Thinking about how WoT #6 makes it really clear what Aes Sedai think of women who've been stilled. The aversion, the fear, the disgust and near-reproachful attitude. Thinking of how show!Moiraine likely worried about this at least subconsciously in regards to Siuan after being shielded. Thinking of Moiraine trying desperately to hold onto her conviction as she soldiers forward in her mission, all the while cringing hopelessly away from the idea of Siuan looking at her differently now that her powers are gone. Wondering if the absence of that commonality would change the way Siuan spoke to her, respected her, loved her. Thinking of how carefully Siuan handles it once Lan tells her, how nimbly she tries to step around the pain she knows rips Moiraine apart. How gently she tries to shoulder Moiraine's burden, how willing she is to do whatever it takes to protect their mission and protect Moiraine too. Thinking about how all this goes unsaid yet is so, so clear because Rosamund and Sophie are fucking goddesses

Thoughts while reading:

* I kind of love that Cormia is a heretic.

* I don’t understand Phury’s hair. Does he just have great highlights?

* Oh my god. Ten minutes, John? Really? I’m going to have to bleach my brain after this.

* I get the sense Mr. D is going to be like Siuan Sanche with fishing sayings—all home-spun Texan every two minutes, despite no longer being a red-blooded American. Oh, he thinks he gets to go to heaven when the Brotherhood stakes him. Oh, you sweet (horrible) summer child.

* Being a pothead wasn’t messed up enough so Phury is expressing his inner serial killer, but Z being all out of sorts because he has to track Phury because he’s being a sadist is richly ironic. I feel like Cormia isn’t really suited to dealing with this level of dysfunction. But then Wrath actually mentions therapy! Even though he dismisses it. We’re getting so close!

* Ok, I will admit I fully thought John was gonna be the Omega’s son (even though I know he’s not cause the Scribe Virgin did her thing?). But it could not have happened to a more deserving SOB than Lash.

* “Gallows humor is part of having a doctor in the house. Deal with it.” I love Jane.

* I support Cormia taking control of sex with Phury. But he is really tap dancing on my last nerve. Addicts tend to get really selfish. Cormia deserves better than this.

* Aww, girl bonding time is actually happening in the house! About damn time.

* I love Blay and Qhuinn (god, the spelling in these books) and they are my new otp.

* Cormia, you are a goddess. You tell Phury exactly what’s what.

* Trez and iAm—we get their stories eventually? I’m getting intrigued, and even interested in Rehvenge which I never expected

* Phury, you cannot do this to Layla. She is dying for sex. Someone needs to tell her she is pretty and give her really good sex. Qhuinn? Maybe Qhuinn is up for it?

* I support anything that upsets the Scribe Virgin and shakes up her world. She’s a terrible god.

* Phury does not deserve Cormia. There, I said it. Maybe in a few years when he’s been sober and figured out who he is without the drugs. My head cannon is that both of them go and have really good sex with other people for a few years, and then maybe they get back together, after Cormia has a degree in architecture and Phury has coached some Chosen into being real vampires.

* Z❤���! Reconcilliation is so beautiful.

Bottom line: Drug addicts should probably not jump into a relationship as soon as they start sobriety, so this is a total fantasy, but definitly a lovely HEA. Rock bottom is not a fun place to hang out. Blay and Qhuinn are the best.
