Backstage before the show was chaos—lights flickered, guitar techs ran back and forth, and the band was doing their last-minute warm-ups. But to Luke Castellan, none of it mattered. The second he caught sight of you leaning against the far wall, his focus shifted entirely.

You were scrolling through your phone, absentmindedly nibbling on your lower lip, completely unaware of the effect you had on him. He crossed the room in a few long strides, guitar slung low on his back, his presence impossible to ignore as he stopped right in front of you.

“Hey, beautiful,” he said, leaning his forearm against the wall above your head, his voice low and smooth. “Waiting on someone?”

You raised an eyebrow, fighting back a grin. “Maybe. He’s tall, handsome, plays guitar, thinks he’s a rock god…”

Luke smirked, leaning in a little closer so his breath brushed your ear. “Thinks?” His tone was teasing, but his hand slid to your waist, fingers grazing bare skin where your shirt had ridden up slightly. “Pretty sure I proved that last night.”

Your cheeks burned as you swatted his chest. “You’re impossible.”

“And you love it,” he countered, his lips tugging into a grin as he straightened up. His blue eyes raked over you shamelessly, lingering on your outfit—a fitted top and a skirt that, from the way his gaze darkened, was clearly having an effect. “Damn, baby. You trying to distract me before I even get on stage?”

You tilted your head, feigning innocence. “Who, me? I thought you were unshakable, rock star."

He laughed, leaning in again so his lips were dangerously close to yours. “Oh, I’m unshakable, all right. But you?” His voice dropped lower, rougher. “You make it real hard to focus, sweetheart.”

Your breath hitched, but before you could respond, someone called from the door, “Two minutes, Castellan!”

Luke groaned, dragging a hand through his hair. “Timing is everything, huh?” He turned back to you, his hands finding your hips as he pulled you closer. “Don’t move. I’m gonna make this quick.”

“Luke, what are you—” you started, but his lips crashed into yours before you could finish. The kiss was hot, demanding, and filled with enough heat to make your knees wobble. His fingers dug into your waist, pulling you flush against him as he deepened it, leaving you breathless by the time he pulled away.

“Just needed a little extra motivation,” he murmured against your lips, his voice a low growl. “Now, you’re gonna sit front and center, yeah? I want to see you.”

Your heart was racing as you nodded, still dazed. “Yeah. I’ll be there.”

“Good.” He grinned, planting a quick kiss on your forehead before slinging his guitar strap over his shoulder and heading out. “Don’t go anywhere, baby. Tonight’s gonna be all about you.”

The moment Luke hit the stage, he transformed. The crowd went wild as he stepped into the spotlight, his confidence radiating like a force field. His fingers flew over the guitar strings, and his voice poured into the mic, rough and full of emotion. But no matter how many screaming fans were out there, his eyes always seemed to find you.

You watched, spellbound, as he worked the crowd. He was magnetic, every move dripping with charisma, but there was a slight smirk every time he caught your eye, as if reminding you that this—this performance, this energy—was for you.

Between songs, he grabbed the mic stand, smirking as he leaned into it. “You guys having a good time tonight?” he asked, his voice smooth and teasing. The crowd erupted into cheers, but his gaze flicked to you again. “Yeah, me too. But honestly? There’s only one person I’m really trying to impress.”

The crowd followed his gaze, and your stomach flipped as thousands of eyes landed on you. Your cheeks flushed as Luke grinned, clearly reveling in your reaction.

“She’s right there,” he said, pointing you out. “And damn, isn’t she stunning?”

The audience roared, wolf-whistling and clapping as you buried your face in your hands. When you peeked out, Luke was laughing, his expression soft and full of affection. “What can I say? She’s the reason I do this. Give her some love, huh?”

The crowd erupted again, and Luke turned back to you, mouthing, I love you before launching into a slow, sultry riff that melted into the next song.

Backstage after the show, the energy was still buzzing. Luke barely let the door close behind him before he was on you, pressing you against the nearest wall with a hunger that made your head spin.

