It's time for another merch post, my biggest one yet since I went kind of crazy for merch in Dec/Jan...my wallet is still recovering 😵‍💫 (also, I made scans of some of this merch in a previous post here if you haven't already seen).

First is one of two Mercari orders. I only intended to get the movie booklet (which I've posted about previously) but added some more stuff to make the shipping worthwhile!

I got the towel with the cruise arc outfits that's part of the merch line for the Tokai Steamship collab. It's a bit small, but I still love it!

I always liked the art for the Tower Records collab, so I got a poster! (the seller also included stickers and postcards).

I also like the art for the Cruise Buffet collab, so I got a paper placemat which makes a great poster! The seller shipped it in this nice plastic cover, so I decided to keep that on to protect it (they included a postcard too, which will be part of my next miscellaneous scans post 😁)

The below acrylic stands were recently released as part of the movie merch line (sold at theaters I believe). Anya had a couple different designs, including one where she's in a director's chair and one where she has 3D glasses. But I picked the one where she's eating popcorn since Bond is with her (gotta always get the whole family when I can!)

A couple weeks ago I took a trip to Animate, where they just happened to be having a SxF promotion where you'd get postcards of the new camping designs if you spent a certain amount on SxF merchandise. I bought the four camping acrylics, which was more than enough to get all the postcards 😊

Also picked up these two magazines, since a Kinokuniya store was at that mall as well (scans of these coming soon!)

I absolutely love these painting acrylics! They're definitely one of my favorite sets ❤️

Some acrylics from the movie! The big one in the middle is really cool, the background is reflective but transparent too.

I love the Waku Waku Park designs, but was only able to find acrylics of Anya & Bond. Hope to add Loid and Yor to the collection one day. So I just got a clear file in the meantime, lol.

Couldn't resist this adorable CODE: White overnight bag! I decided to use it to hold my many TCG decks 😅

And lastly (kinda of) was my usual Amiami preoder!

The "Anya helping with chores" designs are so cute, I got them as both acrylic stands (from Amiami) and reusable bags (from the aforementioned Mercari order).

I got more acrylics and postcards of the lovely kimono designs ❤️ (postcards scans coming soon!)

As I posted about previously, I got the Operation Diary video game along with these nice goodies that came with the preorder! (that keychain is rare official Twiyor merch 👀)

And I got even more TCG accessories! (another set of sleeves, a few deck boxes, a card box, and card holder).

The reason I've been getting so much TCG stuff, as well as why I said the Amiami order was only "sort of" the last of my merch from the past couple months, is because I had also preordered a case of SxF Weiss Schwarz cards! I preordered it back in August, and the set officially released in English last week...but that will be covered in another post, so stay tuned~

Okay re: earthy/witchy Elain… I am obsessed with the idea of Elain have some sort of witchy powers and working with herbs etc and I think she may also have some sort of power of life if that makes sense? I’m honestly horrible at explaining things but if you want to know what I’m on about, @wingedblooms has incredible theories that they’ve put heaps of time into explaining beautifully!

Onto your questions…

1. My toxic trait is that I loooove a quiet, mysterious man that doesn’t say much and is lowkey terrifying and Azriel ticks all those boxes. They’re like a little puzzle to solve and I love a challenge that has major potential to hurt me …. But!! I love that he really sees and understands people and you can tell that he genuinely cares for the people around him and even though he doesn’t talk much, he’s always listening and learning. One of my favourite things in the world is Azriel’s relationship with Nesta - the way I cried when he gave her the book light for solstice and she hugged him should be studied 😭😭😭 it’s one of my favourite parts of the whole series.

There’s not much I don’t like about him, to be honest - at least nothing that I can think of off the top of my head! I guess regifting the necklace wasn’t his brightest moment but in the words of Lana Del Rey, 🎵you’re just a man… it’s just what you do 🎵

2. I LOVE a fluffy, Christmas vibe!! Azriel canonically loves a holiday, who am I to deny him of a fluffy moment 🎄

3. I have so much in common with them, I think that’s why they’re my faves bc I feel like I know them personally 😭 I looove baking and cooking and I love to do things for people. I love a grandma craft. I don’t think we know much about Azriel in way of hobbies but I’ve decided he loves music and so do I. I am also a big time quiet friend (in real life, idk why I can’t shut up online), listener not talker, and so will dole out advice when necessary a la the spymaster so we’ve got that in common

