godbard au right, the one me n @i3utterflyeffect have been rotating like a wizard's orb

anyways like, fun little tidbit abt that is that since bard is now well, effectively a god, this does mean that inevitably yeah, they will have to see all their friends and loved ones pass

buuuut a thing we haven't rlly mentioned is that bard's scarf does get longer the more voices of ppl they have, and eventually, with mim's passing they'll keep her voice safe, actually way more closer than their own original voice, as if she was still there in a way </3

also sorta related but the voice yanking thing with audrey was completely accidental n bard is most likely frankly fucking spooked of themself for a while

(Also hi another side tangent im not 100% sure if this is true anymore but we did chat abt if bard could sorta "hear" for lack of a better word, the words that WOULD have been spoken, and so its mainly just audrey being super fucking pissed because what the actual shit n all that

outfit ramblings:

first of all that is a Terrible rendition of what Home looks like in my head. i just needed to fill empty space </3

the staff was the toughest part honestly. bc it Had to be paintbrush-themed, but then halfway through scribbling i was like "oh shit. there are only so many ways to draw a paintbrush-wizard-staff and Weevmo already hit it out of the park." so if you're seeing similarities! you're right! i tried to make it as different as i could! there is Inspiration from their marvelous design, however accidental or subconscious! Apologies!

he gets a pointed hood instead of a hat because a) it looks great on him! and b) it has less of a chance of messing up his hair! also c) it helps muddle the difference between Wizard and Warlock. typically hoods have evil/duplicitous connotation - blur the lines! i want his long gloves and forearm wraps to have the same vibe. his neckerchief is a big help in hiding Home's seal!

his layered (loosely apple-themed) capelet (which the hood is attached to) has a nice high collar & hides the details of his loose shirt - eye embroidery! and some flowers on the shoulders but yk, mostly eyes. on one side of the shirt buttons has open eyes, the other side they're closed! there's also one big eye on his back!

his belt buckle is two halves of an apple! he wears tall thigh-high boots w/ low heels to feel Taller! he has a book-holster hooked to the back of his belt, which holds his grimoire! and he has a lil thigh-bag that has been magicked to be Bottomless and warps size! he can fit pretty much anything in there! canvases! paint! apples!

his half-skirt thing (idk what the word for it is!) is really plush, like a quilt - his capelet is the same fabric. soft, cozy. sometimes he'll use the skirt thing as a blanket in a pinch, or as a picnic placemat!

is his outfit a little Complicated? is it annoying to replicate? yes and yes. but im a maximalist at heart and Nothing But The Best for the blorbo <3 layers my beloved <3

Geralt, as a deity, gets many an offering. However, he's known for slaying creatures and monsters and (through what is mostly rumors) Humans, so all his offerings reflect this. Blades, and blood, and dead things, and money and hide in exchange for safety of their families and villages. He's intrigued when he starts getting regular offerings in the form of... Handwritten, meaningful, sincerely admiring songs recounting his 'adventures' and his 'hardest battles', all of which are made up. Geralt sees no harm in perhaps telling the human some real stories to make some accurate songs. No harm at all. Apparently there was some harm. As the rest of his "followers" have grown jealous of Jaskier (the human with the song offerings) - So jealous in fact, they've decided to try offering Jaskier himself to Geralt.

here is who i think my ocs would romance and what they would choose to play as in bg3 btw;

constance: romances shadowheart, naturally. sees a pretty lady and is immediately like. yeah thats the one. also plays as a high elf paladin, oath of devotion because she thinks its romantic but definitely ends up an oathbreaker

cass: really think he's predictable and would romance astarion unfortunately. sees too much of himself in him. plays a lolth-sworn drow rogue (assassin subclass).

teddy: absolutely romances halsin i don't know what to tell you. is actually really good at video games and probably also romanced karlach in a save or two too. plays a human bard if he's Playing Himself but has several saves with characters he's made up who are more Gaming-Focussed.

rose: gets decision paralysis between romancing gale and wyll but unlike teddy is really not good enough at video games to have more than one save. lets teddy choose and he chooses gale for them. plays a halfling cleric (living the absolute opposite of their real life and plays life domain with selune as their deity)

percy: full of himself, romances gale too bc he approves of gale the most (and also tara). plays a tiefling warlock bound to the great old one.

van: cant play video games technology goes fucky around him. would probably also romance halsin. wood elf druid.

Yea, classic stupidity at its finest. Then again, these are the same people who can't even recognize their very own Archon even though his face on the statue was similar to a certain drunkard bard who appears out of nowhere.

On the other hand, this is a teaser from the upcoming Part 5...

Bennett, Razor, and Fischl also noticed the change in weather and looked at each other in worry, but it seems like there are some people who are too engrossed with recent events that they never noticed the change in weather. Amber lowered her bow, her right hand pointed at Venti's fake Vision on his hand, and exclaimed, "He uses his Anemo Vision to injure people!"

You then glared at the young Outrider, while Bennett and Fischl just stared at Amber with a deadpanned look. Wasn't her flaming arrows ignited Venti's wind barrier a while ago? Why would she blame Venti, her very own Archon, for something she did?

Yup, as much as I love Amber in canon, I kinda spiced her as a bad guy here for some reason... Don't worry, her strong sense of justice had sometimes had her down sides and since she's young, she's just misguided by the people around her. She is going to be redeemed later on.