“You’re insane,” you managed, though your voice was breathy and your hands were already sliding up his chest.

“Maybe,” he murmured, his lips brushing over your jaw as his hands gripped your waist, pulling you flush against him. “But you drive me crazy, baby. Couldn’t stop thinking about you all night.”

He tilted your chin up, capturing your lips in a kiss that was slow and heated, his body pressing you further into the wall. Your fingers tangled in his hair, and he groaned softly against your mouth, the sound sending a shiver down your spine.

“Luke,” you whispered, his name falling from your lips like a prayer.

“Hm?” His hands roamed lower, slipping under the hem of your shirt as his mouth moved to your neck, placing open-mouthed kisses along your skin. “You gotta tell me to stop, baby. Otherwise, I’m not letting you out of here.”

Your breath hitched as his teeth grazed the sensitive spot just below your ear. “What if I don’t want you to stop?” you asked, your voice barely above a whisper.

He froze for half a second before letting out a low chuckle, his lips ghosting over your ear. “Careful, sweetheart. You’re playing with fire.”

“Maybe I like the heat,” you shot back, your tone bold but your heart racing.

Luke grinned against your skin, his hands sliding lower to grip your thighs, lifting you slightly as he pressed himself further against you. “Then I guess I’ll just have to burn with you,” he murmured, his voice rough and full of promise.

Then luke’s hands were everywhere—on your hips, sliding under the hem of your shirt, gripping your waist like he couldn’t stand a second without touching you. His lips moved against yours with heated urgency, and every time you tried to catch your breath, he’d tilt your chin up, recapturing your mouth like he wasn’t done proving a point.

“Luke—” you gasped, barely getting his name out before his lips trailed down your jaw to your neck, his stubble grazing your skin and sending a shiver down your spine. He hummed low in his throat, his hands gripping your hips tighter.

“Hmm?” he teased, kissing the spot just below your ear before sucking gently. “Something you wanted to say, baby?”

His voice was smug, low, and rough, and it made your head spin. “Y-You’re leaving marks,” you managed, though your voice came out soft and breathless.

“Good,” he murmured, pulling back just enough to meet your eyes. His grin was devastatingly cocky. “Let everyone know you’re mine.”

Before you could reply, his mouth was on you again, kissing along your collarbone and trailing lower. Each kiss was slower, hotter, his teeth grazing your skin occasionally in a way that made you squirm against him.

“Luke…” Your voice was barely above a whimper, and his grin grew wider against your skin.

“Yeah, sweetheart?” he drawled, nipping at your neck before soothing the spot with his tongue. “You sound so sweet when you say my name like that.”

You let out a shaky breath, your fingers threading into his hair and tugging lightly. He groaned softly, the sound vibrating against your skin, and it sent a rush of heat straight through you.

“Luke, you’re—” you tried, but another kiss to your throat cut you off.

“Careful, baby,” he murmured, his lips moving to the curve of your shoulder as his fingers slid higher, brushing under your shirt. “Keep saying my name like that, and I might not stop.”

You let out a frustrated whine, tugging him back up so you could meet his gaze. His hair was a mess from your fingers, his lips were red and swollen, and that smug grin was still firmly in place.

“You’re impossible,” you breathed, though your voice was shaky, your body betraying you by leaning into him.

“And you’re gorgeous,” he shot back, his tone thick with affection. His hand slid up to cup your cheek, his thumb brushing over your flushed skin as his eyes roamed over you. “But you’ve gotta stop looking at me like that, baby. You’re killing me.”

“Me?” you asked, incredulous. “You’re the one—”

Luke cut you off with another kiss, this one slower, deeper, and more intoxicating than the last. His teeth tugged lightly on your bottom lip before pulling back just enough to rest his forehead against yours, his breath warm against your face.

“Let’s get out of here,” he murmured, his voice rough and dripping with promise. “I’m not done with you yet.”
