reminder extremely tough and maybe a little harsh.

a lot of folks gotta work themselves to death just to have a halfway comfortable life, some don't even have the basics. many will have to do crazy stuff for money and others dream of giving their loved ones a good life but can't. some will only be able to see luxurious lifestyles on phone screens or in other people's TikTok accounts. and others don't even have the money to pay for internet to see that.

lots of people will spend years hating themselves, hating their appearance, personality, social life, social status, skills, everything about themselves. many live with insecurities, feeling like a supporting character in their own story, some have things that bother them but it's "impossible" to change them so they'll just have to live with it. others spend a fortune on surgeries or treatments to change something about themselves, and many die because of it.

many people will have to live trying to recover from traumas and bad things that hit them, without knowing how to simply erase them from their lives, and unfortunately, some prefer to end their own lives so they don't have to live with those burdens.

many people will have to face horrible diseases, some they simply can't get rid of and others that are incurable. suffering, waiting for a miracle to free them from this torture.

some folks may never achieve their personal goals and dreams, out of fear, lack of opportunity, lack of means, or because they think it's impossible for them. so consequently they will have to surrender to a mediocre life that they hate.

many people will have to spend years in shitty relationships without knowing how to get out, others will see the love of their life being happy with someone else, others will think that love only serves to deeply hurt them, and others will accept horrible things from their partners because they think they don't deserve anything better.

a lot of folks unfortunately live out there lonely, without love, without a good social circle, without friends, with an abusive family, with people who don't want the best for them, with people who only hurt them and make them think that's what they deserve.

you might think I'm a jerk for talking about such harsh examples and I'm sorry if I hurt anyone, but damn..

all these examples I mentioned are really sad and they leave us with a heavy heart thinking that a lot of people go through this. I think everyone deserves a dignified and happy life, you deserve a dignified and happy life. you don't deserve to be like those people in the examples I mentioned, and you're not. because you have a key in your hands. it's like life is a damn game and you have all the hacks and cheats to simply WIN and do whatever you want, while other people don't even dream of that or are too skeptical to try.

but you know what's funniest about this? it's that this shit ain't just any game, it's your life. it's literally your damn life and you're there playing with the law? saying "oh I can't" "oh persisting is too hard" "I think I'll never have my desires".

the LOA community is very small, discovering about it was extremely lucky. so tell me a good reason why you know about it and simply can't manifest? exactly. there isn't one! you can and you should.

I'm not here to judge your difficulties in manifesting (even if I judge everything and everyone), because having difficulties and keep trying is one thing and simply giving up and saying "I can't manifest" is another.

i suffered a lot in life, i hope one day i have the courage to tell you about my success here. and I simply don't know what I would do without finding out about LOA, just thinking about it fills my heart with gratitude. I feel like a winner. you deserve to feel this peace of having won too.

Reading SVSSS: Bonus- Chapter 24

For those who don't know, I am reading SVSSS for the first time and sharing my thoughts!

If you have not read it, there will be spoilers! Consider this a warning.

This was a two part-two tea read LOL. I started this chapter right before my union meeting with a vanilla chai tea and now i'm ending it after the meeting with a chamomile lavender tea.

I finally feel like i'm coming out of my sick haze and hoping these flowers will knock me out tonight.

Let's get into the saddest fucking chapter I have read in a while- Bonus 24:

Shen Jiu breaks my heart. I hate it so much that all of the kids that were trafficked were given numbers for names. Like these kids probably had actual names but no one knows them. p81

I totally forgot until now that Yue Qingyuan was also one of the kids. I can already tell this chapter is going to ruin me. My heart hurts at the roles they had to play to survive. Yue Qi being the protector, Shen Jiu making money. pp82-83

omg. Shiwa was a snot nose, but the child did not deserve that at all (his face sliced). Who the fuck is this "youthful master" p85

fuck it's Qiu Jianluo.

And he would deserve it! I too would "swear to fuck the qiu family graves a hundred and eighteen times" p86 Qiu Jianluo is vile.

