Wake up, BurningCheese/GoldenSpice babes, new poorly drawn blorbos just dropped
They look cooler in my head, I swear.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the images didn't show up the first time wtf lol
The kids are finally here, yay. I promised I'd show you them, and I finally stopped being an asshole and followed through. Almost got 200 followers and I'm very grateful for it - really, I'm nobody. I'm just some clown who says dumb stuff and makes dumb memes and writes cringey stories, and yet I convinced almost 200 people to tune in. Thank you all so much, users on here and anons in my inbox alike. As a token of appreciation, you can all endure my rambling about my OCs and witness a person in their early 20s draw like a 12 year old.
The boy is Pepper Jack (or Pepper Jack Cookie). He's the firstborn and older than his sister by a few years. He takes after his mother in a lot of ways, primarily in her appearance (save for nabbing his father's red eyes). He's incredibly bright (and a smartass lol), preferring to think his way out of conflict rather than fight his way out... not that he's above violence at all, if that glaive doesn't give it away lol. He harbors a deep sense of love and loyalty towards his family and his peoples, and carries the weight of his responsibilities and heritage with as much confidence and poise as he can muster. (There are/will be times where he stumbles, of course. He's not perfect. He struggles a lot more than he lets on, really. But he tries his best, for everyone's sake.)
The girl is Matar Paneer (or Matar Paneer Cookie). Again, she's the younger one by a few years. She was all but made in her father's image, save for inheriting her mother's eyes. She's a little firecracker: lively and fun-loving and stubborn as a mule. She doesn't ask "can I have/do this thing", she tells you "I'm going to have/do this thing". Golden is proud as anything to see her daughter be so greedy... until that greed comes into conflict with her and Spice's authority lol. But she's a good kid, despite being such a handful. She has an enormous heart and is not afraid to stand up for others/what's right, and she loves her parents and brother more than anything in the world. She might doubt her own capabilities, she might secretly fear that she's not strong enough to do what she needs to... but she keeps pushing anyway, because she'd honestly choose death over quitting.
Your eyes are not deceiving you, Pepper Jack's wings are blue lol. There's an actual reason for that. And that USO (Unidentified Sitting Object) in Matar Paneer's hair is a lotus (the cheese one in the GCK decor set lol). There's a reason for that, too. I thought it would be cool to give Jack a glaive and swap out the normal blade for that of a khopesh sword (glaives are not Egyptian, they only saw use in Asia and Europe, but I just HAD to give him a glaive), to add that Egyptian touch. Paneer's supposed to be wearing a pattu pavadai, it's a traditional Indian dress for young girls. It's a blouse plus a skirt. She's holding katar, Indian knives (Cilantro Cobra has them, too). And her hair's supposed to be in a low ponytail.
Merchant thinks that if they explain what their terrible drawings are supposed to convey, people will understand their intended vision and the pain will stop
I sat down and did research into both Egyptian and Hindu mythology for the sake of drawing inspiration for them both. I'll explain in detail in another post, but basically: both of them take after one Egyptian god and one Hindu god each. Golden takes after Ra and Spice takes after Shiva, so I figured I'd follow along that line.
Please flood my inbox with questions about them now. I've really been dying to talk about them for ages now. I've drafted extensive character sheets for them both, I even made up in-game descriptions for them lol. They're my little fankid blorbos and I love them :') I hope you all come to love them, too
(Also, I'm sorry they're on lined paper. I'm visiting family rn and that's the only paper my grandmother has in her house. I'd have to drive to a stationery to get printer paper and I'd really rather not drive in this particular country lol (shit roads, even shittier drivers). I'll doodle them on printer paper whenever somebody remembers to bring me some)

He met my family in the summer,
At family dinner cooking together.
And in my dreams, he met my grandmother
As she taught us to make caramel rice balls
We will spend the upcoming holidays
Trying to recreate.

[First cuts to Nathan and Teresa getting ready for their night out. Their son Barry(who is aged three at this timeline) is playing with his toys. It is said that two special relatives of his father are coming to babysit him]
Barry: Where are you going dad, mom?
