Some people might remember the (kinda wip) piece I posted in September - well, I'm happy to announce that I finally reworked it and now I'm actually happy with it. :3

the hi-fi rush situation really bums me out.

we had this game that looked super unique, everybody loved it, it won tons of awards

and then it barely got any marketing, feels like it only got as popular as it did thanks to word of mouth and the initial shadow drop, was deemed a "failure" despite selling what many companies would consider a success back in the day, (because it didnt sell call of duty numbers, probably.) and then its studio got shut down

the studio was just starting to spread its wings, start making shit that could inspire their peers, other devs, to start making different things and experiment

and they fucking killed them

it's gone

i mean, maybe they'll make their own studio, i've heard something like that's happened a couple times with the yooka-laylee devs and sonic mania's dev team

but i dunno

as much as i love games like spider-man and god of war (and i mean literally just those two, like, anything else sony does aside from ratchet and clank im not into) i wish they didnt worry so much about modelling photorealism

the obsession with stuff like that is what's made game development so expensive and unsustainable at this rate

i know this is tumblr so the first reaction im gonna get to saying something like "i like spider-man and god of war" at least in my circle is "GOOD GLAD THAT IT'S BECOMING UNSUSTAINABLE FUCK THEM" but like. i actually like what these games had to say and what they brought to the table.

God, I miss the ot5 of the titans so much help.

Can we have like one comic issue about THEM and only them? Being a family? With no character bias.

Idk what the hell happened but, even if some of the og members are popular now, theyre still never in the same og team with all the newer teams and even more newer characters to replace the old ones that were shittily rebooted from the 90s and no one gave a fuck.

Like, the only two that stay relatively in touch and are significant to each other across issues NOT in titans comics, and have NO changes done to their character/dynamic is Dick and Wally.

Roy is.... different. His character is relatively the same but one minute hes a spunky teen and one minute hes some gruff uncle and sometimes hes an alchaholic and an asshole and other times hes just... weird. For roy hes really 50/50 in comics in whether I like him there or not. Hes the same character, he still has Lian (different...moms???) and he still shoots arrows but his character is so all over the place.

I dont see Donna much. Also, shes bland. Very. Shes barely there, as an adult, and has no personality. Even in like the sort of "newer" teams she is never as good with the old teams. Is my expectations too high? Shes mostly usually the sensible grounded character. But, she isnt as WARM anymore. Some issues she has a kid. Idk. Her characters a fling too. Nothing is solid.

I hate what they did to Garth. I dont hate Kaldur. I hate that people REPLACE Garth WITH Kaldur. Im pretty sure its established theyre both VERY DIFFERENT. No one can write Garth truly as accurrate as the old comics. Even the rebirth. Garth is. Bland. Left out. The character developments that were meant to make the timeskip/growup of these characters, like make me happy to see them grow up, isnt there. Garth was never really popular and well done much, anyways.

Wally is popular. Im happy about that. I think him being the Flash as Robin upgrades to Nightwing is cool too. Sometimes him and Dick are in the same team, sometimes theyre not. Ages for some reason are always different. Sometimes Wally is in the teen titans. Sometimes the JL. Hes a fan favourite, so I suppose him and Dick are easy. They have outside content by their own/with their associated hero family that the others dont have as much of. No shit, the nightwing series is amazing. So is the flash. But the aqua one is like, kinda meh.

Im greatful

Im so greatful for this year. Ive made new friends, both online and irl, i have a wonderful partner and for once it genuinly doesnt feel toxic or hurtful in any way? Same with friendships

Ive learnt communication skills, am doing better on musical theater, singing classes, ive participated on a recital/concert, rehearsing for a production of the greatest showman and might get a better role/an upgrade of sorts??

Im doing better physically, as in my resistance in sports and running. I cant say im doing great in school but id say im doing fairly good compared to other years, and on top of that im slooowly but surely starting on twitch.

Ive joined a bunch of new stuff and made new friends because of it, met some amazing people.

Im just so glad and happy. I think even my relationship with my irl family has had- improvements, and thats a lot!

And i have the most wonderful online family still<3 so glad to have them with me

My self confidence has also improved, and my mental health is better than last year, way better, which is crazy considering what i went through on 2023.

I have even found a religion im comfortable with and have been working on my spirituality, my connection with the world and people. I feel safer than before and I think having something to believe in is actually doing good for me, I've even found a group of people to guide me through it even if we dont practice in the same way (see, my friends mostly work with the gods while i simply pray and praise them, so we do different stuff, but theyre still such a great source of information and guidance!)

Im just happy with life right now!

I have important presentations tomorrow, so imma go study a bit more now, and maybe work more on that pearl family bracket thingy hehe.. its looong overdue.. oops! What can i say? Ive been a busy lil lad lately hehe

art vent, kind of makes me look like a shallow person

FOR clarification i'm 20. turning 21 in two months. yippee! what an eye opener

the point of trying to profit your art, especially using your art to help fund for survival since you were 11 - you realize that while you want to improve your art for yourself, you're so consciously aware of what parts would appeal to strangers who see your art.

because you don't want to appeal to others to enjoy your art, you want to appeal to others to garner money and funds. i've ebegged on this site for almost a decade, on so many different accounts and even used my art as much as i could to get even more money. to pay bills, to pay for food, to help my mother in medical emergencies. since i was only 11 years old, by the way. a lot of the time, while it is a huge part of my reason to keep improving -- i don't actually think of reasons such as improving my art because 'i want to go to college' 'i want to be better' as much as my main reason being: i want this to sell to people.