I had already written seventy-five percent of the fifth part of the fic, and I think the Venti or Mondstadt part of the series will last until Part 6 or 7, depending on my schedule and the flow of ideas. I also feared that like some fanfics I did throughout the years, I will leave this unfinished due to writer's block or loss of motivation. But don't worry, the day it will come will not be soon.

he's kind of a doormat about things, not really wanting to escalate things further, ever.

this is especially seen with mort's interactions with their uncle, who keeps pulling disagreeable shit while mort just. goes along with it. to avoid conflict.

the challenge for a page of rage is to learn it's okay to get angry, to express their more negative side, to let people know when things aren't okay!! to stop being walked all over!!

to embrace the more monstrous side that's been so pushed aside for a while - it's okay to be a vampire, you're just trying to survive. it's okay to let people know they're wrong. it's okay

why? yeah somehow they got rage on the official quiz. rage and prospit. very odd, but thinking about it, it made some sense. sure, the prospit feels obvious, but rage? took some time to figure that one out. sadly page is the class that suits them the most here. oops

has suffered from the burden of being seen (target of vampire slayers), and tbh he avoids this like hell these days- constantly hiding, hates unwanted attention. mirrors Void aspect in this case - he often blends in out of necessity but dear lord is it harmful to his mental health

anyway here's god bard au audrey!!! i imagine her role as the hero ends up quite questionable after the wandersong, and i'm currently pondering the idea that some people might think she, in fact, did something even worse than lie-- kill the bard

not sure yet tho

either way she loses her voice to the bard after lashing out at Miriam, and is forced to tag along-- though she'd much rather not be found out, so she goes for a complete change of outfit; a hood, darker clothes, and rather than her having her usual iconic scarf, it's wrapped around her arm!

she is not happy at all about any of this and is too damn stubborn to take sign language lessons from miriam initially, so she's intentionally very difficult at the beginning, but as much as she hates it, tagging along is weirdly... fun?

she also has NO self preservation and will just throw herself into fighting any monsters. and yeah some of the stronger monsters stay in places that the wandersong didn't quite reach for no other reason than it's fun and also i said so <3

she is surprisingly strong in hand-to-hand combat for a sword user though

overall i think i enjoy the multiple protag au stuff even if it's making me go back and forth on some of my preferred worldstate choices.

however, it also kind of makes that decision for me in some areas i think?

in general, the characters i've ran so far & have been the loudest in my head, don't neglect that part lmfao have tended to stray more to the side of letting shadowheart's parents die in her personal quest. she's ended up leaving shar each time, yeah, but that's been consistent. with haelryne, she felt so weird about overstepping like that. her personal relationship with her parents is... pretty fine? but as a general rule i think she's someone who leans towards a more hands-off approach with everyone's choices. yes, she's got opinions & will voice them if appropriate, but she's acutely aware that it's Not her or her life & she doesn't entirely trust that she can have some of those opinions with her context as an outsider. she's not part of that family, how is she supposed to form a rebuttal when they ask shadowheart to let them die?

velrith is kind of the same, except oh my God the choice paralysis in this moment. absolutely insane. because up until then she's been relying heavily on her oath & if not that, pure pragmatism. usually a combination of the two. but this feels like a no-win situation to her & it's not one that's covered by either of her typical decision-making mechanisms. she's also personally just got a lot of baggage surrounding family, despite not remembering it actively or being aware of it (something about cell memory or stains on the soul, take your pick). she also feels deeply out of her element here & can't even begin wrapping her head around a choice like this. because letting the die for the sake of freeing her friend from shar makes sense to her! they're telling shadowheart to do it & it seems to come from a place of love, she can see that her mother is actively deteriorating, and it also takes care of that wound on her hand. but she doubts herself, because she can also see how emotionally taxing this is even if she lacks that frame of personal reference & that feels bad. maybe the logical choice on paper isn't actually What she should allow here, even if it seems to be better on an individual level...? she killed her parents, even if it was compelled out of her. she doesn't think this should be up to her & ultimately finds that she's unable to say anything at all.

and then tertiary to all that, you have ashlanna, who is Fully acting on a selfish impulse when she's like '??? are you serious? get them Down we can solve your hand later, i refuse to believe there isn't a loophole & it's not worth letting them go after everything in your life you've suffered.' like. she loves shadowheart & yes she is notably vain & selfish and doesn't apologize for this, but she's also surprisingly family-oriented. she loves her own father so damn much & wouldn't hesitate or feel the need to ask the audience if she were in shadowheart's position. it seems like a no-brainer & i honestly can't see her being able to keep quiet while this conversation was happening. unlike the others, she's not hung up on making choices for other people; she runs theatrical productions on a regular basis. if she's not in charge, she's probably incapacitated because other people simply Cannot get anything right, not without heavy guidance from her anyway. which absolutely Can get annoying at times & i think there's probably also a part of shadowheart that's even miffed in the moment but also like. thank god for Someone at least feeling an appropriate amount of 'what the Fuck?' towards the whole thing & sure yeah maybe she's smug about what she did but it's coming from a loving place.

so i think yeah this is definitely something that changes wildly depending on who's there. sometimes you need your unhinged theatre girlfriend to cut you off mid-sentence to shake you out of your emotional ruminating, consequences of your actions be damned.