Nathan: Well, me and mommy are gonna go somewhere for tonight
Barry: But I'm gonna be all alone in the house
Teresa: Oh you won't dear
Nathan: In the meantime, I'll have my two special relatives of mine to babysit you while we're gone
Barry: What's "babysit" mean
Teresa: It's a task giving by an adult to look after children when their parents are out
Barry: Oh, right
Nathan: [hears the doorbell] Looks like they have arrived [Barry gets up, and walks to his dad as he gets to the door]
[Nathan opens the door and sees a darker grey female cat wearing a hazel brown dress and a darker grey male cat wearing a jade green suit with lighter stripes]
???: Ah, Nathan! My mira nepos(wonderful grandson)
Nathan: Hey grandma
Nathan: Hey grandpa
???: Buonasera(Good evening), Nathan [pats his grandson's head]
???: Teresa, my carus(dear)
Teresa: Cinnamon!
Cinnamon: Oh how it is wonderful to see you
Teresa: Piperita, wonderful to see you too
Piperita: Grateful as always Teresa
[Nathan and Teresa speak with Cinnamon and Piperita for a while. As for Barry, he was playing “Sherlock Paws” with his plushies]
Teresa: Barry?
Barry: Yeah mom?
Teresa: We're gonna go now Barry [she kissed her son's cheek]
Nathan: [lifts Barry up] We will back till your bedtime, okay [kissed his son's cheek] [Teresa leaves the room, his grandparents came in]
Cinnamon: Hello my little darling
Nathan: Barry, this is your great grandmother Cinnamon
Barry: …Hello
Cinnamon: Ah Barry, my great grandson. I have heard so much about you dear Barry
Barry: [points at Piperita] Who's that… behind you?
Cinnamon: This is my husband; Piperita
Piperita: Hello, Barry
Barry: Hi
Nathan: See you later Barry
Barry: Bye dad. Bye mom
[Nathan and Teresa left the house. While Barry, Cinnamon and Piperita watch them at the window]
[It cuts to them in the kitchen. Barry was sitting at the table. He was looking at Piperita rolling the dough, then he tossed it into the air until it became a flat circle. He spreads a spoonful of red tomato sauce all over the circle. Cinnamon came around with one bowl full of grated cheese and one bowl full of sliced up fish and salmon. Barry was fuzzled of what are his great grandparents are making by the counter]
[15 minutes later. Piperita opens the oven door and he is now taking the dish which is a fish and salmon pizza out of the oven]
Piperita: Finito–(Finished–) [he places it on the table]
Barry: [looks in awe, his eyes sparkling] Whoa–
Piperita: Italians like myself called this capolavoro(masterpiece)... Pizza! [he pulls out a circular pizza cutter, which he cuts a slice out of it] Puoi mangiare, ragazzo(You may eat, boy)
[Barry takes the pizza slice and eats it. His eyes are sparkling by the consuming delight of this wonderful dish. He immediately eats it all up]
[2 hours came, it was now Barry's bedtime. Despite that, the three are watching a film in the living room]
Piperita: Well, Nathan and Teresa are gonna be back till bedtime, Barry [latter nods in response]
[While they are almost at the end of the film, Barry's eyes begin to feel drowsy, meaning that he is starting to get tired. He lays his head on the side of Piperita's body. Piperita and Cinnamon see him falling asleep on him]
Cinnamon: ¡Ay, qué linda!(Oh, how pretty!)
[Piperita lets out a chuckle, he looks at Cinnamon and she looks at him]
Piperita: Ti amo, fascino mio(I love you, my charm)
Cinnamon: Te quoque amo, mi smaragdus(I love you too, my emerald)
[Then it cuts to Barry's bedroom. Piperita lays him gently in his bed, and he places the blanket over him and his plush to the right side of him]
Cinnamon: [whispers] Te quoque amo, mi smaragdus(Good night, my dear) [she then gently kisses him on the forehead]
Piperita: Dormi bene, pronipote(Sleep well, great grandson) [rubs his head gently, which the lil cat smiles while sleeping]
[An hour later. Nathan and Teresa came back from their night out. They didn't notice that Cinnamon and Piperita have left already and they even already put their son to bed]

The Power of Compassion in Everyday Life with Respecting Opinions Even When We Disagree
In a world that often feels chaotic and divided, especially with Election Day right around the corner, the choice to be kind can have a profound impact. In our diverse world, differing opinions are inevitable. Whether in conversations with friends, family discussions, or online debates, we often encounter viewpoints that challenge our own beliefs. While it’s natural to feel defensive or frustrated when faced with opposing ideas, choosing kindness and respecting others' opinions can lead to healthier interactions and personal growth. Here are some compelling reasons to choose kindness every day.
