A while ago my friend @rice-n-honey and I joked about setting up an experiment where we could test the logistics of John and Arthur’s… situation, and today we decided to actually put it into action by trying out an escape room.

I (right) was John and Rice was Arthur, and we established some rules to make it as accurate to the podcast as possible.

1. Arthur is blindfolded

2. John��s right arm is tied to Arthur’s left

3. John is not allowed to drag Arthur around, just direct him on where to go

4. John is not allowed to use his left hand, only their shared hand (the tied one)

5. Only Arthur is allowed to communicate with the game runner via the walkie talkie

Needless to say, we did not manage the escape room in time, but I’d say it was a noble attempt given our movement speed and dexterity was quartered, and our vision was halved. And it was it was a 2-8 person escape room. The bottom line is we both sympathize with John and Arthur greatly because it was a struggle.

If anyone else is deranged enough to try this, please get back to us with your results. Because science, or something.

Anyway, this was tons of fun, and much thanks to the game runner for putting up with our antics.

The gold trimming, the sleeves, the dip below the throat that arc 1's Viren's larger shoulder coverings mostly well, cover. In some ways it feels like Callum's high mage outfit borrows from both these Virens, which is pretty fitting, honestly (while maintaining some of his own Callum'y flair, of course)

the story has no real reason to take us to veritas prime but i hope it does solely because it would be funny if everyone, characters in-universe included, assumes ratio's clothing is indicative of the style of his homeworld, but when we get there it turns out everyone wears togas.

ratio's skimpy black underlayer is comparatively covered up like a Victorian widow in mourning. the boob window is actually stuffy and conservative, everyone else is running around with at least one tit fully out at all times. they think he's the weird one for wearing pants. it would serve no narrative purpose whatsoever but it would entertain me greatly
