Hi. I quite like the changes to the original Lloyd Frontera, which are a bit different from the novel. And I felt like there were two panels that I thought would be a good opportunity to ask other people what they think. So, what do you think about these two panels?

Oh and yes, what do you think webcomic! Javier will be like in the next episode? He now knew that Kim Suho was the fake Lloyd Frontera (I really don't like this change,) and from the look he had after knowing that the other voice talking to Kim Suho was the real Lloyd Frontera's, I have a really bad feeling about this. Is there a possibility that they will make Javier a meanie?

honestly. best two panels of the entire episode i'm not gonna lie. i am always down for getting more lloyd&arcos&marbella hugs and i know we already saw this one but it's from another angle so i'm counting it.

and it's a perfect adaptation of that very heartbreaking moment in og lloyd's internal monologue. not much i can say i think it was a great moment!

it is sad and heartbreaking and completely justified. arcos and marbella aren't happy here because they think their son has been replaced by a stranger, they're happy because they think their son has turned a new leaf and stopped destroying himself and others.

the webcomic apparently didn't do a great job at making this clear, but the issue with og lloyd wasn't a simple matter of him being annoying, or lazy or even him being alcoholic. he was being genuinely harmful to the people around him, he was violent and abusive and he didn't want to change. he had plenty of chances to be, if not amazing, then at least decent. hell, him just doing nothing would've been a step up from where he was.

but no, he was angry at being born in the middle of nowhere and decided to take it out on everyone around him. nevermind that he was a noble, heir to a estate, with plenty of chances to make something of himself if he so wanted to.

that's something ep 115 did pretty well actually, made it very clear that it wasn't about skills or talent or opportunities. it was very much down to what they did with what they were given. and og lloyd didn't do anything with what he had.

god what a great moment i wish we could get this level of quality and seriousness every chapter

but yeah! i think the beginning of this episode was amazing and very well adapted. i have my doubts about the grim reapers cause,,, those aren't in the webnovel and i'm always a bit wary of just throwing stuff at the already shaky worldbuilding of tged but like. who cares at this point akjshdka

as for what they're planning with javier. i have no fucking idea. i don't know what's their plan with him. his whole deal after the reveal in hell completely depends on him not telling lloyd he knows and initially being conflicted about trusting lloyd after figuring out he's a fake but,,,, well, that doesn't apply to the webcomic anymore. so we're officially on uncharted waters. don't like that <3

it would be really silly of them to make javier suddenly have an issue about it when they already made him not give a shit a couple chapters ago. it would make no sense from a character standpoint and it'd be just,,, tedious to see him go back and forth on a topic he'd already reached a conclusion about. so i doubt they'll go that route but also. i have no high hopes about lee hyunmin's ability for good character writing lmaoooo

Journey to the center of B-Low’s Letterboxd

Ok so... over the last 8 months or so, I’ve watched every film available on B-Low’s Letterboxd. Partially because I’m deeply Helly R/B-Low-pilled… and partially because I love watching movies, especially random low-budget/indie movies. Referring to the actress in question as B-Low so this doesn't show up in the tag LMAOOOO can u imagine? nightmare. nightmare. This is not a ranking of most to least favorite – each film was rated in 3 categories with a total possible 13 points. The categories were:

1. SWELL 2016 star rating: 2.5/5 • b-level: 3/3 • wildcard (finger tattoos): 5/5 • Total: 10.5/13 Verrry funny this ended up at #1. SWELL is a funny stylish short film that feels like if a Black Mirror episode didn't take itself so fucking seriously! Imagine a world in which theater exercises are real... B-LOW WITH FINGER TATS. 2. Mr. Roosevelt 2017 star rating: 3/5 • b-level: 2/3 • wildcard (shot on film and lols): 4/5 • Total: 9/13 Tied for 2nd place points-wise with Circus Person. I’m surprised this didn't end up at #1 because it’s definitely my favorite feature on this list. Very sweet and funny and gorgeous to look at! On Netflix now, but i think i had to rent this 1 originally lol 3. Circus Person 2020 star rating: 2.5/5 • b-level: 3/3 • wildcard (rip my heart out): 3/5 • Total: 9/13 B-Low’s own short film! Feel weird rating this at all because it just feels so uhhh earnest and like... raw! But it is gorgeous and fun and one day I want to make an edit for it to 'Ladies' by Fiona Apple. iykyk. 4. Staycation 2018 star rating: 2.5/5 • b-level: 3/3 • wildcard (mega cutie-ness): 3/5 • Total: 8.5/13 A short film that was extremely heartwarming and legitimately hilarious. Highly recommend for any B-Low-Heads out there. Free on vimeo c:

