AITA for having posters in my room?

I (15 M) share an apartment with my boyfriend (15 M) and my sister (14 F) and we all have separate rooms. 

My sister has decorated her room with a pastel goth theme to it, including pink spiderwebs and little ghosts. It's as if Halloween and Hello Kitty were fused together. I have a few posters of a character I like from a video game in mine, but other than that I just have a few figurines and my chocorobo collection. My boyfriend barely has any decorations in his room, but he does have some tanks with the bugs he's collected. 

I don't like the bugs, but they're in his room so that's fine, he can keep them there and I just won't go in. But recently he's taken an issue with the posters in my room saying it's "weird" to have so much merch of just a single character. 

Quite honestly? I think he's jealous that she's all over my walls because he doesn't have a problem with my sister decorating her room. I told him I won't get rid of the posters unless he gets rid of his beetles, and he said we can't compare that because they're live creatures and his "friends" and my posters are "just posters". 

Edit: the video game is Greed Island, and yes I've completed it ;) 

Edit 2: they're rhinoceros beetles mainly, but there are a few other types

Hello, thanks for asking!

This has been a long and tedious conversation we have been having on the development team.

On one hand, the novely of Greed Island comes from the limited knowledge of what actually goes on within the game, as there can only be 100 players online at any given time. Half of the team was resolved to keep everything game exclusive, with all of our efforts focused on game maintenance and expansion. The other half wanted to profit off of merchandise.

But, after we discussed it over two years ago at our anual meeting, we have decided to move forward with producing official greed island merchendise- laced with nen.

There are multiple ways to create items using nen, and multiple ways to enhance them as well, though keeping a consistent flow of aura to the items to perform their tasks proved quite a challenge- and one the development team was willing to tackle. Over the past two years we have made another breakthrough in nen technology that has allowed us to expand our knowledge of what nen can do. Since this fits with our brand, we have moved forward with it and are almost ready to implement it.

Our online shop will debut January 2023 under the adress www.greedisland_shop.hunt (only accessible from computers within the Greed Island server to limit goods to those who have access to the game)

I’ve been having a great time commissioning @jazzpng_ on insta to make me this piece idea and I couldn’t have been happier! 💕✨

Killua’s showing Goldie all of the pictures he took in his adventures with Gon and Alluka. He organized all of the photographs in one book and came to her mansion with it since she can’t exactly go out very often.

Goldie can’t read (or even write) so Killua took the liberty to read to her every small sentences underneath each pictures that Alluka wrote so that Goldie can have a better context on what specifically happened in every single images.

The both of them noticed that a lot of time has passed and so they decided to change into their sleepwears and continued reading in a much more comfortable environment, all snuggled up in blankets with pillows.

I’m so happy and grateful that @jazzpng_ let me have the full process of the different concepts for Goldie’s hairstyles along with her and Killua’s different pyjamas.

I was really into Goldie’s other hairstyles which were the two braids and the other one where she simply lets her hair out. But I decided to tell her to keep her original hairstyle with the two buns since she looks way too iconic with them (and also cuz she’s wearing two scrunchies in that style and it’s super cute on her-).

The banner with these two together looks even more adorable with all the lights hanging around 💖✨

(hi! rereading my answer i noticed i come across as crass; so sorry if my tone reads as like i'm mad or upset or angry. talking about getting harassed just makes me feel exhausted).

i like killudust because it's funny and random and it makes me laugh.

ultimately when it comes to ships i like, if it can make me laugh, it shoots up into my top 3 favorites. my otps in any fandoms, the majority of the time, are crackships because i found them funny. my first crackship was gaz x GIR from invader zim when i was 8 or 9 (invader zim was also my first online fandom at around this time btw). i have ALWAYS loved crackships. i have ALWAYS loved silly pairings that made me laugh, whether they had canon basing or not (but them having no canon backing and being very random helped the funny-factor for me)

so as for where killudust stands on my ship list, it genuinely is my OTP for HxH (and in my top 3 for overall ships across all fandoms i am in). i used to REALLY love killugon because of all the silly scenarios one could make with them, because these two characters have such funny interactions!! i started being vocal about killua x gold dust girl in early-mid 2020, so that's a little over two years.

