The absence of so many brothers was glaringly obvious during the jaunt off the hellish planet Umbara had turned out to be. Tups mind had not stopped running in circles since Krell hit the deck, Dogma's terrified gaze meeting his own over the mans fallen body. *"I had to!-"* the intrusion of his brothers vouce replayed, too loud in his head over the voices that surrounded him. All familliar, and yet *wrong...* Face falling under the cover of his newly painted, not quite as shiny bucket, Tup resigned himself to the horrible feeling of dread that sunk in under his skin. Even with bothers squished together beside them, vibrances bumping along the grabrail, Tup has never felt more alone.

Somewhere in his head, Tup knows any of their brothers, even captian Rex, Commander Cody himself, could die at any given time. It's what they were made for. What he was made for. Somehow, knowing Dogma isn't dead, but snatched up by the Coruscant to be brought back to Kamino where his fate is already decided... it's much, much worse.

His head hurts. His heart hurts. There's a burning inside his chest that spreads, grows like wildfire when the memory knife digs away at memories of his best friend. Maya had called it "anxiety." Dogma had paled at he word while she explained. Clones are not supposed to have *anxiety.* Ever thoughtful and several steps ahead, the nurse reached out to give Dogma's hand a squeeze. *"I would never tell a soul. Just remember, you boys are as human and real as the rest of us. Existing in this life is bound to come with those feelings, but we can manage them."* Tup had felt his own smouldering fire spark as he watched his brothers expression, blank and creased with his concern of the situation. Finally he nodded very slightly, glancing at tup with a slight tug of his lips. *"Thank you."*

That flicker of a smile was the last time Tup had seen the rarity on Dogmas face. Reality came rushing back, hitting hard asthe ship jolted in its journey, beginning to slow its decent.

Blinking as he processed the memory he had gotten lost in, the young man found another blessing inside his bucket, cheeks wet, salt on his tongue.

His head hurts.

Everything hurts.

In his numbmess, taking stock of himself, Tup isn't sure he will ever not hurt again.

National Construction Code Updates - 1 May 2024

Welcome to our latest update on the Australian National Construction Code, effective from 1 May 2024. In this video, Audrey Whisker will walk you through key changes in livable housing, energy efficiency, and more, ensuring you're up-to-date with the latest standards for building and renovating. Good morning, everyone. I’m Audrey Whisker, principal architect at Whisker Architecture. Today, I’m discussing updates to the Australian National Construction Code (NCC) effective from 1 May 2024. Before we dive into the changes, this presentation is made public to create awareness. By consuming this content, you are aware that you still have the responsibility to check with your local statutory authorities to see how this does or may affect your project.

I won't be going through every clause that's changed. What I will be providing is an overview of six main areas: Livable Housing, Energy Efficiency, Other Residential Updates, Condensation Mitigation, Waterproofing of Wet Areas, and a look ahead to upcoming changes. These changes aim to make homes more adaptable and easier to use for people of all ages and abilities. The requirements apply to all new Class 1a buildings (houses, row houses, terraces, townhouses, and villa units) and Class 2 buildings (apartment buildings, but only inside the apartments).

Livable housing design involves creating homes that can adapt to the changing needs of occupants over time. This includes reducing or eliminating steps wherever possible, providing more space in bathrooms and wider doorways, and ensuring that homes can be easily modified in the future by allowing for the structure for future grabrails in bathrooms. Costs we expect to be incurred and passed on to end consumers include design and drafting costs to update floor plan catalogues. There is a requirement for a step-free path from either the boundary or dedicated on-site parking space. For residential companies who typically exclude driveways from their quotes, this may require the addition of a path or a driveway to achieve a building permit. These features make homes accessible and convenient for everyone, including parents with prams, people with temporary or permanent injuries, seniors, and people with disabilities. It costs about 22% more to retrofit a home for accessibility than to include these features during initial construction. So, these changes support the concept of aging in place and reduce future costs of modifications.

Benefits of Livable Housing Design:

Aging in Place: Helps seniors stay in their homes longer and maintain independence.

Multigenerational Households: Makes it easier for families with multiple generations to live together.

Children: Facilitates easier movement and safety for children, including those with disabilities.

Visitors: Ensures that homes are welcoming and accessible to visitors with mobility issues.