5. Holly Slept Over 2020 star rating: 1.5/5 • b-level: 3/3 • wildcard (GAYYYYYY): 4/5 • Total: 8.5/13 God, This movie was strange. Interesting set-up but concluded in what felt like pure wish fulfillment for... only the middle aged rich white dudes watching? Good for them I guess! The 3 women in the film were the only highlights for me (big surprise!). There is a guy who is inexplicably porn brained and weird about it, which turns out to be a recurring theme for male side-characters on this list. Yay. Had to rent it on youtube, rip.

6. The Shadow Hours 2016 star rating: 1/5 • b-level: 2/3 • wildcard (camp realness): 5/5 • Total: 8.5/13 One of the lowest 'is it good'-wise but truly one of my favorites on this list. I don’t want to say too much, just please watch this film, it’s short and very fun. It is an ACTION flick. It’s a tonal roller coaster, one minute we’re joking around and the next B-Low's character gets thrown through a glass table... like did she do that stunt i need to know. Anyway. It is free on Youtube.

7. Beside Still Waters 2013 star rating: 2/5 • b-level: 2/3 • wildcard (great cast): 3.5/5 • Total: 7.5/13 Strong ensemble of white folks being witty and sad, a conclusion that was almost too sweet – but it looked great, had a super fun cast and a pretty fun script. A very tolerable movie c: Free on Tubi.

8. Domain 2016 star rating: 1/5 • b-level: 3/3 • wildcard (jerkin-it to completion): 3/5 • Total: 7.5/13 A sci-fi feature that took itself very very seriously! Sometimes that seriousness paid off (there were some very cool shots and twists), but they decided to make the dude from the 2001 DCOM Luck of the Irish jerk-it to completion which kinda took me out of it. Tongue Tied // Louis’ new bestie placed a hand on his shoulder; he turned with a sway and looked into his blue eyes. ”What do you wish?” / The world spun for a moment, and Louis shrugged. It was easy. The only thing he wanted. “I wish that I could tell Harry that I love him, instead of getting all tongue tied and chickening out.” / The Irishman winked. “You never know, your wish may just come true.” / “From your lips to God’s ears, mate.” He gave the man a hug. “I gotta go before my Uber leaves me.” / He stumbled to the door, and that was the last thing he remembered from the night. ‘tis the damn season // Harry returns to her small hometown over the holiday season and starts to think about the road not taken.

Work you are most proud of (and why): ‘tis the damn season because I have always said that there was absolutely no way I could write an advent fic day by day. And yet, when Nov 30th came around and I only had two chapters, my fomo won over my fear of failure and I thought I’d give it a try, because the worst that would happen is that I wouldn’t finish it, which would’ve been fine! But then with the help of everyone who read along, I actually did it! 

A favorite excerpt of your writing: unlike most years, when I quickly scrolled through my works, nothing specific jumped out, so I’ll just say that I really liked how ch 6 rolled into ch 7 in ‘tis the damn season!

A time when writing was really, really hard: oh boy. Okay. so if you go back and read my 2022 recap, and 2021, you’ll see that writing has consistently been hard for me for a few years. So, this year I told myself not to worry about it, that I could not write a single thing and not feel bad about it. I didn’t do a ton of writing this year, but having the internal pressure off sure helped. Even though I really miss the way it used to be. 

A scene or character you wrote that surprised you: I’ll say Zayn in ‘tis the damn season, because I didn’t have a role for her when I started, and I really liked her as minor threat slash Louis’ bff and sometimes hookup. I want someone to write a story in her pov. lmaoooo How did you grow as a writer this year: I really tried to get rid of my perfectionist tendencies and tried to write without putting pressure on myself. 