I think it's actually worse that he's only 4 years older than shen jiu. They're both children at this point but one is sadistic as fuck. This guy is so horrible. p88

uuugh. Okay. Going back a page, I just clocked something that has me feeling sad things. The fact that the only things Shen Jiu can write are "seven" and "nine" (his and Yue Qi's names :(((((( )and only because he saw someone (presumably his traffickers) write them. p87 I cannot with this boys life. It is truly so awful.

omg. and the rationale Qiu Jianluo has for making shen jiu marry his sister "so she wouldn't need to leave" p88 and the way he does it by threatening shen jiu's life pretty much constantly

someone, many chapters back, said I would be upset with the extras involving Shen jiu and they are not wrong. This is deeply awful.

I also dislike Wu Yanzi; this guy is terrible too. Shen Jiu really is a bad luck and terrible people magnet. pp92-93

Bless. As awful and shameful as stabbing someone in the back is, good on shen jiu for saving Yue Qi and ending this fight! p93

Oh gosh. Shen jiu really needs some therapy. this guy holds so much darkness and resentment. Like shit; the hatred he has for Liu Qingge literally just for existing and having a good life. p95

So. What I don't understand is how no one thought it was odd that one day SQQ wakes up and is totally different. This man went from Brothel Rewards Card Holder to "I have never so much as looked at a woman in my life" like HOW did not one know. p97

Yue Qingyuan to Shen Qingqiu about Liu Qingge "If you extend him a single share of kindness, he'll return it two-fold" p98 and he truly did. transmigrated shen yuan saved this mans life one time and the bro sold him his soul twice over.

oh poor trauma baby. The reason why he (SQQ) doesn't sleep in the dorms/disciples quarters hurt. p100

The guilt that Yue Qingyuan carries is heavier than the Catholic Church. My god. I totally get why this guy is always doing the most for SQQ. pp102-203

Oh no. Yue Qingyuan was defo the person who was fighting for their life in the cave while qi deviating attempting to leave it. This one hurts :((( Shen Qingqiu doesn't even know and he is not wrong p108 I just want to hug Yue Qingyuan.

ah, okay. This chapter is the original Shen Jiu's timeline not the prequel to Shen yuan version. I got so confused when part 6 started talking about the water prison and Shen Qingqiu killing Liu Qingge. pp109-110

oof. It truly sucks when a character has had a rough go and is struggling but refuses to allow themselves to be redeemed in any way. Shen Jiu feels like that for me. It's so upsetting. pp112-113

This is so tragic. Literally two seconds after I read the part where Shen Jiu tells Yue Qingyuan to get lost and had that thought about him refusing to be redeemed this part happens, "I thought you weren't coming" p114 my HEART at Shen Jiu thinking Yue Qi would never come back but he did :( and Yue Qingyuan still feeling the guilt and burden of not doing it when they were young.

Well that was fucking awful

This chapter ruined my life. No thoughts, only sadness.

I'm still teary & choked up while typing this. SUPER emotional episode. It's incredible how much they packed into one ep, too! But the second half of the ep was BY FAR the most emotionally impactful IMO. Jacob's acting is just WAY too good; he had me choking up something fierce.

These are all of my own personal ideas, but

the gut wrenching tragedy of her. Her village destroyed, everyone she knew dead in a horrific way. And instead of laying down and giving in, she instead steals the divinity the Hornsent sought from them. She becomes a god, and sets out to build a world of order and of kindness. Things she believes the Hornsent lack. And once she has her armies, she returns the pain a thousand fold.

And then it all starts to go horribly wrong. Her revenge is too brutal. What sort of God of Order and Kindness would do such horrible things? So she erases her crimes and she abandons her first born son, the son who killed them all for her. The son that awaits her return until his dying breath.

Not all is horrible. She has godwyn. She has Godfrey. She has her means to escape, built upon the ashes of her daughter.

