⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠄⠄⠂⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁
October is a time of deep spiritual connection, transformation, and preparation for the darker months ahead. For witches, this month holds powerful energy as the veil between worlds becomes thinner, allowing for a deeper connection with spirits and their energies. During this time, we prepare for the colder season, readying ourselves for winter. The vibrations throughout the month are strong, making it the perfect time to practice our magic and align ourselves with the stillness of the approaching winter season.

According to legend, on this day, the Dagda, the father god, and the Morrigan, the "phantom queen," unite to ensure fertility for the land, people, and animals in the coming year. The Morrigan, often described as a goddess of war, begins the ritual as an old woman but is restored to youth and beauty through their union.)

🎃Honor your ancestors or loved ones who have passed away by creating a special altar or offering them gifts
🎃Read about the history of witches
🎃Collect pine cones or acorns
🎃Decorate your home to welcome the spooky vibe
🎃Try rune divination
🎃Connect with the elements of Water and Fire

🎃Experiment with new magical skills. You could try a new spell or explore different types of magic, like faerie or draconic magic
(Even though I wasn’t a huge fan of autumn before, this time of year—especially October—is when I feel the busiest, most inspired, and most connected to my craft. I’m especially excited to communicate with dragons! :D)

“d-daddy, daddy, you g-gotta slow down—!” you hiccup, voice stuttering with every quick thrust of kai’s hips. your leg is thrown over his shoulder, nearly folding you in half as he presses you against the bed. his plushies protect your head from hitting the headboard, their cuteness and innocence perverted when surrounded by your ruined face. eyes rolled back in your head, face screwed up in erotic pleasure; he fucks you dumb on his cock, your greedy, wet pussy squelching obscenely around him as you struggle to adjust to the stretch. the pleasure is overwhelming, his cock so deep inside of you it’s dizzying, as if he’s pushed past your cervix and was fucking your womb. his heavy balls clap loudly against your ass as his thrusts pick up speed,
“sh-shhh princess, it’s okay, daddy’s here, you can take it,” hyuka coos in a broken voice, drunk on the way your walls squeeze around him. he’s dead to your pleas, chasing after his own pleasure and release like an animal. his gropes your tits, his hands so big that your perky fat breasts are completely engulfed by his fingers.
the knot in your belly feels different, hotter than ever before, reaching a fever pitch you never thought possible. you wrap your shaking legs around him the best you can, grasp onto the arms that fondled your bouncing tits.
“daddy!” you sob, pawing desperately at his broad chest. “i’m gonna cum, you’re gonna make me c-cum—!”
“fuck.” kai grunts, sweat dripping from his perfect roman nose. “you gotta ask for it, remember pumpkin? be a good girl and say please.”
“oh my god, please!” you wail, “please let me cum, daddy, please! i wanna cum with you!”
“good girl, that’s my good girl, make a mess all over my cock— i want to cum inside of you so fucking bad,” hyuka whimpers, throwing his head back.
“no, daddy you can’t, you’re not wearing a condom—!”
and you’re not on the pill either. but the risk gives him a rush, makes him ache to pump a load deep inside your pussy. his thrusts grow erratic, a clear sign that he’s about to cum.
“daddy, pull out!”
kai does it just in time, thick hot ropes of cum spraying across your thighs and tummy. his thick veiny shaft slides against your engorged clit, just the stimulation needed to cum yourself. you squirt all over kai’s belly and pelvis, the force of your orgasm so strong it knocks the wind out of you.
“… oh my god, did you just squirt?” hyuka crows, eyes sparkling at the way your spent pussy throbs from the aftershocks. “i made you do that? that’s so fucking hot, can you do it again?”

The Harvest Moon is the full Moon that occurs nearest to the autumnal equinox date (September 22, 2024). This means that either September or October’s full Moon may take on the name “Harvest Moon” instead of its traditional name. Similarly, the Hunter’s Moon is the first full Moon to follow the Harvest Moon, meaning it can occur in either October or November.
The Harvest Moon & the Hunter’s Moon are unique in that they are not directly related to this folklore or restricted to a single month. Instead, they are tied to an astronomical event: the autumnal equinox!
• October’s full Hunter Moon orbits closer to Earth than any of the other full Moons this year, making one of the four supermoons of 2024! As the Moon drifts over the horizon around sunset, it may appear larger & more orange—how perfect for the fall season!
It is believed that this name originates from the fact that it was a signal for hunters to prepare for the upcoming cold winter by going hunting. This is because animals were beginning to fatten up in preparation for the winter season. Moreover, since fields had recently been cleared out under the Harvest Moon, hunters could easily spot deer & other animals that had come out to search for remaining scraps. Additionally, foxes & wolves would also come out to prey on these animals.

Samhain is about halfway between the autumnal equinox & winter solstice. It is one of the four Gaelic seasonal festivals along with Imbolc, Beltane, & Lughnasa. Historically it was widely observed throughout Ireland, Scotland, & the Isle of Man.
Samhain is believed to have Celtic pagan origins & some Neolithic passage tombs in Great Britain & Ireland are aligned with the sunrise at the time of Samhain. It is mentioned in the earliest Irish literature, from the 9th century & is associated with many important events in Irish mythology.
The early literature says great gatherings & feasts marked Samhain when the ancient burial mounds were open, which were seen as portals to the Otherworld. Some of the literature also associates Samhain with bonfires & sacrifices.
• According to Irish mythology, Samhain (like Beltane) was a time when the 'doorways' to the Otherworld opened, allowing supernatural beings and the souls of the dead to come into our world; while Beltane was a summer festival for the living, Samhain "was essentially a festival for the dead".
•The festival was not recorded in detail until the early modern era. It was when cattle were brought down from the summer pastures & livestock were slaughtered. Special bonfires were lit, which were deemed to have protective & cleansing powers.
At Samhain, the aos sí were appeased with offerings of food & drink to ensure the people & livestock survived the winter. The souls of dead kin were also thought to revisit their homes seeking hospitality & a place was set at the table for them during a meal. Divination was also a big part of the festival & often involved nuts & apples.
Mumming & guising were part of the festival from at least the early modern era, whereby people went door-to-door in costume, reciting verses in exchange for food. The costumes may have been a way of imitating & disguising oneself from the aos sí.
• In the late 19th century, John Rhys and James Frazer suggested it had been the "Celtic New Year", but that is disputed.
Some believe it is the time of The Goddess' mourning the death of The God until his rebirth at Yule. The Goddess' sadness can be seen in the shortening, darkening days & the arrival or cold weather.
Related festivals:
• Halloween( October 31st)-
In popular culture, the day has become a celebration of horror, being associated with the macabre and supernatural.
•One theory holds that many Halloween traditions were influenced by Celtic harvest festivals, particularly the Gaelic festival Samhain, which are believed to have pagan roots. Some go further & suggest that Samhain may have been Christianized as All Hallow's Day, along with its eve, by the early Church. Other academics believe Halloween began solely as a Christian holiday, being the vigil of All Hallow's Day.
Popular Halloween activities include trick-or-treating (or the related guising & ghouling), attending Halloween costume parties, carving pumpkins or turnips into jack-o'-lanterns, lighting bonfires, apple bobbing, divination games, playing pranks, visiting haunted attractions, telling scary stories, & watching horror or Halloween-themed films
• Day of the Dead(November 1st-2nd)-
el Día de Muertos or el Día de los Muertos
The multi-day holiday involves family & friends gathering to pay respects & to remember friends & family members who have died. These celebrations can take a humorous tone, as celebrants remember amusing events & anecdotes about the departed. It is widely observed in Mexico, where it largely developed, and is also observed in other places, especially by people of Mexican heritage.
•The observance falls during the Christian period of Allhallowtide.
Traditions connected with the holiday include honoring the deceased using calaveras & marigold flowers known as cempazúchitl, building home altars called ofrendas with the favorite foods & beverages of the departed & visiting graves with these items as gifts for the deceased.
The celebration is not solely focused on the dead, as it is also common to give gifts to friends such as candy sugar skulls, to share traditional pan de muerto with family & friends, & to write light-hearted & often irreverent verses in the form of mock epitaphs dedicated to living friends & acquaintances, a literary form known as calaveras literarias.
Some argue that there are Indigenous Mexican or ancient Aztec influences that account for the custom & it has become a way to remember those forebears of Mexican culture.
• All Saint's Day(November 1st)-
Also known as All Hallows' Day or the Feast of All Saints is a Christian solemnity celebrated in honour of all the saints of the Church, whether they are known or unknown.

