So uh, Good Omens. 🥺 I really enjoyed the first series but didn’t expect to be as utterly annihilated by season 2 in the way that I have. There’s just so much LOVE in it, like sinking into a hot bath at the end of a long day, and that it’s so unapologetically queer as well is just the icing on top. Episode 6 just about ended me though and if we don’t get a season 3 I may implode. I don’t want to spoil it for anyone who hasn’t seen it yet but if anyone wants to talk meta/rant/gush/cry together about it just DM me because I am Going Through It. 🥺😩🙈 After my second watchthrough I knew I just had to draw Crowley during that conversation and as soon as I saw the tears in his eye I knew I’d found the moment. I haven’t drawn anything digitally in forever so I’m actually over the moon with how it turned out, and I honestly can’t believe it’s taken me so long to draw David Tennant properly because he has SUCH a good face. 😂 I’ll probably attempt an Aziraphale as well because there are so many moments I want to try to capture. (I’m leaning towards the ‘smitten’ bit at the moment 🥹)

If you haven’t watched Good Omens at all I am begging you, you must, it’s so good. The first season has a bit of a different vibe to S2 but it’s just 😩👌

Anyway, I did this in Clip Studio Paint if anyone’s wondering. I rarely do realism because I’m always really nitpicky about my own work but I’m just so so pleased with this one, I can’t believe I managed it! 🥹

Happy goomerversary to meeee I'll finally post these on here. Some preliminary face studies/screenshot redraws so I can get a hang on how to combine actual likeness with my general level of stylization (and thus be able to freehand them without such a reliance on a single reference). I drew Az today and both Crowleys a couple months ago

Fantastic Fanfic Promotion!!!

I just finished @klikandtuna's incredible third installment of a Good Omens human AU, Sky Clear Blue on AO3. For real, it's amazing, and check out Find The Light and Every Damn Day while you're at it. There's a triple-fic crossover coming Dec 9, so keep your eyes peeled!

Meanwhile, I've been trying to picture younger, human versions of Zira and Crowley as written in Sky Clear Blue. While I have a decent enough imagination, it wasn't *quite* coming together. So, I decided to bust out my paltry "art" skills and just "draw" them myself. They're down at the end, below the cut.

I found a shot of Michael Sheen from 'Wilde,' which (if I did the math right) would make him 27 in the pic. Same with David Tennant; found one from 2001-2002, when he'd have been 31. I took a bit of liberty with Crowley's eyes; the color choices available to me didn't match the champagne description in the fic, so I went with the color I'm dreaming up in my own fic (stay tuned).

Now before you ask, yes, I did basically just color over actual pictures (of which I do not own copyright and claim no such ownership). But be gentle with me; all I've got is the 'draw' function in MS Word and a vague notion of how to make peoples' faces look like faces. The art gene skipped right over me from my dad and went straight into my daughter. Really I just did this to get a better idea of what a 27-year-old human Zira and a 31-year-old human Crowley would look like as described in the fic. So here they are. I had fun making them. Hope it at least makes you smile 😁
