due to popular demand I'm putting the WanPre movie plot under the cut
anything that's missing? i forgor. super spoilers for the entire movie.
Starts out with a mysterious egg coming from a computer screen in a laboratory. The egg escapes, glitching, and gets into Animal Town, voicing jealousy over the people taking care of their pets.
The precure find it, try to reason with it because it isn’t a Garugaru. But because it has ears and a tail and can speak, ending sentences in tanu, Wonderful calls it a Tanutanu. It gets angry. Grows giant. Attacks. The girls immediately pull out the Niko-sama full attack. It seems to work, but there’s nothing left when the attack is over. They transform back and, from behind a fence post, the egg sees them and is in awe that Wonderful and Nyammy are actually a cat and a dog. Thinking the fight is over they all head to pretty holic to play a new game they just bought. Satoru and Daifuku are also there and they’re set up with snacks and treats while they explain the premise of the game.
Essentially, animal crossing looking characters, on an island of tanuki, run races and people from all over the world compete against eachother with their custom animal avatars. Iroha makes a Komugi looking character on her (not switch) and Mayu makes Yuki. Satoru is playing on his pc and makes Daifuku. They all ask the animals how they feel about the lookalikes, and they all approve, even Daifuku through Komugi’s translation. She notes that he sounds as cool today as ever. Cut to the other special two teams of the movie. Ageha makes a little birdie who looks like Tsubasa, to his embarrassment. Mirai makes Mofurun, who is delighted. Haa-chan also thinks it’s super cute, but Riko can’t understand why any of this is fun.
They play a little, and Komugi gets really into watching Iroha and actually jumps at the screen, causing Iroha to mess up and drop the Komugi mascot off a cliff to wander in darkness, which really upsets Komugi...until Iroha promises that they will be together forever and nothing will ever keep them apart.
They are about to start another game when the mysterious Tanutanu egg reappears. It “hatches” splitting into two human sized tanuki. They say they have no need for dogs or cats. Just the humans. And there’s a bit of them trying different ways to persuade Iroha and Mayu to come with them including transforming into cute tiny versions of themselves. They fall for it, and get sucked through a portal. Yuki and Komugi also jump through, Komugi barely making it. Satoru is distraught, since they disappeared before his eyes. And then looks under the table to find that Daifuku is also missing.
In the game, Komugi is alone. And realizing that she is a weird hybrid of herself. A dog that stands on two legs! The tanuki appear and explain the rules to her. If she ever wants to see her precious Iroha again, she’s gotta win the games. Which is impossible! Good luck! She’s gifted with a ring (the item that anyone under middle school age is gifted upon entry to the movie theater, this year’s light up cheering item) and starts the race! Running to the first arena! First up is a rhythm game. The first Wanderful ed song plays and Komugi does her best to hit the buttons by herself. But she’s told that it’s a two player game and so she’s probably going to lose. She does her best, bouncing from button to button with no misses, until it looks like she’s going to miss one on the far side. Yuki hits it, with style and flair. And they finish the song perfectly.
They team up for the next arena, the dancing tama-ire. (Note, this is something little kids do on sports day, so it’s definitely an appeal to the small children of the audience).
The game starts with dancing. Another Precure song. Then the red and white balls drop down and everyone gets to throwing them into the basket. Notably, the avatars for mofurun and Tsubasa are in the mix without much focus. It’s random animals, the red team, against a team of all tanuki, the white team. And there are special balls in the mix. One Tanuki grabs one and suddenly becomes extra tall to block red balls from going in the basket. Komugi and Yuki also find special balls and become their Precure forms! Along with all the benefits they have with speed and agility. The other cure teams playing the game are shocked to see cures in the game. What could that mean?? Also the mysterious game programmer whose computer the egg from the opening bounced out of gasps that she didn’t program these characters…. Back to game. White team is winning by a small margin. Then it’s dance time again. And ball release. Repeat. They win it at the last second because Nyammy picks up like 300 balls and throws them all in at once. Somehow.
The next game involves turning a crank to move an elevator platform up a wall. It’s all tanuki NPC teams vs Komugi and Yuki, back in their animal forms, and the two tanuki who hatched from the egg. They’re asking why they’re trying so hard to save their humans. What could possibly be their motivations. Both animals have flashbacks of when their human partners rescued them. And declare that they’re going to be together forever. No matter what. They pull ahead to the top and win!! They’ve won the games!!
They’re allowed into the room with no exits that Friendy and Lillian have been trapped in with the NPC tanuki trying to make them feel better by turning into Komugi and Yuki (badly), and offering them fancy juice drinks and fanning them with leaves. The girls are overjoyed to see their pets again, happy hugging reunion. And then the boss tanuki appears. He’s huge. He’s wrapped in a green scarf. Intimidating. He offers to let them all live here in his game world forever. Never getting older or changing. Just being there to love and cherish the many tanuki, and also Komugi and Yuki since they won the games and proved themselves.
Satoru has been trying this entire time to get in contact with the game creator with Meimei cheering him on. The game creator has been typing codes into her computer, until the big tanuki, Mujina, appears. She recognizes him immediately, but calls him something else… He seems like hers very nice, until they refuse. Asking to be let back home to their families. He chose them because they love animals. Things seem at an impasse when suddenly. A very manly voice comes from behind the doors to the goal room.