cw TKaTB spoilers, theory, mention of guillotine, amnesia memories spoilers
TKATB and its characters belong to @fantasia-kitt !!
TKATB IS RATED +18. MINORS DONT INTERACT
Was about to post a theory about how sol could have been reincarnated to meet pumpkin again in a different timeline bc they werent allowed to be together in their own timeline, the bruise on his neck being an indication of being guillotined AND him giving purple tullips (sign of royalty and elegance) to pumpkin on valentine's, feeling insecure about his lunch (saying it isnt "extravagant" enough for pumpkin) and somehow using pardon me instead of excuse me (he doesnt usually use this type of elegant language i think. could be just me) kinda seems like we were royalty before? I mean, crowe mentioning marie antoinette and the game giving us many options for the question seems sussy to me. Why does MY opinion on the queen matter this much to both crowe and sol since their love meters go crazy with the answers? speaking of historical figures, i cant be the only one thinking sol WAS the "executioner". maybe that could be it. he was "the executioner" and we were a part of the royalty: swimming in money, expensive alcohol and the sweat of the peasants; and sol being one of them. Maybe we didnt even know who he was but him being a delusional yandere, he thought we were inseperable lovers. maybe that was why he was drawing someone in peasant clothes. He was just drawing his past life, could be the day he first saw us or the day he lost us. anything to support my theory? what inspired the game, ofc :D i was stalking fantasia's socials when i saw the game was was inspired by 3 gamea, one being Amnesia Memories (IM A HUGE FAN OF THAT SHIT). if you didnt know, amnesia memories is about a girl waking up with lost memories, trying to remember things. but bc it is an otome, she has a partner in every world she wakes up in. so if she fails to recollect her memories, she ends up in a different universe with a different partner. the relevance between tkatb and amnesia? in amnesia the final LI can also switch between different universes. he loses the mc in a fire and cant live without her. So a god helps him go to a different universe to be with her again. But everytime he goes to a universe, the world either kills the mc or him somehow. Following with pumpkin being royalty and sol not being able to live with us, what if after our death; he went to a different universe where we are classmates (equal parties!!) and now the entire purpose of his existence being, well, being with us forever?
But yknow. I decided not to post it since pretty much everyone already thinks this way! its probably what fantasia WANTS us to think to bamboozle us in the end, right? :3
P.S. not to mention his hatred for the rich. the rich and their stupid rules were the things that stopped him from being with us! but what if hyugo ALSO has switched universes along with him for his own reasons? Could this be the deal between the two, and the reason why hyugo wont allow sol to just die like that?

Cooper Adams x Fem!Reader
PART(2/5)
He was peculiarly clean— too clean to be at a hardware store past midnight. No dirt on his jeans, or janitor's name patch, or construction vest. He smelt like most men— Irish spring, sandalwood, musk, bergamot, etc. In daylight hours, you wouldn't have thought anything about his tight and fawning smile, the gallon of industrial cleaning solution, and the seven yards of vinyl tarp he slides across the counter at the end of the month. He always smiles when he pays. You smile back despite your intuition advising against it. Something about the interaction feels cold. God, you sound like your fucking father.
OR
You work the graveyard shift at a hardware store with extended hours to put you through pre-med. You meet a DILF who is definitely not The Butcher.
A pack of deer used to linger in your backyard, towards the thicket of rural Pennsylvania forest behind your childhood home. The biggest of them, a buck with massive velvety antlers and black glossy eyes, was the least afraid of you. You left a paper plate of goldfish and a pail of water out for him every afternoon, hoping that one day he’d trust you enough to eat from your palm. After weeks of looking after the wild animal, he began to inch closer and closer to you. You could make out the finer details; white eyelashes, wet snout, twitching ears. The last time you saw him was the day your father caught you with an outstretched palm full of crackers. The sound of your name cracking through the air like a whip was enough to send the startled animal back towards the brush.
“Do you have any idea how dangerous those things are?! What kind of diseases they carry?! Warts, ticks, plague, mad cow disease-”
“But they’re deer, Daddy. Not cows.”
“-And quit fuckin’ feedin’ it! You keep feedin’ it like that and he’ll come back and stick those antlers right through your chest once you stop givin’ him food. You’ll be sorry you ever gave that beast any attention! You understand?”
“Yes, Daddy.”
“Good girl. Come play in the front yard where I can see you.”
It wasn’t long until he began to suspect that somewhere, behind the dense line of trees, the deer was watching the two of you, waiting to spear his mighty antlers through your thin chests.
In the span of a couple of months, the lush green trees had soured to a dull brown, thick summer air had turned thin, and you learned a lot more about Cooper Adams than necessary. His supply runs became more frequent, and with every purchase came a morsel of information about his homely little life that you never asked for. He works graveyard hours at the firehouse Monday through Saturday, his wife hates it, and he’s building her a gardening shed to get on her good side. Above all else, Cooper Adams was fucking bored- so bored that your one-minute interactions stretched into five and eventually ten.
He played football in college. His favorite band is Smashing Pumpkins. He takes his coffee black. He divulged details freely and without hesitation. The itch in the back of your mind wondered how much of it was true.
It didn’t matter though. Your skepticism shriveled up every time he came walking in a quarter past 1am; nonchalant, neighborly, and hot. His purchases stay consistent. Tarp, staples, cleaner, light bulbs, and sometimes nails. He sets it down on the counter with a smile.
“You again?” He cocks his head playfully.
“In the flesh.”
“Anything exciting happening tonight?”
“Nope. You?”
“Depends on how exciting you think paperwork is. I’m only fighting fires five percent of the time. The other ninety-five percent is paperwork and cats stuck in trees.” Cooper puts his big hands flat on the counter and leans forward, his wedding band clinking against the wood. You meet his gaze, the crinkle of his crow’s feet reminding you of his age.
Your father’s mental instability held you back in more ways than one. You put off school to take care of him in his last years, you didn’t get out much, let alone have time to date. Despite your inexperience, you couldn’t shake the feeling that Cooper Adams– a man with a wife, kids, and a mortgage– was lightly flirting with you. Even worse- you didn’t hate it. It was a relief to be spoken to like a friendly acquaintance and not like the girl who grew up in the hoarder house at the dead end of Bleaker Ave. The girl whose dad sealed up his CO2 detectors and cranked his gas stove because his sickness convinced him it was the only way to prevent the government from reading his mind.
Cooper didn’t seem to be aware of the rot in you that others could sense. If he was, he didn’t care.
“Yeah, well I’m sure your kids still think you’re a saint. Your wife too.” You assure him. He pauses, holding you prisoner with eye contact. An earnest smile slowly creeps on his face.
“Thank you. That’s a very sweet thing to say.”
Your face felt hot all of a sudden. You take the opportunity to scan his items, but it doesn’t stop him from continuing the conversation.
“Pre-med, huh?” He nods to your textbook amongst the pile of your stuff on the back counter. “Smart girl. Don’t tell me– Pediatrics? Family medicine? Am I close?”
3 months of acquaintanceship and you never once revealed anything overtly personal to Cooper. Your father ingrained rigid rules for interacting with strangers; No last names, no addresses, no phone numbers, and everyone has bad intentions until proven otherwise. He fishes his wallet out of his back pocket, flipping it open to hand you his card. You catch a glimpse of the picture of his kids, and before you can pay mind to your own paranoia, you’re answering him.
“Psychiatry, actually. I want to be a psychiatrist.”
“Shit. Wow. That’s…That’s awesome. I wouldn’t have guessed-”
You cut him off, the words coming up like vomit.
“My dad, uh, he struggled a lot. I took care of him until the end, so It kinda felt right, Y’know?”
Feeling relieved, nauseous, and stupid, you quickly run his card. The printer loudly spits out the receipt. You try to pin down what possessed you to overshare so willingly, but come to no conclusion. Maybe it was his face, soft eyes, and a masculine jaw. The disarming affectation of a competent father, someone trustworthy and inherently good. Or was he truly all those things? You slide his receipt and card towards him, eyes darting around awkwardly, desperate to avoid direct contact.
“Sorry. That might have been too much too soon.” Suddenly, warmth envelopes your fingers. You look down to see Cooper’s hand over yours, and then up to see a softened expression.
“I went through something similar with my mother. You don’t have to be sorry.” He says quietly, offering a reassuring nod. When he slides his receipt and card out from under your hand, you release a breath you didn’t realize you were holding. “It takes a certain kind of person to choose to be a solution to a problem they’ve been victimized by. The world needs more people like you.”
A couple of months ago, you were sure Cooper’s smile didn’t reach his eyes. Now, thought you could see something lurking behind them– you weren’t sure what, but it made your pulse thrum uncomfortably against your neck.
“But sure, I’m the saint for saving cats from trees and building my wife a shed so she doesn’t hate me. That checks out.” He chuckles, shaking his head incredulously. You stand there watching him throw his purchases back into the cart, blindsided by the sincerity of the fleeting moment.
“You stay safe, alright? Don’t talk to too many strangers.” He points to you with a half-serious look, snapping you out of your daze.
“Same goes for you.”
He stops halfway out the automatic doors to mutter a curse under his breath, rummaging through his windbreaker pocket to retrieve something.
“Almost forgot, I got you a little something- Think Fast!” He tosses it to you, and you reflexively catch it.
You huff out a shocked laugh when you realize it’s a small container of mace.
“Cooper, you can’t be fucking serious.” You look up to see his satisfied smile.
“Afraid I am. Sorry, but it freaks me out that you’re still here by yourself so late when there’s a maniac on the loose out there. It’s the dad in me.” He shrugs.
You don't watch the news often, but the mention of a maniac rings a bell. You've heard whispers of scattered remains around campus and seen a headline or two.
“What are they calling him now?”
“The Butcher.”
You scoff, ignoring the fear pooling in your stomach.
“Oh, lovely. This will totally stop him from butchering me. Thanks.”
He gives you a wink and a thumbs-up before disappearing into the parking lot. You stare at the small blue container of mace in your palm, realizing there's something written in permanent marker on the side.