And then the crucible "blesses" her with twins, adorned with horns and wings She tries to love them, but they terrify her, they remind her. She has so much hatred and fear in her heart she can not love them. She abandons them, and the only kindness she can spare is a decree that Omens of royal birth are not excised of their horns.

And then she looses Godfrey. She has a new husband. One who throws himself into the Golden Order, a world she made that becomes more and more of a cage. The gods curse their children, and her world becomes smaller and smaller. Her own hatred and fear bleeds into her order, spreading to apply to anyone who is different. And the kindness of gold she envisioned becomes only a bitter memory.

All she has is Godwyn, and then, in one horrible night, she doesn't.

She is, beyond any doubt, a monster. She has killed countless people, she abandoned her children, and no doubt has a very unhealthy co-dependency with Godwyn. I definatly think that in the end he was her only joy and that made her refuse to let him go, smothering him.

I can not excuse her actions (jokes of womens wrongs aside)

Her fans can also be super annoying, woobifying her to extreme degrees and saying shit like "the Hornsent deserved it", as if farmers deserved to be killed when the ones who actually did harm to her sit unbothered in the tower of shadow.

Free Palestine does not imply that I favor Palestine; in fact, I do not support anyone, but I am against the injustice that the people of Palestine are experiencing, and that innocent people are losing their lives. In today's world, there are humans who are living, but the humanity in them is dead. Only a few people have humanity remaining, and it will soon become extinct because of how our society is changing around us. Breaking hearts, watching others suffering, desiring vengeance, betrayal, fake people, violence, and so on are becoming more widespread in our lives, which is dangerous. I don't understand after covid, it appears like all humans humanity has been stripped away since after covid, everyone seems so fake and heartless, which is not healthy for anyone. The war between Israel and Palestine has been going on for days. Children, men, women, and the elderly are all suffering in Palestine. I don't understand why they are even suffering. What did they do to deserve this kind of cruel life they are living now? All they want is a peaceful life. We want money and beauty, but they want safety, which no one can provide. No human being can be denied their rights for safety, but what about them? They are all innocent individuals who are suffering. Every time I browse social media, I come across videos of them pleading with us for donations. However, I am not in a position to make financial contributions, so all I can do is raise awareness. I hope that someone will read this and decide to reblog it, raise awareness, or even give them some money. Whatever you decide to do, God will definitely bless you if you at least try to help them. Note that this is not about countries, religions, territory, etc., it is about us, the humans, who are killing one other in the name of random stuff. had this sent to me when I was having a little moment this past weekend and

I have more thoughts on the answer i gave this weekend. More thoughts I wish to now expand upon

The short answer was that Death follows Mikah wherever they go. They're not running from it but it follows them regardless--like a shadow over their shoulder. It is a constant in their life.

Now the long answer is that Death only follows Mikah so closely because they cheat Death constantly. In the main verse, it's very obvious--they die and then resurrect in a matter of minutes depending on how they were killed. Even if some spectre of the afterlife were to latch onto them, they'd be pulled right back into the land of the living without incident. It irritates them here because they're young and they do experience phantom pains from each death--enough to where they try to actively avoid things that will get them killed.

Same goes for their fantasy/royal au. They can die but they will come right back. No fanfare, no scare--they just... do. It's a little more thoughtless because it's just... their reality at that point and they're "older" ( in that they've been deathless for a while ) so there isn't much of a thought given to their deaths aside from some... resigned sigh when it happens. Phantom pains still occur but they've learned to ignore it now.

their god au is a little different so it doesn't exactly apply... but the alnst au follows the same trend, to some extent with some limitations because they're human. they've only got the one life... and yet, even then, they're weasel their way out of alnst b/c of a specific event that just... mentally takes them out it. it breaks them and they leave before they can suffer the same fate

And I'm going to get to that but first, I'm gonna float the idea of what happens if you cheat death. There is a space there... that needs to be filled... yes?

It can't just sit empty... right?

Thus comes Mikah's motivation.