Fostering Understanding
Respecting differing opinions opens the door to understanding. When we approach conversations with kindness, we create a safe space for dialogue. This willingness to listen allows us to gain insights into others’ perspectives, which can enrich our own understanding of complex issues. By engaging respectfully, we acknowledge that everyone has unique experiences and backgrounds that shape their beliefs.
Kindness Creates Connections
At its core, kindness fosters connections between people. A simple act—a smile, a compliment, or a helping hand—can break down barriers and build relationships. When we choose kindness, we create an environment where empathy thrives, and genuine connections flourish. These relationships can provide support, joy, and a sense of belonging.
Building Stronger Relationships
Disagreements can strain relationships, but kindness and respect can help bridge the gap. When we demonstrate an openness to differing viewpoints, we build trust and strengthen our connections. Friends and family members are more likely to feel valued and heard, leading to deeper, more meaningful relationships—even in the face of disagreement.
Kindness Boosts Well-Being
Research has shown that performing acts of kindness can enhance our mental and emotional well-being. Helping others releases endorphins, often referred to as the “helper’s high.” This boost in mood can reduce stress, anxiety, and feelings of loneliness, leading to a more positive outlook on life.
Modeling Respectful Behavior
In a world where divisive rhetoric can dominate discussions, choosing to respect differing opinions sets a positive example. By demonstrating kindness and respect, we encourage others to do the same. This ripple effect can lead to more compassionate interactions both online and offline, contributing to a culture of understanding.
Kindness is Contagious
When we practice kindness, we inspire others to do the same. A kind gesture can create a ripple effect, encouraging those around us to spread positivity. Whether it’s paying for someone’s coffee or volunteering in the community, acts of kindness can inspire a chain reaction, creating a more compassionate world.
Kindness Promotes Inclusivity
In times of division and conflict, choosing kindness can help bridge gaps and promote inclusivity. By showing compassion and understanding to others, we can foster environments where everyone feels valued and accepted. This inclusivity enhances community spirit and encourages diverse perspectives, leading to richer conversations and experiences.
Reducing Conflict and Tension
Disagreements often lead to unnecessary conflict and tension. Choosing kindness and respect can diffuse heated situations, allowing us to navigate differences more calmly. By focusing on understanding rather than winning an argument, we contribute to a more peaceful environment, both personally and within our communities.
Kindness Enhances Perspective
Choosing kindness often requires us to consider the feelings and experiences of others. This practice cultivates empathy and helps us gain perspective on situations we might not fully understand. When we approach others with kindness, we become more open-minded and accepting, which can lead to personal growth and improved relationships.
Kindness is a Gift to Yourself
When we choose to be kind, we not only uplift others but also enrich our own lives. Kindness can lead to increased self-esteem and satisfaction, as we recognize our ability to make a difference. This sense of purpose can be incredibly fulfilling and encourages a positive mindset.
Kindness Builds Resilience
In a world filled with challenges, kindness can help us build resilience. Acts of kindness remind us of the good in humanity and can provide comfort during difficult times. Supporting one another through compassion fosters a sense of community and strength, helping us navigate life’s ups and downs together.
Kindness is Powerful
Never underestimate the impact of a single act of kindness. Whether it’s offering a listening ear, sharing a compliment, or lending a hand, these small gestures can profoundly affect someone’s day or even their life. Choosing kindness empowers us to create positive change, no matter how small.
Conclusion
Choosing kindness and respecting others’ opinions—even when we disagree—is essential for fostering understanding, building strong relationships, and promoting a culture of compassion. By engaging in respectful dialogue, we not only enhance our own lives but also contribute to a more harmonious society. Let’s commit to embracing kindness in our conversations, acknowledging that differing opinions can coexist and that respect is key to meaningful dialogue. In a world where we can choose to be anything, let’s choose to be kind.

i just have no words. this film changed me im not even joking it’s so so wonderful and amazing and beautiful and heartbreaking and intricate and raw :( i just love the spiderverse films so much. the diversity the absolute laser attention to detail the complex characters the family the friendship the mf soundtrack the beauty of so many different people from all walks of life being heroes the notion that you belong that you’re allowed to take up space and you’re meant to tell your story the way you want to and write it the way you want to i just love these movies so so so much they need to be playing on a loop in their own exhibition in the MoMA
