I had only seen a few shots of this dress before watching the scene in the movie where it appears, so I didn't realize it was supposed to be from the 1970s! It fits in quite well with the ornate trends of the 1990s. I was also surprised to find that the dress is just a sheer shell covered with sequins. It looks like she's wearing it over a white or cream-colored underdress in the publicity shot, but in the film itself, she appears to be wearing nothing underneath--or possibly a flesh-colored undergarment that gives that appearance.

In 2020, Sharon Stone reminisced about this costume in Vogue: “That dress was so heavy, and those vintage sequins were made of metal, so they cut you. It was miserable to wear, but also very exciting. Our cinematographer Bob Richardson would do these amazing long shots that would move through a room, then sweep down and around the chandelier, and then go out into the street with someone getting a cab, for example. You’d have to light your cigarette at the exact moment he passed, everything was so precise and had a hundred different elements to it. During these marvelous shots, you’re not going to complain about your freaking dress!”

Anyways I looked at the old Lumen redesigns which are 5 FUCKING YEARS OLD THEY'RE AS OLD AS S8 ITSELF. so I wanted to change them up lol. space mermaid time. In order it's Twinkly, Lumilla, Queen Dorana, Prince Argen, and Obscurum! A bit of info below:

Lumens are a race of small beings slightly bigger than Pixies, who live in Lumenia or near stars. They have 10 different color variations (yellow, green, red, blue, purple, orange, pink, black, brown, and white), and outside the royal family are all monochrome. They’re born from the Cosmic Rivers, streams of colored light that flow in Lumenia and near all planets, connecting them for travel. It was the first batch of Cosmix magi that solidifed contact and trade between the realms, and it’s thanks to the Rivers that interplanetary travel appeared in the first place. Lumens are pure light given physical form, and are similar to merfolk in appearance. Their hair seems to glimmer and sparkle as well. Much like pixies, they’re completely genderless, but majorly take on gender neutral or feminine appearances. They all have the magic of light and darkness, being made of it, and can bend it to their will. They are ruled by Queen Dorana and her brother Prince Argen, who safekeep the power of Cosmix and grant it to those that complete their quest.

Twinkly is one of Dorana’s elite messengers, delivering and receiving all kinds of information. She’s very excitable and bouncy, and does her job with pride. She was tasked with requiring assistance from the Solarian Royal Family after the disappearance of Prince Argen, and then accompanies the Winx during their ordeals.

Lumilla is Twinkly’s romantic partner. She’s a kind and patient Lumen, but has an iron will and will make her unpleseanties known. She joins her girlfriend and the Winx after a couple more incidents, not wanting to be away from her.

Queen Dorana is the acting ruler of Lumenia, having been in the throne for over 6000 years by now, and also one of the holders of Cosmix. She spends the first half of AUS8 in distress over the disappearance of Argan.

Prince Argen assists his sister in ruling, acting as ambassador and diplomat when she can't, as well as also being one of the holders of Cosmix. He's kidnapped early on by Neruman and both manipulated and drugged into becoming Obscurum, becoming his recon agent/attacker, collecting the energy of various magical items scattered in the stars.

Portraits for various Bionicle characters in the style of the Toa Disks from 2004! Most of them were traced from Studio screenshots (credits for any custom masks used are below)

Apart from Vakama's (which is a recreation of the print from the set, based on a picture from Bricklink), all the Metru disks are traced from on their respective Gold Canister designs from Bionicle Heroes, hence their shoulders connecting to the corner circles at different heights and some having sloped shoulders. Their background colours are based on their Turaga designs' primary colour.

@nattarthetimedragon suggested I do the Metrutoran disks, so I did. I decided to give Ehrye's mask a scope and remove Orkahm's.

The Mata were actually the second ones I did; I moved them down to accommodate the Metrutoran. The scratches around their icons are all the same ones, just rotated slightly. I couldn't be bothered to draw new ones, and I didn't put the scratches on any of the other ones.

I was going to do the Inika and the Mahri, but I couldn't get the set-accurate Inika masks to look good in this style, so I scrapped them. Remember this for later.

