de la crème fraîche de qualité ou une boule de glace à la vanille Bourbon.

NOTE : Le choix des pommes est primordial, éliminer les variétés qui ne tiennent pas la cuisson. Pour cette tarte nous utilisons les variétés suivantes : Canada, Honeycrisp, Rome Beauty ou Grannysmith
