We Will Find You ♡: US Marshals Find 200 Missing Children in Nationwide Operation

“Behind every statistic, there is a child who deserves to grow up safe from harm.”

The U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) found 200 missing children, including sex trafficking victims, abused children and runaways in a six-week nationwide operation, the Department of Justice announced July 1.

It was conducted in the District of Arizona, the Eastern District of California, the Southern District of Florida, the Western District of Michigan, the Eastern District of North Carolina, the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the District of Oregon.

“We are grateful that vulnerable children have been recovered as part of this operation, and we commend the U.S. Marshals Service and all the agencies involved for their commitment to protect youth and ensure these children are not forgotten.

Operation We Will Find You 2, the second such nationwide missing child operation, focused on geographical areas with large clusters of critically missing children, according to the DOJ.

One case in the Eastern District of North Carolina involved a one-year-old who was reported missing in Raleigh after the child��s mother failed to surrender her to the Department of Social Services, according to the release. The mother, who had been convicted of strangling her four-year-old son to death, was arrested and U.S. Marshals safely recovered the child.

I don't know if I'm just being a sensitive atheist but this line from the sound of Freedom that's been circulating around makes me uncomfortable.

"God's children are not for sale."

It makes me feel like an exception is being made for church-run slavery. They can just say they're acting in God's name and owning and ordering people around on his behalf.

I shouldn't be owned by traffickers and I shouldn't be owned by God. I should own myself.

It reminds me of the old definitions of rape which had nothing to do with consent and only had to do with the virginity being stolen and making daughters less valuable to the fathers who "owned" the daughters.

I feel like this framing is doing the same thing of changing what should be seen as a consent issue into just another ownership issue. The statement isn't opposing the idea of anyone other than yourself owning you. It just says someone else will always own you.

Does this mean my parents or church who are supposedly God's steward for me, can do whatever they want to me, other than selling me?

I went and saw Sound of Freedom in theaters with my sister last night, and it was beautifully done. I cried so much. It's such a tragedy, all these kids who are sold into sex trafficking. We need to protect them. God's children are not for sale.

Just left the theater from seeing Sound of Freedom

It’s an intense and emotional watch, which is to be expected given the subject matter, but I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

The film does a remarkable job of respecting the victims of human trafficking while not shying away from how traumatic their experiences are. At no point in the film do you ever see these children as anything other than that, children. There’s no lingering shots of their bodies, no indication that the audience is meant to find them tantalizing, and absolutely NO DEPICTIONS OF THEM DOING ANYTHING SEXUAL. Not once does this movie ever forget that these are children, or that they have been victimized by those who should know better. Any other studio, any other filmmaker, and the message would’ve been undermined by leaning into the exact kind of thing the movie is supposed to condemn.

You will feel uncomfortable and gross sometimes, but that’s the point, because what’s being done to millions of children and adults every year is disgusting and wrong and it needs to be stopped. You will cry, both for those who’ve escaped such horrible circumstances and those still trapped in them. You will even smile, as you see good people fight to do the right thing even when it’s hard, and see those who’ve been harmed escape their abusers to freedom.

If you have any love in your heart at all for children, I encourage you to see this movie and support those who fight to end human trafficking.

Watched Sound of Freedom yesterday on Prime. It is not what the mainstream media was screaming it was. No Q Anon conspiracy movie. Not simply made for the MAGA hat wearers. No, just a true story about a Homeland Security officer who couldn't handle all the horrible child sex trafficking he was witnessing. After rescuing one of the victims, he set off to find his sister, giving his job up to do. Tim Ballard is a hero. The people he worked with to find and rescue her, as well as 57 others, are heroes.

It is easy to dismiss this as a conspiracy. Easier than opening our eyes to the hell these babies are going through. It is much bigger than drug dealing. You can sell a bag of coke only once. A child you can sell ten times a day for years. A precious child, God's child!

We cannot close our eyes, cover our ears and pretend not to hear their cries. It doesn't matter if you vote R or D. If you are straight or gay, or something else. Christian or atheist. Everyone should be able to understand that this is the ultimate evil. Everyone should be a sickened and horrified about this as I am.

Let's do what we can: pray, support those fighting against it, call your elected officials, whatever it is, to stop this modern day slavery!

Bloomberg hit piece against ‘Sound of Freedom’ penned by pro-pedophile advocate

"The person who wrote this Bloomberg opinion piece is leftist activist Noah Berlatsky. He was the spokesperson for M.A.P. (minor-attracted person) advocacy group, Prostasia. In 2017, he tweeted that pedophiles are a stigmatized group who get designated as deviants for hateful purposes,” freelance journalist Andy Ngo wrote on Twitter.

Berlatsky was formerly the communications director for Prostasia, which bills itself as a “child protection organization that combines our zero tolerance of child sexual abuse with our commitment to human and civil rights and sex positivity.”

The website advertises a “support group for minor-attracted people (MAPs) who are fundamentally against child sexual abuse and committed to never harming children.” The site showcases some of Berlatsky’s work including an essay from 2021 titled, “Child trafficking narratives are misleading,” where he outrageously defended the “autonomy” of child prostitutes."
