A letter entry to my future love.
"Let me get to myself first, so I can get to you." - Avy Silva
I don't want my heart to be crushed several times before it reaches you. So, for the time being, let me bloom first in my own season until the day of your arrival. Then, perhaps, in front of a crowd of witnesses, I'll be able to proudly declare, "I have faithfully waited for you, my gracey."
-
As we enter the new year of 2022, I'd want to dedicate a series of letters to someone I haven't met, yet.
I used to write letters to my future love when God introduced this desire in my heart to have a God-centered family someday -- this is basically when I began my journey with the Lord in 2015. Every year, I also keep a journal for him. However, they were no where to be found, if I didn't lose, it was because I unintentionally quit -- the world we live in had fooled me twice, making me believe that I had finally found "the one". That brokenness snatched my heart and dragged me to the field of hopelessness. Yes, I have become a hopeless romantic, which causes me to look for love in the wrong places.
But this year, I'd like to return to the very heart of Jesus. Instead of looking for love in every person I meet, I'd merely pray for my heart and, unspecifically, for my future husband. For whoever and whatever position we are in at the moment God chooses to cross our paths, we would be happy that we placed our complete trust in the Maker of the best love stories ever written.
#lettersforyou are letters I wrote for God's best for me so that when we meet, we can look back and see that throughout my season of waiting, God never left my side and patiently intervining on my behalf while I go through my singleness. I don't want this to be just my narrative, or mine and my person's story, but a story about the three of us, about how a God who is very mindful brought grace and mercy into my life in a human form. 🙂

I want my love story to be one in which people hear the story and say, “Wow..that was God.” “HE truly wrote your story.” I want them to look at us and see God’s power and love. To see the beauty when two individuals who passionately pursue Christ come together and what amazing things can manifest as a result. To find hope and be encouraged. To see that when you do things His way He blesses it. #Pursued #Unwritten #LetGoandLetGod #FindingBoaz #GodsBest /mfcb/fiat90/Day88 https://www.instagram.com/p/CEyHYLGB5MyJNib0ovtf8zFaco4yrtV536IRDs0/?igshid=zm1vam9vopr0

Enjoying God's Best in Marriage Hello fam. How's your day going? Fellowship was awesome today as always. To get the full sermon, please visit and subscribe to our Youtube channel @hcccng via the link in bio. In the meantime, here are some excerpts; Marriage is God's initiative. Gen 2. 18 - 25. Eccl 4.10 - 11, every marriage has a purpose. Phil. 4. Eph. 5.22 - 28. The foundation of our relationships outwardly is a function of our surrender to Christ. A wife's submission to her husband is a show of her surrender to Christ. Likewise a man is to love his wife unconditionally exactly as Christ loves the church, a love marked by giving and not by getting. God's best is Christ, so to enjoy the best in our marriage, it has to be a marriage that is founded and modelled after Christ. 1 Cor. 7.17 Comparison is a trap. Do not compare your marriage with others. Remember, you are unique and your union is unique. So realize this, that where you are right now is God's place for you. God, not your marital status defines your life. 1 Cor. 7.4 Marriage is a training ground to grow in different aspects of our character. It's a growing concern. Understand that trust is very important. Pray together because that helps you to align your marriage purpose and assignments. Marriage is an opportunity to serve one another. It helps us to learn humility. It's a platform for God's purpose to be accomplished through us here on earth. Have a blessed week! #hcccng #marriage #godsinitiative #godtheauthor #godlychildren #godsbest #love #mutualrespect #mutualsupport #forever #ModelingChristAndTransformingLives #sundayservice https://www.instagram.com/p/CS4Ri3qDtCy/?utm_medium=tumblr

Just a heads up: I'm not a professional writer; I'm just sharing what kept me up all night a year ago around the same time, hehe. Anyways, I'm hoping that after reading this, you'll no longer choose to hurt His heart by clinging to the things He's been saving you from. 🙂

