I just wanted to pop in and tell you again how much I adored The Hedgehog’s Dilemma and Flightless Birds. Truly they are two of my favorite fics to come out of this fandom. I’m so excited for everything else you’re working on and I just know they’re going to pleasantly destroy me <3

Thank you!! It’s still amazing to me that something I’ve written is favourite fic-worthy, especially when there’s so many talented writers in the fandom. As for the end of semester marking: I'm at paper 50/101 and answering this ask to procrastinate before I start my marking for the day. Because the papers are all answering the same prompt and it's making me feel a bit like I'm stuck in a time loop, here's a snippet from Wrong Answers Only from Ted's first day in the time loop, before he realizes it's a time loop — from his perspective, he's just invited Jamie back and is expecting him at Nelson Road, but from Jamie's, they haven't met up yet.

Out in the hall, he opened his call history, but the glitch that was affecting the rest of his phone had got to that and his messages, too. By the time he’d located him between Martin Tanner (one of the boys from his third season coaching) and Laura Taylor (a uni friend who’d gone on to be a surgeon), Ted had wandered his way to the empty weight room and sat on the bench. The ringtone echoed tinnily through the empty space as he waited — one ring, two, three, and then the call connected a second before it dropped. “Coach?” “Hey, Jamie, where are you, bud?” “At— at the studio, you know. ‘Bout to go on Holly and Phil,” Jamie said. He sounded a little quiet, uncertain, same as he’d been at the bar the other day. “They’re, you know. Doing my hair and all. Gotta look fit.” “You gotta do that twice?” Ted asked. A long pause. “No, I— I dunno what you mean, coach.” “Well, you were just on a couple’ve days ago, weren’t you?” Ted said. “No,” Jamie repeated. Ted scrubbed his free hand over his face, filled with a sudden rush of exasperation — he’d really thought Jamie had left all this behind him, the poking and prodding and pushing back against everything Ted said for no other reason than he could. “C’mon, man, I really thought we were getting somewhere.” “You’re the one that sent me back,” Jamie said, sharp. “You think I wanted to go back to City? You saw what my—” he cut off in a choked breath. “I was trying, coach. Why’d you send me away?” Ted’s fingers trembled. He scrubbed them viciously against the fabric of his pants, but when he spoke, his voice came out steady. “Jamie, I invited you back.” “Why’re you still playing mind games?” Jamie asked, plaintive. It was a strange sound on him, and not one Ted was sure he liked. “You won. Just leave me alone. Please, just leave me alone.” And then he hung up.

I wish I hadn't watched HOTD S2 like you, so that the characters I loved and were passionate about in S1 weren't ruined for me. At least now I know that I'm definitely not watching or pirating S3.

Best choice I ever made, I literally just watched episode 2 for Rhaenyra yelling at Daemon and Aegon crying, and then the sept scene in ep 3, as I am still a godless shipper and cannot escape the lure of Rhaenicent, and that is literally it. T'was Superman Summer for me, and the Superman anime did not let me down at all, even if the season finale was a little weak. Sucks that s2 felt shitty for you anon, and I fully support your decision to not watch s3, why watch something you don't like and that's not bringing you enjoyment? We've got so little time on this Earth, what's the point of doing things you don't have to do and that you don't even like?

At least we still have s1 which, while deeply flawed on a wide variety of levels, had some good bones on which to build. And AO3.

Why does Stolas have white pupils sometimes? -Anonymous

Although, I might point that Stolas’s pupils doesn’t always appear when he’s angry, as seen when he heard Stella came in at the end of 1x07, but his eyes were still red (meaning there were none not until his, so-called wife, had REALLY pissed him off)

Passionate (whether it’s someone or something)

Example A:

Stolas is talking to Blitz who is the love of his life

However instead of his pupils going into pinpricks — when he was talking to Stella (as above) — you can see (down below) that they’re more dilated and have that 🤍 shape

* Again this doesn’t happen every single time whenever he’s looking at Blitz in awe

Also we know that some of Stolas’s facial expressions are similar and his eyes go small and pinprick ie anger & guilt. So! We have to watch to identify it for example:

* Apologetic = His eyebrows are slanted into a more woeful look and his eyes are more downcast (especially when it came to when he had missed witnessing Astaroth’s Tears with Octavia)

* Angry = His eyes are creased together and is looking directly at the person he is angry with (whether that’s Stella on the first page ⬆️) or Blitz here

Status: Depends on the day and what he had done and what he had said to get him to the “pissed off” stage

ie: in 2x02 Stolas had enough on his plate with everything that had happened including:

1) The ongoing abuse from BOTH Stella — hers being much more worse — and Blitz on the same day

2) Octavia, his daughter AND only precautionary heir, was missing not to mention he was worried for her safety in the human world.

3) The unresolved issue from happened at Ozzie’s is STILL there. Hence why Stolas had no tolerance for Blitz’s blasé attitude, even though it seemed like Stolitz’s husbandly banter was played off as a joke.

Hell! You can even see that Blitz wasn’t expecting Stolas to stand up for himself

It also doesn’t have to be an strong emotion when Stolas’s pupils appear in his owlish form (him being human doesn’t count haha). It can also happen when he’s using the “petrification” ability — which turns people into stone like Medusa 😂 — both times in 1x02 (Loo Loo Land) after nearly mugged & 2x04 (Western Energy), but the Blessed Rope suppressed his magical powers when he had been aggravated enough to try it on Striker

Finished Season 1 of my HSMTMTS rewatch and I am having FEELINGS

Honestly I just love season 1. Like I adore all the seasons obviously, for their own reasons, but there's just something about season 1. Not only the first season but the first one I saw, and it's just so special. I remember looking at the tag after the season, before I even had a Tumblr account, and freaking out over the deleted scenes. And laughing over it with my sister but still being actually excited for the next episode to come out. I know I can always rewatch it, and the rest of the show, but it's still sad knowing we'll never get another curtain call, another choosical, another school dance, another what team, and another of every other amazing moment after next week.

I'm just not ready to let them go :'/