It’s Daifuku.
In game rabbit form.
But now we can hear him speak and everyone is shocked. He is indeed as cool a character as Komugi has been telling us all this time. Mujina agrees to let the girls play one more game. The winner can get any wish granted that they want. The game is a tournament style balloon pop. Where everyone has a ball on their heads and a bat to pop it with. Except? It’s the 4 cures and daifuku against a full army of Tanuki NPCs, and Mujina on a throne. It looks hopeless. The cure teams watching feel like it’s hopeless…but maybe they can help? The mahou girls cast a Cure-up rapapa to try to get in there to help and send—
Mofurun!! By himself!! The game starts and he very cutely casts a little cure up rapapa of his very own to pop all the balloons in one go. (I was really hoping for cure Mofurun, but….) Winning the whole game at once! Everyone cheers, and he disappears as his job is done. Daifuku pops the final ball on Mujina’s head. It’s over. Mujina is upset but allows the girls their wish. They’re transported to a blank space full of stars, where a weird Tanuki made of constellations offers to grant them their any one wish. Daifuku murmurs that he wishes he could have done more on his own powers and.
YOUR WISH IS GRANTED.
Flash of light, it cuts to everyone standing around staring at Daifuku. Hes shocked because he didn’t mean to take the wish, and says that he isn’t suited to being a human. We still haven’t seen him. But Nyammy opens her compact for him to see his reflection…. He is still a rabbit. Nothing happened. The wish was a fake and Mujina never intended to let them go.
Then, finally. The mysterious programmer and Satoru manage to get messages to them in the game! The game creator, Natsuki, has been working to program a portal out of there. But they only have a few minutes to make it work. And Mujina has figured out that he’s being betrayed from the outside. He’s powering up, growing bigger and bigger. The cures (friendy grabs Daifuku) run to make it up the unnecessarily complicated winding staircase that Natsuki made for their escape. Being stopped by the NPC Tanuki and using the kirarin fox to turn into matching Tanuki along the way to escape. They get to the final staircase, and Mujina is a giant swiping at them, clawing and grabbing the footholds and desperately trying to get them. The girls wonder why he’s so desperate. What’s the reason he wants to keep them here so badly? They get to the top and reveal the ticket to getting out of there. The tanu-key. (Terrible pun, it was great).
Mujina attacks again, and the key flys out of Wonderful’s hands. It lands in the air, cracking the border edge of the game world and sticking in the crack. Wonderful makes a dive for it. Crashing through the border and disappearing into uncoded territory. Natsuki is horrified. There’s minutes left to unlock the portal and she has no idea what is beyond the game world that she coded.
Komugi wakes up in total darkness in her game-dog form. She can see a light from the crack and starts walking toward it. An illusion of Mujina taunts her. Why is she trying so hard to get out. He’s offering her everything. The chance for nothing to ever change. For Iroha to never leave her side. But Komugi refuses. She wants change. A stairway appears. She starts climbing up it. Running. She trips. Mujina keeps taunting her. But she gets up again. Running and running. Declaring that change is wonderful and everyday brings something new and someday she and Iroha will be old ladies together!!!
She breaks out, Wonderful again! Key in hand! For the 5th time in the movie they beat the clock by one second!!!! Unlocking the portal with their Friend RIngs.
They make it home! But they’re not the only ones out of the portal. Mujina has also escaped and gone full youkai form. A sleek spectral tanuki made of black energy, still wearing the green scarf. He sniffs. And bolts off. He’s looking for something.
The girls chase after him, leaving a relieved Satoru on the porch of Pretty Holic. And also a boy with gray hair that looks suspiciously like rabbit ears. Satoru knows him immediately and tells Daifuku that he’s so happy he can finally talk to him. They chase after the cures together.
The action really starts from here. Somehow we end up at Minato Mirai (like almost all the Allstars movies do!!) Mujina is running rampage, destroying things on his run until he finally slams into the red brick warehouses. The hirogaru girls make their entrance and pull off some great attacks, and also combo with the wonderful girls. Mujina gets away again, and this time the mahou girls come in and do the same thing. Everyone poses and does a signature attack. It’s exactly what we’ve been waiting for with the crossover.
He gets away again. He’s a tanuki on a mission. Except. He’s distracted by a guy walking and petting his dog in a display of human to animal affection. Mujina is pissed.
Satoru and Daifuku show up exactly then, running to try and save the guy and doggie. Wing sees this and makes a dive to save all of them. Flash of light. Both our bunny boys are in cure (?) form and save the day. Daifuku comments that it’s pretty alright to be like this and Satoru agrees.
Once again the tanuki gets free and climbs a building. It’s clear he’s going to Natsuki and she knows it too. She’s on the roof of a building, waiting for him. Everyone chases after and he finally stops, growling, facing her. And she calls him something like “pon-chan” or another generic Tanuki name that I’m forgetting and goes into flashback mode. As a child she had no friends. But one day she met a little tanuki in the park near her school. She would stop and talk to and play with him every day, and it was the highlight of her days. She confided in him that even though she didn’t like school much she loved her programming class. One rainy day she gave him a green scarf and promised that she would be back tomorrow and the day after and the day after forever. Until one day the park was under construction and being dug up by big machines and she never saw him again. She instead threw herself into programming her first game character so she could remember her friend forever. One of the NPC looking Tanuki but with a green scarf. She went on to make her game, get a grant, and a contract with a company to make it a reality. But she never forgot her friend.
