I imagine logan waking up one day very early in their situationship and seeing Wade just.. staring at him. All cuddled up with a pillow, half lidded, and shallow breaths.

He's staring at logan with such adoration, too. Not lust. Not want. Just admiration. Like, he's appreciating just the fact that he's.. there.. His gaze is like watching the moon, a sense of familiarity but such wonder and curiosity. The way someone looks at a group of stars that are extra bright tonight, trying to figure out in the deep back of your mind if one of them is part of a constellation or not. Either way, they're gorgeous. So beautiful that you can't believe you're this lucky to see them.

And that is how Wade feels just simply being allowed to lay in the same bed as him. Hear his snores and grumbles in his sleep. The sharp twitches met with rough yet soothing hands.

It's all Logan could ever ask for. And yet still he dosn't believe he deserves it.

He never believes he deserves anything good.

Wade. Big house. Nice clothes. Friends. A shower. Dinner... none of it.

It's hard for him.

It's terrifying, really. But when he finally lets himself go, to sink into that couch and take a nap without the immediate jerk of consciousness sparking the moment anyone walks into the room. No, now it's like he's underwater. Hearing the muffled words of someone above the surface trying to talk to him.

Ussually, it induces panic. Making him claw and gasp for air. But not this time. For the first time in... ever.. the words are almost soothing. Intoxicating in a way he didn't know possible, Drunk on the way his voice rings through these sensitive ears.

Logan has been struggling to keep his head afloat for years. Decades. Over a century of panicked breathing, hyperventilating, and pawing at the surface. He's spent so long trying to fight the currant. To float.

But what he didn't know is his entire life. He's been trapped underwater in an air pocket. It wasn't until he gave up and let himself drown that he realizes just how beautiful the other side is. How much calmer and easier the water is. How warm and gentle it is compared to the rough and harsh currant He's used to.

As long as he's with Wade? Maybe he could get used to this new water. Besides. There's much more air. Space to breathe. More fish, and an island with soft sand to rest his head on.

Sure, Wades is a little nuts. But sometimes the insane guy talking to coconuts in uncharted territory was better than the familiar hell that you knew before.

If you want pizza, you go to a pizza restaurant. If you want sushi, you go to a sushi restaurant. But if you want pizza and you go to a sushi restaurant and ask if they can make you a pizza, best case scenario is they'll make you some terrible pizza-sushi hybrid that doesn't satisfy you and they feel guilty about, worst case scenario is they tell you to fuck off.

People are like restaurants. You need to figure out what the people in your life are good at serving, and order that from them. It could be emotional support, practical problem solving assistance, a great conversation about music, endless cups of tea, sex, brutal honesty, whatever. But order something on the menu. And if you want something that's not on their menu, you gotta go somewhere else for it.

They're not bad for not serving something you're craving, and you're not bad for craving something not on the menu. But it is up to you to decide where you go to get what you need.

I find the way that BBC Merlin set up Merlin's powers in the first episode to be quite funny. I mean, we see this sort of lanky guy and it is established that he is Merlin and (according to our own common knowledge) therefore he is the most powerful warlock ever. Okay, cool. One might assume that he has come to Gaius to develop his powers, that maybe he's only in the beginning of his magical journey. But instead the exposition shows Merlin, in the pilot episode of this 5 series show, stop time and employ levitation to save someone's life with magic, and then it is announced that prince Arthur is essentially his soulmate, and their joint power will create the most glorious age Camelot has ever seen. Quite an exciting set-up. And then for the rest of the entire show this man who we know possesses TIME-ALTERING POWERS mostly uses them on-screen to do common chores and annoy and prank THAT SAME Arthur. Like that one post said, "All of it's destiny and all of it's his fault." :p

Context: In a previous post i drew Hector with visible seems on his body and in the tags said he has a few ... quirks for being an ex-god.

Hector will quite literally fall apart at a random seam (or a few) if he gets too wrapped up in destructive/unhealthy thinking now. If you wanna think about it in a more terrifying context this is essentially what i headcanoned happened to his body when he ascended - except in the rift it all dissipated, leaving him as how he was as Inspekta.

Once you go in the rift even if you choose to leave it still will affect you. You will have to live with the choices you made either way. You climbed the tower of Babel and looked gods in the eye as an equal- you do NOT return the same.

sally jackson falling for the tumultuous sea and watching it pull away from her like the tide when she bore it a son. the largest parts of the planet she lives on, once a safe place, and yet she can never seek it out again.

zagreus falling in love with death itself, slowly over time, as he dies over and over, constantly returning just to fight once more. finding peace and love and home in death, as the god of blood and life.

gale dekarios falling in love with magic, constantly feeling like there’s More and Never Enough. gale trying to complete the weave, to appease his lover, and being scorned in both regards. a wizard being punished by magic.

New allies or new enemies (fools, all of them) assume when interacting with the 141 that Ghost is the unit’s attack dog. And those that get close enough to start reading into their team dynamic often assume that one Soap MacTavish must hold the leash, despite their difference in rank. After all, the Sergeant is the only one who seems to ever get close to the hulking Ghost, more monster than man. They assume this because they think someone has to. After all, a beast can’t keep himself on the lead.

But what they could never anticipate with their little pea brains is this - Ghost is in complete control. Sure, he postures, and he wears his mask, meant to ward off anyone who would even think of getting close. But the mask is as much of a target as it is a tool for his isolation. For every 10 men who steer clear, there’s one who picks a fight just cause he’s the biggest, scariest guy they’ve ever seen. And so he honestly has learned to keep his cool. To turn the other cheek. To know when it’s important to fight, and when it’s better to just let posturing idiots be posturing idiots.

Soap, however.

He’s young, and he’s strong, and he has a painfully endearing golden-retriever sense of justice. He has no idea how to back down when the fight isn't worth it, to him it's always worth it.

And the only one who he'll listen to, the only person on the planet who can call off his bite is Ghost. When Soap bristles at some rando bothering a girl in a bar, ready to start swinging, it's Ghost that steps in with a cool word instead, stopping the fight before it starts. It’s Ghost who puts a hand on Soap’s back when he can feel him tense, teeth barred, it’s Ghost who calls Soap back to the present with a quiet hey, not now. And miraculously, Soap listens.

He holds the lead. He always has.

And when people underestimate them, when they’re unprepared for Ghost’s patience and even less prepared for Soap’s bite, they feel the wrath of Ghost’s attack dog, let loose.

Ghost likes that he can call Johnny back in, but he likes letting him free even more.