And by later, I mean now; instead of doing 1:1 adaptations of the Kadin and Suletu, I messed with the layout and design of their features to create my own personal "inorganic" designs for them; the Kadin's "mouth" is replaced with a pair of horizontal lines next to a mouth-hole, and the Suletu is symmetrical and has several Matatu-style mouth-lines angled to resemble the original mask's teeth. Their eyes have also been moved slightly. Originally, Varian's Calix was the same, but it didn't look good so I replaced it with Galva's Inorganic Calix Redux.

The masks used as references for Gaaki, Bomonga, Pouks and Kualus are Rothanak's most recent interpretation of Gaaki's mask (which isn't actually meant to be what a Mask of Clairvoyance looks like, like it's canon that it's a Mask of Clairvoyance, but one in the shape of a different, unspecified mask), Galva's non-aquatic Faxon and champion Kakama, and Bigphan's Mask of Sensory Aptitude, respectively.

I wanted to do Nidhiki's mutated form, but I couldn't figure out how it would work in this style so instead I did an alternate version based on Rothanak's Kualsi/Volitak hybrid. Also Tuyet's designs are based on both of Galva's Mask of Intangibility designs (normal Tuyet is the original one, while Empress!Tuyet is the updated version).

I don't really have any notes for the third row. Moving on,

I worked on the fourth row simultaneously with the one below it. Also trying to differentiate Icarax from Teridax was pretty hard to figure out.

I'm not massively proud with how Gorast turned out, but otherwise. Yeah this is fine.

For the Chronicler's Company, I went with their MNOG II masks and colour schemes.

@nattarthetimedragon also suggested that I do Turaga versions of the Metru Disks, so I did that. The boxy parts next to the "shoulders" are meant to evoke the way the Turaga robes look in the Miramax movies, as well as the Turaga's rectangular bodies in their sets.

Artakha's mask is based on Galva's canon Mask of Creation, and Karzahni's Olisi is based on Godfyr's Olisi (with elements of the original illustration). Tren Krom's icon is inspired by his description on Biosector, along with how I personally imagine him looking; also, unlike all the other icons, his colours aren't sampled from Studio. At this point I ran out of ideas, hence why the third image only has like two and a half rows instead of five.

Several rounds later, after being decimated in every single one of them, she'd found herself outmatched and naked. #2 title: Field Trip Part 4: Malkia Wa Makahaba (Finale) Idol(s): BLACKPINK Jennie & Lisa, Jeon Somi, EVERGLOW E:U, TWICE Sana & Momo, G-IDLE Minnie, and ITZY Ryujin Words so far: 1.20k Expected words: 12-15k Expected release date: June 30th, 2025 Summary: Jennie, Jaali, Yusufu, Chiumbo, Aboyo, and Kariuki set out to retrieve Somi immediately following the end of FT3. Momo has been sent to retrieve a solid gold relic from the tomb of a dead village chief. Upon exiting with the relic, she finds herself faced with fifty very unhappy natives. Some keep calling melnem megzag redux and just. That's not right. At least not 100%.

Maybe in the most superficial sense but arguably melnem has more similarities to thanzag than Megzag. As much physical altercations Melnem has, I never get the impression that Nemesis wants to kill Melinoe dead. Like placed with the opinion to fight to the death ala Meleris beach fights, I think Nem would find an excuse to not take the final shot. Play it out as it being beneath her or something but the ultimate true reason is that she cares too much in her own way to kill Melinoe for real.

Megaera's fights with Zagreus remember were something both were forced into cause of Zagreus's insistence that he had to get out of the Underworld/find Persephone, and that as a Guardian of the Underworld, Meg was put to fight him cause she worked for Hades. They both did not want this, for various reasons, and the violence did not start out as sport. It becomes that with time, but what doesn't change is that their fights are to the death regardless. And the reason they did not want to fight isn't cause of taking it too far (heck they start out flirting with one another referencing their past BDSM relationship), but simply cause the other is being an obstacle they don't want to deal with and don't want to associate with the other cause of that past failed relationship.

By contrast, while Melinoe assumes her and Nemesis's relationship has fallen apart and tries to "remedy" it, Nem throws out the offer cause in her mind, what they have going on isn't broken. She and Mel both clearly get off to their rivalry thing, but it's clearly a rivalry, not anything more serious than that. Which Megzag is. And even one could argue that some of Nem's "tests" are ways to get Mel stronger for the task. How can she defeat Chronos if she can't deal 1000 damage* to Nem??? Or beat her in a 100 gold wager? Or take a hit for 20 blood? Either way I cannot see it escalating as much as Nem says it could. Otherwise, she'd be a boss like Eris. And Nem doesn't want it to be.