She was sad because they could never talk and she couldn’t say goodbye. She wondered if her friendship was one sided. But the wonderful girls assure her that even if her tanuki friend couldn’t speak real words to her. The warmth she felt when she was with him and the memories she cherished were proof that they were friends. The animal girls go on to say that before they were cures it was the same for them. Even if you can’t speak the feelings come through. Mujina sparkles and turns into the programmed character Natsuki made all those years ago. And shimmers into the sky. They come down off the roof and say goodbye. The animals turn back into animals and Tsubasa reveals he’s actually a bird. Meimei appears and tells Natsuki that she’s not to repeat this to anyone at all ever. They invite her to animal town someday to play.
The ending theme plays and has stills of everyone going on a picnic and having fun, Daifuku is back to being a regular rabbit, but Komugi and Yuki are in human forms mostly. But there’s a few stills of them as animals with Mofurun and Tsubasa and Elle all being small and cute together. Final scene, a bush rustles and a tanuki steps out. He looks just like Natsuki’s old friend. Everyone laughs as the camera pans to the sky.
The end.

The ideal present
I've been thinking about the development of time and what would be the ideal present, are we really following the true present? Are you confused?
You may remember that Tsuchigomori said that Amane's future is to become a teacher, but he changed his destiny, something that should have been impossible. If we are following Amane's impossible destiny, it means that we are not in his ideal present.
About the ideal present, what it suggests is that time is trying to reestablish itself. Amane's ideal future is to be a teacher, but the future was changed, that is, he is no longer ideal. We were seeing a bad future for Amane.
It was the present, the present set in a wrong branch in Amane's past. Tsukasa coming back is a paradox, and a temporal paradox is a flaw in time. That's why Kako said the problem is Tsukasa.
How could he come back if Nene only knows him if Amane becomes Hanako? I mean, for Hanako to meet Nene, he needs to have killed 12-year-old Tsukasa and then killed himself, but for Hanako to live with 12-year-old Tsukasa, little Tsukasa needs to come back, and that will only happen when Hanako falls in love with Nene.
Did you see the confusion? How could Nene find little Tsukasa without Amane turning into Hanako? And Amane can only transform into Hanako if little Tsukasa comes back.
Here's the glitch in timing. According to real physics, paradox is a glitch in time, and therefore it is considered impossible. So we can use the grandfather paradox as an example. In physics they say that the grandfather paradox is based on you trying to go back in time to kill your grandfather.
But if you do that, you won't be born, if you aren't born it's impossible for you to go back in time to kill your grandfather. There is only one possibility of this becoming real, if it is in a multiverse case.
You go back in time and kill your grandfather, but a new timeline is born, where you were not born and your grandfather was killed. If there is a paradox, then we are not in the multiverse theory.
So, in fiction we enter chaos theory, a paradox that leads to constant consecutive errors in time and that generate a catastrophic and destructive future.
The school's future is destruction, as we saw Mirai move forward in time, meaning Tsukasa returning is a mistake. Amane, Nene and Kou created this error in time, and it is trying to reestablish itself. Number one is the guardian of time, and having that title, his logic makes sense.
It turns out that Hanako is trying the impossible to keep Tsukasa by his side, even though fate says it's not possible. This explains why Tsukasa must also hate rules, destiny is a rule without exceptions, if you are destined for something, there is nothing you can do to change it, as Hanako himself said.
He knows the rules, but he wants to go over them, like he did with Nene too. As long as he insists, the paradox will continue and worse consequences will arise.
So we're following the wrong present, all because Tsukasa came back. The other future that could be ideal was for Amane to die and Tsukasa to stay alive. If Tsu had never met that creature, Amane would die of the disease.
But since Tsukasa was able to talk to that creature, it means that it was Tsukasa's destiny to sacrifice himself. Just use the same logic that Hanako applied to him and Nene. If Nene managed to summon him, it means she was close to death.
Just like Tsukasa, the only exception would be if he came from a special family, like the Minamotos. We don't know about this in their family, so this hypothesis should be kept aside for now.
Based on the information we have, Tsukasa was destined to die and live alone in the red house, his sacrifice is necessary for the flow of time to move towards the ideal future, for Amane to grow up alone and become a teacher.
Which means that we will probably now follow the twins' ideal present and how things should have happened from the beginning, that is, we will see an adult Amane being Nene's teacher?

we have three alters who need help with their identities.
one is very cutesy, hyper femme egirl. she's been here for a little while. she wants things related to lovesick, gorey, and video game themes! she would like names, pronouns, and things she would enjoy.
the one is a bit confusing. they're not a human, they mimic humans. they don't talk often. they're very much connected to liminal horror. they want names and things to do. neutral names preferably.
the last one is connected to the umbrella academy. they're sourced specifically off of klaus and five. they want neutral or feminine names related to mystery, tarot, spirits, and time travel. they also want things to do, comforts, and pronouns.
