Oh to live in a country where Halloween is a big event

#itchyballstalk #balls being genuine and talking ab life for a moment #i'd love to walk around and see people in costumes left and right #shitty halloween decorations here and there #trick or treating being more of a thing #people in crazy costumes getting their pictures taken #gods. im SO lucky i got to experience Halloween in Dublin last year it was so great #i was dressed up as Laughing Jack and looked freaky and weird (as perusual) and it made people smile !!!#an entire family on vacation took pictures with me they were so happy #a guy who saw me in a mall literally yelled OH MY GOODNESS and kids were going ooooooohhhhh #i wish i had walked around the city a bit longer. just to see other people who were dressed up and having fun #I mean we do have Carnaval here but it would be so cool if Halloween was just as big of an event for dressing up #the Touloulous and gorilla costumes in the chilly night would go CRAZYYYYYY #i should get back to writing my report.

vision is so crazy... wdym things dont have colour... like technically marios hat is every colour except red bc to see it as red its rejecting/reflecting red at my eyes??? thats nuts. learning about inattentional blindness and change blindness explains like 90% of brain games episodes which is also nuts. and our wiring for face recognition in general is crazy if you think about it for too long. can you guess what psych unit 4 is about!

I talk a lot about Nathalie on this blog but I don't mention Placide much

I have this headcanon that they're best friends. Like. Super close. Which I think is really funny given the different backgrounds, but also you can't work for Gabe for 15+ years and not make fun of him behind his back with someone.

Also I have a headcanon that they're both autistic and Placide is nonverbal but they can communicate basically just by raising their eyebrows at each other.

Idk I just think they're really cute in a platonic/sibling way.

brain's full of bees and I'm dealing with an annoying tail-end-of-a-cold thing still But I have fajita ingredients and a murderbot diaries audiobook on the go (with another for after) so LET'S DO THIS

(these audiobooks are a godsend (sidenote I do need to find a secular alternative to that.) like this is probably indicative of a less than great baseline mental state but it is in fact so so helpful to be able to just pick up where I left off while doing small chores and in need of the escapism & something to calm The Bees. thank you martha wells thank you kevin r free keep up the gorgeous work <3)
