Ok so I volunteered a little earlier today and I have this new kid, second time I’ve seen him. And he’s like SO quiet yet SO sweet, I’ve managed to make him crack a few smiles (first time I made him smile, he made a heart out of playdoh and showed me, then he cut it with toy scissors. I pretend like it hurt me and he smiled lol). He likes playing with me and making sure I watch him play. He hardly ever talks, I’ve only heard him say a small handful of words, but another volunteer and I agreed that he’s like a grown man in a child’s body from how extremely well-behaved he is. He’s also got like a discreet mischievous side, like hell out a triangle into a shape where it’s clearly a hole and I’m pointing at the triangle spot and then he will go all around before finally putting it in, he totally knows what he’s doing, he’s just fooling around. I think he’s attached himself to me and he’s just so cute and is probably now my favorite…and this got my brain thinking to another one of my favorites, Junior, so hear me out: 

Little Junior AU but with a twist—3 year old toddler Junior and 8 year old Jake. Lucy and I have this one AU that we basically never shared publicly that we called the Uncle Andy AU where essentially, Andy only pretends to be friends with Lucas and Logan to protect Jake and Junior and be the proper male adult figure that they deserve. 

This new AU I came up with literally in the middle of playing with my kiddo is kinda like that but different. Basically, Andy ends up having to take in young Junior and Jake because there is no other living family member to take care of them and Andy doesn’t want to risk the cousins going into foster care and being separated (Jake’s mom recently died, Lucas drank too much and basically got himself killed, so Jake had to live with Logan for a short time, Bree died giving birth to Junior and Logan was neglecting and malnourishing Junior, and even began abusing Jake until Andy realized what was going on and took them both away). Andy’s still struggling with suddenly being a father and reaches out to his friend/crush/almost girlfriend, Nica, to see what she can do to help them. That’s where he sees how naturally she interacts with Junior and how he’s talked and smiled the most with her than he’s done since living with Andy. Nica agrees to babysit Junior and Jake while Andy works and he’d be lying if he said that he didn’t enjoy watching her almost like a mother with them. 

I’m literally word vomiting at this point but this is what I came up with like within 2 hours, hope you like this ramble and thank you for coming to my TED Talk—

I love it. That is such a cute AU idea! Nica would be so happy to babysit Jake and Junior while Andy is working. (And help out her friend/crush/almost boyfriend) Jake and Junior would definitely start interrogating Nica once they were more comfortable around her.

Andy definitely enjoys watching them interact and often invites Nica to stay for dinner once he's back. 🥺

the time Rosine begged Lucy to go into M. Paul's class to deliver a message because he was in such a pissy mood and likes Lucy better so she goes in and gives the message that he's needed at the local college and he's all "that's nice but i'm not going" and she just pushes his hat towards his hand but oh no his glasses fall off the desk and literally both of the lenses bust and now she's actually scared but before she can even get an apology out of her mouth he hops up, says "well, what a little mischief maker! what a nefarious little englishwoman!! guess i'll have to go if you're going to threaten me like that! :-)", puts his hat on, and leaves.

later on that night when he comes to the school to read aloud to the pupils and teachers and he forgoes his normal spot to go sit next to Lucy (aw) and she moves to give him room but he says "no don't" but she scooches a little anyway and he immediately gets pissed and is all "oh so you want to treat me like an outcast?! you want distance?!! fine!" and he literally makes everyone else at the table get up and move to the other one and grabs Lucy's stuff and puts all of it on the other side of the table so it's just them at opposite ends and he says "happy?" and she's all "you were the one who wanted it like this..?" and he said "no! you were the one who did this!!" and then he reads a French translation of Shakespeare and Lucy is not at all hiding her disdain and he looks up and sees every single eyeroll and smirk and omfg he's getting so pissed but it's dinner time now and she's engrossed in making her watchguard and tbh she's feeling giddy and smug because making M. Paul so flustered and annoyed was fucking fun and she was enjoying it. he gets up without saying a word, strides towards the door, but turns back for his pencil case and...he puts his pencil in...takes it out...breaks the lead against the table...resharpens it...puts it in his pocket...and finally walks up to Lucy. he asks her what she's working on and she says she's making a watchguard for one of her gentleman friends and omg he's really mad now, i mean he's seriously fuming; he's saying she's impossible to be friends with and that he has never done anything wrong but she continues to regard him with passionate injustice and rebellion and she's all "what? :(" and he's, again, immediately apologizing and correcting himself and saying that she does have good qualities but if she'd quit flirting and caring so much for people whose only good quality was being tall and if she dressed more modestly then things would be better. a few moments pass and he's all, "did what i just said make you hate me? :(" but no, all is well and as he's going out the door he says "it's not that you don't look good in your clothes...it's just....nevermind, continue dressing as you do! goodnight!"