The NCC 2024 introduces a series of changes aimed at reducing emissions and moving towards a net-zero future. These changes affect commercial buildings (Class 3 and Class 5 to 9 buildings) and the common areas of apartment buildings (Class 2 buildings).

The updates provide cost-effective, fuel- and technology-neutral methods to move towards a net-zero future. They also support the growing uptake of electric vehicles (EVs). The key changes include:

Deemed-to-Satisfy (DTS) Provisions: Cost-effective updates to improve energy efficiency.

EV Charging Infrastructure: Carparks must provide a dedicated electrical distribution (DB) board for EV charging, typically one DB per 24 parking spaces, properly labeled. EV charging equipment must include control systems to manage and schedule charging, handling loads and demand efficiently. Each circuit supporting EV charging must provide a minimum of 12kWh for standard charging and 48kWh for fast charging, with specific times for residential (11 pm to 7 am) and commercial (9 am to 5 pm) use.

Photovoltaics (PV): Buildings must have new distribution boards with space for future PV panels and battery systems, including two empty three-phase circuit breaker slots and four DIN rail spaces, labeled accordingly. Roof Space for PV: 20% of the building's roof must be left clear for future solar PV panel installation unless more than 50% of the roof area is used for other purposes like terraces, carparks, or roof gardens.

These measures are part of broader government initiatives to transition towards a renewable electricity grid, enabling future electrification by making it easier to replace gas-powered equipment with electric alternatives. From 1st May, new homes must now meet a minimum 7-star energy efficiency rating, up from the previous 6-star requirement. Achieving a 7-star rating means lower energy bills for homeowners and a reduced environmental footprint. This change is crucial as poorly insulated homes contribute to significant health risks. Studies have shown a 14.7% increase in deaths during winter, linked to cold weather and thermally inefficient housing.

The new Whole of Home assessment evaluates the expected annual energy use of a house, with a new limit on energy consumption. This assessment considers the type of heating and cooling equipment, type of hot water system, lighting, use of swimming pools and spas, and onsite renewable energy (PV systems). A home must achieve a score of 60 out of 100 to pass, with 100 being carbon neutral. Efficient appliances and PV systems will increase the score, while inefficient appliances and high-energy-use features will decrease it. The annual energy use budget for apartments is more lenient, recognizing the challenges of installing rooftop PV. The NCC now includes provisions for secondary dwellings, such as granny flats. In December 2023, the Victorian Government amended the Building Regulations 2018 to simplify the process for constructing small second dwellings (SSDs). Key points include:

Planning and Building Permits: If an SSD meets the exemption criteria from a planning permit, it might not require a building permit if classified as an unregistered movable dwelling (UMD), provided it can be removed within 24 hours.

Corner Blocks: Regulation 74 requires standard setbacks, and SSDs must be set back from the front wall of the main dwelling. For unusual situations, especially on corner blocks, builders may need to seek report and consent.

Attachment and Fire Separation: SSDs can be attached or detached from other structures but must meet fire separation requirements, with possible need for report and consent for access paths in accordance with Regulation 86B.

Private Open Space: Secluded private open space must be distinct and separate for SSDs.

Size Limitations: SSDs are capped at 60m² unless they receive a change of use approval.

Utilities: Issues like separate NBN services and mail delivery fall outside building regulations and need to be addressed with relevant agencies. Owners must ensure service provision for SSDs, often requiring custom solutions for backyards.

Sound transmission between apartments has been a significant concern. The updated NCC includes stricter requirements for sound insulation, ensuring better acoustic privacy for apartment residents. This includes improved wall and floor construction techniques and enhanced materials for soundproofing. Minor changes to the Waterproofing of Wet Areas have changed. None of them are significant but they do take into consideration the growing popularity of bidets and clarify some additional technical requirements.

Condensation can lead to serious issues such as mold growth and structural damage. Updates include quantified targets for allowable condensation risks, enhanced building ventilation requirements for well-sealed homes and homes with gas or wood-fired heaters, clarifications around the use of building wraps, and mandated roof space ventilation in cool climate zones to prevent condensation buildup. All exhaust systems are now mandated to exhaust outside instead of into roof spaces. Areas that require exhaust – like internal toilets – will require the exhaust fan to be activated with the room's lights and continue to operate for 10 minutes after the lights are turned off.