How do you hope to grow next year: i dont even know, tbh. I’ll be very happy if I match my 2023 fic count. 

Who was your greatest positive influence this year as a writer (could be another writer or beta or cheerleader or muse etc etc): I adore everything that @disgruntledkittenface put out this year. The way she keeps pushing herself is really inspiring.

Anything from your real life show up in your writing this year: ummm, I guess the ‘moving back home thing’... idk. Nothing i wrote this year hit particularly close to home. 

Any new wisdom you can share with other writers: i love you. please keep going!

Cruel Summer: Was there anything that stopped you from shipping with your f/o at first or was it love at first sight? Are things more complicated than they appear?

> FUN FACT: i remember watching the s1 finale for the first time and when kendall was going through it for a second i was like "hm. that's awful. that's so good. maybe he will be my guy...." which IS WILD. HE WAS NOT MY GUY.

i'd found tom handsome and interesting as a character but like, he didn't really become important to me until like. season 2 finale. i recall very vividly suddenly feeling Something over his struggles, and it kinda brought him to my mental spotlight so to speak. and then i started to look out for him and it kinda spiraled from there... so it wasn't love at first sight, i think that i had to see his development and the way the story and events began to affect him to start catching feelings. and it caused it to be a bit of a slow burn to me (if you can count a WEEK-ISH a slow burn LMAOOOO). but once he stepped into my noggin he has not left since <3

The Man: What strengthens your f/o in your opinion? What do they believe strengthens you?

> i'd call it his adaptability. being able to take blows while pretending that things don't faze you and fawning and groveling but also holding all the grudges and shittalking when the others aren't around. i love that one description of him that is something like "he's adapted himself to the conditions perfectly" and i'm just like. yeah....... i know..... :') like that is such a "good" skill (as in i wish it wasn't good but it totally is), i relate to it A LOT and i feel like it really carries him.

as for me, sort of a total opposite, he thinks what strengthens me are my sincerity and that certain kind of earnestness i just CANNOT stop expressing no matter how hard i try to appear nonchalant. i have strong emotions about things and more often than not i will make that clear. often it also means i'm very dead-set on things and my opinion cannot be very easily changed. but he thinks that it's really admirable.

Death By A Thousand Cuts: How do you and your f/o handle bad times/how are you there for each other when life gets rough?

> i'd say prior to the cruise drama, we would seek out reassurance but without really getting too deeply into what it is that is bothering us. we would be there for the other physically, maybe say some generic reassuring BUT still sincere things. it wouldn't really be until we have to sit down and talk everything out around s3 that we would dare to like. properly express our worries and truly tell the other what's actually the problem. no longer hiding the real issue. we'd become more honest and communicate much better. i think the biggest thing that'd help us would be to just. unconditionally accept the other's thoughts and feelings and not judge them. making each other feel safe without the fear of a negative reaction or a downplay of the other's emotions. little things like that <3 and handling the humiliation of being vulnerable by being vulnerable together, an even exchange if you will....

False God: Do you think of you and your f/o as soulmates? Why or why not?

> secretly, YES. not sure we'd ever admit it to each other because while we are silly romantics, that might be A BIT too much. especially on my end, i wouldn't dare to say it out loud. but we'd both have moments where we'd realise we're totally meant for each other on a soulmate kinda level <3333

Friends to Lovers / mutual pining with Skip Muck x Reader…

Ok first of all this guy is a literal ray of sunshine, so I think he’d easily make friends with everybody who is anybody. He has no issues forming friendships- and I read somewhere that EVERYBODY LOVED Skip and still missed him 60 years on after his passing. This shows what kinda guy he was- a literal Angel.

So anyway, let’s say you’re in Toccoa together, maybe it takes a while for the two of you to talk/ acknowledge one another due to the lack of weekend passes- but maybe you’re both staying in Georgia and a couple of you head out to a bar.