The Chain + TP! Reader (3/?)
< Part 2
Plot : You are Twilight's childhood best friend, who like Twilight can turn into an animal, that is a crow. You just happen to follow Twilight into the portal in your crow form and meet the Chain.
( Fem Reader )
Note : (Y/n) and Twilight are a couple in this fic. Also, apologise that I couldn't include all Links in the conversation but they're there listening.
-----------
"(Y/n)?!" you stand there awkwardly, Link or Twilight stated in shock. "Did you follow me all the way here?!" he asks, you give him a nod as you avert your gaze 'Sorry....' you said. "Oh Hylia...." Twilight sighs as he rubs his temple. The other Links witness the scene unfold as they watch their brother talk to a crow.
"Is it yours, Rancher?" questioned Legend. Twilight takes a deep breath, "Yeah, she's mine" he said as he walks over to you and holds out his hand for you to perch on. You step up his hand as he caresses your head and giving a little scratch on your cheek.
You let out a small coo as you lean into his touch. "You and...." Sky trail as Twilight turns to him, "(Y/n), that's her name" he said. "(Y/n), that's a pretty name. Aw, looking at this reminds me of Crimson and I" Sky said as he smiles at the thought of his own bird companion.
"She has been with me for the longest time" Twilight said, his lips curls up into a smile. "She's my friend" he said, 'and my lover...' he thought lovingly.
"So, it seems we got a new addition in the team huh" chirps Wind, Four and Hyrule smiles. "Well, a friend of Twilight is a friend of ours" Hyrule said. "I wonder how Wolfie will react to this" grin Wild. "I heard that Wolves and Crows have symbiotic relationships! I think they will get along well!" Four chimed.
'Too well...' you and Twilight thought at the same time. "Can't wait for Wolfie to come back" Wind said. A wind blows to your face which causes you to squawk in surprise. You turn your head around to see Epona close to you, 'Epona, you scared me!' you said. Epona snorts and neighs, licking you gently to apologise.
Guess she's happy to see you here. You climb on to Epona's head as you crows, 'It's okay, just don't do that again' you said. "You're happy too huh, girl" Twilight said as he rubs Epona's neck.
.
.
Later that night, Twilight got the first shift. You're still perched on his shoulder as Twilight sits at the edge of the camp so he can talk to you.
"So is this why you didn't want me to come along. They're good people, why didn't you introduce them sooner?" you questioned him, Twilight sigh. "It's not like that..." he said. "It's just, our mission is....much more dangerous and I... don't want you to get hurt...." he said. Twilight was disappointed when you followed him to the portal, but he can't really blame you for it since he wasn't truthful. It would be different if he was honest with you and you would have stayed back in Ordon. He can't really do anything now and has to keep you close to him.
Once the portal to his world opens up, he will send you back home where you are safe from danger, away from evil. Away from Shadow....
"I have a question, Link" you speak up gaining his attention, "What is it, pumpkin?". "Did they really call you Wolfie when you were a wolf?" you asked with a smug look on your face. Twilight raises an eyebrow before letting out a chuckle, "Haha, ah yes they did. They didn't even come up with a better name for me. Dumb isn't?" he said.
"I like Wolfie. It sounds cute" you chirped. Twilight smiles as he pecks at your beak, "Hmm, you're cuter than me, love" he said which causes you to blush. You couldn't help but cover your face with your wing, god why he so romantic?
"Anyways, (N/n). Did you told dad before leaving?" Link questioned, which makes you gasp. "Oh, no! I forgot!" you said, you forgot to tell your parents about leaving to join Link. You didn't even leave a note! They're going to be worried. "Calm down, love. I'm sure your dad understands. I'm sure he knows where you are right now" Twilight said. "Besides, he trusts me to take care of you. He's my teacher after all" he continues.
Twilight notices that his shift is almost over and Four will take over the next shift. He stands up and stretches his limbs, "Time to go to bed" he said. He walks over to the campfire and Four is already awake, ready to take the next shift. "See anything?" Four questioned the rancher, Twilight shakes his head "There's nothing unusual as for now" he said, Four nods as he stands up "Well, I'm gonna stretch my limbs for a bit" he said. "Good night, Twi, (Y/n)" he waves as he takes a few steps away from the camp. He lets you down on the log as he takes off some of his equipment and leaves him only in his tunic.
He doesn't really want to risk taking it all since everyone is out in the wilderness and enemies could attack at any moment, so it's better to leave some on. Twilight lies down on his bed roll as you snuggle yourself on his chest, his hand gently set on your back.
"Goodnight...." he whispers as you reply back, "Hm....goodnight...." you mumbled before dozing off.

You hear a clicking sound, which wakes you up. You open your eyes groggily and let's put a yawn, your feathers puff up doing so as you cuddle deeper in the warmth of Twilight's tunic. It was so warm that it made you doze off again....
Click!

There it is again.
You snap your eyes open to see Wild holding a slate in his hands, he's smiling and giggling to himself. 'What's up with him?' you thought
Click!
The slate lets out a clicking sound, what is that thing?
"Good morning, (Y/n)" Wild said with a smile, the sun is rising and the first one to wake up was Wild, Legend and Time. You stretch your wings and look down on Twilight, he is still sleeping. He usually wakes up before the sun is up. You were slightly surprised that he hasn't woken up yet, "Rancher went back to sleep since he doesn't want to wake you up" Wild said.
You notice that Wild is cooking breakfast, what is he making? You hop onto the log to see what he's cooking. Seems like scrambled eggs and toast?
"Curious are we? I'm making scrambled eggs and toast for breakfast, want a taste?" he said holding out a small portion for you to taste. "It tastes a little bland since I'm running out of herbs" he said.
You smile, 'Heh, herbs you say? Well, I got you covered!' you thought. You spread your wings and fly away, carrying your bag with you. It makes Wild sadden a little bit when you fly away. This causes Legend snorts, "Oh wow, seems the crow hates it" he said as Wild sends a glare at the veteran.
Finding herbs wasn't that hard for you, you managed to pick a beak full of fresh herbs like basil, rosemary, thyme, chives— you name it. You also found a couple of rupees along the way and stuff them in your bag.
When you return to the camp, everyone is already awake and ready to have their breakfast. You land on the log and crows at Wild, the man turns around to see you're back with something in your beak.
"Are those herbs? Did you pick them for me?" he pointed out. You nod, puffing out your chest in pride, Wild smiles "Thank you, (Y/n)" he said, taking the herbs from you. He looks through them and Hyrule leans in, "Oh hey, there's medicinal herbs here too" he said, picking up a herb.
"Did you teach her, Twilight?" Questioned Hyrule to Twilight, the blonde blinks "Ah, not really. She learned it by herself—" he said. "By herself? That's amazing!" Hyrule smiles, he was impressed that a crow learned about herbs all by itself when you were actually taught by your dad, Rusl. "Yeah, it's amazing that a crow learns about herbs. Is it possible for me to teach it to Crimson?" Sky hummed.
Receiving praises makes you feel pleased and happy, slightly bashful. Maybe you should do this more often?
"I wonder what else she can do?" Legend smirks, putting a hand on his hips. "Does she bring back shiny stuff? Like gold?" he questioned. 'Gold?! Where?!' you squawked, looking left and right. This causes Twilight to look away and scratch his cheek, "I think it's better not to mention gold around her" he chuckles nervously.