So, what does this all mean? Industry bodies disagree with the cost of the current changes – varying from around $25,000 per home by HIA members to closer to $4000 per home by Property Council members. An average suburban driveway can easily cost $20,000, so I suspect that is where at least some of that discrepancy comes from. We do know that fire safety, condensation, energy efficiency, and electrification are all areas flagged for improvement for future NCC updates. In the meantime, commencing 1st September 2026, lead content in plumbing fixtures will be significantly reduced. And last but not least, as of the 1st of July, there is a complete ban on the manufacturing, supply, processing, and installation of engineered stone. This is also having an effect on pricing and manufacturing equipment.

Preparing for the future

The National Construction Code is the general rule book for how we must build in Australia. When it was updated this year, it brought in a new section called Livable Housing Design. The idea of this section was to change the design of homes to make them easier to use and more adaptable to the changing needs of occupants. Versatility comes through reducing the need for steps, adding more space into at least one bathroom, building wider doorways and allowing for future adaptations such as adding grabrails.

With these features, new homes would suit a much greater range of occupants in the future; whether able bodied, disabled or injured; young or old. If your circumstances changed there’d be less need to modify the house or worse - move home - to try to find a house that fulfilled your needs.

It makes sense! Most of us will live into our old age, by which time we might be very settled in the home we’ve lived in for many years and not want to move. But with old age can come mobility issues, and if that house you’ve lived in for years no longer suits then it becomes a question of modifications or renovations to make it suit (which can be expensive), living in a house that makes life difficult, or moving.

But unlike other states, NSW chose not to adopt the new Livable Housing Design requirements. Therefore new homes built in NSW have NO need to comply with these new design standards.

If you’re about to have a new home built, there’s still no reason you can’t ask for some or all of these design features to be included. Accidents happen and everyone ages. Even if you’re planning on selling before you reach that stage of life, then the new buyer of your home faces the same outlook. Homes last generations and our population is aging.

We’re facing this exact situation within our extended family at the moment so it's an issue that's really at the front of our mind. A home built for my parents to retire to when they were in their 60s has two showers; both small and neither of which are large enough to really fit a chair. Now that they are both in their 90s and starting to not move so well, a shower that is easy to access and that can fit a chair (and some handrails) is becoming essential. Without it, they risk having to move out of home should there be any further health issues. And so a complete bathroom renovation is on the cards.

How we now wish that the builder of that house at the time had known to make a shower larger! Or that a friend had warned our family of the problem that was being set in place!

So let us now be that friend to you. It’s always much cheaper, simpler and better to design this functionality into a home right from the start; even if it won’t be needed for many years.

"Kuroo-san?"

The said man looked up from his desk to his secretary. He was buried deep in paperwork; his sleeves rolled up to his elbows; coat off. He raised an eyebrow in question. The secretary walked into his office and handed him a cream-coloured envelope with a waxed seal. Kuroo flipped the envelope over and there at the back of it was his name, written in perfect penmanship.

“What is this?”

“Came in the mail today. It looks like an invitation of some sort.” The secretary bowed in respect and went out of the room. Kuroo was naturally curious. Without wasting any second he opened the envelope carefully and pulled out its contents. A neatly folded piece of paper was in between his fingers along with a simple, yet elegantly, designed card with the names Umeda Minoru and Obara Maiko, on it.

“A wedding?” He had said out loud. He couldn’t recall knowing anyone with those names. Although, the last name Obara sounded familiar. And he couldn’t even remember any of his friends getting married soon. He flipped open the paper and read the letter.

Hi Tetsurou!

I know it’s been a long time but I hope you can come to Maiko-chan’s wedding. It will be held in Kalokairi. Remember the small island we used to go to?

I hope you can make it.

His heart skipped a small beat as he read your name at the bottom. That’s why the last name was familiar. Obara Y/N. He hasn’t heard anything from you for how many years and now, out of the blue, you invite him to a random girl’s—a relative, maybe? Was she your cousin?—wedding on the island where it all started. Maybe that’s why you invited him? Because the island reminded you of him.

No. That can’t be right. From what he knows, you hated his guts. Hated it since the moment he left you there. But if you were inviting him to a wedding, could it mean that you’re not mad anymore? 

With his mind going miles a minute, he checked the date on the invitation and called his secretary back in to book the soonest flight.

Bokuto slipped his shades on as he walked through the docks. He waved at the other boat owners as he passed by them. The sun felt warm on his skin and he just knew that this was gonna be a good day. When he reached his spot, he smiled widely, beaming at the vessel in front of him. 