that being said, my art style is something im so happy with right now for myself. but i think like. you have to really make your art your signature. that way, people will want to buy what you can give them. but algorithm is just, so hard to fight with now. the heartbreaking part is that, even if i'm at my 'peak' in art.

and my art has always been my one consistent interest, thats never faded. it's apart of my daily life. my routine, my medicine, my hobby, my enjoyment. i need this to live in many different ways. whether it be for providing my funds via commissions, coping art for trauma, or generally to express my happiness for things in my head, etc. i need this hobby or i will die. its the one skill ive had my entire life thats stuck, and its something i'm *good* at. and i've kept up with it to this day.

my art looks consistently good. flattering. i would say at some points it feels.. professional, sometimes. i am consistently proud and satisfied with my art and haven't struggled on pieces as much as i used to several years ago. it took me 2 months to come up with illustrations. now ive been pumping them out with ease. commissions are so much faster. quicker. ive really upgraded. i'm efficient, quick, and my stylization journey has been amazing.

yet..

this has been the hardest i've ever fucking struggled to make money, ever. since i was 11 years old. i've never.. had so much difficulty. i feel spoiled, honestly, when i know so many other artists struggle filling commissions too. but i've always had good fortune, i guess. good luck. but not since the year began. it's been so hard to fill in requests, so hard to fill slots. even when my prices are cheaper, it's still so hard. which is crazy, because 2 years ago i was consistently filling slots like crazy. i had consistent income, for the most part. i was able to help my family, avoid eviction, pay for water, clothes, food. emergencies like car wrecks, medical stuff -- god, its insane how much my art has helped me. it's scary. to think about what woulld happen if i didnt have this skill.

back then, like my art looked like this in 2021.

i look back and i wonder. this is fine, its definitely my art style. but how did i makee so much money off of stuff like this? so much more than i do now? i still draw fanart, and my art's been getting better. i think its honestly just bad luck, or maybe algorithm has flopped a lot of my stuff. either way, it's sort of humbling. Extremely humbling, that even with all this improvement - it still may not be enough to get me anywhere. i've never struggled before, trying to open commissions even when ive always focused on original content primarily. i know its hard to get popularity when you only draw ocs, but ive been fine for the most part. getting by, until lately.

i think i'll just have to keep working harder. see what people enjoy, but its just really ego crushingi think. And i could care less about popularity or anything. i think the really awful part is that im just stressed all the time about how i can keep making money off of this when its been so hard to even fill slots, let alone gaining peoples interests. Is this competition related? is this just a shit time for artists? am i just flopping. Who knows.. ohwell. ill survive

parsley wakes up and is dumped by zen since zen is responsible lol. zen kneels down to try and help parsley up but he just wants to lay on the ground. parsley realizes hes in a library and just keeps laying there. zen tells him teya is researching the feywilds. teya learns that time passes differently in the feywilds.

back by wheatley hes still taking potshots on the range with senna watching. it does quite a bit of damage. fuckin lazers man. senna claps cause it looks cool. she notices its overheating and she calls out to him to cease firing so it wont explode lol. he giggles hes so happy lol.

back to parsley, he wants to go shopping! so he fucks off. zen tells teya to stay here and he goes after parsley. parsley goes up in the air trying to find his bearings. he doesnt notice anything xD he gets beamed by a lazer and zen yells at him to get down. anti air defense! big guns aiming at him lol. he quickly gets the fuck back down like wtf. zen says their for emergencies. parsley isnt registered so no flying. zen says he will escort him to the blacksmith.

senna and wheatley saw parsley get shot and hurry over there and meet up like wtf. wheatley heals parsley a bit. he says hes banned from flying and zen explains the guns. parsley says he needs new pants since it got wrecked. senna says they met a nice robot that made them some clothes. zen is taking parsley to the blacksmith first. senna points out wheatleys cool lazer gun to parsley, but zen says to not get too close cause its radioactive. wheatley freaks out and backs away.

zen reminds everyone they couldve used the tokens at anytime. it can do lots of stuff. map, lightsource, storage, shopping. senna tells wheatley he can store the lazer until its needed. thank god right? XD

wheatley tries to hold parsleys wrist and hes like "uhh no, im fine stop that." "worry is my default state of being." parsley keeps saying hes fine.

good ol smith! parsley wants a new dagger! he just gets an ordinary dagger no plus 1 for him. he then asked for a whip but smith doesnt really work with leather. check a leather worker! parsley changes his mind tho cause i dunno. as we go to leave smith says he misses his shop awwww. time to get teya!

teya however wandered off goddamn. now we have to go find her. shes getting surrounded by robots asking her stuff lol. their so excited to go back outside! teya is a little anxious getting mobbed like this. theyve never seen an organic like teya before! one of the robots notices teya is nervous and tells the other bots to back up. just in time we arrive to the rescue!

zen crosses his arms and scolds teya for leaving. she claims to have no memory of this. wheatley grabs her and says he was worried about her. zen gets the robots to leave. wheatley says they are just lonely. zen says android is waiting for us its time to go.

back to the soul jar! ANDROID GOT AN UPGRADE AND HES WEARING CLOTHES! he looks more like zen in structure now! less arms and smaller xD android says he took some steps moving forward awww. he says he doesnt like the clothes but only belts would look weird. wheatley agrees, clothes are weird xD he has a rapier and a pistol and rifle instead of just spawning weapons.