II: GOLD STRUCK
The wagon wheels were obviously wobbly, the axles needing immediate tightening, not that anyone would care to repair them, though. The rainy season was in full effect, and the roads were the sky’s first victim. A dog chased after a squirrel, it’s barking annoying the merchant nearby. He cursed the dog and his bloodline.
“To hell with Linkon! To hell with this damned town!” His broom thwacked at the wood sign on his stall. “When I catch you, you damned dog, why, you’ll be roasted with your litter!”
“Oh Mr. Heggins, relax! It’s just a dog!” “Just a dog? Why you- you let him out, didn’t you, Caleb? I should get you fired from the mines for this!”
Caleb laughed, crow's feet forming by his eyes as he smiled big. His hands held orchids. He had picked them from his mother's garden earlier that morning, meticulously picking the best ones without her knowing. In his pocket, a small box rested.
Mr. Heggins eyes note the flowers and the small lump in his pocket.
“Today's the day, eh?”
Caleb nodded, his cheeks tinging with red.
“Yes, sir. I plan to ask tonight.”
“Ah, before the king's carriages come? Bad timing, no?”
“No, sir.”
It's quiet for a moment before the old man speaks up.
“And out of everyone you could have, you chose the L/n's daughter.” He lets out a pitiful chuckle. “I won't question it, but to each their own.”
As the old man walked off, Caleb hummed, his hand going to his pocket, patting it affectionately as he walked on through the streets.
He grabbed some pumpkin bread, the honey, and roasted almonds on it making it smell heavenly.
He collected some gifts. A doll, a kite, perfumes, and a watch.
And then he headed off towards Linkon's hill village.
*** Hot water splashed onto the weathered wood floorboards, the basin full to the brim. Sprigs of lavender, rosemary, and orange slices floated on the water, and Mrs. L/n poured fresh milk into the tub.
“Is this really necessary?” Y/n huffed, crossing her arms over her chest. “I’m not getting in there- I won’t even be selected.” “Yes, you are. And I’m tired of you not listening to me.” “Mother- owowowowowowow!”
The older woman grabbed her ear, pinching it lightly as she pulled her daughter towards the tub. Y/n held onto the wall, protesting. “I’m not going in there you; put milk in there! It’ll feel weird!” “Take the damn bath, child! Eva! Call your sisters and come here!”
“Coming, Mother!”
In moments, Y/n’s sisters came into the room. Eva smiled cheekily. “Today’s the day~!” “Like hell it is.” She shot back, wriggling in her mother’s grip. “You all act like you want me to get picked! Does Gran even know what you’re doing? Ma?” Her mother looked away, her hands going to the clasp on the back of Y/n’s dress. She undid it quickly, and the fabric pooled at her feet, ignoring her question.
“Strip out of your garments- Gods, you reek- is this wool? Y/n! You messed with the sheep again!” “I did not! I was with the ram- hey!” She placed her hand on the back of her head, the sting from her mother’s popping strong.
Lucy laughed, her chubby hands taking the stripped clothes to the wash.
“You’ve all gone mad. I hope you know that.” It comes out as a grumble, but she goes into the tub. But as soon as she stepped in, she complained. “The water’s freezing!” “That’s what you get for talking so long.” Her mother quipped. Her face sours as an orange slice touches her knee.
Raising her leg, Eva takes it, scrubbing it down as her mother starts to work on her hair. She hisses, her scalp tender as it gets scrubbed as well.
“The weather is lovely, isn’t it?” “Just dandy.”
“What time is it?” “Half after 12, mother.” “Lord! We need to hurry then.” “Did you always have such a strawberry complexion, sister?” Y/n kicks water at her sister. “Quiet, you-”
She’s interrupted by her mother pouring a bucket of water over her head. Her hair gets thrown in her face, and she swallows some soapy, milky water, sputtering and coughing.
“Both of you, quiet. I’ll be damned if our good name is tarnished because you both decide to act like Neanderthals.
Y/n coughed out some more water. “I think calling me a Neanderthal isn’t fair- but Eva on the other hand- Oh my fucki- can you stop getting soap in my eyes?!”
“Language!”
***
Y/n shivers as she steps out of the basin, her arms crossed, knees turned, and locked.
Some of the rosemary was tangled in her hair, but she paid it no mind.
Wrapping a towel around her body, Eva grabbed a comb, getting to work on untangling the knots and rosemary in her hair.
“This is ridiculous.”
“You would still get picked if you were covered in cow shit, so cease your bitching,” her mother shot back, not missing a beat as she scrubbed her daughter’s hair with renewed vigor.
Y/n's mouth dropped open, and she groaned. “You’re impossible!”
But her mother only raised an eyebrow. “And yet, here you are, complaining like always.”
Lucy waddled into the room, her small arms bundled up with a light blue chemise gown, the fabric soft and worn from years of storage. The short sleeves were cuffed, and though the dress had once been elegant, it was now out of date- the gaudy stitching showing the era it was from. Y/n’s eyes widened in horror as she realized what Lucy was holding.
“You can’t seriously expect me to—” Y/n began, her voice rising in protest.
But before she could finish, her mother yanked the towel off her body with practiced efficiency. “Of course not,” Mrs. L/n replied, her tone calm and unwavering. “Not until you’ve been plucked.”
Eva stepped forward, smirking as she handed her mother a razor, her grin mischievous. Y/n stared at it, her lips parting in disbelief. “Oh, come on...”
Mrs. L/n motioned for the sisters to leave. Eva, Lucy, and the others filed out, whispering and giggling amongst themselves as they shut the door behind them, leaving the room unusually still. The bright daylight streaming through the window seemed too cheerful for what was about to happen.
Y/n sighed heavily and sat on the small stool, arms wrapped around herself in half-hearted defiance. Her mother wordlessly knelt beside her, taking the razor and beginning the task of smoothing over her skin with slow, deliberate strokes.
For a few moments, the only sound in the room was the quiet scrape of the blade against her skin, the soft splash of water, and the occasional sigh from Y/n. It was a silence filled with things left unsaid, the weight of what was coming pressing on both of them.
Y/n looked down at her hands, picking at a loose thread on the towel. "I still don't think this is going to work. They'll want someone else," she murmured, not meeting her mother's eyes.
Her mother didn't respond immediately, her hands steady as she worked. Finally, she spoke, her voice softer than before. "It’s not about what they want, Y/n. It’s about what you’re worth. Remember, the better you do, the better we all do."
“Why do you want me to get picked so badly?” Y/n asked quietly, her voice trembling despite her attempts to sound nonchalant. “You know I’ll mess up.”
Mrs. L/n paused mid-stroke, her hands hovering for a moment before continuing, the razor gently gliding over her daughter's skin. She didn't meet Y/n’s gaze, but her words were firm.
“I don’t want you to go. What gave you that idea?”
Y/n blinked, caught off guard by the blunt response. Her throat tightened, but she said nothing, the silence suddenly heavy between them.
Her mother’s eyes were fixed on her task, but the strain in her voice betrayed her emotions. “You think I want to see you paraded around like livestock? Gods know I don’t.” She set the razor aside for a moment, finally looking up at Y/n. “But if you’re chosen… at least you’ll be safe.”
Y/n swallowed hard, not knowing what to say. For once, she had no sharp retort.
"...They'll smell the farm on me," Y/n tried to joke, a small smirk tugging at her lips. "And it's not like the town doesn't have a reputation for me."
Mrs. L/n froze, her brow furrowing before she snapped, "Y/n M/n L/n. You will stop talking this instant!" She threw her hands up in exasperation, the razor clattering against the basin. “Ugh, by the Gods, you will jinx yourself, and no amount of rosemary will be able to fix it!”
Y/n bit her lip, stifling a laugh despite the tension in the air. She knew her mother meant well, but the whole situation still felt so surreal—so out of place for someone like her.
There was a knock on the door. Y/n's head snapped toward it, her brows knitting in confusion. Her father’s voice called through the wooden frame, calm and warm as always.
“The boy is here, my loves.”
Y/n frowned. "Caleb? What’s he doing here?"
Mrs. L/n didn’t answer, her focus entirely on finishing the task at hand. She ignored Y/n’s questioning gaze and continued to move the razor carefully, finishing her legs before working up to her cunt.
"Never mind that," her mother finally said, her tone clipped. "We need to finish."
She turned toward the door, calling out in her usual brisk, commanding voice, “There’s a roast in the oven! Check it for me, please!”
“Aye, I will,” her father replied, the sound of his footsteps retreating down the hall.
Y/n slouched slightly on the stool, still puzzled. “He does know today is the collection, right?” Y/n asked, a hint of uncertainty creeping into her voice.
“Perhaps he’s wishing to bid you good luck. But it will have to wait,” her mother replied, still focused on her work.
“Oh.”
Y/n sighed, the thought lingering in her mind. It made sense enough. They had talked about their plans—what they would do if she didn’t get picked. Caleb would take his father’s horse, and they’d ride out of Linkon together. A smile tugged at her lips as she recalled the silly memory of him telling her the same thing every year.
But she hadn’t seen him lately; he was always busy with family matters, tending to the farm, or preparing for whatever life awaited him.
Once Y/n was dressed, she stood stiffly, adjusting the light blue gown that felt foreign against her skin. “I can feel every stitch, Mama.”
“It’s because your skin’s bare. It’s a good feeling. A good thing,” her mother replied, a hint of pride in her voice.
“I’ll get cold easier.”
“Oh please. You weren’t even furry,” her mother teased.
Y/n let out an unexpected laugh, the tension breaking for just a moment. But then the door swung open, and her father stepped in, whistling a cheerful tune.
“There she is. My darlings!” He kissed his wife and then pressed a warm kiss to Y/n’s cheek. He pauses. “You smell like the farm.”
Y/n shot a look at her mother. “Told you so.”
“He's messing with you,” her mother said, rolling her eyes.
Just then, Caleb ducked his head under the doorframe, a bright smile on his face. “Good evening, Mrs. L/n. I’ve brought gifts.”
“Gifts? You shouldnt have!” her mother exclaimed, a warm smile spreading across her face.
“I wanted to,” Caleb said, his tone sincere.
“Oh, you sweet boy. Come, let’s go talk.” Mrs. L/n took Caleb’s hand, pulling him out of the washroom.
As their eyes met, Caleb’s purple gaze sparkled with a kind of mischief that made Y/n’s heart race. She felt her cheeks heat up but managed to wave, a shy smile breaking through her earlier worries.
Once they left, Y/n found herself alone with her father in the warm, sunlit room. The air was thick with the lingering scents of lavender and rosemary, remnants of her mother’s frantic preparations. Mr. L/n glanced out the door, ensuring it was securely closed before turning to face her, his expression suddenly serious.
“Are you nervous, child?” he asked, his voice low and steady, a contrast to the bustling energy that had just filled the space.
“Nervous?” Y/n echoed, furrowing her brow in confusion. “About today?”
“Hm... no, can’t say I am.” She crossed her arms, trying to project confidence, but the truth was a tangle of emotions lay beneath her surface.
He studied her for a moment, the lines on his face deepening with concern. “You’re a horrible liar. That’s my fault. Should have taught you better.”
“Papa—”
“Listen. You’re no fool. You’ve got a good head on you,” he said, placing a hand on his chin, his thumb tracing the stubble there as he exhaled slowly, the weight of his thoughts pressing down like a storm cloud.
Y/n felt a knot tighten in her stomach, her heart racing as he continued. “That boy is going to propose. And you need to accept.”
Her eyes widened in shock, disbelief flashing across her face. “Huh?”
“That's how you don’t get picked,” he insisted, his tone firm yet gentle, as if trying to shield her from the harsh realities of their world.
“But—”
“Listen to me, child. You need to accept—today. Before it’s too late. Once you’re engaged, they can’t collect you.”
“To Caleb?” she asked, her voice trembling with a mix of hope and uncertainty. The idea danced in her mind like a flickering flame, both enticing and frightening. Would it truly save her?
“Yes!” he affirmed, leaning closer, his eyes locking onto hers with a fervent intensity. “You think we have luck when it comes to this sort of thing? We don’t,” Mr. L/n continued, his voice lowering even further as he leaned closer. “We should have married you to him months ago, but there was never an opportunity. We have the papers. You just need to have some witnesses—”