Dear Isaac, I Am Finally Letting You Go.
Have you ever been in a situation where you had to select between two options? Could it be related to your education, relationships, food, lifestyle, or just about anything else? It may be answered with a simple 'yes or no,' 'white or black,' 'plain or spicy,' or 'to stay or to let go.' Although, whatever the selection is, one thing is certain: it is difficult to make a choice especially if our heart breaks as we make it.
But why do people really have a hard time letting go?
A common misconception people make when hearing the concept is "baka pinagdadamutan lang talaga ako ng mundo" kind of drama. Or this very famous phrase "what if it is already ‘God’s best’ for me?" -- the exact same reason why we cannot take our personal choices confidently. Because of the fact that we are too afraid of the possible outcome; we don’t want to regret having mistakenly committed the act of losing our grip to something we used to hold.
But what if we knew exactly what God had planned for us? Would there be any reason to doubt?
When I was talking to a group of high school students two (or three) years ago, one of them showed me a random tweet that went something like this...
“What if he is not the one I have for you, my daughter?” asked God.
“Do as you please, God. Take him away from me, if you need to. I trust your plans over mine. You know who’s good for my heart” she answered, as tears start falling down her face.
“She surrendered her ‘Isaac’”
As I was getting close to the end, the last few words came to my attention. I wasn't certain what it meant at first, but after repeating it for the nth time, I realized it's about sacrificing what's occupying your heart more -- your greatest desire, your most requested and awaited prayer.
Genesis 22:2 tells the story of Abraham’s act of obedience and faithfulness to God.
“Take your son, your only son – yes, Isaac, whom you love so much – and Go to the land of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains, which I will point out to you”.
The concept back then was not of my interest because I couldn't relate to it, until last August of 2020. I knew for a fact that God was working on something within me, but I couldn't pinpoint what it was. When I eventually figured out what that was, I carelessly tried to brush it off. Because imagine you've been praying for something specific for a long time and then God calls you to surrender it over to Him all of a sudden after you've received it. How many of you would take heart and do it? Human nature: none would, obviously.
But Abraham the moment God asks him to give up Isaac – who was, by the way, his sole heart's desire; his breakthrough; his most treasured possession – immediately he acted according to what his Father commanded him, no matter how hard it could be, even if it was against his will, even if it actually broke his heart. He didn’t stray instead, he put his full trust in Him. Lo and behold, that leap of faith was so well recognized that he was even considered the “Father of Faith” because in the toughest situation of his life, he remained unshakeable.
I believe in a day-to-day basis, God is testing you and me in the same way. Take some time to think about what you consider to be the most significant aspects of your life. Is it a result of your academic pursuits? Your family? Wealth? Relationships? Or what about your future?
Will you give God the only thing that matters to you?
Sometimes, we find it hard to obey even though we know He deserves every single thing from us simply because we do not understand at all.
But, dear readers, hear me out: there is nothing more fulfilling than to submit under the lordship of the one true King. People begin to actually live when they make God their guide, leader, and voice. Though letting go is a self-sacrificial effort that involves a bucket of tears and courage, once you rest in God's sovereignity, you'll never have to second-guess yourself or your choices. You regain your completeness. You become whole in Him. Because to God, losing the world means gaining eternity with Him.
My prayer for all of you is that you will not be deceived  by the enemy, who will present you with red flags as green. I hope you find in your heart that God's "nos" equate to "I've got the best things lined up for you." All you have to do is take a leap of faith.

The prayer of Jabez is a famous prayer that many people are aware of. What strikes me is that in a chapter of 47 verses full of lineage that was unremarkable, God highlighted Jabez for two verses and showed His Grace. Jabez, in spite of his name being associated with “pain”, had enough desire (faith) to call on God and dared to ask of Him for vision, provision, favor, safety and to be free from his natural namesake. There was NO reason in the natural to substantiate Jabez’s request. He wasn’t royalty. He wasn’t politically connected. He wasn’t a priest, prophet or anything religious. He was a man who looked toward God and asked. What was the response? “God granted him what he REQUESTED”. God is looking for those who want a relationship with Him and want to see His power released in the lives. What are you asking God for? #ask #receive #faith #jesus #scripture #bible #godsbest https://www.instagram.com/p/B7laOdbDlTd/?igshid=1u7z27os0wna3
