This 1856 Gothic Revival mansion in Oyster Bay, New York (which is out on Long Island) is over-the-top. 6bds, 11ba, $10.888M.

Who painted all the woodwork beige? Good Lord, look at this.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Very elaborate, ornate sitting room.
Tumblr media
The 2nd sitting room is just as maximalist, ornate, and elaborate. It's difficult to see the architectural details with all the furnishings.
Tumblr media
Here's a small sitting room. Notice how the decor mirrors itself.
Tumblr media
Very large dining room open to what looks like a sun room. What a fireplace- Look at how raised the firebox is.
Tumblr media
This is a nice room. There certainly are a lot of places to sit.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The kitchen has a vintage/modern look. I don't think I've ever seen the area under the upper cabinets so brightly lit. The cabinetry and counters are all beautiful. The massive island looks like an antique piece.
Tumblr media
Through the kitchen is what looks like an everyday dining room.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
What a room. Look at the ceiling. It reminds me of a refectory in an old gothic convent.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This looks like the primary bedroom. Not only does it have an amazing sitting area, but it also has a loft. This house is crazy, but as per usual, when it's a mansion like this, they rarely show much of it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This looks like a greenhouse.
Tumblr media
There's a lot of land- 16.14 acres.
Tumblr media
A beautiful view of Oyster Bay Harbor.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The home itself has a huge brick patio and this is one of two ponds.

St. Paul Roman Catholic Church | A Historic Sanctuary in Clifton City
Historical Significance
St. Paul Roman Catholic Church is not only a spiritual haven for the community of Clifton City but also a significant historical landmark. Established in the mid-19th century, the church has been a cornerstone of the local Catholic community for over 150 years. Originally founded to serve the growing population of Irish immigrants, St. Paul’s has witnessed the evolution of Clifton City from a small rural town to a bustling urban center.
The church's architecture is a beautiful reflection of the time period in which it was built. Featuring Gothic Revival elements, including pointed arches, vaulted ceilings, and intricate stained glass windows, St. Paul’s is a stunning example of 19th-century religious architecture. The church’s bell tower, which can be seen from miles away, has become one of Clifton’s most recognizable landmarks. Inside, the church’s altar and statues reflect both the reverence and artistic craftsmanship of its era.
Beyond its architectural beauty, St. Paul Roman Catholic Church has played a central role in the community, offering not only religious services but also various educational and social programs. It has hosted countless baptisms, weddings, and funerals, marking the important milestones in the lives of many Clifton residents. The church’s rich history is intertwined with the development of the city itself, making it a must-visit for anyone interested in both faith and local history.

The church also hosts a beautiful Easter egg hunt for children, which has become a cherished tradition in Clifton.
Feast Days: St. Paul Roman Catholic Church celebrates several feast days throughout the year, each with its own special Masses and events. The Feast of St. Paul, the church’s patron saint, is particularly significant, bringing together the local Catholic community for a day of reflection, celebration, and fellowship. Visitors during this time can experience the full depth of the church’s religious and cultural life.
Regular Services: If you are looking for a quieter, more reflective visit, attending a regular Sunday Mass or weekday service is a peaceful way to experience the church. The beauty of the stained glass windows and the calming atmosphere of the space make it an ideal place for prayer and reflection.