“You cheated the system?!” Y/n whisper-yelled, her eyes wide with a mix of disbelief and indignation.
“Of course I did!” he replied, a hint of pride breaking through his urgency. “I did it to protect you. You have no idea what they do to the girls they collect. We have to outsmart them.”
“I can’t marry Caleb! Are you crazy? I don’t even want to get married—” Y/n protested, her voice rising in disbelief.
“This isn’t about what you want! You love the boy; he loves you!” Mr. L/n countered, his frustration simmering beneath the surface.
“Yeah, but—” she started, her mind racing as she tried to find the right words.
“Listen to me,” he urged, his voice softening as he stepped closer. “This is about survival. The kingdom doesn’t care about your dreams or desires; they only see you as another name on a list. But if you’re engaged, they can’t touch you.”
Y/n took a deep breath, the reality of her situation weighing heavily on her chest. “What if Caleb doesn’t want this? What if he thinks I’m just using him?”
“Caleb knows—he's been helping orchestrate this!” Mr. L/n interjected, a mix of urgency and relief washing over him.
Y/n’s eyes widened in disbelief. “What do you mean he knows? How could you—?”
“I spoke to him. He understands the situation, Y/n. He’s been looking out for you, and he wants to keep you safe.” Her father’s voice softened, but the intensity of his words remained.
“Caleb is in on this?” she asked, her mind racing. The idea that Caleb had been part of this plan, that he had considered her fate alongside his own, sent her heart racing.
“Yes! He cares for you deeply, and he’s willing to do whatever it takes to protect you,” Mr. L/n explained, a hint of pride- and something else- in his voice.
She closed her eyes for a moment, envisioning Caleb’s kind smile and the playful banter they shared. Could he really be ready for something so serious? The thought of it both terrified and thrilled her.
***
Caleb sat in the dingy dining room of the L/n household, his hand absently resting in his pocket. The scent of roasted meat wafted through the air, mingling with the musty smell of the worn furniture. Truthfully, the L/n farmland was rich and fruitful, bursting with potential, but the home itself felt shabby and neglected.
“Once we’re married, I can fix this place up…” he mumbled to himself, envisioning the changes he could make. The walls painted fresh, new furniture, perhaps even a small garden where Y/n could grow flowers. His heart swelled at the thought.
In the corner of the room, her sisters and mother were clustered together, giggling and gushing over the gifts he had brought—colorful ribbons, handmade trinkets, and sweets. Their excitement filled the air, but Caleb was lost in his own thoughts, barely noticing their chatter.
It wasn’t until Y/n emerged from the washroom, her father beside her, that he realized she was near. His heart skipped a beat as she stepped into the room, her vibrant orange hair catching the light. She looked radiant, even in the simple gown she wore, and a smile spread across his face as their eyes met.
“Good evenin', Y/n,” he greeted, warmth flooding his voice. “You look lovely.”
Y/n’s cheeks flushed as she returned his smile, but there was an uncertainty in her gaze that made him wonder what was going through her mind. He wanted to ask about the selection ceremony, about her feelings, but for now, he simply stood there, hoping the moment would allow for the words to come.
“Er, hello, Caleb,” Y/n replied, her voice slightly shaky but warm.
He chuckled, a playful glint in his purple eyes. “You look like a strawberry.”
Eva snorted from the corner, unable to stifle her laughter. Y/n cleared her throat, determined to hold her ground. “Yes, well, thank you. They’re in season.”
“Are they now?” Caleb’s tone was teasing, and Y/n couldn’t help but smile despite the slight embarrassment. Strawberries weren’t in season, but he enjoyed the banter.
“They are,” she insisted, a spark lighting up her eyes.
“Then I trust you know where the ripe one is?” His gaze was warm, his smile contagious.
Y/n felt her cheeks flush deeper, but before she could respond, he gently took her hand, intertwining his fingers with hers. The touch sent a pleasant shiver down her spine. Together, they walked out of the house, the chatter of her family fading behind them.
As they stepped into the sunlit yard, the gentle breeze carried the scent of the sea, mingling with the earthy aromas of the farm. Caleb turned to her, his expression shifting to something more serious. “I’ve been thinking about what’s happening today…”
Y/n’s heart raced. She knew this was the moment to speak up, to share her fears and her father’s plan. But for now, she let the warmth of his hand and the softness of the afternoon settle around them, hoping to find the right words as they moved further from the house and deeper into the lush fields.
“Listen... I wanna marry you—” Caleb began, his tone earnest.
“Yes,” Y/n interrupted, her heart racing.
“What?” His expression shifted, surprise flashing across his face.
“Yes! I’ll marry you,” she declared, her excitement bubbling over.
“Let me finish,” he said, his brow furrowing slightly.
Y/n looked at him, confusion evident in her eyes.
Caleb’s smile faded, replaced by a serious expression. “Y/n. Don’t get me wrong. You’re a beautiful woman. And we’re good friends. But really, it’d be more of an exchange. I’ll marry you. But I want your father’s farm.”
Her eyes widened in disbelief. “Excuse me?”
“I mean it,” he pressed, his voice steady but tinged with urgency. “If we’re going to make this work, we need to secure the land. The L/n farm is rich, and with your hand in marriage, I’d have both a partner and a stake in something that could thrive.”
Y/n felt her heart drop. The warmth of the moment had evaporated, replaced by a chill of realization. “You want to marry me for the farm?” she asked, hurt creeping into her voice.
Caleb’s expression hardened, his jaw set. “You thought this wouldn’t have an exchange? Marriage is a contract. I keep you safe, I get the land.”
“I can’t give you what isn’t mine,” Y/n shot back, her voice rising in disbelief.
“Look, you’re inheriting the farm. Your father is old. When I marry you, I inherit the farm instead. You’ll still have your sheep and goats, but I want you to stay in the gardens with the flowers.” He stepped closer, his eyes earnest. “Think about it. I’ll spruce the place up, combine our land. We can make a name for ourselves!”
Y/n stared at him, the weight of his words settling heavily on her shoulders. “You’re talking about my life as if it’s just an asset, Caleb! What if I don’t want to be tied to the farm? What if I want to travel, to explore beyond Linkon?”
He paused, the intensity in his eyes faltering. “But this is our home! This is where our lives are. We can make it better together.”
Caleb’s expression softened momentarily, but he quickly masked it with determination. “I’m not trying to control you! I just see potential—”
“Potential for what? For you to fulfill your dreams at the expense of mine?” Y/n felt anger bubbling inside her. “You’re reducing our relationship to a business deal!”
“I’m trying to think practically!” he insisted, frustration creeping into his voice. “We live in a harsh world, Y/n. If you get chosen today, it could be the end of everything for us. I just want to protect you!.... I care about you. But this isn’t just about us. It’s about doing what’ll be best.”
Silence hung between them, heavy with unspoken words and emotions. Y/n looked at him.
...Why did it feel scripted?
She ignores the brief thought, letting it slip just as quickly as it had arrived. “I need time to think,” she said, her voice barely a whisper.
“You don’t have time to think,” Caleb said suddenly, pulling a small box from his pocket. He opened it to reveal a simple yet elegant ring. “I got the ring. Just wear it.”
“You’re kidding,” Y/n replied, disbelief flooding her voice.
“I’m not,” he insisted, his gaze steady.
“Caleb—” she started, but he interrupted her.
“That farm is precious, and your family doesn’t even see it. Just marry me and let me help you.”
Y/n’s heart raced as she stared at the ring. “You can’t just expect me to decide everything right now! This is my life we’re talking about!”
“I know it is! But we’re out of time. If you don’t make a choice before the selection, you could end up as one of those girls, the ones that don't get anything good!”
The gravity of his words settled in her chest like a stone. She thought of the stories her grandmother had told her, the dark legends woven through the village about the gathering and the sacrifices. The idea of becoming one of those girls made her stomach churn.
“Caleb, this isn’t the way,” she said, shaking her head. “I don’t want to feel like I’m being sold off or bartered for land.”
“But you wouldn’t be! You’d be marrying someone who loves you, who wants to protect you!” He took a step closer, desperation flickering in his eyes. “Please, just wear the ring. We can figure everything else out together.”
Scripted. It felt so scripted. But why?
Y/n felt torn, her heart battling against her mind. The prospect of safety and partnership clashed with her desire for freedom and choice. “I… I need to think about it,” she said, her voice trembling.
“Look, if you’re not gonna marry me, I can wait for Eva. Or I’ll marry Lorraine—”
“Eva? Lorraine? Excuse me? Them of all people?” Y/n shot back, incredulous. The idea felt like a slap. Lorraine was the village gossip, always getting into trouble and never taking anything seriously. And her sister? Absolutely.
Caleb shrugged, a smirk playing on his lips. “I’m just saying, she wouldn’t mind. If you don’t want me, someone else will step in.”
“Right, because that’s how love works,” Y/n snapped, her frustration boiling over. “You can’t just jump from one sister to another like we’re some kind of game to you!”
“It’s not a game!” he argued, stepping closer, the tension thickening the air between them. “This is about survival, Y/n! Don’t you see? You can either have me fighting for you or risk being taken away, offered to the sea. I don’t want to lose you!”
Y/n’s heart raced as she considered his words again, the weight of the impending selection pressing down on her. The fear of the Dark Sea loomed larger than ever. “But I don’t want to feel trapped,” she said, her voice quieter now, almost pleading.
Caleb softened, his expression earnest. “You won’t be trapped with me. We can make it work, and build a life together. Just think about it—before it’s too late.”
As she looked into his eyes, Y/n felt a swirl of emotions—fear, anger, and- disgust? But the thought of marrying him out of desperation gnawed at her conscience. “I need more time- stop saying we don't have it."
“Time is the one thing we don’t have,” he replied, frustration creeping back into his voice. “Please, just wear the ring. Show me you’ll consider this. I can’t bear the thought of you being chosen—
“Y/n! Come on, we’re waiting for you!” Eva’s voice called from the house, pulling her back to reality.
Caleb took her hand, his grip firm but gentle, as he slid the ring onto her finger. “Insurance. Just in case,” he said, his voice steady despite the uncertainty swirling around them.
Y/n blinked, her heart racing, but before she could respond, laughter echoed from inside the house. Her family had gathered, and when they saw Caleb placing the ring on her finger, their cheers erupted like a sudden storm.
“Oh, look at that!” her mother exclaimed, beaming. “My darling Y/n is engaged!”
Y/n’s eyes widened in shock. “No! Wait!” But the joyous noise drowned out her protests. Eva clapped her hands, and Lucy jumped up and down, her chubby cheeks flushed with excitement.
“Caleb! You clever boy!” Eva gushed. “We knew you’d come through!”
“But you don’t understand—” Y/n started, but her voice was lost in the commotion.
“Come here, you two!” Mrs. L/n pulled Y/n into a tight embrace, tears of joy glimmering in her eyes. “I’m so proud of you, my sweet girl. You’re all grown up!”
Y/n felt the weight of her mother’s affection, but dread settled heavily in her chest. She glanced at Caleb, searching for a flicker of understanding, but he was caught up in the whirlwind of celebration, a victorious grin plastered across his face.
“Now we can start planning the wedding!” her mother continued, clapping her hands together. “This is wonderful news! The whole village will be thrilled!”
Y/n’s heart sank. The idea of a wedding felt like a chain, tightening around her, and the implications of her father’s words crashed over her again. Marrying Caleb was supposed to be a lifeline, a way to escape the selection—but something was off.
“Are you really happy about this?” she whispered to Caleb, who was now being congratulated by her father.
He turned, his expression earnest. “Of course I am. This is our chance. You’ll see.”
But Y/n could only nod, a forced smile on her lips, as the celebration continued around her.
And in the distance, carriages were coming, adorned with the rain clouds.

