What? Not in a betting mood, hmm? Ithruen: You're just gonna win. But sure. Deal. Taliesin (as heard by Naomi): Alright. Let's look at it together. See? Nothing to fear. Now… Let us try again, hmm? Aim for the middle. Here we go… Ready?

Page 2:

Sero: Never… never trust a Bosmer with firewood. Hey. Ease up a little. It's not like he is going to disappear if you stare at him hard enough… Trust me; I tried. The sooner we get back to Solstheim and finish this, the quicker you can be rid of him. That's what you are planning, right? Sera? … Hello? Semir?! Great. Now he's looking at you too. Taliesin: You know… I am aware of my charms, but I get the feeling you've got something heavier going on. What is it, hm? Afraid I will betray you, perhaps? Don't be. I am a mer of my word… whether you believe me or not. I could have easily killed both of you by now and I haven't, right? So, what's bothering you? Is there something on my face? Ahhh, I actually somewhat finished a piece of art 🥺 !!!

I tried a lot of new things for the colouring of this. Fields of Mistria is a very vibrant, very rich world of extremely harmonious colour palettes but despite its vibrance, what I take from it's art direction is definitely the coziness of its atmosphere and the way its characters can go from being all bright and aglow one moment to surprisingly thoughtful and personal in another. I wanted to capture that kind of vibe. While I still very much refuse to line or generally polish up any of my digital stuff, this is probably the only actually 'complete' bit of art I've done all year and I'm pretty proud of myself for it. Digital art's felt like this thousand head beast to slay for me and while I still don't understand a lot of it, I can't help but feel like this is a great accomplishment!

A couple additional notes:

Characters are colour coded in Fields of Mistria, so I wanted to keep that in mind while choosing colours for Hyacinth's outfit too. Hyacinth has always been associated with a deep, rich almost pthalo blue and gold for me, so I decided to make those his main colours. I'm not sure if there's such a thing as a neutral purple but I imagine that's what his coat is - realistically though, it should be brown or something. The desaturated plum sparks way more joy for me though.

Along with the colour of his sheep being indicative of what rank their breed is (FoM has 6 colour ranks for its animals, each more prestigious than the last - blue is Rank 3, the rank right before the really premium silver and gold tier animals) I also just think it's cute for Hyacinth to have blue sheep since teal and yellow-orange are Apollo's colours to me 😂

You actually can't buy animal accessories from the wagon in FoM but I figure Hermes wouldn't have too much problem acquiring some cute stuff on request. Aristaeus - the only other farmer left in town - hasn't had much time to sew up new animal accessories anyway considering how much rebuilding the town is doing. (Hyacinth already bought most of his other items 💀)

charlie and his brother are back living their normal lives - until a visiting scientist is stabbed in a local campground, right before a meeting between iwi and the government over local resources

they try to investigate and quickly learn that Whiro, atua of chaos is involved, sowing discord between various groups, and they have to figure out a way to solve things before anyone else gets hurt

LET'S TALK ABOUT THIS TWINK SORCERER AND HOW HE'S GETTING BOINKED BY AN OLD MAN

First? ✨Appreciate His Beautiful Face✨

Second, his backstory is definitely a work in progress, but thus far:

- His name is Tyhjä (Finnish for Void) and he's a Big Lightning Boy, aka a Charged Bolts build

- He's a bit of a Slüt, but how could you not be with nip rings built into the armor?

- His staff is crafted out of an ancient tree split by lightning, and he's traveled significantly across the continent to hone his grasp of the elements

- Realized he was falling for this dumb old man early in the campaign, making jokes about his Sparse Living Situation

- Neyrelle figured it out first

- Eventually learns some Horadric to figure out what on earth Lorath is constantly muttering and moaning about

The following are ✨campaign spoilers✨ since Tumblr sucks at letting me do Read More cuts:

- Ulterior motive for working for the Tree of Whispers? Trying to keep Lorath's head out of the branches as long as possible 😌

- But definitely bribes the Tree to let him borrow the old man's skull every once and a while when he's finally collected

- Ends up delivering Lorath's head himself because, honestly, he's not too keen on the ravens' decapitation quality

- Accidentally Good Boy's Mephisto at least once (and probably got bit in the process)

I hate when I watch the gameplay, and I put the pieces together so fucking quickly and then I have to keep watching this mother fucker of character being alive.