Hello! I did my best with this one, and I hope it can help! However, I highly recommend googling the trigger warnings for the enjoyment recommendations. Particularly with the first alter, many of the things listed are either quite heavy, gorey, or just generally has potentially triggering content. Be safe and have a good day! :]

High School PriChan the Musical, Part 2!
By popular demand!
So, as I mentioned before, Part 2 of the High School PriChan virtual musical (originally streamed on 3/9/2024) was a lot more dense than the first. All you really need to know about Part 1 is that Miracle Kiratts, Meltic Star, Ring Marry, and Daia were kidnapped and brought to a high school in space by Sadame Ginga for a mysterious purpose.
And so, our story begins exactly where we left off. They even open the show in the same exact way as part 1, with a reprise of the original song High School Challenger.
After the opening song, the girls discuss their upcoming Culture Festival (which has an overcomplicated name that Sadame keeps changing) and predict that Sadame Ginga will just appear and tell them it's happening all of a sudden without them actually having planned anything.
And guess what happens!
But they are all used to it by now.
So, what does everyone actually do for the Culture Festival?
Could it be, performing a live!? (They have done nothing else at this "high school" so far...)
So we have another string of performances, the most interesting of which is again Daia's. Just as she's about to begin, the screen starts glitching out and she is joined by her other self to form Double Daia. Together they perform Forever Friends! Yes, the MyChara Zuttomo song from PriPara!
Daia just covered Heart Iro Tori Dream in the last installment, so I don't know why she gets all the surprise covers but YAY DAIA!!!
The mascot Daia leaves and we reach the "climax" of the Culture Festival: the MyChara runway! Well, they call it a runway but it's actually a conveyor belt. (I don't know why they couldn't do the usual runway animation?) And so, the MyCharas of everyone who paid to get in are all wheeled out and do a pose at the end of the conveyor belt. How very exciting, for everyone who got in that is. This part seemed to drag on forever though... But well, I guess it was kinda neat seeing all the various season 3 coords I never got to see before.
After the runway, so much "sadame iine" has been uniquely gathered that Sadame Ginga insists they put on a special performance that has never been seen before. If so, a miracle might occur!
All of a sudden, Mel, Mirai, and Rinka start talking about some kind of a special group they once took part in, in a different world. This is all very confusing in universe, but it's Run Girls Run. They are talking about Run Girls Run.
So, the three of them perform Brand New Girls!
This leaves Emo, Sara, and Anna watching on the sidelines... leading Sara to suggest to Emo, hey, why not perform with us? It turns out that when Meltic Star was just Anna and Sara, they had considered inviting different members from Miracle Kiiratts to join them. Anna was apparently particularly interested in performing with Emo, Sara discloses. They had prepared songs that they could perform with Mirai and Rinka as well, but the first one they wrote was for Emo!
And so, they invite Emo to perform that song right here, right now!
Emo is a bit freaked out since she doesn't know the song, but Sara insists all she needs to do is study the lyrics and she will be fine. Anna has studied Emo's dancing style and created the moves to fit her perfectly, after all...
So, "Emotic Star" (or "Anna, Sara, Bananas" as Anna calls them, composed of three fellow members of iRis) perform the Valentine song Choco Tea Cocho Heart (a Meltic Star arcade song).
After this performance, the "sadame iine" is maxed. Sadame brings up a special monitor resembling a sliding puzzle showing possible fates of the universe and announces they now have the power to change destiny!
Naturally, the girls are taken aback to find out that this is what they have been performing for all this time. They demand Sadame explain.
And so, Sadame takes them to the superintendent and principal's office, her Sadame Room. Here, Sadame explains how she came to possess a record of the entire history of the universe, past and present.
"Oh? A record? That's what my grandma used to listen to music!" says Emo.
No, not a record. Sadame only uses the latest technology.
A VHS tape.
And it's recorded in extended play!
And, after studying said tape, Sadame had discovered that the disaster that killed the dinosaurs was about to return once more. But this time, a direct hit! Our galaxy, which just happens to be shaped like Kirachu, is about to hit another galaxy, which also happens to be shaped like Kirachu.
The girls are naturally distraught that the entire world is about to be destroyed, but Sadame announces she won't allow it. So, as it turns out, despite her scary appearance and forceful methods, Sadame did not have a nefarious reason for kidnapping the girls at all. She's been trying to save the world through PriChan all along!
Sadame then begins the performance she thinks will save the world (a reprise of her solo from the last show, "Face your Fate").
However, she is unsuccessful as her performance is suddenly interrupted as the two galaxies seem set to collide! Sadame is distressed as this wasn't supposed to happen, and the curtains close!
But, Mirai steps in to remind her that creating this high school and bringing everyone together was not useless because it allowed them to meet. Emo and Rinka agree with Mirai, and Meltic Star tell Sadame she's given up too soon. Everyone chimes in with the usual PriChan spirit of not giving up, and giving everything a try!
After a quick intermission with the mascots, we return to find the negative Kirachu galaxy (which Emo nicknames Urachu) has appeared on the horizon. Maria tries to push it away with cuteness only for Suzu to inform her she's just gonna pull it in it closer!