In the main verse, Mikah cannot die... so their girlfriend, Cassandra, does. That is their fault. Later on, Evan also dies because of Mikah's actions. Both times, it should've been them as their actions directly lead to the death of both individuals.. but they live. They're injured, for sure, but... not dead.

In the fantasy/royal au, mikah ( unbeknownst to anyone ) is very cursed. However, because they cannot die, whatever deal their noble parents made comes back at them. It's not Mikah's fault, no, but they are still blamed for it. It was supposed to be them, people would say, and that does wonders for their psyche.

In the alnst au, they are not supposed to win. I personally love their voice and their vocal ability but I put a lot of thought into Evan's voice from the get go for a reason. I wanted him to have a lot of range because out of the two of them, Evan should be the one that comes out on top. but he doesn't. He chooses not to... for Mikah. So they don't die. It should've been them.

All of this is to say that Mikah is a person/being whose existence is meant to dodge responsibility and cheat consequences. death is a companion to them intentionally, because it's meant to show them that if it's not them, it's going to be someone else--someone close to them. someone often not deserving of it. that punishment always passes them over and effects someone else.

And Mikah is very aware of this. Some part of them knows and refuses to accept it. Another part of them is... content with it. A third part has accepted that as just the way things are, whether they like it or not. As unfair as it is, the only option to stop that would be to stay away from everyone...

...and Mikah, bless their heart, is too selfish for that. Their lonely heart would not be able to withstand that.

But she doesn't have time to think about that right now because Chris is crying behind her, sniffling, soft and quiet and Percy is screaming, her siblings are dying (she sees Mark dead, but she can tell it's Mark, his face isn't a fucking hamburger right now, not like Silena), so she shuts Silena's eyes (what's left of them anyway, they fall apart beneath her hands, and gods, this is the gentlest she's ever been but she's still breaking--), presses the bracelet she'd taken off so gently into Chris' hand for safe keeping, and she--

She starts screaming. This is Kronos' fault. This is her father's fault. Everyone here, everyone but her is to blame right now, and she is going to kill them all, and then maybe she'll die, succumbing to wounds or grief or a broken heart (is Will even alive right now? Is Chris all she has left?).

So she's screaming and Percy is fighting his way to her and he touches her shoulder and she yells and keeps fighting and somewhere along the way her father fucking blesses her, as if she gives a fuck about staying alive, about what he thinks anymore, as if she wouldn't kill him if that would bring them back--

Love is gone. Her Love is gone-- her loves are gone.

And she knows she is Achilles in this moment, know Silena knew what she was doing, knew who Patroclus was, and all she can think is: good.

Good, because Achilles dies in the end.

Because right now, isn't that all she wants, because she loves Chris but-- Chris is one person, and Chris will get over it if she dies and everyone else she loves is dead or missing in action and they probably all hate her, so--

The Lethe sounds good. Or punishment, because that's what she deserves isn't it, she indirectly murdered teenagers (and a couple directly, but she doesn't feel so bad for that because they-- Beckendorf died to stop them, Silena died to stop them, Michael died to stop them), and the last thing she said to Michael was that she hated him and that's what Michael went to the grave with and gods, she loves him, she loves all of them, won't they come back?

Because death is real and Death is real and she will fight Him, if He can bring them back.

But then she calls Kronos a coward, and she never has a chance. She is War and a Warrior but Kronos is older than her father, and her father's blessing, and in one universe, maybe her father is powerful enough to protect her (cares enough to protect her), but Love is dead in this universe, or perhaps the blessing doesn't work on those who don't want to be saved, but either way--

Clarisse falls.

(It's such a shame she realises all too late, the truth of Kronos' scythe. Of stygian iron. Of how she will never reunite with her Loved.)

Three thousand years from now, perhaps another young child will come by the River Styx. And perhaps, this time, it will not be the Son of Kings, Achilles who warns them.

It will be the girl who doesn't remember what her name is anymore (if it's Risse or Claire, or some combination), but a girl who remembers five people, and of how only days before her death, flowers were being braided into her hair.