(note: i've talked about killudust on other servers i'm no longer in before these screenshots)

so i've considered killudust my #1 hxh ship for a little over two years, actually.

but unfortunately, romantic killugon has gotten pretty soured for me? i still love platonic/queerplatonic killugon don't get me wrong! but the way the fandom on twitter acts about ships that paired gon and killua with other people (and ESPECIALLY killua with female characters). like, being accused of heinous things and getting a bout of harassment SOLELY for being vocal about a crackship i liked and making silly drawings for it just absolutely severed any love i had for killugon in response. being called a homophobic pedophile (she's??? a card game character??? and it appears like she's within his age range if not a little bit older??? and even then i portray her as a fictional character he "waifus" and not an actual character. like???) and being called a proshipper (this word has been divorced of all meaning it literally means nothing anymore if ppl can just fling it at anyone who ships anything against the status-quo) for a non-problematic crackship just really killed any desire i had to make anymore content for killugon.

unfortunately hxh is no longer my hyperfixation, and hyperfixation is usually a big factor in fandom content i create. but sometimes i'll find a drive to create hxh content again (especially if my friends still into hxh manage to wrangle that inspiration and motivation out of me) and USUALLY i've noticed that motivation comes in the form of killudust. so the handful of times i've dipped my toes back into hxh after my hyperfixation ended was for killudust, so most likely if i were to make hxh content in the future again— it would probably be killudust. i'm a spiteful person by nature, so i'm definately not letting anything STOP me from making things i WANT to make. sometimes it even fuels me to make it even more when it's fresher.

but i hope this answers your questions! i appreciate that you've been paying attention to me, sometimes i just think i scream into a void where no one sees ahaha <3

i’D HEARD IT WAS A REALLY BAD CHAPTER. this is a late response but MANGA READERS THAT ONE WEEK... we were all a mess (and no I haven’t watched but I’ve been recommended to do so quite a lot so I’ll hop on it soon!) 

Hmm!!!! I actually find a *shorter* first chapter is a good way to hook the reader without making them claw through too much writing to get a sense of what’s going on. Like, if I see a first chapter is reallllly long I sometimes have to do it to em, and scroll a bit to the middle to see what’s going on, and to double check that it’s a fic I want to take the time to read

1300 words isn’t too much though!!! Omg I’ve written much longer first chapters lmao. If you feel weird about it you can maybe find a good place to split that 1300 into two chapters?? But definitely make sure it’s split in a good place. It’s always good to leave the reader wanting more. If you can end on a short cliff hanger or a tense moment, that’s 10/10

That being said it would probably be wise to make the rest of the chapters of a similair average length. I’ve read fics that have shorter or longer chapters and it’s not bad (unless I’m grieving because it’s too short AND I REQUIRE MOREEE) but it might help you with actually planning your plot

I don’t really think Feitan is... so far removed from his emotions (Like Meruem) that he would really need to change that drastically for someone if he really liked them—that being said, he’s not going to change, either. If by change we mean he’s suddenly as enamored and endearing with them as Meruem is with Komugi... then I don’t think that’s going to happen regardless. We kinda see Feitan being a good and decently considerate comrade to the Troupe, so that would obviously extend to this girl/boy, maybe with a sliver of extra fondness if we’re talking romantically. But otherwise, Feitan seems like a “you get what you get” type of guy, that would inherently be *tender* with someone he liked, but not so tender that he’d have to have a whole philosophical/personality change

Ok now I’m confusing myself aksjdhfkjs. Basically:

Meruem had to like, undergo some existential shit to get where he was Komugi. I think Feitan already has the capacity to care for someone, even if his way of caring isn’t exactly rainbows and butterflies. So it’s not like he has to change. He just has to find the right person that doesn’t 1) get on his nerves and 2) get on his nerves enough that he’s gonna kill them

It’s been so long since I watched Psycho Pass or even looked into anything about it so pls take my thoughts with a grain of salt but:

I’m gonna say probably not? He’s one of those typical antags that have such strong ideals that... I don’t think even if the corrupt system was taken down he’d be entirely absolved of his ideals, or at the least, of the journey he’s taken in pursuit of those ideals. I don’t think a guy like him could ultimately settle down once the dust clears, and especially not with a lover or a family or anything like that. If he did want to lead a normal life it would probably be in seclusion