Giving batfam songs I think fit them and they would like
Bruce- Lithium by Nirvana (I have to)
(Ok so tumblr seems to really hate links to nirvana songs, so I’m sorry but Bruce won’t have a link, the song shouldn’t be hard to find if you want to find it)
(This is my third time typing this, sorry if it seems like I’m annoyed while I am, tumblr is being fucking stupid tonight) I picked the song lithium for Bruce because of a few lines in particular. The song itself is about a man who is depressed and finds god, but to me it represents how Bruce became Batman and what it did for him. “And just maybe I’m to blame for all I’ve hurt, but I’m not sure” can represent how Bruce hurts his friends and family by doing what he does as Batman, but often doesn’t realize the extent of it, he doesn’t know if he should be blaming himself because he doesn’t know how much he’s hurting them. “Light my candles in a daze, cause I found god” could easily be about how at this point he doesn’t think about being Batman, he just is. Finally “I missed you, I’m not gonna crack” to me is about his no killing rule. Even with how much he misses and loves his parents and kids (especially Jason) after their deaths he refuses to kill, he misses and loves them but he won’t crack.
Dick- Mama by My Chemical Romance
I picked this one for Dick because the song is about a solider going off to war, and when they come home their mother is horrified by the atrocities committed by her child. I think that could fit both Dick and his parents and Dick and Bruce. Dick’s biggest fear is disappointing Bruce, and if Bruce were to find out some of the things Dick has done that’s exactly what would happen. One of Dicks first thoughts after the blockbuster incident is what Bruce would say.
Babs- Malibu by Hole
The song is about how Courtney Love and Kurt Cobain used to talk about leaving LA to go move to Malibu together and get away from it all, and it kind of reminds me of Barbara and Dick, because neither of them would walk away, but I think there would be times they talked about it, but also I think a lot of hole songs would fit Barbara in general.
Jason- Bullet With Butterfly Wings by The Smashing Pumpkins
“Despite all my rage I am still just a rat in a cage, someone will say ‘what is lost can never be saved’” and “tell me I’m the only one, tell me there’s no other one, Jesus was an only son” (and “Jesus was an only son for you) are enough to explain why this fits Jason. (Alternatively for a younger Jason, army dreamers by Kate Bush)
Cass- The Garden by The Crane Wives
Truly if you haven’t listened to this song you really should, the crane wives are an amazing band and so many of their lyrics just read as poetry. But I picked this song for Cass specifically because of the lines “the crows in the garden are laughing at my expense” “hold your light to the darkness in my brain, put your ear to my heart or set your teeth against my throat” or “my darling, the devil knows my name.” To me as a whole the song represents the way that Cass has spent so much of her life being used for others gain (mostly by her father), the line about the darkness in the singers mind reminds me of the fact that Cass doesn’t think of herself as a good person, which is why I think the line is fitting.
Tim- Boys Don’t Cry by The Cure
Tim has had a long history of going through extremely traumatic things but refusing to feel the emotions that come with it, that coupled with the misogynistic writers for Tim Drake in the 90’s made me pick this for him. The lines “I would do most anything to get you back by my side” or “but I know that it’s too late and now there’s nothing I can do, so I try to laugh about it cover it all up with lies” really represented the grief he’s had to go through with loosing friends and family for me.
Steph- give me Novocain/ she’s a rebel by Green Day
Both of them work for Steph really fucking well and I’ve said the she’s a rebel thing before the post just got no notes, both songs are also incredibly underrated and glossed over and so is Steph. (Alternatively so nice, so smart by Kimya Dawson, although to me that more represents her relationship with Tim)
Duke- Class of 2013 by Mitski
Duke lost his family at a young age, he lost the security of having someone to take care of him. Then he had to lead a revolution again, as a child. “Mom, I’m tired, can I sleep in your house tonight?” Represents that to me, because I think after it all that’s what he would want, he would want his family after being as tired as he is. “And I’ll leave what I’m chasing for the other girls to pursue” is also fitting because people refuse to even acknowledge that Duke counts as a Robin. They don’t include him and I doubt that they have many plans to. They want him to leave behind signal and Robin for the rest of his siblings to pursue.
Damian- Bigmouth Strikes Again by The Smiths
Damian has long since been a martyr for both the writers and fandom. He’s constantly used for the benifit of others while also being told he’s a brat or a demon or whatever else anyone would like to call him, he’s a child. He does know how Joan of Ark felt, he’s a child constantly being victimized by people who should be protecting him. The line “and I’ve got no right to take my place to the human race” also fits him in my opinon due to his struggle with finding a way to fit in, in not only Gotham but his own family.
Harper- the kids aren’t alright by Pinkshift
I think the song itself fits Harper’s general attitude towards a lot of things, plus it seems like something she would listen to. But the lines “is it the cramps or was my life always this bad? I don’t know if I’ll ever make it to the other side where sky’s are blue and I don’t have to pay to stay alive” specially were what made me pick it for Harper.
Kate- Topless by The Malefactors
I think this song fits Kate really well, a lot of it has to do with her sexuality and how I interpret the lyrics. Specifically “I think you’re pretty when you’re topless, you know the law can never stop us.” Or “you know I love it how we play friends.”Fits Kate because the law didn’t stop her, she got kicked out of West Point because she refused to hide who she was. Also “I think you love it when I’m upset, like I love your fucking pessimistic mindset” fits her relationship with Renee (Montoya) very well.
This took me forever to type so I hope it turned out ok and I explained everything well, if you disagree that’s fine, you’re allowed to, just don’t be rude about it

