i was casually talking about a3 to someone who doesn’t know a3, and with whom i’m just casually acquittance with, and i casually brought up Hisoka’s songs, and *casually* mentioned it was ruining me, and the guy jumped to the conclusion “yeah he seems soulcrushing, but i get why you’d have a crush” because he knows me by my icon, and i slipped and went “oh no i don’t crush to him at all, i relate to him actually” and then he asked “oh, in what way?” and. Jesus. this casual conversation turned into the most “if i say even one more thing or even mention a bit of Hisoka’s story i’m saying ways too much about myself”, this casual conversation turned into a walking on egg simulator in one fucking instant 😭😭

Sneaks, taking a deep breath, knocked on the door. It didn’t take nearly as long for Marie to open it than they thought, leaving them buffering.

“Hi,” Sneaks breathed out, clearing their throat. “Hi, Marie.”

“Well this is a surprise,” Marie said with a smile. “Milo isn’t here right now, if that’s who-“

��I came to talk to you, actually,” Sneaks cut her off, feeling guilty immediately. They barely knew this woman, and already they were so rude to her. “Can I come in?”

Marie, after a brief moment where her eyebrows scrunched together in confusion, stepped out of the way. “Yeah, of course. Come in and sit down, I’ll go get us something to drink.”

Sneaks couldn’t keep still while waiting for Marie to return. They wrung their hands together, knee bouncing with anxiety. They weren’t even sure just why they were so nervous in the first place. Was it because it was Milo’s mother? Or just because of what they were asking?

“So,” Marie said, setting down a tray on the coffee table. She brushed invisible dirt off of her jeans before sitting on the opposite end of the couch, facing them. “What was it that you wanted to talk to me about?”

“It’s kinda about Milo,” Sneaks started, not entirely thinking their words over.

Marie raised an eyebrow. “Oh? You two have only been together, what, two months, and you already coming to me about Milo?”

“Four months, more like,” Sneaks corrected, hoping their tone sounded kind. “The thing is, something… happened. Back around when we first met. Milo got hurt in some accident—“ Marie didn’t need to know the details about the Shade, that would make this worse— “and I was the closest one to heal him at the time. The thing is, my healing magic isn’t particularly… refined, is a word for it.”

Marie, who was smiling softly at them, seemed to have caught on. “It hurt when you healed him, didn’t it?”

“Yes,” Sneaks confirmed. “I didn’t want to, I am just used to field magic is all.”

“Mhm,” Marie hummed, “and why do you bring this up?”

“I was wondering if you could.. I don’t know, maybe give me some pointers? I heard you are basically the pack healer, and everyone always sings such high praises of what you can accomplish.”

“You want me to help you practice?”

“Yes,” Sneaks said again, this time accompanied by a small sigh. “I just… I don’t want to put him through pain while I’m to do the opposite. Will you help me?”

Marie, who was smiling wider now, nodded. “Of course I can help you.”

This popped into my head while thinking about Milo’s recent healing audio. I just really want to see Marie and Sweetheart interactions so bad. Please. It would be so wholesome.