I feel like one of the other men, maybe Liebgott or Malarkey would ask you to join them in a bar- and you all oblige. That’s when you get sat across from Skip!

I think the feelings would be mutual immediately? Or at least there’s the initial attraction there- the conversation between you both would be so energetic, it would be hard for anybody to catch up or join in half way.

Skip by the end of the night would definitely be thinking ‘oh my god who is this literal Angel, she is fucking perfect for me’.

but of course fraternising isn’t allowed in the army, but before all that, Skip doesn’t think you see him that way!! Of course he thinks you’re stunning and beautiful, but almost a little too good for him?! Something heartbreaking like that- and maybe you just think he’s being chatty and friendly, the way he is with everybody else.

anyway, there’s no indicator to either of you that you both felt that initial attraction, however, the pure excitement you both feel to see each other again is unreal.

I feel like Skip would (not so subtly) ask Penkala questions about you- to which he doesn’t have a clue cos he just met you too, duh. But then he kinda gets loud mouth Luz involved who tells other people, and then a weird rumour would probably spread about you that you’re already married or some shit.

You’re not, obviously, but this is just another reason why Skip remains completely friendly with you, and doesn’t pursue anything else? I think this is a real ‘indicator’ for you that he just wants to be your friend. So you’d just kinda sit and go along with it.

I feel like Luz or Guarnere would bring up your husband one day and your nose would scrunch as you fired back immediately. “What husband?” “Ya know, the one you’ve been married to for the past six years.” “first of all I’m only 21, second of all I literally don’t even have a boyfriend, never mind a husband!!!”

Penkala nudges Skip not so discreetly, as if to say ‘you’re in buddy!’

“So… you’re not married?” Skip, dumbfounded, asks. I feel like you’d most definitely blush a scarlet red colour out of slight embarrassment about the rumour, and to think Skip thought you were married and off the market?! That made you panic!

the men become way more flirty with you when they realise you’re not a taken lady. (Not that it stopped some of them before lmaoooo).

“It makes me feel so embarrassed, ya’know. Getting hit on in front of all my friends. I wish they’d lay off it for a while.” One day you and Skip are walking let’s say back from the pub together, or through Toccoa. You’re explaining to him about how sick of the flirting you are.

Skip wishes they’d lay off it too. “Well you’re a pretty girl, you know. They’re probably just dying for a chance with you.” The words slip out of his mouth quicker than he realises.

I feel like both your eyes would go wide and you’d both start blushing and stammering. That’s the first time the two of you get an inkling that the feeling of your friendship being something more might exist.

even though there’s the prospect of you two being together, I think the both of you are kinda worried that it wouldn’t be true thag you both have the same feelings- or you’re worried about ruining what you already have.

at some point in the friendship I think you both become comfortable becoming more touchy feely? I’m talking about hugs, grabbing each others hands, hands on each others backs. Or maybe you’re just moving Skip’s hair out of his face and suddenly you’d realise fuck fuck fuck you’re in love with him.

There’s no specific moment when you both remember being in love- it’s a culmination of things over time, and with the dangers of war, all your feelings are intensified and the longing for one another grows.

Big time jump to Bastogne, Skip has a narrow escape with his foxhole being bombed out- and you watch the whole thing.

Let’s say you’re on your way out to help somebody when you see your life flash in front of your eyes. I think you’d yell out his name in horror, and stunned by what had happened, Skip races over to you but only to make sure you’re okay.

there’s hot tears streaming down your face and Skip has never seen you cry before, he can’t stand it- it absolutely breaks his heart. He’s never felt so much adrenaline rushing through his body before, so when your hand is cupped over his face you just KISS.

Neither of you break apart to question wtf just happened, because oh my god it’s been such a long time coming- and just feels so right.

the concept of losing one another is beyond thinkable and too painful. You two are so deeply in love and Skip decides there’s absolutely nothing to stop the two of you being together now.

your feelings are out in the open, thank god, and you’re still each others best friends- yet the two of you are so in love and honestly just the happiest couple going.

without one another neither of you could’ve made it, you’d really be each others rocks, and Skip would still sit and question how the hell the two of you are finally together.
