you know, sometimes I forget that Twst is actually an isekai that starts with the protagonist getting run over by an inexplicable horse-drawn carriage. and every time I'm reminded is a delight because that's AMAZING.

also. look. okay. there's a lot of very fun stuff in the trailer but I am obsessed with that Crowley surprised pikachu face. me when I spend all my keys and gems literally hours before they announce overblot SSRs and drop the anime trailer:

#twisted wonderland #twst anime #<- gonna use that for anime stuff in case anyone wishes to filter it #this is the point where i once again have to admit that i have not really read the manga #(i've liked what i've seen but it's very hard for me to keep up with stuff a lot of the time)#(the anime may actually be easier for me to absorb it in :')#god i GOTTA draw the manga yuus #i kept meaning to when yuuna got revealed but i didn't get around to it before 7-13 ate my brain 😭#anyway the bits they chose for the trailer are pretty interesting to me!#like i think chances are good it was mostly from that one sequence because given the timeline #they probably don't have a ton of 100% finished post-comp footage yet so they probably just took what they have #but also i'm thinking back to how deliberately vague all the game promo stuff was #and...okay again i don't really know how they did it in the manga but i am reminded of how overblotting was actually like. a twist.#a twst twist #like we were introduced to it in the prologue with the mine phantom #but riddle's overblot was an actual SURPRISE and like. an instant reveal that okay THIS is what the story's gonna be about #so i'm just kinda wondering if the anime promos might also like...actively try not to spoil everything #or if they're gonna go full anime-intro 'here's all the super spoilery scenes you can expect to see :)'#basically is the marketing gonna skew towards new viewers or established fans. both valid i'm just curious!#also excuse me for a moment as i reveal myself as a hugely pretentious snob but #oh my god the backgrounds actually have some texture and shape and are taking style cues from the game backgrounds #oh my god the castle exterior actually looks illustrative and fantastic and isn't just a 3d model they plopped in #it's hard to tell at this point how consistent that'll be since most of the trailer is in the mirror chamber #but i'm just SO happy to see it! hopefully this means they weren't crunched to fuck and are able to really go ham #(the pre-isekai scenes all look more generic modern anime so like...is that a conscious artistic choice they made)#(because that would be incredible. holy shit.)

"Katara has no sense of humor."

Katara, ironically, has a dry sense of humor. Just because it gets overshadowed by Sokka's funny antics and Toph's witty one liners doesn't mean she doesn't have one at all. Throughout the whole first season, she is constantly teasing and making fun of Sokka in a light hearted and loving way. In fact, one of the funniest lines in the show (in my opinion) comes from Katara when they were first visiting Omashu.

Aang, Katara, and Sokka trying to figure out Bumi's name. Sokka: I got it! Aang: Yeah? Sokka: He's an earthbender, right? Rocky! [man coughs] Sokka: You know, because of all the rocks Katara: We're gonna keep trying, but that is a good backup.

That line never fails to get a full belly laugh from me. Mae Whitman's delivery of that line is just sheer perfection lol

And when Zuko joins the group, he becomes the target for her teasing.

After Zuko utterly fails at telling Uncle Iroh's tea joke. Zuko: Well, it's funnier when Uncle tells it. Katara: Right. Maybe because he remembers the whole thing. [Everyone laughs]

Katara does have a sense of humor. It's just a little dry. So can we as a fandom stop pretending that she doesn't?

P.S. I don't care that her supposed "lack of humor" was lampshaded in 'Sokka's Master,' that was one episode, and it was wrong anyway. God as much as I like Book 3 I also hate it.

There's a disabled angel in good omens 🥺

#listen im only in episode two and i know there's some drama going down but im focusing on this lol #i love that not only do they show the angel using a wheelchair and being ambulatory #but they also visibly show them miracling innaccessibility issues so that they Can still use the chair #instead of just getting rid of the disability #part of my is conflicted bc im like... there's disabilities in heaven? and that makes Me sad bc my disability is hell and painful as fuck #But getting rid of disability in fantasy is eugenist crap and showing that god made a disabled angel is a net good thing #while it personally makes me sad to think if there was a heaven i could still be in pain all the time #not all disabilites are bad and need to be cured we're a wide spectrum and we've been fighting for disabled rep esp in fantasy for ages #it's objectively good my personal feelings about my own disability aside #part of me thinks it's cliche to say 'you were made perfect' bc they're an angel But it's not we literally havent had this type of rep lol #anyways it made me happy to see #and im so glad it's a power chair user that's ambulatory it's important for abled ppl to see that #anyways y'all keep your drama and spoilers off my post im not far in and im only talking about this shoo #oh also!! love the fantasy hover chair they use in heaven specifically too i wish we had that it kicks ass #p

When playing veilguard I though I sort of liked it while playing, maybe a 6/10. But the longer it's been the more I actively dislike it? I don't even really know why exactly but there was barely anything memorable. It's just fodder to me. No replay value at all. I've put over 300 hours in it trying to make the game different but even without the da keep it's just so limiting. Nothing matters. Looking back on it I'd have to adjust my score to a 3/10. Doesn't help that I find Rook the most insufferable protag I ever had the displeasure of playing as. What a shallow unfunny child. I don't I'll ever play a new bioware game again.

agreed instead of marinating in my brain like a juicy, complexly flavored steak (or tofu) that truly ripens and deepens with time, it has rotted and soured the longer it sits. the artbook showing us what could have been didnt help