"Good morning, sunshine." He greeted no one in particular. He hopped onto the deck of his beloved sailboat, running his fingers on the grabrail. He picked up the ropes lying on the ground and prepared the boat for voyage. "We're going on a trip for a few days, my sweet."

Patting his pocket, he pulled out the slightly crumpled envelope out of it. He couldn't help smiling down at the invitation in his hand. It was a bit peculiar to get a letter from you—a wedding invitation no less!—after how many years. Your brief...meeting with him only lasted for a week and yet Bokuto yearned for your presence even after that. 

Sure he's been with his fair share of women over the years but, there was no one quite like you if he had to be honest. Looking back down at the invitation, he was glad it wasn't your wedding you were inviting him to. He couldn't help but think of the 'what ifs' once he gets there…

Excitement pulsing through his veins, he prepared to set off into the sea, back to Greece.

"Aeropuerto por favor. Rápido." Oikawa told the cab driver as he got on. The driver understood immediately, despite Oikawa's accent. Soon enough, they were zooming through the city of Buenos Aires. He checked his bag for his passport, wallet and phone. He also caught a glimpse of the envelope he got just two days ago. He hesitated in the slightest before deciding to pull it out and re-reading the letter.

Y/N…., he had thought to himself. If there was one thing Oikawa couldn’t let go of it was volleyball. But if you were thrown into the equation, he just might give it up for you. He didn’t even know what had happened; he just met you one day and boom, he was in love. He loved you with all of his heart and he was willing to follow you wherever you wanted to go. But alas, after that one night, you just decided to disappear, leaving a small note. 

He doesn’t really know why he had said yes to this wedding. He doesn’t know what to expect when he finally gets to Kalokairi. Closure? Rekindling with an old flame? He huffed out, dismissing the idea. Only one thing is for certain: he wanted to see you. So bad.

Letting out a deep sigh, he placed the envelope back in his bag. His palms started growing sweaty at the thought of seeing you in a matter of hours.

A shrill scream echoed throughout the docks, catching the attention of the locals. Maiko ran at a fast pace, meeting her friends halfway, who had just got off the small motorboat from the mainland. She got to her friend Nana first,—who was the tallest in their friend group—picking up her tiny frame and spinning her in a hug. She turned to Eri—the toughest of the bunch—and gave her a hug so tight. When they parted, a soft glint on Maiko’s hand caught her friends’ eyes. 

“Maiko-chan!” Nana gushed. She held Maiko’s left hand in hers and there, a small, elegant ring sat on her ring finger, shining under the strong rays of the sun. 

“I’m jealous!” Eri pouted jokingly. “Now, I want one.”

Maiko blushed, trying to cover her face. “Stop it! I’m getting married in a few days!” She squealed in excitement. The three girls picked up the luggages and walked up the dock. Maiko wrapped her arms around both of her friends, feeling giddier than ever.

“I’m so glad you’re both here because…,” she paused, the smile on her face growing, “I have a secret.” Nana and Eri looked at each other. Their eyes grew wide in realization and knelt in front of Maiko. 

“Maiko-chan! You’re already pregnant?!” Eri shrieked. Maiko laughed loudly and dismissed the thought.

“No, no, no! It’s not that.” She grew quiet for a moment, pulling her friends closer. “I invited my dad to the wedding.”

“You’re kidding!”

“You finally found him?”

“Uhh, not exactly.” Her friends were confused. She smiled and led them to a nearby rock by the end of the docks where they sat down. She breathed out a sigh, “You know what my mom says whenever I ask about my dad. They met in the summer, fell in love, but my dad left even before she realized she was pregnant with me. All these years, I’ve accepted that that’s all I’ll never know about him.

“But then,” she rummaged through the tote bag she brought with her, pulling out an old, worn journal. “I found this.” she said, proud.

“What is it?” Eri asked.

“It’s my mom’s old diary the year she was pregnant with me.”

“Oh my god!” Eri sat closer to Maiko as she opened the journal. “So we’re really gonna read Y/N-obasan’s journal?”

“Oh shush.” Nana dismissed, sitting on Maiko’s right side.

“July seventeenth,” Maiko started. “Kuroo—Tetsurou as he insisted to be called—rowed me over to the little island. That’s here, Kalokairi. He took me on a small picnic by the beach. We danced under the moonlight by the beach. He kissed me by the beach and…,” Maiko trailed off. Nana and Eri waited.

