So I came across this little vase painting of Iris with baby Hermes and I just had to do it in my style. I don't know the context of the original artwork, I haven't been able to find anything about Hermes being raised by Iris or a version where Iris was his mother instead of Maia, so let's just call it veteran herald showing the new baby the ropes.

In ancient Greek religion and mythology, Iris is a daughter of the gods Thaumas and Electra, the personification of the rainbow and messenger of the gods, a servant to the Olympians and especially Queen Hera. Iris links the gods to humanity and was once described as being a link to the heavens and earth too. Amber was chosen because in Love From Outer Space, she acts as a link between Earth and the Stars.

in my heart of hearts mike wheeler is absolutely an athena kid but i also have to offer up a concept that i think has extreme comedic and dramatic potential aka: repressed gay teenager mike showing up at camp half blood unsure of who his godly parent is and feeling insecure about not having powers and one day when he’s making not-so-secret heart eyes at his best friend and son of apollo will byers is when a bunch of glowing floating hearts show up above his head. and that’s how mike gets claimed by none other than aphrodite, the goddess of love and sexuality, and is in full denial about it for three days because he thinks it’s some kind of sick and twisted JOKE

(on aphrodite’s end, she’s upset mike is throwing away the gift of true love and keeps trying to trick him out of repression by making more and more improbable and hilarious gifts appear when he and will are hanging out. mike hands will a book and it turns into a box of chocolates and he has to fling it away like a frisbee before will sees it. they’re having lunch and romantic music starts playing. she gives mike the same blessing she used to claim piper and will can’t even look in his direction for a full day because he starts blushing so hard. fifty bouquets of flowers show up at the apollo cabin’s doorstep with a note that says love, mike and by the end of it, mike isn’t even repressed and unsure about his sexuality anymore — he’s just trying to not throw himself into the bonfire out of sheer embarrassment)

It's really Agatha All Along....

Okay, anyone else think the members of Agatha's coven are representations of herself?

Jen represents her jaded side. The armor she's been forced to wear because of everything she's experienced. Her sharp tongue and wit borne out of a need to protect herself from everyone who believed her to be the incarnation of evil.

Lillia, possibly is the maternal side she's suppressed since losing Nicholas. The caring doting side of Agatha's she's spent years trying to forget because of whatever happened to her son.

Alice, the girl who loves her mother and seeks to understand her. The part of her who believes everything was her fault, that she is the curse.

Teen, the one who yearns for knowledge and seeks control of a situation that is beyond his understanding. If he is Wanda's son, then he could be wondering why and how he's where he is now, just like Agatha could be wondering what she deserved to be burdened with a power that guarantees she'll be alone.

Rio, the angry lover. The one who trusted and was betrayed by the one they loved all because of forces they could not control.

Also me: Okay, so from the village dialogue in chapter 8, we know that despite Grima being the main deity of worship, average plegians don't seem to like the Grimleal. Implying that the Grimleal are either weirdo fundies that no one really likes but they have an out sized influence on the government or Plegia is polytheistic and they worship gods related to their occupation and Grima is the god you worship if you're a dark mage or you want their blessing in war (god of destruction and all). Awakening characters do say Gods (plural) when they sware, meaning that multiple gods are consistent with Archneaian theology. Chrom’s father is stated to have labeled the Plegian people heathens likely because the Grimleal gained influence in whatever hierarchy rules Plegia. We know it's likely semi democratic because Gangrel supposedly worked his way up from being a street urchin to the position of king. Because it's stated to be a theocracy, it's likely similar to how catholics elected the pope via the collage of cardinals.