parsley is a dick and trying not to laugh. zen gives him a big hug awww. hes so proud of him. senna just says he looks nice. he thanks her??? holy shit. senna doesnt make a big deal out of it. sadly everyone else did lol. 'wow i didnt know you could say that.' senna sucker punches parsley in the shoulder. android calls him an idiot.

wheatley says goodbye to lil bro. SP also says goodbye awww. group hug for them awww. teya recalls to herself more fey facts that fey see other humanoids beneath them. entertaining but not equals.

zen sets down a portal and out we go! adventure! still by that temple and parsleys big pile of firewood. hes fucking taking the wood and putting it in the storage unit. wheatley says he thought parsley liked chopping firewood? he uh misunderstood lol.

wheatley holds sennas hand and wraps his tail around her. he just wants a pal :3 senna and teya message each other and teya is excited to sleep again :3 parsley suddenly notices wheatley is in a dress xD

as were walking we hear screaming! a small town and some bodies that got smashed! senna runs toward the screaming as parsley flies into the air to see what it is. parsley sees people running from giant...things. senna sees a giant iron golem chasing a dude. senna lobs some acid at it! hits! everyone is hurrying over to senna.

the acid begins to corrode it a bit and it turns toward senna, lumbering over. shes luring it over to the rest of the gang. parsley flies behind its head to slice it but its sword bounces off cause its METAL PARSLEY! wheatley casts branding smite!

wheatley shoots it with his pistol. the golem attacks parsley! (IT GOT A 31 WTF RAZ) parsley manages to block the attack with his shield but he still took a lot of damage and knocks him into the ground. parsley enters a rage and wild surges. a pixie appears by the golem and then parsley attacks with his handaxe. bounces off again. then the pixie explodes! senna uses spiritual weapon and summons a floating hammer and it crits! then acid splash again! teya curses it to wis save everyturn or he cant do anything.

wheatley again! heat metal! now the golem is glowing hot and its repairing itself since its melted. senna yells at wheatley for healing it. another golem shows up fucks sake. android shoots it and it lumbers toward him. good boy. zen trips it nice job. androids rapier floats in the air stabbing away. raz stop making them cool i cant NOT fuck them-

the golem were fighting failed his save so he does nothing. parsley drops his rage and tries to reduce the golem. it doesnt work its immune. another pixie appears and blows up. senna does acid again and the floating hammer force. teya vampiric touches it cause shes nuts. wheatley leaves cause parsley told him to find and rescue survivors.

oh no the golem succeeded. it fuckin sends teya flying back but her curse still sticks good. parsley casts fairyfire and the golem gets outlined with blue light and our attacks have advantage.

cutting to wheatley fast hes mostly finding smashed people. he starts running into intact buildings and yelling at people to flee. people are trapped! their afraid of wheatley though. he tries to calm them but their scared badly. they say the golems got turned against them? robots that look just like wheatley!? he keeps trying to get them to flee and then leaves. time for the next house! they all do the same thing.

senna yet again acids and hammers pog. a piece of the golem fell off nice. teya misses vampiric touch darn. then she casts hidden step sneaky. golem got loose again goddamn. smacks parsley to the ground again and he loses the fairyfire. then he smacks parsley again he broke his ribs! he chugs a potion and tries to distract the golem lol. senna lobs acid and hammers again. teya vampiric touches again and does big nice. the golem is slowing down. she hidden steps again.

golem once more cant move! parsley disengages and goes to find wheatley. senna misses the acid and hammer darn. teya also misses vampiric touch again. fuck the golem got loose and attacks senna. smacks her shield and impacts it fuck. second attack misses ha!

cutting to parsley he epically fails the invs roll while screaming for wheatley and coughing up blood. he starts going in buildings and trying to make people leave. he gives the guy a healing potion and leaves. they warn him of wheatley and parsley calls him an idiot and goes. he also drinks more potions.

back to the fight! senna lobs acid and hammers once again. it collapses again! senna immediately whips around to help zen and android! teya comes too! she misses lol. zen was astral punching it but he does look a bit beat up. the golem goes after teya lol. fuck that has to hurt but it misses the second attack.

android calls the golem a thoughtless metal can and tries to get its attention. he keeps shooting it. zen keeps punching but his attacks are low. senna once more acids and hammers pog. teya curses it pog! the golem breaks loose tho lol. its going for teya! teya is dropped to 1 holy shit her arm shouldnt be bent like that.

cutting to parsley he finds wheatley yay! wheatley looks exhausted lol and he goes to another building. parsley yells out to him and grabs him. wheatley hugs him that hurts xD parsley tells him to go back and help while he helps the people.

back to the fight! android missed every shot wtf. zen epic failed. senna healing words teya then hammers again. teya misses the vampire again then hidden steps lol. the golem goes for senna fuck. that hurts. missed the second attack again. android jumps on its back and shoots it in the head.

senna immediately begins healing teya again. wheatley just missed the fight lol. he goes about healing senna and she also heals herself. senna heals teya to full shes just sore. senna asks where parsley is. wheatley says robots that looked like him did this. senna messages teya to look after wheatley and senna goes to get parsley. wheatley tells teya the villagers tried to attack him so he cant ask for info. teya hugs him the poor guy.

parsley keeps doing what hes doing and trying to drag people out of their houses. not smart. they aint wanna go outside. parsley sighs and says he'll go with him he has experience fighting this kind of stuff. 'you think its gonna get bored and go away?' parsley is done with this guy lol. he finally agrees and leaves lol. as they exit senna runs over to parsley and tells him they did it. senna heals parsley a bit nice.