M. Paul's party day when Lucy didn't give him a gift and he asked "in really tragic tones" whether all the presents had been given because he wanted hers, only cared about a gift from her and she was starting to get that giddy feeling again from pissing him off, and she literally tells us as the reader that because he cared so much about whether she got him a gift, he fucking deserved to be fooled and get pissed and if that doesn't make you laugh i don't know what will. then he decides to make his party speech about how much England sucks and the things he says just get nastier and nastier until Lucy can't take it anymore, slams her hand on her desk, and says "long live England, fuck France!" and everyone in the room is gasping but M. Paul is hiding his grin behind his handkerchief because, yes, they both love riling the other up. he ends his speech by saying that he's going to take the whole class out to breakfast on the first day of spring and makes sure to say "only my friends are invited" and Lucy says "i won't be there!" and he says "fine!!"

omfg the fact that he was leaving goodies in her desk, correcting papers for her, and, when he's caught, he asks her earnestly whether she likes the things he leaves her.

okay so i have a lot of things to say (put under a cut because i understand if nobody wanna hear my opinion on this shit lol)

the hunting dogs killed it this episode. i loved tachihara especially (he gets hotter and hotter every time i see him). and...i think i'm starting to like teruko?? like honestly i didn't like her at first but she's def growing on me! i'm just kinda sad that we didn't really get to see much of her in her adult form during the plane scene at all (they also didn't extend the bit with how she's the most frightening when she's all happy so i was sad about that lmao). jouno and tetchou were great and gay as always too

I WANT MORE PEOPLE TO PAY ATTENTION TO LUCY! like ango said she is the heart of this operation- she's the reason the gang were able to get into the casino at all. we know all this and yet i see nobody talking about her! she's so underrated! maybe i'm just biased because she's my favourite girl character in this show but like...APPRECIATE LUCY COWARDS. she was so cute this episode too <3 i can't decide whether i wanna date her or atsushi or BE her or atsushi or date both of them or be both of them omg honestly these two make me so euphoric

okay so obvs the star of this episode nobody other than MY BOY SIGMA!!! ! i choked when i saw him. i literally stopped breathing and only realised it when i began feeling dizzy lmao (yeah...super attached to him bet you couldn't tell). but there was something i had an issue with.

anime onlys, i'm begging you, PLEASE read the manga! they skipped over about eighty percent of sigma's introduction and context in the anime, and made him seem so random and sudden? i was expecting his introduction to be the same as in the manga, but he sorta just...appeared without any sort of indicator as to who he was (besides his name and occupation). like not even a transition- just appeared.

i feel like the reason the manga introduction worked so well was because it showed his character and professionalism and really displayed his role as a respected manager very well! i don't think they got sigma's character wrong necessarily in this ep, it just felt like he was added out of absolutely NOWHERE and he's already being given all of this character complexity so quickly with everything else going on...it's a little overwhelming to me. his voice doesn't sound quite like i expected, but i don't think it's bad! i hope his dub voice is good too

also they massacred the fit too- WHAT ARE THOSE SLIPPERS BRO. and they got rid of his big flowy sleeves :'( i understand it's easier to animate him the way he is now but i still don't understand the changing of the colour scheme- it looked just fine as it was! to be fair though this is also just a nitpick- i'll love him no matter how he looks, but you know. still prefer the manga sigma lol

they really squeezed just about the entire casino arc into two thirds worth of episode time, and yeah i get why but also...it just doesn't work imo. it felt so rushed and i could barely keep up despite having read the manga already. there's a LOT to the plot of this part of the story but it just felt...sloppy. i say this like i know anything about storywriting lmao, but yeah. i hope this isn't just a bad take of mine.

