KRIST AND BOUN: THE VERY EXCITING POTENTIAL FRIENDSHIP THAT ONLY MATTERS TO ME

I love Boun. I love Krist. I love them separately for different reasons and I’ve followed them for about the same amount of time.

Because they’re similar and I love them, I have been pie-in-the-sky, playfully hoping that my two favorite extroverts may become friends somehow for FOUR YEARS and TODAY KRIST JUST CASUALLY POSTED HIMSELF GIVING BOUN A GIFT ON HIS BIRTHDAY.

LIKE.

I’ve been documenting this.

And, y’know, at first it was tongue-in-cheek stuff, right.

Like on October 25th, 2023, they both met their respective idol on the same day.

And Pup and Mark aren’t celebrities Krist and Boun are normal about. Krist got “P” tattooed on the back of his neck as a partial dedication to ‘P’up from ‘P’otato (it’s also Krist’s own name’s initial, also Peraya, etc.) and Boun once famously told Mark Tuan that as long as he got to see his ankle, he’d die happy. I love two very measured and chill fanboys.

Then they wore similar shirts one time.

Essentially I’ve loved Krist and Boun separately but fervently for four years, and for fun I was doing a lot of, “I’ve connected the two dots. I’ve connected them.” /shane

But Boun was part of Studio Wabi Sabi and Krist was with GMMTV and while it wasn’t impossible for them to interact, it definitely wasn’t likely. So I mostly made peace with this being a goofy game I like to play.

And then—

OH LOOK MY SON IS NOW IN MY OTHER SON’S COMPANY.

AND HEY MY SON WELCOMED MY OTHER SON TO HIS COMPANY.

At this stage I’m like, “Oh, so I’m god’s favorite. Fun trivia.”

I’m all revved up looking for any other indication that they’ve met or talked or interacted, but the universe keeps making a gentle mockery of my long-shot dream.

“Oh, you want to see Boun and Krist at the showcase?”

“Here you go. Oh, Boun is too small? No problem, let’s make him bigger.”

Then, oh, BounPrem are recording with a producer Krist follows on Instagram.

And Boun does the dance for Krist’s song “Call Me.”

Then of course Krist advertises Boun’s upcoming concert on Livehouse.

THEY KNOW EACH OTHER EXISTS.

THEY WORK IN THE SAME COMPANY.

AND NOW KRIST HAS GIVEN BOUN A BIRTHDAY PRESENT.

THIS ISN’T THE BEST DAY EVER YET BUT WE’RE GETTING THERE.

I was watching the gmmtv livehouse behind the scenes of THK and yes, it's 100% Keen who would shot Bison. Pepper was present there the day Khao was shooting in the exact costume that Bison was wearing in the precap when he got shot. Noooo, Keen !! Why? 😭 I really thought there's an actual bond between the three brothers, at least Keen wouldn't try to kill them. 💔

like i think it's possible that the conversation between Ray's father and him could be more on them wanting to get his life back on track.

But the fact that "friends don't charge other friends" a dialogue that Sand said in previous eps, is so much ringing in my head. Don't you think he might have rejected his father's offer to take the money for it but still continued to take care of Ray irrespective of the money that was promised?

Because as much as Ray's father might be wealthy, Sand's moral complex might not be that corrupted to accept Ray's father's money. However, there could be something else in the mix, maybe something long term? like not trying to get him arrested? a request of his father to try to take care of him and Sand saying that as Ray has Mew now, he won't be actively taking care of his activities and Ray might have read that conversation?

I DONT KNOW BUT THERE ARE SO MANY POSSIBILITIES. I WISH ANYTHING COMES TRUE BUT I WISH THERE WOULD BE ANGST WITH THE COMFORT OF RAY AND SAND GETTING BACK TOGETHER BECAUSE OF RAY'S VREAKDOWN IN THE LAST EPISODE ( as P'First hinted in the Neo FirstKhaotung GMMTV Livehouse thing) {pretty please find the reference cause I am not able to}

An Only Friends Question and A Theory

I have a burning question about Only Friends: Do we think that when Plug referred to Yo as Sand's "big sister" that he meant it in the "she's your boss/honorific" way or the "she's biologically related to you" way? (I am on the lookout for Chekov's Dad, lmao)

Theory Time: @wen-kexing-apologist wrote an amazing post on the Commodification of Sand that got me thinking about the trailer for episode 9 and that scene between Sand and Ray's Dad (the "do me a favor" moment).

I think that wherever these boys run off to next week will involve them having sex again, however, we also know there's still a big fight coming based on scenes from the trailer and the Let's Try MV. I've suspected that Ray's Dad is paying Sand to do... something obviously Ray related, lol (keep him out of trouble maybe? Which could explain why Sand would be so willing to fight the cops on Ray's behalf. As @lurkingshan, @neuroticbookworm and others have discussed, Sand, with his lack of wealth, social status, and his criminal tendencies would have suffered way more than Ray would if arrested. But if he knew that Ray's dad might get them both out of it, if push came to shove...).