2.26.2024 - a new start

Today is my dad's birthday. He'd be turning fifty-eight if he was still on earth with us. It's his heavenly birthday, the fourth one we've had to celebrate without him since he passed away in December of 2019.

My life hasn't been the same since he died. There was been a long and sharp decline of my life since losing him. grief is so hard. depression is so hard. feeling like you have no reason to live anymore because you miss your father and the life you used to have when you had two living parents is really fucking hard.

Last year, I lost a job I thought I really wanted but in reality they treated me so shitty I was happy to leave, but my leaving that job completely distroyed my finances. I went from being able to swipe my AMEX without any care in the world, paying for flights for my mom, upgrading my delta flights to internet begging on ig just so I could pay my phone bills. My credit is shot, I went nine months without a job or anyway to pay my bills. I have over $5,700 in collections right now.

Spiritually, I feel so disconnected from God. I don't have a church home and I haven't felt comfortable with faith. I want to get back to the way I was before. obedient and faithful. hearing God and trusting him. Losing my dad, great-grandma and then my nana last year really shook me.

Physically, between grief, depression, the pandemic and good ol pain, ive gained more weight that I've ever had in my life. I'm just under 400 pounds and I hate it. it hurts to walk, it hurts to bend over. I wake up in pain and I go to sleep in pain. my clothes don't fit correctly and im too big for most clothing companies anymore. the clothes I can wear (fit into) does not reflect my personal style and I hate it. I'm sick of being invisible to all men and most women. I know people don't find me attractive and its so hard to continue to be confident in a body no one likes and one that you don't even really like.

So today, on my dad's heavenly birthday, im making a promise to myself, to him and to God. I will not waste the life that I have been given. I'm too loved to just rot away. This year I will take control of my life again.

Im really sad because I was waiting for the RTX series 40 to launch so I could buy a cheap 3080 but now not only did they stop manufacturing the 30s to avoid price reduction, the 40 series might lead to cooling problems. I think I'll buy a 4080 or 4070 and then pray to god that the first PC I build by myself, instead of paying someone to do it, doesn't explode.

I just want to upgrade man!!

In other news SSDs are a lot cheaper than I tought they were right now wich means disk is probably super cheap and I will get 10000000000 TB of data. I might be able to put my Linux boot and its entire file system on SSD and then be a very happy camper whenever I boot it for college or, hopefully, for a job once college is done.

I am really reluctant on accepting my dad's money to build something so expensive, but I swear I'm gonna make a lot of money and put that man wherever he wants!!

i figured out how to replant tortimer's island palm trees, so i should be able to catch beetles soon

i began laying out my flowers, so i'll soon have pretty flower walkways!

i really need to get some new bridges because i absolutely hate where mine is placed currently. but i dont want to build a new one yet bc i want it to be a pretty one, since if it isnt, im just gonna end up wasting money by destroying it later, if that makes sense....im stingy with money both irl AND in-game!!

i was planning on making the area outside the train stop full of pink flowers, but ive instead filled it with pansies. i might go back to pink, but idk.....

also: how long does it take for fruit to regrow??? also trees take forever ???? ik im just being impatient but damn.

oo also villagers. now that i have the campsite, im excited! honestly, the only villagers of mine that im attached to rn are opal and rosie. so if anyone wants to be notified in case my other villagers move out, lmk!

and now for a nostalgia rant. in one of my previous towns, i think 2018? i had some amazing villagers that i really miss — pancetti and merengue. i love them so much! if anyone has them, please let me know because i love them!!! i miss them!! come back home, im so sorry for leaving you!!!!!!!!!

danny phantom episode 4-7 Thoughts: (under a readmore because, these got kinda long!)

-the outfit danny had to buy for dash's party. CLASSIC 2000S i cannot stop laughing. And also showing up to the party and everyone is dressed like the trio is hilarious. and further proof that everyone looks good dressed goth.

-dash has a closet full of cute lil bear plushies?? LOVE that. adorable. also his response to danny trashing his room fighting a ghost was SO valid if somone BROKE MY BED IN HALF ID BE PISSED TOO.

-technus being like 'oh smart, u should be a tutor!' then later being like 'forget tutor, be a teacher!' :) supportive king <3 I also really like his upgraded suit/design. AND SPOCK CAMEO??? HELLO??

-the music in this show is super. its so funky. I looked it up and the guy who does it, guy moon (awesome name) also did music for other cartoons like fairly odd parents, barnyard, chalkzone, billy & mandy, AND some actual movies like FIGHT CLUB??? the whiplash I got from reading that)

-sam being rich explains a lot about her, actually.