4. I don’t even know!!! I’m so late to the game, I was a big lit fic girlie (still am) but my friend was reading the first one and I’d seen it all over TikTok and I am SO easily influenced… I picked it up July 8th last year and I’d finished all of ACOTAR and ToG by August 15th 😅 it’s a high I’ve been chasing ever since and it reignited my long lost love for reading so I’ll forever be thankful to it… plus it led me back to writing and this amazing community

I picked up a bunch of Red Clovers yesterday from our own yard and hanged them to dry. It is a rainy first day of July here, but the rain feels nice after a heatwave. The nature needs water! Our grass is partly burned, because the weather has been so hot and dry. I have only three days ay work and then I'm on summer vacation for 2 weeks. For me it means that I'll be able to concentrate better working on my art. Gotta finish the log wall painting and hopefully some collages too or couple of other paintings. We shall see... but the log wall is my main priority, since I want it to be finished, before Lughnasadh (the first of August).

We also had a thirsty visitor the other evening and I managed to film him. I'll post about him later 😊

Oh So Torn - [Itachi x Female Reader]

You knew the head of the Uchiha was intimidating. Even just being in the same room as him at clan meetings felt suffocating enough, but having him sit across from you, staring at you, feeling like he was staring through you, measuring you up and as much as you wanted to crumble, you sat tall you would show him you were someone worthy of his son’s affections.

“So we would like to extend to you an offer to join our clan,” when your father politely asked him to clarify, he continued, “by our heir’s marrying.”

Your breath caught in your throat in excitement and disbelief. Was this happening? Was everything you ever wanted right around the corner?

“Your lovely daughter.”

You could see it now your father giving you away, finally being able to tell the world how much you cared for each other, Itachi looking divine in his royal wedding robes-

“To our Sasuke.”

Itachi was as confused as you, but like the elite shinobi he was, he hid it better than you; if anyone bothered to look your way, you imagined they would see how hard you were breathing, how panicked you looked, could see your dreams that had so quickly formed in your eyes shattering.

“Sasuke?”

Fugaku looked right at you at your broken mention of your offered betrothed, his gaze somehow victorious.

“He is closer to your age than Itachi. So it makes sense, doesn’t it?”

That was technically true, but Sasuke was two years younger than you.

You stared at the side of your father’s face with a desperate intensity when the Uchiha head looked at him, expecting an answer. I just gotta say this cuz I'm curious:

I started playing the pre-release of Baldur's Gate 3 recently after my brother showed me a video about the game and realized it was basically an online D&D-like RPG game and I love D&D. My husband bought the pre-release for me as an early birthday gift, I've been playing it on my own as well as with him and I freaking love it 😊

like obviously it's been nearly 2 years since evermore but there's the rerecordings. and also I think I've been spoilt by the folklore/evermore release schedule because I feel...empty that we don't have the tracklist or like we're not getting the whole album + mv immediately after the announcement 😅

thank you, my area is safe but the country as a whole. all the provinces are effected, so many lives and livelihoods destroyed...it's really bad out there. and videos and constant updates are..emotionally taxing but if you put it in the back of your mind, you just get busy with your life and you forget those people who will need months until they can even begin to start rebuilding there lives.

and of course crops were effected so prices of some stuff are already high and they'll only get higher. and we already have shitty price hikes due to a recent change in government after some political turmoil. but thank God for private non-profits who actually help the people instead of looting donations

sorry this is. a lot. I just wish there was more I could do besides donating. hopefully volunteer activities will crop up after the initial situation has been stabilized so I can do something that isn't limited by my finances

2. How many works did you publish this year?

I may or may not have waited to answer this ask until I published another one-shot to bump this number up to 4. 😅 However, that doesn’t count the 24 chapters I added to my Feycien longfic that I started in August of last year. Adding that into the mix makes me feel a lot better about how much I’ve actually accomplished in 2022. 😁 I hope to add 2 more one-shots to my total before the year is up. That would make 8! That would be awesome, considering I ended last year with 2. Hey, you’ve gotta start somewhere, right??