Sadame falls to her knees, lamenting that everything she did was useless.
Mentioning this brings up all their old PriChan memories, which were also included on the VHS tape. Emo and Mirai reminisce about their debut with Ready Action and what the song means to them. They were scared, but they had to try, and this song cheered them on.
"Let's do it! Let's try!" says Mirai as she holds out her hand to Sadame.
Sadame takes her hand, and the two perform Ready Action!!
Sadame's sadame meter is full, but she knows she will just fail like last time if she tries again. They need a way to collect even more iine. More than ever before.
Just as everyone is feeling down, they hear a voice from above. It's Alice! And Eve! They have been keeping tabs on the situation but due to a time lag, were just a little late in contacting them. They inform them with the use of Mel's parents' technology and a special performance on a special stage, they can change sadame iine into galaxy iine! However, they need to be in view of the Earth (the school is on the dark side of the moon).
Solulu and Luluna then appear to help as well (Note: Alice, Eve, Solulu, and Luluna don't have models, they are just communicating on a screen with static images) and send the girls their Illuminage coords. Miracle Kiratts performs, which sends everyone traveling on a shooting star to where they need to be!
(Or so we hear, in another intermission with the mascots.)
The mascots, with the help of mascot Daia, change into their idol forms and go to help as well!
Then, with no segway whatsoever, we are with Anju. Anju performs Fortune Karat in space.
Meanwhile, the other girls have arrived closer to the earth, where they need to be to accomplish the performance that will gather everyone's galaxy iine and change destiny.
I'd like to note that, although Sadame does not get an Illuminage coord, she's like... significantly more sparkly now.
Also, the girls realize the stage they have arrived on is actually Hakucho, Anju's mascot, transformed! So that's what Anju was doing? GoGo Mascots and the other Daia arrive too! Together they form the supergroup, Super Galaxy Miracle Star!
A group which can change destiny!
Super Galaxy Miracle Star performs the musical theme, High School Challenger (third performance of this song overall).
(Wait, I just noticed that even though they made a point about her showing back up, mascot Daia wasn't in this performance?? ??????)
And so, by the power of PriChan and its followers, the Earth, no, the GALAXY is saved once more.
Anju, Alice, and Eve reflect on the power of PriChan and Alice and Eve hope to perform with Solulu and Luluna someday. Anju tells them that the future exists to give us possibilities.
Sadame apologizes for her forceful ways of getting everyone involved in all of this, but they all forgive her since, after all, they had fun! They thank Sadame, saying they could not have done it without her. But Sadame says she should be thanking them for teaching her about the real power to change the universe (giving everything a try)!
The others ask Sadame if she is going to return to the school (to which transportation is fixed now, I forget at what point the robot got broken...), and she says of course. She is, after all, the superintendent, the principal, the student council president, the culture festival chair... (etc).
The other girls will all be returning back to their own respective high schools on Earth, but they decide this isn't goodbye. They are all connected by PriChan!
Sadame, who still feels responsible for the fate of the universe, will return to studying the updated VHS but also go on a journey to the center of the universe. Surely, she will discover the secret of the fate of everything there!
The others question if that is possible, but she reminds them what they taught her. You'll never know if you don't try!
The curtains close as Sadame is sure they will meet again!
The curtains open again with the girls back in their respective high school uniforms, ready to again try and perform the musical they were trying to perform in the last show before Sadame interrupted by kidnapping them and bringing them to space. But this time the mascots are with them too!
Suddenly, they hear something. Could it be...?
It turns out Sadame has given up on embarking on her journey... by herself. Instead, she will be using Hakucho, who can apparently travel faster than the speed of light and communicate back virtually.
So, now Sadame can visit whenever she wants! Except she does still have responsibilities at her school. She, after all, is the superintendent, the principal, the school council president... And she does have to analyze the data from Hakucho as well.
For now though, she is here! And will participate in the musical as well! It's her destiny!
And so, the curtains close for the final time as the real musical supposedly begins...
The end.
What a wonderful little thing. It was nice to be able to check in on everyone during their high school life, and meet a completely new PriChan idol character. You may have been able to tell already by reading this, but I really liked Sadame's arc, and seeing her finally smiling and enjoying herself performing with Mirai was my favorite part! Also, they threw a whole lot of fanservice for Emo/Anna shippers in here as well hehe.
I hope they keep doing these virtual musicals! I wouldn't be surprised if PriMagi or King of Prism is next!

I haven't finished reading the event TLs, I'm on like partway through day 4, but so far my thoughts:
Aoko has no idea what she's doing as a magician right now. I feel like she's actually in way over her head. I don't know if the intrinsic and carefully considered/acknowledged weight of humanity is something she fully comprehends.
But as things are that's why she's so isolated from the other Magicians. Because of the huge mana costs of True Magic + how carefully you have to calculate everything, you can't just frivolously use it. I admit that I haven't fully and entirely read Mahoyo bc of computer constraints but I know that her stint with borrowing experience/time from the future was a risky and crazy stunt.