-like my only gripe is that dash really isnt LEARNING ANYTHING WHEN DANNY GETS BACK AT HIM IN THE MOST PETTY INDIRECT WAYS. whatever they had to add a bully psa episode I guess. the amount of mixed feelings i have about the animal crossing news like one im super excited to get back into it after the update but its also like a lot of these are features the game frankly should have shipped with i still dont get why shop upgrades still dont exist and i guess never will and tho cooking and farming look fun the fact its going thru the extremely irritating crafting system makes me less excited and then like the fact theyre saying its the last free update ever makes me a bit concerned cuz new leaf was supported for much longer and like while i dont think its that crazy to make happy home designer 2 a paid addition to the game the fact its being called dlc is what makes me nervous and from the direct ive seen it had both ranch and rococo furniture pieces and the implication there will be a lot of furniture specific to the dlc is giving me overwhelming vibes of pokemon saying oh we cant support the full pokedex and then putting a bunch of old pokemon into the dlc like come on now and i worry that this is opening the door to a bunch more dlc packages that are providing things that frankly should be for everyone considering the game costs $60 i wont say any of this is for sure but those are my worries i do actually genuinely like happy home designer and play it a ton so i cant say im not curious about the dlc but i also dont really love the switch mechanics i much prefer dragging furniture around on a touch screen and it doesnt seem wildly different and i swear if all the old furniture sets are locked behind that paywall god ill be mad

And svt confirmed for rythym hive!! And ngl I feel a bit...meh? Now don't get me wrong, I am happy after 3,000 years we finally got the boys in a music game again but I am not that much of fan of the recent updates to the game. So the game plays similar to the superstar games, imo It is still tricky of a game because they have an extra hard mode and introduced how you want to see the notes appear (aka they dissappear at the end so you have to go by memory in tapping or similar to superstar where it kinda appears faded at the beginning) but many game features is just confusing to me? Like the big thing the game sells is you play against others in real time and not true. Its bots, same way as the Mario kart game on your phone. Takes actual usernames but has bots. So you might be thinking is there a ranking system? Like in superstar where you go up the levels. Yes and no. At first they didn't have that but they added one yet it is pointless to me? So you have a ranking and can see the top 100 players and you can get rewards but there is no ranking to say go up (i.e gold 2 to gold 3) like it just resets. There isn't like a reason for me to really play, I liked the superstar ranking system because you get this excitement for moving up especially when you upgrade cards or get better with songs. And th card system, oh my God it is confusing. Now it functions the same but their last big update switched things around a bit. Cards are done in order like in superstar for your group but you legit cannot view them by newest so good luck trying to find the new cards you got. But to upgrade these rare voice cards, you are supposed to collect these mics and even If you get the materials, no guarantee you get that special rare card. Then there is this card collector progress system that Is confusing because despite I get new cards for said collection it doesn't go up so I am confused. The biggest con for me is they separated artist. Instead of keeping all of them like in superstar, to view others you have to go into settings and change your fav artist and I do like svt plus other hybe artist so I have to take more time to collect stuff for that artist one by one. It makes sense in theory if someone plays for one artist like svt but not so much for multifans. Now not all is bad. Superstar improved say getting icons. All you need is diamonds and viola, got a cool icon you like. Getting cards seems easier, upgrading seems easier. The gameplay is similar, some Beatmaps are identical to the bts one I played. They do get time to get used to but easy to hop on. The svt update brings in a new addition of a diary (?) So things may change.

ooh I appreciate your breakdown, I've been curious how rhythm hive stacks up to superstar, since I've only seen some bits and pieces of people talking about it. and I didn't really want to download the app until svt is actually added. i feel like difficulty is somewhat subjective so I feel like I'll just have to see myself if i like that aspect of it, but that's so dumb about the bots and the ranking :/ tbh if it's like that i'd almost rather not have a ranking system. i also really liked superstar's ranking, because it motivated me when i was playing it a lot. the only thing i didn't like about superstar's ranking system is if you didn't play it put you down a rank. I kind of wish superstar's system was more like duolingo's where if you log on and play but don't rank high enough, then you go down, but if you don't log on for that week then you just stay at the same rank. but i digress kdjfg

oh god, I was originally really confused about the cards in superstar when I first played it, if rhythm hive is even more confusing idk what I'll do 🤣

that's really interesting that they separated the artists like that. with any rhythm game there's going to be people playing it who are mostly interested in one artist and those who are interested in multiple. so from the developer's perspective you'd think they'd find a way to balance that, but it seems like they're just catering to people interested in one artist. superstar's setup seemed like more of a balance, I mean it definitely encouraged you to play the other artists with the missions, but if you were only there for one artist there was nothing stopping you from just playing that one artist. you'd also think rhythm hive being set up like that is to hybe's disadvantage. i feel like rhythm games are a great way for people to discover new music and artists under the same label, it's good for marketing if used right. like ssp was how i ended up listening to a lot of nu'est, after school, and orange caramel songs for the first time, and i started listening to their discographies a lot more after that. personally, i'm pretty much only interested in seventeen on rhythm hive for the time being, i might have played some txt songs too if they were more accessible, but it's not a huge turnoff for me. but it's definitely interesting to me that they did that bc it doesn't feel like they're catering to their full userbase that way

the update bringing a new feature is another good point, rhythm hive opened up what, last year? it's still a pretty new app and there may be updates in the future that fix some of the complaints. it's just annoying because... a lot of it is stuff that we already had with superstar. we had to wait a whole year almost after ssp shut down for svt to even be added and on top of that we have to wait and see if some of the features on the new app will be updated/improved. not to mention we don't know if/when other pledis artists will be added. anyway... i've said all this before, i don't need to keep running it to the ground dfjfg

Sweet MuMu adores video games where we can travel the world. Fantasy world, modern world, past, present, future, he don’t care! An open world game will suit him best! There’s so much to do, and like a lil puppy, MuMu want’s to explore it all!

Extra bonus points if there’s a part of the game where there is something to do with the ocean. He adores the sea after all! Boats, driving them, exploring the ocean, exploring the unknown, oh this TouDan will drink that shit up.