“And what?” Nana asked.

“That’s it. They did it.” Maiko wiggled her eyebrows suggestively. Nana and Eri burst out laughing. She smiled and continued reading, “Tetsurou’s the one for me. I just know it. I’ve never felt love like this before.”

“So, this Kuroo-san is your father?” Nana questioned. Maiko eyed her, silently telling her that there was more to the story.

“For the time that we’ve been together, Tetsurou has said he loves me, several times. But now, he’s announced that he’s actually engaged. He just left earlier this morning to get married and...I’m never gonna see him again.”

“Aww, poor obasan.” Nana pouted, sympathizing you.

The three of them continued their trek up the island, while Maiko continued to read out loud the contents of the journal.

“August fourth, what a night! I met someone. Bokuto Koutarou. He was vacationing around the mainland, visiting his aunt. I passed by and everything clicked. He rented a motorboat, so I took him to the little island. Even though I know that I’m still in love with Tetsurou, Kou is just so...WILD!” The trio widened their eyes at the comment. “One thing led to another and…”

“So there’s a Bokuto-san as well?” Maiko just grinned excitedly and continued.

“August eleventh, Oikawa Tooru appeared out of the blue. I saw him struggling to order food from a restaurant so I helped him out. He was on a layover for a flight to Buenos Aires that got delayed for a few days. So I said, why not show him the island. He was so sweet and understanding. And he’s so pretty too! Oh! I couldn’t help it! And…”

They’ve finally reached the top of the island where your villa was. You ran a small hotel on the island, which wasn’t as successful as you thought it would be seeing as there weren’t many tourists and not many people knew about the island itself. Nevertheless, you were able to care for Maiko and that was all that mattered.

“Oh my god!” Eri squealed. “Y/N-obasan was so adventurous wasn’t she?”

“I can’t blame her. I mean have you seen her? She looks good even now!” Nana sighed. A bustling sound was heard from the entrance of the villa, with you appearing not seconds later, a broom in hand. You glanced in their direction. You did a double-take when you saw your daughter’s friends, waving at you. Maiko quickly hid the journal behind her back.

“Oh! You’re here already!” You set the broom by the wall, wiping your hands down on your old overalls. “It’s been so long!”

Nana and Eri walked over to you. You engulfed them in tight hugs and sweet kisses on their cheeks. You held Eri’s face in your palms, brushing her hair away from her face. You turned to Nana, placing a hand on her cheek.

“Look at the both of you! You’re practically all grown up! I remember when you were all wreaking havoc around here.” You beamed at them, proud. “And you look like you’re already having fun!”

“We are!” Eri cheered. You hummed in response. Your mind went somewhere else for a quick moment—a memory—and you mumbled,

“I used to have fun, too.”

“Oh, we know.” Nana quipped. Maiko pinched her arm subtly. You eyed them suspiciously, not really hearing what Nana had said which Maiko was thankful for. 

“Well, I better leave you all to it. I know you have some bridesmaids duties to get to. I’ll see you all later.” You picked up your broom again and disappeared further into the villa.

When they were sure you were gone, the trio breathed out a sigh of relief. Maiko led them to her room for the moment as her friends’ belongings were getting checked into their respective rooms. They rushed inside, away from listening ears and wandering eyes.

“So, who is it?” Nana asked. “Is it Tetsurou-san, Bokuto-san or Oikawa-san?”

Maiko just shrugged her shoulders, laying down on her bed. “I don’t know.”

“Well,” Eri interjected. “Who did you invite?”

Maiko just looked at them expressively. Her smile grew wider as her friends finally realized what she had done. Eri and Nana screamed. They jumped up and down in excitement—and disbelief—at their friend. They knew how impulsive Maiko was but this was just a bit too much, wasn’t it?

“Do they know?” Nana’s eyes had widened.

Maiko rolled her eyes at her. “Of course not. Do you think I can just write to them and say, ‘Please come to my wedding. You might be my father.’? No.” She shook her head. “They think that mom sent the invite. And with what we’ve learned today, they all said yes!”

Kuroo was panting heavily as he stared at the ferry not too far from the jetty, buzzing away to Kalokairi. He cursed under his breath kicking at the ground. A few seconds later, another man was beside him, panting just as he was, staring at the ferry. 