Nem's whole deal is that she's extremely emotionally constipated so her care manifests in her acting in seemingly obtuse or counterproductive ways. Her whole deal complaining about it isn't "fair" that Melinoe gets the task isn't really about her getting the task per se (at least, not 100%), but also cause it's not fair to Melinoe. Melinoe who has done nothing in Nemesis's worldview to warrant it. Nem decides to remedy this by seemingly taking it out on everyone, Melinoe include, cause as @lililasagna aptly points out, she has the emotional intelligence of "a slab of concrete."

*Doubling as Nem getting the edge off cause she clearly gets off to it.

Happy Easter/Ostara long weekend all. In celebration of the festivities I have a special #fanart experience for those who love #Heart-Shapes by LadyFlowDi and ShipstoSail. (And FairManor’s accompanying #podfic) It’s my first ever Mood-Book to Fashion & Passion. What started out as a few sketches & watercolours of scenes I loved, to distract me from a boring bout of COVID19 in Feb, has turned into a project 80 images strong. A combo of illustrations, AI-mishmash, Canva-esque arty-fartyness and repurposed pics of our fav gang. Miscellaneous Nog headcanons I have in no particular order; nsfvv edition (redux)

Holy communication Batman. That shit is at the forefront of the entire thing. This silver(gold?) tongue mf isn’t just telling his partner to use their words to get a rise out of them (maybe a little but that’s beside the point-) he wants to know exactly what they want and how they want it, nothing more and nothing less.

Outside the verbal communication, and once he feels comfortable enough, he can be quite vocal.

Anatomically/biologically obligatory voice/hand kink.

Addendum to the hand stuff; minor glove kink as certain fabrics simply feel nice on his lobes. Also very good with his hands in his own right.

(A prayer in flame)

The scent struck her first—sulfur, soot, and the ghost of feathers. An aftertaste of something divine, murdered.

Y/N stepped into the charred husk of what used to be an antique shop. Her boots made no sound, muffled by layers of ash, soot, time. The air tasted like a scream that had burned itself to smoke.

Dean muttered, nose wrinkled. “Real fixer-upper. Think Lucifer gives you reward points for every place like this you torch?”

Sam said nothing.

He moved like a man chasing ghosts, or like one being hunted by them. His eyes tracked something invisible. Not spirit, not shade. A pull. A pulse. A memory he couldn’t name but felt all the same.

Y/N followed his gaze.

The bones of the building gave way to a back room. What remained of the structure creaked as they crossed the threshold—as though the walls were breathing, bracing.

At the center, scorched into the floorboards, was a summoning circle. Ancient. Intentional. Not demonic, not celestial. Somewhere in between. Its lines curled like grief. The symbols inside were not from any ritual book she'd ever read—and she'd read more than most.

Black feathers clung to the edges of the room, melted to ash. Whatever had happened here hadn’t just burned—it had unraveled.

She knelt at the edge of the circle, fingers hovering above the remains. The ash pulsed faintly.

“Not divine,” she whispered.

Sam stood beside her now, silent. Watching.

Dean lingered by the doorframe. “So... cult cosplay? Or are we talking full-blown demon PTA meeting?”

“It’s more than that,” Y/N said, voice low. “This was for anchoring. Someone tried to bind a Key. A relic.”

That word hit Sam like a slap.

She noticed. She always did.

✶ Vestigium Occultum ✶

(A hidden trace)

They split up briefly—Dean disappearing into a side room filled with scorched taxidermy and cracked mirrors. Y/N took the ruined bookshelves.

Sam lingered at a desk half-eaten by flame.

The wood had buckled, drawers fused or broken. He forced one open. It splintered like old bone. Inside, half-buried in debris and soot, something pulsed faintly. Red-gold. Alive.

He reached for it.

The shard sang when he touched it.

It wasn’t a sound—not in the air. It moved through his blood. An ancient hum of language too old for words. It recognized him. Not just as Sam Winchester.

As something more.

Power prickled under his skin. He yanked his hand back, eyes wide.

Footsteps. A voice.

“Anything useful?” Y/N called from the hallway.