The games that come to mind are Assassin’s Creed: III, Black Flag, Syndicate, Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla. Why? Most of them deal with exploring new lands and some of them deal with piloting ships! III, Black Flag, Odyssey, Origins, Valhalla to be more specific. Syndicate has guns and classy fashion. A little too much for Mutsunokami but he loves playing with the guns in the game - they are very similar in make to his own after all. he also rly likes the sea shanties in odyssey because i rly like them too

If Mutsunokami wants to relax and not play Assassin’s Creed where he goes around stabbing everything that moves, he will play Subnautica or Abzu or Journey to relax. Maybe even Animal Crossing! He loves the cute little animals but I personally think that games where he can just explore the world and meet new people and learn lore just make him happy the most.

Games MuMu would never play are horror games or anything with spiders in them. So Bayonetta and Devil May Cry are out. He loves the idea of gun-toting protagonists but nope, nope. Spiders? Bye fam.

Now that I think about it, he would just be Blathers. He can play Animal Crossing but Gods help him the minute he sees a spider in that damn game. “I THOUGHT THIS WAS A PEACEFUL GAME, WHY ARE THE SPIDERS TRYING TO KILL YOU” cue controller thrown at the television.

Oh MuMu adores party games! Can’t play Smash Bros or Mario Kart for shit. Watch him pay too much attention to the background and yeet himself off of the stage because he saw something shiny. He can kinda play though, but again he gets distracted the most. Buuut ask him to play Mario Party with the rest of the swords and damn right he will play!

Can and will make video games turn into a drinking game. MuMu adores competitive gaming with the rest of the citadel. Will start taking bets on who is gonna win and lose, and sure he may be a pouty loser but he’ll be fiine. But damn right he’ll yeet a tantou to ensure his win. No he won’t he’s not that cruel.

Mutsunokami also adores rhythm games! Taiko no Tatsujin because of Don-chan and the idea of playing with a lil taiko drum as a controller. He’s very much into music after all. There are times when he stops playing a game to just listen to the music and take it all in!

A guilty pleasure game he plays is probably Ghost of Tsushima. No he’s not checking out Jin’s ass whenever they go to a hot spring, what are you talking about? MuMu enjoys it because sometimes just going back to your roots and stabbing a ho is just what you need. dear khotun khan, eat shit

Aizen Kunitoshi

Aizen is also super big on rhythm games. As said above with Mutsunokami, Taiko no Tatsujin will be a favorite of his. He has a secret collection of Don-chan merch, no one is stopping him damn it. Just fucking tRY and take away his precious Don-chan(s). The only ones that can touch his prized collection are the rest of the Rai swords, other peeps he is close to, and maybe you if you two are close/you ask nicely. Get him some Don-chan pajamas and he’ll cry.

Aizen is also pretty good at fighting games, Street Fighter coming to mind because he adores over the top bullshit and the colors! The colors! He mains Ryu though, but he’s more than willing to try new characters!

He’s also pretty competitive at times, so he would adore playing fighting games with the rest of the swords at the citadel. Hotarumaru and he are always playing Smash Bros or Mario Kart, which ends up with a lot of broken controllers. Hotaru has been slightly banned from planning highly competitive gameplay though.

Other games that I know Aizen will be into will be Animal Crossing when he wants to relax. He loves the little yearly festivals and events in the games and it kinda mirrors how life works in the world. Of course he adores Digby and Isabelle, and has threatened Tom Nook with Hotarumaru before. “Don’t you cheat me you stupid tanuki, don’t make me get my brother in here.”

Games that Aizen cannot play are puzzle games. He doesn’t mind them, he just finds them really boring. He watches Akashi play them sometimes but even then, Akashi will conk the hell out. If you play them and have Aizen on your lap watching, Aizen will be amazed at how you are so good at them!

Aizen cannot deal with horror games or sad emotional games. He’s pretty emotional himself and will need a lot of hugs after. He will refuse to play Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons as they remind him of Hotarumaru and himself a lil too much. Horror games is because he’s too scared to. Hotarumaru doesn’t mind them, he likes playing them while Aizen and Akashi cling on to each other and scream in terror.

Aizen also loves games that not only have great music but the visuals and colors just catch his eye. Katamari Damacy comes to mind and he loves the main character a lot. The music! The colors! Ohh man its the best.

A guilty pleasure game he would love is the monster catching genre, Pokemon is an idea but he also loves Yokai Watch. Yokai Watch feels a lil more closer to home, plus Yokai Watch had a crossover with Taiko no Tatsujin! He immediately wasted no time and effort to try and recruit Don-chan. iM STILL TRYING TO GET DON-CHAN ON MY TEAM U LIL SHIt but also im rly biased towards yokai watch and digimon

This lil guy will also love collecting plushies of any characters of the games he plays! Don-chan is his first choice of course but catch him and Hotarumaru in a little cuddle puddle with 70 other plushies from various games!

Most of all, Aizen loves games where he can play with others! Friends, family, you! It doesn’t matter to him! He’ll drag you from your office to relax and just cheer anyone up with something fun! “Come play with me! You promised after all, master! I’ve found a rEALLY cool and fun game to play together with Hotaru!” bless him he’s trying his best

Atsushi Toushirou

Like Aizen, Atsushi will mostly enjoy multiplayer games because of his multitudes of brothers, younger and older. He’ll pick out games like Mario Party, Mario Kart, classics for sure. But then there’s games like Wario Ware or Smash Bros. He wants to play games with as many people as possible! He loves it when he can play with you and his brothers!