9. Favorite pairing you wrote for this year?

Ooh, that’s a toughie. I actually fall in love with each pair as I write them. Writing “I Will See You Again” and “Forever” made me fall in love with Feylin all over again (my first loves). I actually started writing fanfiction because I was interested in Feycien as a concept (since my original ship was Feylin), but I quickly converted myself. 😘 I recently wrote Elucien for a friend (I thought the Fox and Fawn aesthetic was charming but I didn’t consider myself a hardcore shipper), and then as I started writing them, I thought: “hey, they’re actually really cute together!” 💕 But, if I had to choose a favorite, I’d have to say Brilin. Their Beauty and the Beast/Sunshine and Grumpy aesthetic just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. 🥰

30. Biggest surprise while writing this year?

Definitely Brilin. I tentatively reached out to a pro-Tamlin blog back in May to promote my first Feylin fic: “I Will See You Again”. A day or two later, I got an anonymous prompt asking me to write something for Briar as the true Beauty in Beauty and the Beast. I hadn’t even read ACOWAR all the way through, so I had to look her up. But once I wrote that first chapter to “A Garden of Thorns”, I knew there was something special there. 😊 I’m just hella nervous about continuing it and putting my own spin on the BatB tale in the context of ACOTAR. Someday I will finish that story... but probably not for a while yet. 😞

To end on a positive note, though, I’ve really enjoyed answering writing prompts, so I will probably open those up again sometime soon. After the holidays, I think...

Oh. My. GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

KINGDOM HEARTS 4 LET'S GOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was pretty sure this was gonna be the announcement with all the hints but I'm still finding it hard to believe. Like I just woke up but it's early here so I was going to go back to sleep for a few hours but then I was like "oh yeah! KH 20th event finished, gotta check the news while I'm up." And now I'm wide awake with my jaw dropped. I truly feel like I'm in a dream or an alt reality or something holy crap!

I probably will go back to sleep so I'll reblog a bunch of stuff later, but I wanted to write down my first reactions. Shocked aside, I'm immensely excited (obviously!) And I'm smiling like an idiot. I love this series so much ❤️

Sora looks absolutely BEAUTIFUL 😍 The CGI looks sooo good ✨ Like wow! Baby boy I love you and I've missed you and I'm ready to bring you back home.

The only thing though is that I really don't like his hair. Like the hair itself is totally fine, but it doesn't really feel Sora-esque :/ It's not spikey enough and if you removed the little flips on the sides it'd be resemblant of Riku/Yozora/Noctis. Like everyone is just starting to look the same... Idk I'm sure it will grow on me (I didn't like his KH3 hair as much at first either) but that's how I feel at this point.

Also his clothes. He looks great and I love them (like who doesn't love that super groupies look), but they are a bit boring compared to past games. Like I get it, it fits better with the modern-esque Quadratum but hmmm. Wonder if that'll be his outfit for the whole game or just the Quadratum part.

I'm really worried it will be for PS5 only. Me buying a console specifically to play KH is nothing new, but I absolutely do not have the money to get one right now. 🙏 Please please please be a PS4/PS5 deal 🙏

I'm super excited to have another mobile game! While it's not my favorite medium for KH, it's fun to have something KH that I can play at anytime and anywhere 😊 (KHUX I miss youuu) Looking forward to hearing more about it and how it will play into the main series (as they all do lol) 💕

I will be writing something for it! No idea yet what exactly, but I put a lot of energy into making sure this event got off the ground and I'm determined to see it through XD Plus Dickkory is one of the few canon ships that I genuinely believe in wholeheartedly so I gotta show 'em a little love 😊

Tips for posting, let's see...

First to come to mind is tag your stuff! Tags not only help people find stuff, but they also help people avoid stuff they don't want to see. There are tags for just about everything, so if you think its relevant enough, put a tag. Everyone will be grateful for it.

Next up: if you can, wait to create the draft of your fic on AO3 until you're ready to post—the later the draft is created, the higher up it'll show on results pages. So if both you and someone else posted a fic on August 10th, and you created your draft after they did (even if they posted after you), then you'll come out on top. Works about 90% of the time XD The other 10%...well, you just gotta accept the glitch and move forward lol.

Try to avoid extremely vague summaries, especially if your tags are lacking in info. All my experience talking to folks has shown that readers have little patience, and I'm guilty of that too—if I can't get a clear idea of what the fic is about, then I'm gonna move on with my life.

Lastly, I'd say talk to your audience. Whether it's in the author's notes, or in the comments, I've found that readers enjoy seeing some kind of personality from writers. You totally don't owe them that (big thing to remember as a writer: you don't owe anyone anything, least of all your time or writing) but it can be fun, and I've made some great friendships just through that.