His heart slammed against his ribs. He grabbed the shard, tucked it into his coat pocket. Buried it like guilt.

“Just junk,” he called.

The lie left his mouth smooth, well-practiced. And poisonous.

(A broken mirror)

Rain stitched a slow lullaby across the Impala’s roof.

Y/N sat in the backseat, arms wrapped around herself like armor. Dean drove, muttering about motel food and the lack of decent wi-fi in this ghost town of a state.

Sam didn’t say a word. His eyes were elsewhere. On roads he hadn’t driven. On choices he hadn’t made. Or had.

In the rearview mirror, she caught his reflection.

His gaze met hers for a heartbeat. Then another.

There was no heat. No hate.

Just something fractured. Familiar. The ache of a name spoken in dreams. And forgotten on waking.

Then he blinked, and the moment dissolved.

✶ Memoria Dulcis ✶

(A sweet memory)

The library wore its dust like a funeral veil. Silence clung to every corner.

Dean tapped out after twenty minutes, muttering, “I’ll let you two lovebirds figure out the end of days,” before vanishing into the night.

She stayed. Sam stayed.

Books spread across the table in fragile piles. She scribbled notes. He translated dead languages like they were prayers.

The quiet stretched long, thin. Then—

She returned from the vending machine balancing two cups. Cheap, hot, imperfect.

She slid one in front of him.

Sam blinked. Then stared.

The name written in permanent marker across the lid stopped him cold.

His name. Sam. In her handwriting. Slightly crooked.

He let out a short laugh—quiet, but real.

“I can’t believe you remembered that,” he said, eyes soft with something that hadn’t surfaced in years.

“I never forgot,” she replied, a small smile tugging at her mouth. “I thought it was sweet. The way you left it behind, like a little kindness in the wreckage.”

He looked at her like he hadn’t been allowed to in a long time.

His hands curled around the cup like it was something sacred.

“I thought about you,” he said, voice low. “More than I should’ve.”

She didn’t answer.

Didn’t need to.

The coffee cooled between them.

Research resumed. But the air was heavier now. The kind of quiet you find after something breaks.

Y/N pulled a leather-bound codex from a forgotten shelf. Set it down. Opened it.

Sam had left his coat slung over a chair. Careless.

Something inside the lining glinted.

Her eyes narrowed.

She reached forward.

A relic shard. Red-gold. Whispering.

The second she touched it, it burned. Not flame. Not heat.

Betrayal.

She recoiled.

Sam looked up. Met her eyes. Knew.

And didn’t speak.

“You found it at the shop,” she said. “And you lied.”

“I didn’t know what it was,” he offered, but his voice was too calm. Too late.

She rose to her feet.

“You never do,” she whispered. “Not until it’s already too late.”

He didn’t stop her when she walked away.

The kind of thing demons lusted for.

The kind of thing angels feared.

Sam had one. Y/N had touched it.

Now it belonged to both of them.

Sam stood in fire.

His eyes glowed gold. His mouth moved, but the words weren’t his. The Key pulsed in his hands. Each beat echoed like a scream she couldn’t silence.

She reached for him.

He burned her.

She woke with a gasp, blood on her pillow from a nosebleed that hadn’t stopped. The room was too dark. Too loud.

In the next room, Sam held the shard to his chest. Like it was the only thing that still made sense.

The voice returned, colder now.

She remembers. And soon—so will you.

Nondestructive NPCS (Unofficial update) — prevents NPCs from destroying your decor/items if they're blocking the NPC's path.

NPC Map Locations — another must-have mod. Shows you the locations of NPC in real time on your map.

Part of the Community — gives small friendship bonuses based on your relationships with NPCs' friends/families, times they've witnessed you talking to/giving gifts to others, and whether you're buying at their shops.

Pets Enhanced Mod — Enhances the Pet experience, making pets able to learn tricks as well as improving their AI(Cats and Dogs only).

Pet Overhaul — Adds new pets that can be purchased, including foxes, ferrets, hedgehogs, mini pigs, fennec foxes, capybaras, red pandas, bears, bearded dragons, and geckos.

Relocate Farm Animals — allows you to easily reassign what barn/coop/hutch animals are in.

Remapping - Minimap Project — Adds structures from installed mods to the mini-map to more accurately reflect the lay of the land.