If Atsushi wants to play something more solo, he will play something along the lines of Cooking Mama. Houchou got him addicted to it gee i wonder why Houchou loves the game so much but Atsushi just loves the dishes that he can prepare and it almost feels like he can cook! He once tried to follow exactly what Cooking Mama did in the game for cooking once uh...it did not end up. But none the less, he loves the colors and the music of Cooking Mama!

He is also a big ol fan of life simulation games, Animal Crossing being his favorite. Again he and his siblings can all play together and the calm atmosphere almost lulls him to a peaceful sort of sleep that he adores the most. He loves the relaxing vibe and sometimes wishes to live there, wherever the hell these guys live.

Next to Yagen, I think Atsushi will lowkey adore horror games. Yagen does it just to get a rise out of the rest of his siblings and Atsushi is kind of the same. Sure Yagen finds the most gorey and atmospheric based horror to scare the crap outta his siblings, Atsushi will probably play the more jumpscare based horror games just to get a scare outta them too! What good is a horror game if you’re not scared as well??? Damn right he’ll wait until it’s night time to play these games!

Atsushi also does love RPG games! Star Ocean, Final Fantasy, Legend of Zelda, come to mind first. He just loves going on big adventures! Exploring new worlds, meeting new people, learning new things! Bonus points if the game has a really emotional story, catch him and his brothers crying about whatever happens on screen.

Atsushi has a secret fondness for rather childish games. Pokemon, Yokai Watch, so on and so forth. YEs he’s trying his best to be mature and stuff, supporting you his saniwa and all, but sometimes he just wants to be himself and have fun! He has a few mascot plushies from his brothers too, shhh.

Atsushi is also terrifyingly amazing at turn-based strategy games. Mario + Rabbids being a favorite because of the colors and overall fun atmosphere. Fire Emblem is a close second. He knows exactly how to keep his units and characters alive, what upgrades to give them, so on and so forth. “General! Come look at what I did in my game! Wouldn’t it be cool if we could also do something like this?!” he says that as Rabbid Luigi yeets himself off of normal Mario and soars through the air like a bird, landing gracefully without hurting himself. Atsushi no.

He’s the most likely of the TouDans to get into the indie gaming scene, looking at new and upcoming content creators to see what they make! He wants to support them as much as he can!

He’s also one of the more responsible of the TouDans in terms of games. Others will start buying them on a whim but Atsu knows there’s a budget to be had! He isn’t as money crunching as Hakata or anything but he knows his damn limits!

Another game genre he’s secretly into are visual novels. He loves the budding relationships between characters, romantic or not, he loves seeing where they end up! It’s like he’s growing with them!

Mikasa and Levi took the spotlight this week! 30.1% of viewers felt most hyped up by Mikasa’s “explosive” reintroduction to the anime, while 22.6% were stoked to see Levi take on Porco to save Eren. 18.3% were most hyped by the Survey Corps taking on the Jaw Titan and the subsequent cliffhanger.

THE CGI CONTINUES TO BE A POINT OF CONTENTION. BE HONEST, HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THE EXECUTION OF CGI SO FAR THIS SEASON? 93 Responses

Just under 50% of responses seemed to indicate that they thought MAPPA was doing very well with the CGI utilized. A little over 15% stated that although it was not their favorite, they understood that it could be a lot worse. Other responses (in order) were being neutral about the CGI, not liking it, but understanding the need for its usage and folks who adamantly rejected 3D animation. 

I actually prefer CGI titans because of the way their movements looks, it looks almost slower, to me it fits very well with how the big titans are. Im not an anime guy at all so ive never seen cgi in other anime but i really like the way Mappa's CGI looks, it blends in very well. I dont like CGI people though, the shot with Jean throwing the marly soldier off the rooftop i didn't like very much.

I feel horrible saying this believe me... but I really vibed with the CGI up until this episode. I think maybe because it's the first time its been used on humans (OPM) rather then titans. I'm not massively put off though, I really apreciate the efforts this episode must have taken. TY Mappa

The episode is great no doubt, my only concern is the CG personally, as a 3D artist myself, I think I would prefer an all 2D medium like the battle at Stohess. Using 3D is fine as long as it blends seamlessly to the background, like kengan ashura, it's not perfect but bearable.

I honestly think that 2D will always 100% be better than cgi but I can understand why mappa is using cgi

It was fine in the other episodes, but in this episode, it looked overused and bit bad

In relation to the previous question, we still haven’t seen 3 major members of the cast. Armin, Hange and Historia. When we asked which of the three you were most looking forward to seeing next, the slight majority (52.7%) expressed their excitement for seeing Armin again, followed by 11.8% wanting to see Hange most. Some others have also expressed their desire to see Historia again. 17.2% simply could not choose and 10.8% stated that they simply didn’t care about the 3 characters.

WHAT DID YOU THINK ABOUT THE WARHAMMER TITAN? 90 Responses

The Warhammer received an overwhelmingly positive response, with the majority expressing much excitement over both its design and powers. 15.6% noted that the design was a bit too creepy for their liking, but the powers were awesome. And on the flip side, 10% noted the Titan’s design was rather cool, in contrast to its rather OP ability. A select few did not enjoy either aspect. 

Would probably enjoy it more if it belonged to someone that likely is not going to be just cannon fodder

HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THE NEW UNIFORMS? 92 Responses

The Survey Corps returned sporting new uniforms to much fanfare. 30.4% of respondents really enjoy the upgrade, finding the suits to be badass. 23.9% couldn’t find the words and just settled for pure hype. 20.7% enjoy the new uniforms just as much as they enjoy the classic uniforms. 12% felt it was a much needed upgrade, though 10.9% don’t care at all about the uniform change.