“Shit.” Oikawa muttered. Kuroo scoffed and nodded in agreement.

“I know.” He said. Oikawa turned to look at Kuroo, eyeing him up and down. They trudged back to the ticketing booth and checked the schedule for the next available ferry.

“I don’t speak Greek.” Oikawa groaned, not understanding a single thing on the board.

“Deftera.” Kuroo read out loud. “Monday.” 

“Ah, shit.” Oikawa cursed. He hastily opened his bag and pulled out the invitation, checking the date of the wedding. This catches Kuroo’s eyes.

So, he’s here for the wedding too, huh. He thought to himself. “Bride or groom?” He asked the man. Oikawa looked at him, startled. It took him a moment to realize that Kuroo was also going to Kalokairi for the wedding.

“Oh, bride’s.” Oikawa answered. “Although, I haven’t actually met her.”

“Hey, hey, hey!” A loud voice called. “Up here!” Bokuto called, as he was sitting atop of the mast of his boat which was docked near the jetty. Kuroo and Oikawa looked at him, confused. 

“You guys need a ride to Kalokairi?”

I’d take that and go further with it. Assistive products are designed for people who need the help, but they’re also for anyone who thinks that it would make life easier. Needing and using assistive devices isn’t anything to be ashamed of, or hidden, or something to be avoided until the last possible moment. It’s no tragedy to need and use a device like a cane, or a wheelchair, or a fork that makes it easier to eat. It’s something to be pleased about, that these things exist to make life easier. If more people used them, they become more widely available and more affordable to the people who need them.

When I was a child, the bath/shower at our house had a grabrail on the wall above the bath. I think my parents originally had it installed after my mother had surgery and was shaky on her feet while she recovered. It never even occurred to me that this was something unusual. There was a rail in the shower. We used it to hang the flannels on to drip dry between uses. It wasn’t until I left home and moved house that I realised that this isn’t normal - other people and other bathrooms don’t have grabrails in their showers, and it feels so wrong to have it missing. 

Things that make life easier are good. If people need them, they should have them. Even if people don’t strictly need them but still want them, they should have them. Life is better when things are easier.

London Cafe & Bistro Cloo-less?

So today's review for disabled toilets, I visited the newly opened London Cafe & Bistro opposite sainsburys in Southend.

The service & food were very good so no complaints there although I would have preferred home cooked chips & they didn't have decaf tea or coffee but that's by the by. The decor is very good too but now I'll get to the toilets. Hmm where to start...firstly they don't have any signage for disabled loos & I had to ask the staff if they had any. I was taken to a door with 2 signs... 1. Male/female toilets & 2. Baby changing. On opening that door I was shown to a room which had a sink, hand dryer & baby changing facilities plus 2 further doors. 1 for male & 1 for female loos.....so far so good although I had a little wait while a member of staff was using the female loo. Once free I attempted to get my wheelchair through the open door but strangely there was a cabinet attached to the basin inches from the door therefore only leaving enough space of maybe 2/3 of the door area to actually get in. Unfortunately I damages the door frame with my wheelchair & almost got stuck right there! Once in, the door lock is sketchy & doesn't stay locked unless you try hard. I had to pulldown the grabrail as in most disabled loos, right next to the toilet, to be able to transfer from my wheelchair. There was no loo roll in the holder but a few were sitting along a shelf underneath. The toilet itself was on a continuous flush as the flush handle is lose. When I noticed the Diddy pedal bin in the corner, I had to laugh because that's as much use as a chocolate teapot! I actually filled it with 1 use. The soap dispenser was fine as was the water coming from the tap but the hand drier defied my attempts to get it working....waving underneath, tapping the front, sides & top, even pleading with it wouldn't work!! So with wet hands I was ready to leave but hang on....I couldn't turn around in my wheelchair & realised I'd have to reverse out but my reversing skills are pretty good so off I went with luck rather than judgement, I managed to reach backwards to get the door open. As I was reversing trying not to do more damage to the doorframe I manoeuvered into the basin cupboard, sliding passed the scuffed doorframe & smashed the toilet door against the wall. Had any parent been in there changing their baby, I'd have probably run into them too but as luck would have it there wasn't anyone else there. Then I saw a hand drier near the baby changing basin but my hope faded as I tried getting that one to work & failed again! So off I rolled free from these 'disabled' loos, wet hands n all.