I made this pic years ago prior to the TL being released LOL:
What I figure is that we are at 10+ years in the future and she still has not gained the experience she needed. So the debt remains unfulfilled.
We see in this event Aoko has this habit of just using her True Magic capabilities without thinking of the debt she's incurring or how to fix it. In other words: she really doesn't fully comprehend the scope of her own abilities or the mana balance she is running up. She's using mana, but where is the mana coming from? So she's racking up a debt that's growing.
So each day she ends up dead at the hot springs - she says in the first one she took the killer and threw them somewhere else where they're harmless (another debt incurred). It's already implied that they have to be a sizable foe to take out Aoko.
Fujino states the following: "Good and bad people alike contain something so scary that seeing it qualifies as a sin. Aozaki must have seen what the living musn't. A glitch in the boundary between life and death. The bottomless abyss born of human society. That which can only be escaped by being killed."
Sidenote, given that we have KnK characters here filling in roles, but the KnK timeline doesn't match up with this time period (Mirai Fukuin takes place in 1998), I'm inclined to believe that Fujino and Shiki being here is meant to be significant -- it's also possible they were summoned to this singularity, that's not unusual for them to be here in this place, and Fujino even states that Shiki's room is quiet as hell even though supposedly she's with her family (and we all remember Mana being loud and curious af), I have reason to believe Shiki might just straight up be here. Fujino might just straight up be here too. Fujino is already part of the Counter Force, which we know is chasing down Aoko for her True Magic. Shiki being connected to the Root being here at all... I have full reason to believe this isn't roles being filled in here, and that Fujino and Shiki are just Actually here.
So what I figure is going on here is: Aoko's debt for her magic is catching up with her -> that's the calamity of the star. Her achieving the fifth magic and doing what she did in Mahoyo was a lot of fucking magical energy and she needs to pay it back or figure out what to do with it or Something. Something tangible and real and not just a "I'll figure it out later" immature short-term solution. She hasn't reached the experience necessary to make up for it --> she has to either speedrun it, but she probably fails -> she gets flung into the Abyss (shorthand term I use to describe the concept of humanity's depravities/you could say it's similar to the concept of Angra Mainyu but I feel that Angra Mainyu (the guy) is different than this. This is more akin to like a Lost Will type Garden that Morgan has, hence Oberon being the Insect of the Abyss....etc. etc. maybe need more elaboration) -> she's inexperienced and she dies.
OR given that older Soujuurou is mysteriously gone, she meets Soujuurou and he kills her because that "five minutes of Soujuurou's death" has to go somewhere... God idk.
I think overall what we know is: Aoko's magic fuckup is coming to a head now, the Counter Force is literally here, I think the will of Gaia is literally here also because she fucked with the balance of mana too badly, she doesn't understand the weight of humanity fully either and is maybe being made to understand it so she can take better responsibility for her actions... and she's also engaging in her own sort of time loop nightmare that she isn't even fully comprehending because she doesn't recount memories effectively enough. God. Lol

[Log Date - 01/01/23]
I'm starting this log as to chronicle a weird glitch I've encountered in the latest Pokémon. Here's the gist:
I was playing Pokémon Violet again because I got bored and figured that my team could use some new composition, so I looked around and started replacing members here and there.
Out came Great Tusk (primeul Tusk as my friend named 'em), in came Garchomp. Out came Ampharos, in came Mirai... wait, it goes back to its ride form EVERY time I ride it? Who let that through?!...nevertheless, in came Toxtricity (side note, turns out I just had to look slightly hard to find the other Miraidon and had passed it previously, but that's for another time.)
Anyways, I had my team set up but there were some flaws, and even if I didn't intend to get rid of Meowscarada I figured I could have a look at Amoonguss, because A) haha, GET OUT OF MY HEAD GET OUT OF MY HEAD GET OUT OF MY HEAD, but also B) it's fast enough with some set up to pose a genuine threat with Spore.
After EV training the team a bit (aka getting bored after about 10 moves a piece) I went looking for the Amoonguss I wanted. But that's when I came across... it.
It wasn't a normal Amoonguss, almost like it had had lasting effects from Salt Cure, but eh - stylish. Regardless, when I tried using Let's Go because it was a little freaky, Miraidon refused. I knew it wasn't shiny, so what was the holdup?
Regardless, I figured I'd just hit it with something like Power Gem (I was planning to get rid of it soon, since I didn't need it for anything besides a Bug type that somehow had taken out the entirety of the rest of my team, which... not gonna happen, be real.) but that's when things really got weird.
The thing had 0 HP. Not like I could see the number, but with an empty health bar that'd be redundant. Despite this, it managed to outspeed Miraidon by some miracle and landed a Spore. But... this wasn't just a "Spore". It was some kind of move that almost seemed like a typo, being "Spores".
The effect was mostly the same, but instead of falling asleep, the game pointed out that Miraidon was "in a deep sleep" which, again, a little freaky, but nothing major. After this, the game closed randomly. I hadn't managed to faint it; then again, could I have? I mean... it was technically fainted prior, so I guess I won automatically - but that's besides the point. What matters is what happened when I reopened the game.