Valentine-ish. As small background, Midas used to live in Anchordeep and grew up with a seahorse and swordfish called Aiota and Haar. Midas (back then called MaiMai) was very popular for his looks, so he'd get a lot of Valentines gifts but he was never interested, so he'd share any gift with his friends. Years later, while living with Fortuna, he would make a gold statue grave of his two old friends and his old self due to never being able to say goodbye after being banished from Anchordeep.

So... if we tried estimating Farmer's wealth based on how many lands they owned and the produce they shipped if we played vanilla + mods (SVE+RSV) after completion, how rich could the Farmer be?
Very, very rich, I think.
Even if we take just the vanilla farm (any type, without Ginger Island) as an example, Farmer has access to a huge plot of land where they can comfortably grow many crops and raise farm animals at the same time. The Ginger Island farm also gives you plenty of ways to get rich quick, as there's always one unique season and no crows to steal the crops. Yeah, no farm animals, but still. For example, the ability to harvest honey from a fairy rose all year long, or growing pineapples and other expensive crops like melon or pumpkins all year long as well.
With SVE mod, we have two more opportunities to grow crops (three if we chose Grandpa's Farm/Immersive farm type). The first is not even a plot, but a whole building - the Grandpa's Shed, when we fix it we get an additional greenhouse and a huge cellar. If you agree to Lewis's offer to take care of the old community garden - another small plot for crops. And if you agree to Apples/Morris's offer (depending on which way you chose), you get another plot of land for crops, + a small cellar.
With the Ridgeside Village mod and the possible suggestions we become just a God of Farming. Firstly, another greenhouse, which can be obtained by completing a quest and freeing a soul from a trap. Secondly, a community Ridgeside Village greenhouse, there is a small piece of land, but enough to plant many trees or the same crops. And finally, a big - no, a huge - farm on the very top of the mountain, where it is as big as even our main farm. Yes, buying land and building a house is expensive, but not only it all pays off, but you can grow any crop in all seasons. That is, Farmer can easily grow pumpkins in the summer, for example. With the right management, Farmer is able to make a fortune to the point where buying the most expensive building - the Gold clock - won't be a problem.
Honestly, at this rate, Farmer will easily surpass the entire Amethyne family in a few years, when that family has definitely been accumulating their wealth for generations.
The only problem for Farmer now is time management, because it's going to be hard as hell to harvest and plant seeds again before the day is over (to mention the mechanics of the game itself - without the mod to automatically harvest and stop time). I say this from my experience 😅

Sam! I found Prowly’s cousins in the wild over the weekend!
Their legs are distressingly useless but their eyes are somehow…worse to me. Anyway. I nearly bought the one with the crow as a hat but bought a pumpkin mug instead 😂
Oh my GOD I'm so sorry this took me THIS LONG to respond to, but look everyone, a little taste of Prowly late in November! :D I especially like the Pilgrim there on the left because if there's one thing we need it's decorative Puritan owls. :D
I probably should pick up a second copy of Prowly for when this one inevitably gets dropped or smashed; he's resin so he's pretty durable but he's already lost the bat on his hat (I still have it, it's just detached) and he's starting to look a little rough around the edges. But perhaps I'll wait until calamity strikes and then go searching for the most appropriately terrifying replacement.
[ID: A photograph of a store shelf featuring a number of Prowly-like owls; they have solid bodies and heads, and are wearing little vests and holding various autumnal objects like acorns. Their legs, like Prowly's, are twine with solid feet attached, and are simply Too Long.]

It is believed that this name originates from the fact that it was a signal for hunters to prepare for the upcoming cold winter by going hunting. This is because animals were beginning to fatten up in preparation for the winter season. Moreover, since fields had recently been cleared out under the Harvest Moon, hunters could easily spot deer and other animals that had come out to search for remaining scraps. Additionally, foxes and wolves would also come out to prey on these animals.
The earliest use of the term “Hunter’s Moon,” cited in the Oxford English Dictionary, is from 1710. Some sources suggest that other names for the Hunter’s Moon are the Sanguine or Blood Moon, either associated with the blood from hunting or the color of the changing autumn leaves.

• Day of the Dead- (Spanish: Día de Muertos or Día de los Muertos) is a holiday traditionally celebrated on November 1st and 2nd, though other days, such as October 31 or November 6, may be included depending on the locality. It is widely observed in Mexico, where it largely developed & is also observed in other places, especially by people of Mexican heritage. Although related to the simultaneous Christian remembrances for Hallowtide, it has a much less solemn tone and is portrayed as a holiday of joyful celebration rather than mourning. The multi-day holiday involves family and friends gathering to pay respects and to remember friends and family members who have died. These celebrations can take a humorous tone, as celebrants remember funny events and anecdotes about the departed.

Samhain is a Gaelic festival on 1 November marking the end of the harvest season and beginning of winter or "darker half" of the year. Celebrations begin on the evening of 31 October, since the Celtic day began and ended at sunset.
This fire festival is celebrated on October 31st & is considered the Pagan New Year. It is the first Sabbat on the Wheel of the Year, a cross-quarter festival & the third (final) harvest festival of the mundane year. This is the time when the veil between the worlds of the living & those who have passed is the thinnest, which allows greater communication between the two
Some believe this is the time of the Goddess's mourning of the death of the God until his rebirth at Yule. The Goddess's sadness can be seen in the shortening, darkening days & the arrival of cold weather