But that is a story for another day. And for the three thousand years in between, well--

As part of my 25th birthday celebration, I asked what everyone wanted to see and the poll has spoken (even though there's still time left to vote)

I'll be sharing my 25 favourite lines from A Little Prayer for Dead Gods so far!

The stars are bright in the sky, there's no moon to illuminate his way. With no one around as a witness complicit in his crime, he prays to his God to not lead him astray.

The body still lies in its foetal position, knees tucked against a motionless chest. The only difference compared to yesterday is how its cheeks look wet, as if glistening with dew.

"For one night only," Sasha says, trailing a hand down Adrian's spine, and pressing a line of kisses on his neck, "I'll be as gentle or as rough as you'd like."

The orbs of light are Gods in their infancy and he has brought an executioner to a nursery.

"You are not one of Odila's little piggies, but you roll over in the mud to try and fake it just the same, don't you?"

At the sound of his fast footfalls, Faro twists around and his eyes nearly bulge out of his head in shock. He hisses, "What the- what are YOU doing here?"

He's no longer that seventeen-year-old boy with endless stamina. He's twenty-nine and his body knows it even if his mind wants to protest.

He waves his hand around in what he hopes is an enticing manner, "Hm? hmmmmmm~?" Faro shakes his head, giving Sasha a false sense of security before stealing some raspberries.

He sees a younger version of himself reflected in her eyes, childlike defiance that won't rest until the world is changed to fit into her mould. She will spill blood and kill for it, until she gets what she believes she deserves.

Thinking back on all the books he read, never was there any mention of their name, only what they've done and how wonderfully kind they were like a gentle hand guiding a lost child back home. "I just call them mine."

"Please don't peck my hands off," He asks the birds, knowing his plea will not be understood. "I need those."

"What if, the bird —perhaps not knowing about its clipped wings— climbs onto a clock tower to fly off. Would you try to stop it?"

"No," Faro insists, "You have given me the name 'Faro' and I will make it my own."

Sasha nestles himself into the blanket that had been draped over Faro earlier and sinks into the warmth as a soft earthy scent wafts around him, reminding him of the days of his youth collecting all sorts of critters right after it rained.

"How is a God worthy of your worship supposed to act?" Faro asks, no louder than a whisper.

"Tomorrow will be a big day for your family, the start of a new adventure, one that will take you far away from home. Although, I doubt you'll care much. For you, home is where your mother and father and sister are. But for them, it's everything they know, from the trees, to the sky and the mountains. Everything will be different," He sighs wistfully and Sasha's heart twinges in response, "Different is not so bad. Try to teach them that, if you will."

"I was busy waging wars, not robbing Purity of her Innocence."

His chest aches, he wishes there wasn't a window and two floors separating them. He wishes he could be right next to Faro, so he could hear all the angry grumbles and wipe the snow off of his robes.

He tries to sit up, but a kind hand soothes him back down. The hand moves and cards through Sasha's hair with very soft strokes. The gentleness of her actions bring new tears to Sasha's eyes.

"When I chose to worship my God, I knew damn well that They were never going to protect me or bless me. I knew my worship wouldn't reach Their ears and I... I have made my peace with that," he chuckles a little, "I've tried worshiping other Gods, but none of them could make me feel as alive as They do."   

She stretches out her arm, hand faced up to the sky as a light begins to glow in her palm. "From now until the day you die, you will remain faithful to the one who has claim over your heart. Another's touch will burn like a hot iron on your skin, their kiss a poison on your lips. From now until forever, you are bound by the purest of love."

"Why don't you tell me who I am?" Faro pins Sasha in place with just his intense gaze. "I'm tired of trying to guess."

"Get off the ground, Sasha. I don't want you to kneel for me, not now, not ever."

Sasha moves to stand right in front of Faro. He flinches a little, but doesn't back away. Sasha raises up his hand, slowly, and then flicks his nose. He scolds Faro, "You should have more faith in me."

"I just discovered your deep dark secret, I can imagine running away to be on top of your list of things to do."