The title screen was silent, or maybe I just had a weird audio thing; the chimes still played, plus when I loaded in everything was fine audio-wise. However, when I checked around me... the Amoonguss was gone. This was strange, since I thought Pokémon would respawn upon reloading a save at least, shiny hunters always SAID to save.
What was stranger was that... Miraidon was still asleep. Now, if it was really before the battle, it shouldn't have had time to autosave, but maybe the game was weird. Even so, I checked it out since maybe it was just a visual glitch, but...
...the summary page was off.
In it, it had a little note at the bottom, in almost illegible text just stating one message:
"Tainted - Stage: 1. Curable if given a certain item."
Now, I looked this up and nothing useful. What the hell did "tainted" mean anyway? Probably nothing - Miraidon LOOKED fine.
That's where I last saved. Will update if anything changes, or if I fix this stupid bug. Send in advice if you've seen this before, cause I've got a weird feeling this is time sensitive.

I dreamt with this Danganronpa game except it wasn't really Danganronpa, in any way. Sure there was ONE Danganronpa character that being Bandai (from Mirai Hen) but then it was filled w misc characters from non existent dr games. One was very cool to there were this group of young girls but I selected specifically one that was this purple and black glowing rock alien who was I insist a little girl like middle school or some shit but was kinda ripped by virtue of being made of rock I guess and her flavor text said something about her not giving a fuck.
I guess it's worth mentioning that the point of this game was to accuse someone but at fucking random I guess, or with what you already knew of the characters. I remember clicking on Bandai for this reason, who btw was notably ooc bc how on edge he was, and the flavour text shamed me like "are you going to accuse him when he didn't even get to read his letter?". But nothing else that is notable happened here.
This did transition to this blonde anime boy who had showed up earlier who has this weird blocky stylized hair and his lower jaw was like caved in but not consistently, kept glitching in and out, like a doll being inflated and deflated. He was talking to this girl who I also think was blonde, but blonder, longer hair too, and he explained that apparently the baras (his word) had beaten him up and that was why he had his face like that but it was ok and kinda was like so um wanna go out with me? And she agreed.
And here's a funny part because they went into this big futbol field and it seems like in my dream universe there was this argentine meme that came from an Instagram post of two futbol players back to back all romantic and one had a t-shirt with a 4 (no clue if this is a number used in futbol I don't like the sport) and like it was captioned like 4(for) MI PUTO ❤️ and so now these guys from the team were giving out umbrellas 4 tu puto and I guess diversity won bc they gave it to this seemingly straight couple. Being someone's puto goes beyond gender I guess.
After that the dream got a bit dark tho, and it's shorter because I forgot details, but I was watching this documentary about this horror movie's creator who apparently had developed schizophrenia and while at first it was manageable it was slowly consuming him. The narrator explained he was specifically terrified of these "evil orbs" that lives inside his closet. One remarkable shot was our guy sculpting or looking down at this sculpture (like one of those paintings with 3D elements) of an unicorn in a setting akin to the one from the birth of Venus, with such colors and vibe. But the before beautiful and peaceful sculpture was now infected by these evil balls, spreading all over the lower right corner of the frame, crawling up the horse's leg.
After this I walked away from the documentary but I was like "haha just like me except balls instead of liquid" and as I stepped closer to my desktop I saw it covered in this bleeding, dripping, darkness. My chair was barely visible on it. I thought for a second of my oc Shira, but I'm unsure what that meant. Maybe she too is terrified of these liquids? Might be canon. I have no idea if it was tangible or dream me was genuinely aware of it being just a hallucination, but I was still scared enough to not go closer, instead diverting my attention to my cat Vito, who was now nothing like him. Short dirty hair, even fatter, big circular face, and had an eye patch. I don't know how I reached this assumption but I was sure he too was schizophrenic and I got very stressed because I guess I didn't want my cat to be as miserable as he was at the moment (his movement was also Weird his neck twisted almost like a human one).
I stopped freaking out when I looked out the window, previously covered by the dark liquid and saw daylight and I was like Right it's 7 pm it's too early to freak out! And the clock did say 19:01 and then I just woke up.

yeah, so the music room isn't looking particularly normal. you can't really tell in this screencap, but that stone monument (which is hovering in midair) says "mirai" at the top — well, specifically it's the future foundation's logo, and the text underneath says that "the graduates of hope's peak academy were among the many who established the future foundation" to combat the despair apocalypse. hinata, reading this, figures monokuma must have been completely bullshitting all that "world ender" stuff he talked about in chapter 2. this doesn't sound like that at all.
btw, i don't think hinata can perceive the visual glitching around this object nor that it's floating, because he doesn't comment on either. he just thinks it's odd that something like this would be in a music room. furthering my impression that hinata and the other survivors aren't able to perceive the glitches, hinata's surprised to see "text floating in the air" here but doesn't read into it much since he quickly rationalizes that it's a hologram. the text looks like it's an email, some sort of internal correspondence within the future foundation i guess (we don't get to see who sent this email or who it was sent to). the email writer says that they've received information about a group of fifteen former hope's peak students who have so far survived the apocalypse, and they believe these students should be taken into the care of the future foundation because they're likely to be targeted by shsl despair. however, the matter requires further investigation since they don't know the whereabouts of the fifteen survivors and are still looking into their backgrounds. on another note, the research facility on jabberwock island says that their "neo world program" is ready to proceed to the experimental phase.