EREN SAYS TO MIKASA, “YOU GUYS ACTUALLY CAME.” THIS IS FOLLOWED UP BY MIKASA ASKING EREN TO COME HOME. DOES THIS INSINUATE THAT EREN WENT TO THE MAINLAND ON HIS OWN? 90 Responses

The circumstances of the Survey Corps’ presence on the mainland continues to be a mystery. When we asked about whether Eren was there alone or not a few episodes ago, the majority believed that he was either there alongside the Survey Corps or was sent there by them. Overall, the feelings seem to be the same (that Eren came alongside the Survey Corps). 45.6% think that Mikasa’s words may have some other meaning and that things are way too planned out to be coincidence. 18.9% believe that Eren did go rogue, while 15.6% think that Eren didn’t necessarily go rogue, but wasn’t working with them for a while either. The remaining 20% have already been spoiled on this particular plot point.

THE ATTACK ON LIBERIO SEEMS TO PARALLEL THE BREACH OF SHIGANSHINA. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THIS EVENT IN COMPARISON? 92 Responses

Now that both sides of the conflict have had their rude awakening, we asked how you guys felt about the two events comparatively. 33.7% feel that both attacks were tragic, but still feel more empathy toward the Eldians on Paradis than they do toward those who were raised on Marley. At a tie, 22.8% of respondents felt that the victims of the Liberio attack got what was coming with them, while another 22.8% felt about the same amount of sympathy for the victims on both sides. 10.9% feel this is way worse than what happened in Shiganshina and feel more sympathy for the victims in Liberio. 

I am yet to know the goals behind this attack.

Marley did this countless times so I don’t feel bad for them. I kind of feel for eldians tho bc they are brainwashed from a young age to give up their lives for a country who doesn’t give a shit about them. 

Honestly they deserve what Eren is doing to them. Excluding Falco, no one outside of Paradis has earned my sympathy, even with the additional context.

SADLY, UDO AND ZOFIA DID NOT SURVIVE THE ATTACK ON LIBERIO. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THEIR DEATHS? 91 Responses

Udo and Zofia have joined the ranks of characters who tagged along with the main cast for a while only to be killed off for character development. 25.3% anticipated at least one of them to die, but not both. Another tie on this poll, 24.2% stated that they were disappointed and was hoping to see more of them, while another 24.2% didn’t care about them at all. 14.3% are happy to ditch the focus on them in favor of more familiar characters, and 8.8% feel pure and utter devastation.

Eren and Floch were anything but BFF’s at the closing of season 3. Now Floch seems to be wholly devoted to Eren’s cause… What changed? 28.6% believe that nothing has actually changed in terms of their relationship, but that Floch simply just latched onto Eren’s fight in need of a new devil. 23.1% feel that they still aren’t friends, but are in more comfortable “ally” territory. 15.4% aren’t sure what to make of it. Smaller handfuls feel that they either grew to become friends and/or co-conspired to attack Liberio together. 22% are already spoiled on the details.

Gabi moves headstrong into the fight, wanting to play her part in defending her hometown. A large chunk of anime only viewers have been spoiled on future developments for her character. But for those still in the dark - 24.4% feel that she will successfully kill a member of the Survey Corps. 21.1% aren’t sure what to expect, while 10% think she will only manage to injure someone in the Survey Corps. Smaller amounts feel she won’t be successful in any capacity or may even die herself.

ADDITIONAL THOUGHTS ON THE EPISODE?

Epic episode, survey corps come back, OH YEAH, but I wished they didn’t use CGI on humans and bettered the CGI on Titans.

It really makes me sad how Eren is continuing the cycle of revenge by killing innocent Marleyan civilians, but it makes sense for his character.

I think I need more dialogue between the old crew to really settle back in with them. I kinda believe that Mappa's still trying to 'click', they obviously can't just get it right immediately. Other then that I loved the titan scenes, more than ODM scenes 😔

This was a great episode and I was literally vibrating in my seat from excitement! I think MAPPA is doing a great job with the animation and the music works really well with the action. Can’t wait for the rest of the season!

oh man i can never decide- even tho they’re the same series they give off vastly different vibes-

i really like the retro feel of half life 1 games, being released in ‘98 and all- theres also like potential for some of the protags (namely gina and colette god DAMN im salty its not for pc or included in the steam bundle)

they got potential to maybe...make a return somewhere if/when they wrap up half life for good (adrian pls come home). like y’know tying some lose ends than just one-off if that makes sense? if not thats okay too, theres always fanon

despite the rescas happening in hl1 theres still like? a sense of normalcy and stability somewhere. civilization still exists. you get to see gordons dorm room in hl decay. you get to see some of the security guards kinda chill in blue shift and even help you out in opposing force. you can do dumb shit like explode the microwave casserole

despite the background stuff in hl1 its also...very very lonely. the npcs dont follow far enough for you to save them and xen feels like a fever paranoia dream with all the dead hev scientists strewn everywhere

gameplay-wise its also nice to freely move around in cutscenes. adhd mood of moving around while scientist npcs are talking

i found half life 1 games surprisingly hard?? the use key is also kinda broken for me and oh my god i struggled a lot with the maps and fights ksjfnsdkfj

half life 2 on the other hand...holy FUCK the graphics are obviously better etc. etc. etc.

but there is still hope with the resistance. theyre your family and home now and its better than being alone
