Uhhh tangent of a tangent. "Hb critical fans" looove spewing bullshit, 100%, but I do understand where much of their frustration with Stella's treatment by the fandom comes from, because you've literally got people opposing the idea that maybe developing a character past being a cardboard cutout of what constitutes as a "bad person" would be good for both the plot and the main characters' conflict with them

a theory that im currently obsessed with and can’t stop thinking about is that max’s death wasn’t an accident and grace’s intention was always for someone to die that night!! and that she knew of the lords in black before solomon lauter ever told her about them and her intention was always to get involved with them BECAUSE THEY CAN GIVE HER POWER TO TAKE OUT ALL OF THE DIRTY DUDES

GUYS WHAT IF GRACE CHASTITY IS SMARTER THAN ANY OF US ARE GIVING HER CREDIT FOR.

i don’t necessarily believe it; however i do think there is a lot of interesting evidence for it SPECIFICALLY in grace’s song at the end of the show.

the line that sticks out to me is “you think the time that i was chaste was being waste on a holy mission” because it refers to the time that she was chaste, which was before she ever had sex with max jagerman. implying that she maybe possibly knew more than she let on???

grace also barely had to be persuaded to do the ritual, which would be pretty crazy for someone who is supposedly a devout christian opposed to satanism.

i don’t know the more i’m typing it the less sense it’s making but. i think it’s interesting to think about!!! and i would love it if someone smarter than me could articulate what i’m saying better LMAO