hinata immediately thinks that this has to be about their group; minus nanami, who he figures was actually a part of the future foundation all along, there were fifteen of them when they first arrived here. he also thinks that "it's like... they're talking from some other world." this is in reference to how cut off he feels from the supposed apocalyptic state of the rest of the world but he's so much more right about this than he knows. he thinks maybe it would be for the best if they didn't get their memories back, actually?
anyway, his takeaway from all of this is that the future foundation is in fact their allies. hope's peak alums created the foundation and took them in to try and protect them. he reasons further that nanami wasn't able to come clean and explain the situation to them because with monokuma around it wouldn't have been safe to do so. shsl despair must be controlling monokuma and putting them through all this because, idk, it's what junko would have wanted or something like that. hinata also notes what the email said about a future foundation research facility on jabberwock island; this doesn't make sense to him, the only building that appeared to be a future foundation facility was the ruins and that can't possibly have been their research lab, and why are there no other future foundation members here?

Finally finished Violet
Honestly I haven't gotten this attached to a pokemon gome in a LONG time
the interactions felt genuine, the pacing of Arven's story felt nice and natural, I legit CRIED cause of Mabostiff
I love Nemona, she's wonderful
Penny is relatable
I loved getting to bond with the teachers, having Professor Hassle be your last elite four was so fun cause it felt like having your grandfather battle you and he was proud of his grandkid
Getting to walk with the starters at the beginning was fun too, getting to see their personalities. My lil quacker boy stuck by my side the whole time so I chose him.
Mirai. Enough said
WOW even Turo's AI knew what a shit human being he was. Seriously dude you're willing to endanger the ecosystem that badly? fucking prick.
Overall, I loved this game
Mind you though I'm talking about the story.
CAUSE DEAR LORD THE AMOUNT OF GLITCHES, FRAME RATES DROPPING MOMENTS WHERE MY GAME ACTUALLY LAGGED AND FROZE, AND MY OWN CHARACTER NOT PROPERLY MOVING
that was stupid.

The Garuru-shaped hole in Kiratto Pri⭐Chan
Kiratto Pri⭐Chan is the newest iteration in what's suddenly being called the Pretty Series collective franchise of idol animes based on a long-running idol arcade game series targeted at gamer tweens. It has a console game on the Nintendo Switch along with PriPara, and although the anime is not conventionally popular it has amassed a strangely sizable following of Japanese artists and musicians. The modern innovation that Pri⭐Chan brings to the table is that now they run a youtube channel I guess. However, in my opinion the show is so far missing the spark of madness that had colored the Pretty Rhythm and PriPara seasons of the past, and this void is reflected in the memetic response to Pri⭐Chan on social media.
I've tried to express what's appealing about the PriPara and Pretty Rhythm series in the past, to limited success, but I'm going to attempt to expound on that again because I don't learn from experience. My enjoyment of the Pretty Series hinges on three things: the pseudomagical setting that borders on something you’d see in a magical girl, the oddball sometimes-progressive characters that you wouldn't normally expect from an anime, and the underlying feeling that all of this is tenuously messed up in a way that's difficult to describe in words. A microcosm of these aspects is PriPara and Idol Time PriPara’s Garuru, an aggressively bitey and completely tone deaf golem born out of the suffering of children.
Garuru was the prime example of something that you would never normally include in a similar idol anime like the Aikatsu series, since she’s an anomaly with no business existing who can't even sing right, but PriPara lets her on stage to do her thing anyway with no expectation that she would improve or change, but instead insisting that she only needed to find out where she belonged. This embracing of themes that were unconventional or even diametrically opposed to how anime usually treats girl idols endeared me to Pretty Rhythm and PriPara over anything else in that wheelhouse.
(source)
Perhaps unfortunately, Pri⭐Chan hasn't yet reached the same levels of weird, or had any really unconventional characters so far. It's only six episodes in, but although the faces by the new series director Ikehata are top notch funny, it doesn't feel as low-key messed up as the Moriwaki-directed windows to the Pretty Series multiverse, and fans of PriPara have subconsciously started to take matters into their own hands to fill this Garuru-shaped hole. Screenshots of a glitch in the previously mentioned Nintendo Switch game that caused Mirai Momoyama to appear to be in grey, black, and blue, missing an eye and most of her right hand, were retweeted thousands of times and inspired hundreds of drawings of "Glitch Mirai" (バグみらいちゃん), flooding twitter and other social media with an idol who was never supposed to exist.
(source)
(source)
This inexplicable surge of popularity over a visual error for a frankly very buggy game over any other part of the show represents how important this missing aspect was to the fanbase of this otherwise unremarkable idol anime for tweens. It's slightly reminiscent to the more subversive aspects of some american cartoons, like Star vs the Forces of Evil, or Adventure Time, that occasionally dip into existential horror, and although it may not have been intentional in the past, its absence here is unmistakable. Although Kiratto Pri⭐Chan is perfectly serviceable as an idol anime, and as an arcade game advertisement, to me it distinctly lacks the spark of madness that would make it truly different.