Day 1: Old Friends
(haha imagine being late to Venti Week HaHA HA HA-)
Seasons passed like the snow falling from the only mountain in Mondstadt. Despite his best efforts, such a chilly place was impossible to shape. Yet his people didn’t mind, so Barbatos let it stay for now.
The rolling hills of Mondstadt were glowing a golden hue as autumn made its home. He could smell the warm and inviting scent of pumpkin and apple pies being cooled next to the windows as Venti slowly exited the town. He waved at the workers constructing new houses before winter came again, their newest design supposedly better at retaining heat than last year’s version.
An apple in hand, Venti the god walked out of his city and into the fields. A couple birds perched ontop of his shoulders as he walked, he giggled as they pecked at his hair. So cute! The efforts to introduce more and more pigeons into the local environment were going along swimmingly! Soon, he thought, perhaps ducks would swim in Mondstadt’s lakes as crows fly overhead.
The sun moved from high noon to dusk by the time he arrived at the stone gate towards Liyue Harbor. He checked his pockets for the bottle of wine he wanted to share with the geo god, the bottle was a gift from Venerare. Drinks were the best when talking to people, and as since she and Gunnhildr declined his invitation for a get together- he might as well spend a day or two with his latest pal.
Morax, who delegated everything in the harbor, was an odd man to find. He usually walked throughout the streets of his city, never quiet retiring when the moon approached. Venti knew the other god questioned his lack of protection to Mondstadt, even if he never said it out loud. Even if he did, Venti wouldn’t answer him and they both knew that. Even if they knew each other for such little time, the anemo god’s heart was on his sleeve- even if his mouth tended to shield it’s omnipresent love. To take care of a city was something he could not do, even when watching Gunnhildr or Imunlaukr write words upon words. Paperwork, while easy for him, was utterly draining. He could never put into words the sheer hesitation in his heart as he stared at forms a plenty. There was this invisible barrier in his mind that prevented any such task to be completed. No. He needed something tangible. Something like seeing a person smile after he speaks with them.
At times he thinks of making some sort of complaint box for people to input their worries, but he remembers the bags under Gunnhildr’s eyes as a member of her clan sought her console. Could a person, who has been human for less than a decade, be able to relate to such everyday struggles. He knew he was like the bard he modeled himself after, a person who’s heart doesn’t flutter at the sight of another- so could he ever match the intensity humans craved of each other. He knows he needs to learn more. He knows that very very well. At times, the prose of everyday speech was filled with more metaphors than any ballad. Subtle stuff like which fork to use he still messed up on.
Even if he was a good leader, the relief and joy Gunnhildr, Imunlaukr, and Venerare had when they finished an event or tidied up a meeting was unmatched. They worked hard and then played hard. How could he ever lighten such an emotion of joy? How could he ever deny them of what they want to do? They know they could always ask for help, once or twice they asked if he could pause rain or storm for a ceremony. Yet they were so hesitant.
As he looked down at the river below him, he wondered if they still thought of him as a wisp.
From dusk to dawn he walked, the birds on his shoulders flying back home as he made his way farther and farther south. Should he have asked for a pastry before he left? He knew that most people brought along rations to eat, yet he had never tasted one before. Taking out a notebook, he wrote down in shaky handwriting another thing to test out.
Looking up at the sea of stars above him, his heartbeat at the sight. So many lights. So many colors. It was utterly divine no matter how many times he gazed upon it’s form. Tracing one of the many constellations with his pen, he wondered which ones would belong to his friends. Would their image be as gentle as their soul, or as fierce as their battle cries. He could just imagine a bearlike constellation for Gunnhildr. A flower or mask for Venerare. A crystalfly for Imunlaukr. A unicorn for Ragnvindr.
Would it be so wrong to engrave the image of a three-sided flower into his own constellation?
Taking a moment to rest, he could spot the inn in the distance. While it would be no trouble to walk there, the wind felt wonderful at the very spot he was standing.
Sitting down near a rock, he leaded against it as he tuned his lyre. Playing a song without words, he settled for a simple score. Chords of moving up and down the scale was nothing new to him, yet the basicness of it all underneath something grand made it all so special. Notes kept coming out of him, as Venti subconsciously channels a bit of anemo into his strings. The reverb made a pleasant noise in his head, like playing in a cave or a dungeon. Before long, he had spent the night experimenting with varying levels instead of sleeping.
He could feel the butterflies of Liyue rest on flowers, and even the fish near him seemed to move less and less. He wondered if they could hear him, even if they were in water or it was mere coincidence. Still, the bard in green had an audience and thus put on a calming show.
A butterfly, bluer than the ocean, made its home on his lyre as he finished his last song. He watched its wings move up and down, breathing in its own unique way. Venti raised his hand to let it move to his finger, and brought the creature over to eye level. “Is it true.” He muttered to the insect, “You turn into goo before you are born anew?” It didn’t answer him, yet he was still mesmerized by its jewel scales. “How brave are you, to be metamorphized and renewed. Did you have a clue? Or did you see it as something you had to do…”
The rise of the sun was something he would aways cherish, it’s rays bathing the world in a warm light. He could sense in the distance animals and birds chirping as the darkness of night left. Venti smiled as he placed his lyre away, heading into the inn to buy a breakfast before leaving. He remembered the one time before he even met Morax, of stumbling over his words in a broken language as he gestured at the menu. Thankfully, another person from his city was checking out at the time- willing to help the bard understand most of the characters as they suggested they travel together. While Venti was intending on staying the night, he took his fellow former rebel up on their offer and met the geo god that very evening.
Tap tap tap, he finished his plate ever so quick and this time ordering something else to bring to Morax besides just wine. How about ten or so matsutake mushrooms? Those are super tasty!
Container safely secured in his hands, he resumed his journey southbound. Sometimes along his travels he would bump into people being chased by slimes or whopperflowers- sending a quick arrow before retreating. Not a single treasure horder or bandit approached him this time, which was great! He didn’t have to worry about talking to the millelith and delaying this trip by an hour or so!
The ocean breeze greeted him like a familiar friend. His notebook practically hummed at the wind cradling it. The name of this breeze was engraved on the first couple of pages, along its own poem. The future atlas had a lot more blank pages that yearned to be filled, and Venti could never forget the energetic ocean kin. They were much different than the quieter ones north, so used to interacting with sails and kites. They zoomed around the bard, as Venti danced in their nonverbal language. He laughed at their jokes and their gossip, whispering him secrets and common knowledge. Sure sometimes they liked to mislead, but they were much more truthful than the ones living on the islands even southern from here!
“How do you do! My friends I would love to sing you all many tunes, yet the time slot for today is filled by the king of dirt. Many apologizes for being so curt!” He smiled at his newer friends. They zipped around him, the warm breeze mixing a bit with the cooler ones. “Remember you all! Rex Lapis would be disappointed and ready to brawl should you cause a storm by the harbor’s maw.” They laughed and spun around some more, their attention spans airy as they soon left.
Liyue harbor was as busy as ever. The crops and fabrics of Mondstadt were being solder at higher prices than last time he visited. Was it because of their most recent harvest or was it the amount of growth his humble city had accumulated. He should ask his friend. Morax was nowhere to be seen, so box of mushrooms in hand Venti wandered the streets. It’s stones were so perfectly aligned with the business, a product of many architects and designer’s hard work. Despite all of that, there was barely hints of greens, the ivy and moss had long since cleared away to expose wood and stone to customers. There were the occasional blues of a grace lily or reds of a silk flower bush, but those were carefully gardened.
Venti knew from his previous encounters not to ask around for Morax’s presence. Usually he would appear when he least expected it, like a cat watching a person fish. Those eyes of cor lapis was somewhere in this city, he could sense it in the wind.
Using the simple box as a rest for his stuff, Venti brought out his lyre once more and began to play. This city had some laws against playing music, but as long as he sticked to a certain timeframe, crowd amount, and volume then there shouldn’t be much trouble. He spotted his usual crowd of young adult faces, groups of friends wanting to experience the singing of a different culture together. He laughed along with their antics as the minutes and hours passed. The morning light moved to late noon as still no sign of the lord of geo graced Venti’s presence. Still, with the amount of mora being donated his way, he wasn’t complaining!
He began another ballad, just short enough for the timeframe of this nation’s laws. This one was a bit simpler, of a drunkard testing out different combinations of fruits and vegetables- til one day they combined sea water, ice, and some very angry air that emptied their appetite. He got a bit lost in the rhymes, yet even he noticed the sun was beginning to set, and Venti packed his stuff up once more, saying thanks to the crowd for being such wonderful guests.
As he lifted his head from his bow, he saw it.
An red mane he hasn’t seen in seasons.
His mouth felt dryer than ever as he looked at the person in the back of the crowd, his red eyes and claymore was unforgettable. He did not expect this. How could he ever expect this.
Stuttering a bit more, Venti continued to end his performance, before darting after that leaving figure.
It was him. It had to be.
He wanted to scream the red haired warrior’s name. Ragnvindr! Ragnvindr! Ragnvindr!
Are you angry at him?
Do you loath him?
Are you ever coming home?
Was I ever home to you?
How have you been?
Are you eating well?
Are you still painting?
Are you still collecting books?
Do you live around here?
How many places have you gone?
Do you hate him?
Do you hate him?
Do you hate him?
Do you hate him?
Do you hate him?
Do you hate him?
Do you hate him?
Do you hate him?
Do you hate him?
Do you hate him?
For doing the unforgivable and attempting to be Him.
The seasoned rebel dodged every single step of Venti’s, weaving through the city as the sun set and somehow blending into the darkness despite his hair. Yet Venti knew they needed to talk. They had to. Ragnvindr, dear Ragnvindr….. Venti has so many letters to give him! Gunnhildr wishes him well! The trainees have started a little knight club after the man and his techniques! You should come and visit! Even if you didn’t want to see the bard’s face as he did, then Venti could always be out of town when they did so! As long as…
As long as he knows Ragnvindr was alive… then Venti would be happy.
“Ragnvindr!” He called out, the knight didn’t stop as Venti begged. “Please wait.” Was it going against his own ideal to force him to have a conversation? Was he being too much? No. No he reasoned. Ragnvindr needed to know how much they all missed him and that Venti yearned for the days they would sit in silence as their mutual friend wrote in the other room.
There was no response.
Venti raised his voice a bit more, “Ragnvindr… slow down! I need to talk to you! This is..”
Turning the corner, he saw nothing, only a man made stream with all it’s citizens gone. It was dark. So dark. The moonlight reflecting Venti’s gaze as he stared at the ground and waters below him, the fish swam slowly unaware of his storm.
Venti… laughed.
“Ragnvindr…” He could feel the tears on his cheeks. “I know seeing such a ghost would be…” Venti clenched his fist as he crouched near the waters. His legs felt so weak. Why was he so weak? He couldn’t even catch up to a person running! This shapeshifted form of his was so slow so heavy so… wonderful. The weakest of all the gods lost this round, and he didn’t know if this would ever happened again.
The ocean breeze never felt so cold. A couple leaves from very distant trees fell onto the water’s surface as Venti placed a hand on his chest. His lungs hurt. Was this what it was like to be out of air?
The bard sat at the edge of the water for who knows how long as he thought and thought. He was too demanding to Ragnvindr. He was annoying the knight. He didn’t want see Venti and that’s final. He… must hate Venti for robbing the corpse of his dear leader. Venti was a mockery of such a kind and gentle soul, he knew it. There was no world that he and Ragnvindr would ever be friends.
Yet why did it hurt so much. Why did he care so much for the man who left Mondstadt? Why did he leave? Venti closes his eyes, never knowing the truth.
He could feel a presence behind him, and he quickly jumped to turn around.
Amber eyes greeted him.
“Barbatos.” He greeted, “You look unhappy to see me.”
“Oh it’s nothing Morax…. Just….” The immortal let out a sigh, “I failed to talk to an old friend.”
“You.. failed?”
The young god nodded, “I..” he stuttered, never doing that in front of another god before, “Don’t worry about it. It’s.. over. Would you care for a drink and some food?”

SAMHAIN
Pronounced as "sow-in," as in "cow"
When is Samhain?
In modern times, Samhain is celebrated October 31st through November 1st, roughly the halfway point between the autumnal equinox and winter solstice.
What is Samhain?
It is a celebration welcoming the "darker half" of the year, as the harvest season ends and winter approaches. The veil between the world of the dead and the living is at its thinnest during this time.
Who does Samhain celebrate?
Deceased ancestors and loved ones are primarily honored and respected. Gods, Goddesses, and other deities associated with death and the underworld may be regarded, such as Persephone (Greek goddess of agriculture and the queen of the Underworld), Cailleach (Gaelic goddess of winter and wisdom), The Morrigan (Celtic goddess of strife and death), Hecate (Greek goddess of the night, a bridge between good and evil), and Crom Cruach (Gaelic god of harvest), to name a few.
SAMHAIN TRADITIONS
Work with gemstones that keep away negative energy, such as black tourmaline, smoky quartz, and hematite. Stones that invoke luck and hope are also appropriate for the upcoming winter harshness, like opals, rubies, and pyrite.
Use herbs to stave off negative spirits and bad energy, by burning palo santo, patchouli, and sandalwood. Resin from the copal tree, a deep red color much like blood, also radiates good energy and symbolizes the "sacrificial blood of trees," connecting us to our ancestors. This comes from Mesoamerican traditions.
Consume foods rich in nutrients and/or will warm you up for the cooling weather, like squashes, pumpkins, turnips, apples, mulled wines, pork, beef, and traditional barmbrack (sweetbread filled with raisins and spices).
Decorate and dress yourself in spooky colors like black, grey, purple, and orange.
Incorporate animal imagery (e.g., figurines, photographs, drawings, et cetera) of bats, spiders, black cats, and crows--animals associated with the nighttime, (mis)fortune, and as messengers between realms.
SAMHAIN ACTIVITIES
Cleanse your home. Use stones, palo santo, and/or essential oils to rid your home of any negative energy.
Take a ritual bath. Add a drop of patchouli essential oil, coarse salt, and cloves to your bath, and relax under the moonlight.
Honor the dead. Do this however you may see fit; perhaps place a photo of a deceased loved one in a magical space, offer items that they had liked (e.g., food, toys, clothes), and light a white candle in their memory.
Light a bonfire. Commune with your ancestors and/or community beside the fire, and welcome the darker days.
Carve a jack-o-lantern. You can use a pumpkin or a turnip, carving out a scary face and illuminating it by placing a tealight inside.
youtube
Make a Samhain altar. Add a photograph of a deceased love one or iconography of a deity of your choice, and surround it with lit candles, harvest foods (e.g., squash, pumpkins, corn, or even your jack-o-lantern), dried leaves, salt, and symbols of death (e.g., ash, bones, the death tarot, et cetera).
Get creative with recipes! Carlota Santos, who is the author of Magicka, recommends a vegan version of lambswool, a traditional Samhain drink. Here is the recipe below!