I can see Lisa Marie and Priscilla first spending real time around CCG x Austin during the Graceland premiere and Austin’s a nervous mess and he keeps getting pulled back into the same headspace as he was in when he was filming but then CCG shows up and he sits w her on a couch before the premiere and is touching her as she greets everyone and immediately when her attention and touch is on him the stress seems to leave his body and he becomes grounded again and the mom and daughter duo look at each other like yes thats a man completely in love. Is it something like that 😭 I’m not above begging for little more details. Does Austin ever wake up and he’s got his wife with her head on his chest and her arm around his waist and he’s a sweating mess because his daughter also snuck into their bed and is asleep on his chest literally and her hairs in his face but he refuses to wake them because he loves his girls and as long as they are comfortable? Does Austin feel completely guilty the first time he has to discipline Luci and she’s crying and refuses to talk to him for a few hours? Or she refuses to be in his arms? On her first red carpet walk does she refuse to let go of either of her parents hands when she’s not in their arms? How often do Luci and CCG team up against Austin? Who’s the fun parent? Who’s the one completely wrapped around Luci’s finger? How much trouble do Auntie Jillian and Luci get in to together?

it could be something like that for sure! i would completely agree that touch is a shared love language between him and ccg, so that probably does help ground him when he absolutely needs it.

100% definitely there are cuddle mounds in bed and, my favorite headcanon, many a blanket fort in the living room. i feel like ccg often gets cold and uses austin as her personal heater, so she's always snuggling up to him when she can. x2 for Luci

Fairy Tail season 3 review!!

What a journey! I didn't expect to enjoy this series as much as I did, but I had a lot of fun watching it! And idgaf about the haters cause everyone always has something to say. That aside, I liked this season a lot, although things could've been better executed imo.

I felt bad for Lucy when Natsu and Happy left cause everyone else in the guild had someone when they disbanded but she was by herself but I'm glad she was able to be a writer and be more independent!! The Avatar arc was alright, they had me in the first half thinking that Gray was evil.

The Alvarez Empire arc as a whole was wild. People may hate this about FT but I on the other hand am glad that there were few deaths. Why would I want my favorites to die LOL I have AOT and KNY for that. I really appreciated the screen time the other guilds got this time around too. I wish they utilized certain characters more like the Lucy's celestial spirits but it seems they were rushed or had less episodes this time around. When they dropped that the Dragon Slayers were from 400 years in the past, my mind was blown. Things from previous seasons made sense bc of that. When Makarov used Fairy Law, I didn't cry until they showed the flashback of Mavis naming him and when they showed Erza's flashback with him. They really had me crying for everyone this season omg. I was so relieved when they defeated Aconologia too - he literally became what he hated.

Mavis and Zeref deserved better!! When they showed them holding hands in heaven, the pain. And don't get me started on August. If you told me, I was gonna cry that much for him, I would've laughed. The moment he saw Mavis and stopped his spell, that hurt so bad. All he wanted was his parent’s love and he still never got it. And it’s the fact that Mavis and Zeref never knew he was their child!! I really really wanted them to know ugh. Mavis and Zeref are right person, wrong time. But the last episode, they had a reincarnation moment???

I'll do this as simple and with as many characters as I can. Ya'll know I love Lucy, she's not the strongest physically but her growth is immaculate! What I love about her is that she is very compassionate! Natsu, Gray, and Erza are amazing I love them, their bond can never be broken. Wendy also grew on me a lot too, she's so cute. Gajeel has to be my favorite tbh as well as Laxus, they're development from when we first met them is soo good. Ever, Fried, Bislow are also characters I enjoyed and wish had more screen time tbh. I loved the Strauss siblings as well, especially Mirajane and Elfman cause of their development. I also grew to like the other FT side characters like Warren, Lyon, Jellal, Bisca, Alzack, etc. I wish we got to see more Gildarts as well, he’s cool and strong af!!! I love his father daughter relationship with Cana. Happy, Lily and Carla are so funny and such gems lol.

Ok for the ships, Gajeel and Levy are cute af, and probably the most progressed ship out of the main. Their moments this season gave me so much serotonin. Speaking of which, baby??? If so, we love to see it. Referring to the last episode.

I feel so dumb thinking we'd get some NaLu confession or something, even Jellal and Erza! Gray and Juvia are ok to me, still not 100% sure how I feel about them cause sometimes I lowkey ship Gray and Lucy but I love their friendship at the same time lmao why am I like this.

I loved the overall theme of the show - friendship/family, I think that's what has me so attached. I can't wait for the 100 Years arc to be animated!!! Idk when that'll be but hopefully soon!!