It feels like Ray and Sand are gonna have this amazing trip(day? event?), get closer, have sex, and maybe decide to go official once Ray has cleared the air with Mew. And then Ray's gonna find out that his dad is paying Sand (for whatever favor Sand is doing). Ray will lose it and once again, I guarantee, call Sand a whore. Because in Ray's eyes, Ray's dad paid Sand to sleep with him.

Someone tell me I'm way super off base here. Please. (IT WOULD HURT SO BAD BUT IT WOULD ALSO BE DELICIOUSLY ANGSTY AND I KIND OF WANT IT BUT ALSO I DON'T)

So I obviously got this when things were still tense, and it's been a big comfort for the past week to know that someone did this for me. So first of all, I want to acknowledge how kind this was and thank you. <3

I wanted to wait until things died down a bit before I answered because I was so wrapped up in the thread I was making that I couldn't focus on anything else. SO! Now I can just have fun answering. :D

MY 5 FAVORITE THINGS ABOUT SINGTO AND GAWIN

OKAY starting with Singto. :D

1. First is, hands down, his relationship with his father. For anyone who doesn't know, Singto lost his mother to cancer while he was in university, so ever since, he's been making a concerted effort to spend as much time as possible with his father before he passes. Singto's said he felt guilty for the time he missed out on with his mother, and he doesn't want to regret it twice. He goes out to eat with his father, hangs out with him, built a house with the intention of living with him (that his father turned down), and just generally seems to adore his dad.

2. His struggle tweets. 90% of the time this man tweets anything, it's because he's complaining about some minor catastrophe: he put his clothes out to dry and it rained, the soup bag in his delivery order burst, the delivery guy never showed, etc. etc. etc. I just think it's a very clever way for an introverted actor to use social media in a way that gets him engagement. He made being inconvenienced a brand, and that's super cute to me.

3. His love for Linkin Park. Because I also love them. That's it. I love that he loves one of my favorite groups, and in another life before Chester passed, I would've loved to go with him to a concert as concert buddies.

4. The mood lighting in his room. It's ridiculous and pretty and I love it.

5. That he's been very open about his mental health issues. Even knowing that some people would use it against him, he still shared extremely private experiences with the public, and especially considering how closed most of Asia can be regarding depression and conditions like it, I admire him (and Krist) for speaking openly about how he's been affected and he lives with it.

And now Gawin!

1. That he threw shade at Pennsylvania in the funniest way I've ever heard. ("What do you miss about Pennsylvania?" "I can tell you what I don't miss about Pennsylvania.") I just love that Gawin's been such a recluse for years that very few had any indication outside his acting that he's funny.

2. His singing, dear god. When he dropped his Maroon 5 cover during the early days of the pandemic I genuinely thought he'd gone out and quietly gotten himself a record deal. I love his acting but I genuinely hope he makes more of a move toward singing. He's just too talented and passionate about music to keep doing OSTs forever. (GMMTV I'm scaling the side of your building.)

3. That he's historically been averse to social media in all forms but he threw himself into promotion for Be My Favorite. When Off teased him at Livehouse last autumn and Gawin teased him back, there was a beat of genuine surprise where Off didn't react, and then he said, "At least you talk now," with affection. It reminded me how much work Gawin had done with some big names and yet he'd been so reticent and shy in the promotional materials, very few had gotten to know him on a deeper level. Last year was really special. I'd already been fond of him, but to find out he's even sweeter than I thought was lovely.

4. Getting to chat with him during the fan benefit for the Be My Favorite finale and finding out how sincerely humble he is. He's genuinely just happy to be here. I don't think he knows he's famous. Someone should have told him the cameras were on.

5. He fucking took Nong Kawi (the turtle plush from Be My Favorite) on the plane with him for his first trip to Japan. T___T

I love them both. They have very different introverted energies, but they're similar enough that I am genuinely curious what they're like one-on-one. I hope they have opportunities to interact with each other publicly in the future. <3

KAWIPI REUNITED ON THE ANNIVERSARY OF BE MY FAVORITE’S FIRST EPISODE

Happy 1st anniversary to BMF’s premiere!

Recently, Krist got hate from burner accounts on Twitter because he made one (1) tweet in support of Gawin hosting Livehouse for the first time. He was accused of not promoting his partnership with Singto well enough, of being partial to Gawin, etc. There are some who really, really hate his friendship with Gawin and make no secret of it.

But Krist ignores them—as he should—and just now he posted this boomerang with Gawin at GMMTV’s annual outing on his IG story. :’)

I keep saying it: he loves Singto and he loves Gawin, and he’s never going to leave Gawin behind. He’ll never pretend they’re not friends, that he didn’t call Gawin his safe zone multiple times, and I hope with time most people see that as something to celebrate.
